Absolutely amazing seafood. Been coming since they opened. My family and I have tried many items and all have been great. I am so happy we have a seafood place that has exactly what I want. I loved this place. It was my first time trying seafood bake and this place delivered. Now I'm in NYC looking for places to have this food again. The menu was easy to maneuver, we didn't wait too long but I had my margarita to sip on so I was good. Wish the drink had a bit more alcohol, I felt cheated there. Low quality customer care. I ordered a large gumbo--- when they handed the soup to me, I questioned that is was small, they assured me it was their LG. it was maybe 2 cups the most for a large gumbo soup. I came home opened it to find it less then half filled, I got less then a cup of soup. I paid $17. plus tip. 20$. Then when I called to let them know that they didn't fill my cup up, they assured me that that was the accurate amount of soup. Our server, Tyler, was incredible!! He was efficient, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed. We talked to almost every staff member including the head chef, and they were all extremely welcoming and helpful. The restaurant itself had a great vibe and ambiance. The food was also incredible! Let me start with the positive. We had, The Pew Pew, chargrilled Oysters & lobster Bisque....WOW I wasn't really expecting it to be so good, I mean it's Waco?! But the food was amazing 6 star!!! Now the not so good...Dear Owner, The doors should open at 11 not 11:04. I even called at 11:02 because doors were still locked - but no one answered! Next, the food came out sporadically. I would have expected the soup first, but the Oyster came first, then the Pew pew then soup. (Check your camera we sat at bar.) Next, I ran out of water, watched the server walk right past me got a water thought it was for me or the table behind us, but no, it was for herself where she return back to her spot at the end of the bar on her phone. The first time we were asked if we needed anything else was we were nearly done. I don't want to get pestered but certainly more than at the end of the meal. A wet napkin would be a great addition when eating The Pew Pew! The towelettes are not enough. Next is the music. All Latin...mix it up? We will definitely be back. The food makes up for A LOT!!!! I got the seafood boil and Carlos (the cook in the back) put his FOOT in this food!! The market price for the king crab was beyond reasonable ($66 the day I went). The added items (potatoes, sausage, eggs, corn) were slightly on the expensive side, but well worth it. First post-deployment meal since returning from the Middle East and I made the best decision. When I bought it to the attention of the manager, they offered to recook and would not refund my money. Thank God my credit card did after seeing pictures - Now read below for yourself, copied from their inspection. Killer Crab at 130 North New Road in Waco failed a renewal inspection with a 67. According to the food safety worker, there was a container of moldy, cooked food in the walk-in cooler that had to be thrown out. The raw beef was stored above the iced tea. There was a black substance on soda gun, unlabeled liquid inside some chemical spray bottles, and the business could not produce the oysters' stock records. The cooked potatoes, eggs, and corn didn't have any use by dates. This place needed a re-inspection. read more

First time here and it was super yummy! We usually travel out of town for our seafood boils but Killer Crab hit the spot. My sister had the knife with medium spiciness and she said it was not too spicy, I had the Uzi with mild spiciness and was very buttey, garlicy, with a whisper of spice (which I loved). Our waitress, LaToya was SUPER hospitable & patient with us, 10/10 customer service! The ambience was great! The playlist was soo good we had to ask for it. The initial greet at door the food service is horrible. The server wasn't attentive nor knowledgeable at all about menu. She wasn't able to answer basic questions as to what in the entrées such as if it was mild spicy or types of sauce. She was slow and served some dishes way before others came out and we all ordered at same time. Most of the food was served cold including appetizers. Waitstaff were sitting in dining room eating and drinking then would get up to serve customers without washing hands. For some reason the employees were going in and out door to side of the building even though they had tables to attend. We got only one refill because our server was busy going outside and we decided to leave when some of people from our table happened to be in restroom with her and after she finished her business walked straight out restroom and to our table. Although the food tasted ok in spite of being served cold the prices are deal breaker. The food prices are way to high especially for such small portions and terrible service. I drove over an hour to eat there so I definitely will not be eating there ever again and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. read more

Ordered a burger for lunch. Lightly seasoned. Ordered cajun fries with it. They were curly fries with no seasoning on them. Disappointing . I ordered from the lunch menu. where the burger was listed at $16. The regular menu price was $18. When my check came out I was charged the $18 price. I pointed it out to the waitress and showed her that the lunch price was two dollars less. She agreed, but said she could not plug it into the computer, that way that it still came out as $18. I asked her to go tell the manager so maybe he could reprogram the computer. She came back and said yes it was a glitch but he couldn't do anything about it and so I would have to pay $18 for the burger. not very professional probably won't return read more

This was the worst meal and experience we've had in years. There was a giant sign on the door saying "NO REFUNDS". That should've been our first indication to turn around and leave. We waited forever in a empty restaurant for someone to seat us. We sat down and the menus were filthy. Covered in grease and old food. The seats were too. The table was covered in plastic so it could've been filthy underneath, we couldn't tell. The waitress seemed to not know the menu or seem to not want to learn it and when asked about the market price of items, she was unprepared. Our order came out one by one. Some of the meals were 5-15 minutes apart. So some of our party had finished eating while others were just getting their meal. Completely unorganized and no responsibility taken. We wondered if it was a front to something else (nefarious?) vs being ab actual restaurant- that's how much they. Did. Not. Care. The crab was over cooked, dry and really light on the weight. Some of the legs were completely empty on several of our clusters. The waitress quoted by the pound but we were served one cluster, which is very different than by the pound. Some of the clusters, I would guess were maybe 1/4 of a lb? No soap in the women's bathroom. The crab butter was all over our hands and we had to wipe off with napkins and wash at home- gross. The soda machine only had water and they laughed and said it hadn't worked for over a week (?!) and we paid for drinks. Overall it was a complete waste of time and money and we ended up going to a drive through and hour later because we were still hungry. read more

All food we ordered are delicious! Little bit bland but I prefer that than salty. Super crispy breadings, cooked perfectly crunchy outside and moist inside. We love every bit of it! Yes for all but the calamari is the bomb! They have different flavor of dipping sauce, I like the firecrackers. We will definitely come back! read more

Very rarely I complain ...the waitress she took our order never wrote it down! It came out and was wrong evidentially it was the table next to ours. Had to freaking flag her down to come back I hate doing that !!! only 3 tables are occupied so it's not like they are busy she took it back to the kitchen and it was so obvious she tied back up the back and gave it back to the ppl next to us! I've never had such bland food for the price also she never brought lemons that I asked for had to go get our own refills and had to go find her to actually pay so we could leave! This was my first time eating at this restaurant. The staff was amazing! Our waitress was wonderful. A cook even came out to check to see if we enjoyed our food. I had the Pew Pew with garlic butter. The crab and shrimp were a nice size and fresh! The entree tasted amazing! Our table also had catfish, the chicken tenders and The Knife. Everything tasted great and was just the way we ordered it. Told her I ordered soup and she said oh I'll go check. Then she had the nerve to tell me " oh were really busy". There were 4 tables that had people. I hate to say this, but the food just wasn't good. First of all, we ordered an appetizer of boudain balls and were informed they didn't have them. Then my girlfriend asked for a crawfish dish and was told they had none of those either. My GF settled for a cup of gumbo and a cup of lobster bisque. I'm from Cajun country and have eaten a lot of gumbo, but nothing quite like she was served which tasted more like a chemical compound and was inedible. When my order of shrimp and catfish arrived it looked like I'd nailed it. A large catfish fillet and several plump shrimp were nested inside enough French fries for an army. The shrimp didn't disappoint, but the catfish was a paper thin piece covered by a thick, bland tasting crust. Sorry, but after my experience, I can't recommend this place. read more

The service could've been better and the food was ok! I ordered online, I arrived 10mins after the time I was told the food would be ready and I still waited an additional 15mins to receive my food. I placed my order at 12:26, pick up time was 12:56. I arrived at 1:06 and didn't get my food until 1:36!! When I got my food I noticed that the crab cakes were missing, so I had to go back to get them. They were not fresh at all and they were overcooked. While I was there I could see the cooks in the back and one of them was wearing a long silver necklace while preparing food...I'm sure that's a food safety violation. Should have listened and read the other reviews as most were right on. Was at the Waco location. Food was good to great. The corn, potatoes and sausage were amazing, most likely the best I have ever had, the shrimp was good and the crab ok. However you have to ask and wait for everything (silverware, sweetener, refills) as they don't bring them out initially and rarely check on how you are doing. Plenty of staff but most were talking to each other and several just outside the front door smoking. Any request was grudgingly attended to. The menus needed to be cleaned and with the food covered in a buttery substance it is messy, but its seafood, so somewhat expected. Bill was high, but most seafood is these days, but the bottom line is the food good and in some cases great, but the service is lousy. Hope they figure things out as could be a neat place. read more

This review is for the Waco, TX location. Met our daughter and her family here today. We stood at the desk where a menu was and waited and waited. Finally a female came out and said hi. We were seated after that. It was not like it was busy...there were only 2 customers in the place. When I received my snow crab claws it was in a bag with the garlic butter also in the bag. The only way to eat it was with your hands. I had garlic butter under my rings and it was disgusting. As I tried to get the crab out I found some did not have any crab in them and the ones that did only had 3/4 to 1/2 crab - way overcooked. My order was made online and when I arrived it seemed nobody was aware my order existed, but of course it was sitting on a rack the whole time. I ordered the "Uzi" which is advertised as 1lb crawfish, 1lb shrimp, and two crab clusters. This review should be taken more as a warning than anything. The price point for what I got is outrageous. Just shy of $100 after tax and $8 tip gets you get a "two person meal" barely suitable for a 12 year old kid. I am genuinely sad I paid for food here. I cannot imagine they will be in business for long. All in all, if you plan on coming here just know it will cost you. The only reason I have two stars is for the food. Bad menus. I ordered the Butterflied Shrimp plate which the menu stated it included fries and hushpuppies. I stated to the waiter that I wanted hushpuppies with my meal. The plate arrived without hushpuppies. I asked about the missing menu item. The waiter went to the kitchen and came back. She stated that hushpuppies were for catfish plates only. Also, that if I wanted hushpuppies that I would have to order them separately and pay extra regardless of what the menu stated. They didn't proofread their printed menu.
