Classic Breakfast Sandwich (Bacon, egg & cheese on a bagel)

Stopped at killer joes this morning and loved the vibe. I walked in and saw the DJ which definitely caught me by surprise. It's definitely not your classic Breakfast on the go spot. The line was decent especially for Easter Sunday. The staff is so kind! The bagel was both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. However, the bagel is very thick. If you aren't big on carbs, I'd recommend ordering this but with the croissant or low carb options. I also like how you can customize the bark with sauces or additional items. Love it!

This is the SPOT! Amazing breakfast sandwiches, coffee and paninis. Great vibes, dj set up Saturdays. Great service. All around my favorite breakfast spot in dallas! I am still working through the menu but think my favorite is the spaghetti western or SOB. Also killer coffee!

Small little hole in the wall coffee shop ! The staff were all super nice and helpful- the place itself wasn't really my vibe, very loud alt music blasting and skulls and such but the coffee itself was really good! I got the Sea Salt Caramel de Leche Latte and it was super tasty. There's amount 4 tables inside and about 5 outside. There is a sign that says no laptops or working remotely on the weekends- I'm assuming bc it's so small and they get so busy. Overall I enjoyed the coffee but the environment wasn't really for me. I highly recommend trying at least if you're in the area !

Amazing spot for some GREAT coffee and a bite to eat! As my first time here the girl at the counter was super helpful in helping me choose some of their best items. I went with a coffee and lemonade for drinks. For food I got their bagel and wow was it delicious. Packed with flavor and the thing was humongous! More of a smaller type of feel but don't let that fool you there stuff is amazing. There are about 3-4 tables inside. So if u wanted to sit for a sec you could but I think it is a more grab and go! This place will not disappoint! Give it a try!

It's hard to find a coffee spot with solid food that's still grab and go. This place hits it. And it's different from many other Dallas coffee shops with its vibe. Their burritos are amazing and their French toast latte was great. Cold brew wasn't okay but lattes were better.

This is one of those places that you drive by all the time but you never really hear about and that needs to change! The iced sea salt caramel de Leche latte is out of this world! And it comes in a big cup so I actually feel like I'm getting my $7 worth. Parking is mehhhh but let's be real parking isn't great at all of the best coffee shops in Dallas. It's a small little space so maybe it's best to order ahead (especially on weekends), but I promise it's absolutely worth it. The few times I've gone everyone working has been really nice! They also make a pretty good breakfast sandwich!

Their specialty latte was pretty good! I was a bit apprehensive when I walked up to the counter and saw all of the generic syrups because that generally means the coffee isn't as good, but I was surprised by how creamy and well balanced my latte was. I can't remember exactly what I got, but I asked the barista what their most popular latte was and ordered exactly that. Next time, I'll try their food because it seems like they have some really loyal fans and a lot of bagels too!

This is my new favorite coffee shop in Dallas!! 44 mile drive there and it's so worth it. I had a ham and egg croissant and a salted Carmel de Leche iced latte. Both were absolutely delicious and I loved the vibes.

Absolutely loved the flavor of my latte and the quality of the coffee! It was crowded inside, however the vibes were so fun! They had a DJ playing music.

The coffee was actually really good but I was not super impressed with the food or space. I got an iced French toast latte (which was great) as well as the Hot Italian Stallion panini (which was mid). The sandwich proportions were a little skimpy and the seating was TIGHT- it's not an atmosphere you can sit casually and enjoy your food / drink. The staff was amazing, but if I come back I'm just getting a coffee to go.

nice coffee spot, parking a tad limited great interior and atmosphere, the menu on the wall was great attention to detail. coffee came out timely during a busy hour. coffee itself was phenomenal, true to coffee taste, not too sweet matcha pistachio latte was also great. Although the star was the coffee.

Food @ Killer Joe Coffee is tasty and generous. I ordered the S.O.B. (Sausage on everything bagel w bacon & egg ) and an iced sea salt caramel de leche latte . Bagel sandwich was delicious and moist! Too much for just one meal. Lucky me ! And the iced latte was sweet and refreshing! Service is attentive and helpful. I wanted a sweet ice coffee , and barista recommended the sea salt caramel de leche latte over ice. Perfection! Ambiance is cozy with tables, bench seating and chairs. Folks at Killer Joe make you feel welcomed.

The service was great. Limited seating inside, they do have some outside seating but no heaters for the cold. So it's more of a grab and go. They have a DJ on Saturdays which is fun but a little overstimulating. The matcha is good, not amazing but good. It can be very sweet sometimes.

Please note that parking in this area is particularly difficult but if you come in the morning, it should be easier to find. Another thing worth nothing is that they are more of a quick standing coffee bar type of place and I definitely wouldn't recommend it for families or kids, so keep that in mind when visiting. Now to the food... They have a small but mighty menu for breakfast and lunch. For my first time I decided to try their The Monte Duro, which is a pastry style "hot pocket" with smoked prosciutto, mortadella, mustard and jam. For drink I decided to go with their Dirty Chai Latte. The drink was absolutely perfection and exactly what I needed in a warm Texas morning. The Monte Duro was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor! Both my friend and I ordered the same thing and we were both obsessed with it.

There were tons of mushrooms and creamy flavor. By far one of the best grilled cheeses I ever had. Banana horchata matcha: This drink was very sweet and good for people that dont like bitter drinks. I loved the banana flavor and it reminded me of banana bread. There was also a lot of cinnamon in the drink which made it so tasty.

It's got that airy, high-ceiling energy that's perfect for getting work done without feeling like you're trapped in a cubicle. The Vibe: It's cool without trying too hard. You'll see local art on the walls and plenty of natural light. By day, it's a laptop paradise with lo-fi beats; by night, the lights dim, the music picks up, and the patio becomes the place to be--especially if you have a dog in tow. Happy Hour (3 PM - 7 PM Daily): This is the real draw. Their Espresso Martini is a local legend, but the Chocolate Espresso Martini is the move if you want something decadent. If you're there on a Tuesday, they run happy hour prices all night. Don't sleep on the $5 pimento grilled cheese--it's the ultimate "I'm not that hungry but I need a snack" food. The People: Expect a very "Lower Greenville" crowd: a mix of productive millennials, SMU students with headphones on, and groups of friends sharing s'mores kits (yes, you can roast them at your table). The staff is laid-back and friendly, though they definitely stay hustling during the weekend brunch rush. Bottom line: It's reliable, unpretentious, and arguably the best spot on the block to switch from a latte to a lager without changing seats.

However they were attentive and the overall ambiance was nice and upbeat for a brunch place. Food wise, everything here was average. Nothing stood out as something I absolutely would come back for. We got two Benedict's that were not very warm and has hollandaise/gravy that was not very flavorful but the home fries were seasoned and fried well. The French toast was quite good but was very obviously put in the microwave right before serving with a steaming hot center. The best part was the blueberry kale salad which had a nice vinaigrette and the cashews were a nice touch. Overall, with the number of brunch spots in Dallas I would reserve halcyon for study/coffee spot as opposed to a must try weekend brunch.

I genuinely thought there had been a pouring mistake, so I politely asked at the counter. The response? "Yes, that's correct--it's supposed to be about 1 1/2 inches from the top." Reader, it was not 1 1/2 inches. It was more like "emotionally distant from the rim." I even slid the cup closer, hoping maybe perspective was playing tricks on me. Nope. Same answer.
