WE'RE NEW TO SAN ANTONIO and it's all about the eats!!! we've heard about Killer Burger and we decided to see what the hype was about. The ambiance and vibes were chill and cool, everyone dining in were about their grub business that's for sure lol. It was pretty packed inside which says a lot and we were excited to get to business like everyone else lol. The service was great, very friendly and definitely patient due to our indecisiveness but the cashier helped us out a lot and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Classic Burger and the Bender burger and of course fries and drinks. Let me tell you, killer burger has THEE BEST SWEET ICED TEA I've had in a veeerrryyy long time!! It was super sweet and delicious!. If you can't tolerate super sweet you can dilute it with their unsweetened tea as well, a good half n half will be perfect or you can go with unsweetened altogether. The burgers were absolutely AMAZING! Very very good and the cook on them were perfection. The fries were seasoned very well and it brought everything together. We dined in and it didn't take long for our food to come out. This restaurant was about 40mins away from where we live but the drive was definitely worth it! and we will be swinging back by tomorrow lol. Killer burger, what can I say? The name speaks wonders and volumes for not only the place but for the food. I absolutely love this place. I tried more than one item of the menu, and oh my goodness it was amazing. It was probably to die for which goes almost hand-in-hand with knowing that the place is called killer. I had the peanut butter pickle, bacon burger and at first I was a little skeptical because I mean peanut butter on a burger, not to mention pickles and peanut butter but then again bacon does make everything better so why not. However, believe it or not the peanut butter Was just on point flavorful like even the peanut butter was slipping out the side of the burger I was licking it right off the bun that's how delicious it was. Heard all about Killer Burger coming to the far west side of San Antonio and it has finally opened! Visited within the first week of opening on a Thursday evening and there was quite a line to the entrance however the line moved reasonably fast! It was about 15 minutes until I made it to the front register however I do like that they give you the menu prior to ordering. The staff was very friendly when ordering and the food came out fast. My wife ordered the Classic which was packed with flavor seemed like a smash burger with cheese, sweet juicy pickles, and lettuce my wife held the house sauce so we missed out there and I ordered the Purist which included a thicker patty with cheese and bacon and ketchup and mayo! The meat was nicely seasoned and cooked to order and the fries were nice and crisp nicely salted. For beverages there is tea, Pepsi products and all kinds of syrups to make your soda dirty! The interior is nice ambiance black wall surrounding the restaurant with a nice mural painting on one side. Overall great burgers and excellent service will be sure to return highly recommend you give these burgers a try! read more

We went on opening night 11/18/24. The line was just outside the doors and we waited a little under 45 minutes for them to take out to go order. There were seats inside available but we were taking home for family that was not present to eat. The wait was not bad for opening night. The girl that took our order was not really sure about the menu and had to keep going to ask other people our questions like can we take off the bacon since every burger has bacon but we didn't want it and if the chile was hot, etc. We got one of their frozen non-alcoholic drinks (strawberry lemonade) and it was really good. The burgers were delicious and fresh. The Jose Mendoza burger had green chile on it and it was mild with some bites that packed a punch (not super hot but spicy). We ordered a side of fries and a shareable fry basket. They were ample size for two people and the single was perfect for one person. The only thing we didn't like was the fries were soggy and wet in the box when we got home (we live 5 minutes away) and so we didn't eat them. They would hopefully be good if you eat in the restaurant. They were good fries not the little pieces all at the bottom of the bag, which was a plus but like I said too wet to eat. All in all, 3 burgers, drink, and fries came to $56 and change. It was a little pricey but not that bad because the burgers were good. Our mistake was taking it to go. And parking was very easy to find. The restaurant could have been cleaner but it was lunch hour and they were doing the best that they could. The place was packed. This is the best burger I think I have ever had in San Antonio. The meat Patty was absolutely delicious. Tons of flavor. But nothing in this burger overpowered any other ingredient? Everything somehow was the star of the show. The mushrooms were delicious and juicy. The cheese was gooey and very much present. The bacon was nice and crunchy but not burnt to a crisp. And there was enough bacon for every bite. The onions did its job well and weren't... soggy nor slippery. The pickles were awesome and the house sauce was dreamy. All my other coworkers enjoyed their food very much. And we had the surprise of being given a free peanut butter burger. The Customer Service from the front end was excellent, nothing to complain about. - We Waited 42 minutes for our two burgers and a basket of fries. - Restaurant only had 1 cook, and 1 person taking orders, prepping the to go and assisting the cook. (It was a Sunday, maybe need to hire more help on Sundays) so the restaurant was really dirty, 6 uncleaned tables and no trash cans in the lobby. 6 Tables sitting and waiting on food (including us), 2 groups of people in line (noticed 3 separate groups leave because of the wait time). - Restrooms were dirty and disgusting. - manager door has a sign "No f****** headphones or phones" and "no slamming fry trays, etc" lol i mean i def agree with the managers door sign but maybe not for the public to see from the register views. - employees were very nice, look very over worked and under staffed, and it appears to go orders were their main priority then the food for the folks inside the store. This place was Killer!!! Walked in the door was promptly greeted by a friendly staff member who asked if we were with Yelp. I told her my name and she proceeded to give us the information we needed to go to the counter and order food. Upon walking to the counter I noticed this beautiful mural on the wall and how nice and clean everything is(I know it's new, but I hope it can stay this way). We reviewed it here menu, there are several options to choose from and even chicken sandwiches. We decided to go with the classic burger. I got seasoned fries and my boyfriend got the salted fries. We got our drinks which I picked Pepsi zero, love this! They have other options such as beer and frozen drinks. As well as different kinds of syrup to try in your drink. We waited for our food to come out and admired the dining area. I sat on the nice wooden bench and my boyfriend sat in the chair. We did notice the music was a little on the loud side but I get it! The place is new and they gotta work all the kinks out. This was my only negative experience. Burgers came out within 5-7 minutes. Oh my goodness, this burger was so flavorful and juicy. You are asked if you want your burger cooked with pink or no pink (well or medium well). On the surface, the peanut butter pickle burger might look odd and a bit gimmicky, but it's really not. I myself have done all-beef hotdogs with peanut butter in the past. The combination of peanuts and beef appear in various traditional cuisines (a Thai staple for example would be a beef satay with peanut sauce). The burger was good; they all were. Juicy, cooked to the appropriate temp, everyone enjoyed their meal. My only criticism is with the potato fries. I wanted to really like them. The outside are crisp and golden, not soggy or flavorless. Visually, they look flawless. However, they are almost all fry and no potato. They are so dense, my jaw actually started getting tired chewing them; kind of like when you are chewing your way through a tough bag of beef jerky. The burgers are great, but I won't be going there again due to the nail shop located next to it that shares the ventilation the acrylics are overpowering.
