The bun bo hue here is the best bun bo hue I've had at a restaurant in SoCal, and beats all the well-known bun bo hue spots I've tried like Nha Trang and Summer Rolls in SGV as well as Quan Vy Da, Ngu Binh, and Ben Ngu in OC. The broth of the bun bo hue here has a profound depth of flavor as well as a nice spicy kick to it. The noodles and the meat toppings are good but it's really the broth that distinguishes this place. My Vietnamese friend's aunt makes the most legendary bun bo hue from a home kitchen. Her bun bo hue has led me to a relentless journey to find a better bun bo hue in SoCal and although Kim Hoa Hue still doesn't beat her version of the dish, it certainly has come the closest. Items like Banh Nam, Banh Ram It, Banh Uot Thit Noung are especially delicious and are quite satisfying when you don't want broken rice or pho. There's plentiful parking with a large lot to the right side of the restaurant. We ordered the Banh Uot which came hot and soft, the juicy grilled meat + mint leaf pairing very well with a mild peanut sauce. This dish really reminded me of my childhood days during large gatherings with all the cousins, aunties, and uncles haha. The Banh Nam (my mom likes to call them Vietnamese tamales) were so soft and practically melts in your mouth with the fish sauce. Everything is shareable and was quickly devoured!! I saw this Vietnamese restaurant when walking home from the gym. I never really thought to try it until my brother suggested it for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by their offerings of things that looked less common. I saw a lot of "Hue" style in the dish names. I went for a beef salad dish that had beef slices and banana flowers. I think the flowers were deep fried. And I think they put shallots and some other herbs. It had a sauce that kind of tasted like honey mustard mixed with fish sauce. Overall it was quite yummy. The beef does have some tendon in it. I also tried the goi cuon (spring roll) that is common. Theirs was adequate. My dad got a vegetarian dish (V3 on menu) and it was vermicelli with a bunch of things like mushroom and what I believe is vegetarian pork. I tried a bite and it tastes like some of the Buddhist vegetarian food I've had in the past. Very umami with the mushrooms. My brother got a chicken rice dish that had a passion fruit sauce I think. It tasted like karaage a bit. It was okay to me. Overall I liked the dishes I chose for myself, and their prices are quite good. The beef dish was only $11! I would say this place is worthy of being a hidden gem. It's got the hallmarks of a mom and pop ethnic restaurant with some misspellings and a not very aesthetic menu. I used to go to their old location on Garvey ave. Glad to see they opened a new location here. Always enjoy this type of foods. It is not your run of the mill Pho restaurants you find all over. Was craving a bowl of noodle soup and stumbled upon this restaurant in Temple City. Ordered the Bun Bo Hue and Banh Uot Thit Nuong Bun Bo Hue: one of the better ones I've had and this featured a lot of meat and delicious flavor in comparison to like Nha Trang. I did add a little bit of the satay sauce I think it was that was on the table and it made it even better. Would definitely come back just for this. Banh Thit Nuong: first time ordering this and was surprised at how much pork was in each. Good flavor profile and enjoyed the dipping sauce that was provided. There's plenty of street parking, the restaurant is clean, and the service is great. The BBH was fantastic--tender meat, flavorful broth, and the chili oil was exceptional. They offer a variety of rice rolls, some of which I had never tried before. I think this is a second location for this pho restaurant. Unfortunately they don't seem very busy. Hubby says it's too bad bc they've got really good pho and tasty pho broth (which is the heart of the pho dish itself). It's not mastered as well in other places as Kim Hoa Hue, per hubby. I'm only giving 4 stars because I am not into pho. Maybe pho places are getting to be saturated in this area or this is just not a good location on Las Tunas. It also doesn't come all red like most places and the chilis they have here on the side to add are spicy! Pho Dac Biet: a little different from your usual Pho. I find it to be more savory and you can really taste the beef broth more. Rice rolls. C6. Banh uot thit nuong. This was really good! This place makes thit nuong the pork inside much more flavorful. Seems like a good authentic spot. Packed on a Friday night although the place isn't very big. I'll be honest in that I wasn't overly impressed with the food but the smoothies were legit. I like that they make smoothies from scratch with real ingredients. I had the mung bean smoothie and you could taste the real chunks of mung bean in it. For food, my boyfriend ordered bun bo hue. He said the beef was tender and they gave a lot of pork knuckle. I ordered the C9, which was a rice cake combo. Unique since I haven't had some of these cakes but it was very filling and the taste left me wishing it was more flavorful. Relies a lot on the fish sauce for added flavor. Textures were nice to explore but this almost feels like a dish to be shared. I think the bánh bèo lacked the crispy scallions I'd get from some places so it wasn't as flavorful or interesting in terms of texture. We've found a new spot to frequent! We were looking for pho on a rainy night and the other spot we went to was jam packed so we looked up closeby places and Kim Hoa Hue came up. Swung by and it looks pretty new - the inside reflects that too as everything was nice and new, and they still have the welcome/celebration banners and plants up near the front, with a very clean fish tank. While my toddler was occupied watching the fish, we ordered the Banh Bot Loc, Nem summer rolls, a Pho Tai with meatballs, and a Bun Bo Hue. Everything really hit the spot, and service was quick and good. I haven't found too many places with Bot Loc (I'm no expert so I haven't personally seen it on too many menus around here), so anytime I see it, I need to get it! Spoiler alert: it was okay. BUT I was happy to just see it and be able to fill the re-emerged craving. Their broth is more peppery than I'm used to, but made it unique. We were craving some Hue dishes and drove to El Monte for a quick bite. Thankfully, there was a huge sign directing us to their new location, which luckily coincided with their grand opening week. Happy find. Happy tummies. The taste hasn't changed from their previous hole in the wall location, but now you can enjoy dishes in a nicer location with clean decor. Tables turn relatively quickly so don't shy away if you see a line. The wait list is at the front by the register. Agreed with most people's reviews so far! Woke up from a long nap wanting Vietnamese food and this place is so mom and pop vibes. In a good way? I'm not sure yet. I found the service to be relatively quick and attentive, no complaints. I started off ordering bun Bo hue as a safe bet, and I was satisfied, but I'm on board with others reviews saying it kinda lacks a bit in flavor. In addition, I ordered banh nam(flat rice shrimp and pork dumpling) and it was pretty tasty with generous portion. I saw sinh to mang cau(soursop smoothie) and immediately ordered that since it's one of my favs! Food is definitely more on the homestyle side tasting if that makes sense, seems like they might be using less artificial ingredients which is good. I saw a few flies roaming around when I was there. Overall, I'm happy to have a new option for smoothies and hue style dishes that I dont have to drive down to valley or Garvey or little Saigon for! My favorite was the smoothie, but that's neither here or there. It's honestly a 3.5/5 place for me so far but they deserve the 4 stars as a new business! decided to give this place a try when i heard that there was a new vietnamese place in town. the bon bo hue was very flavorful and the broth was rich. the egg rolls were super crispy and we thoroughly enjoyed the spring rolls. took off a star because it does get pretty crowded on the weekends and also ten dollars for two spring rolls is a bit wild to me. however, i would say that this is a pretty solid spot if you're craving for some vietnamese food. the interior of the restaurant was very clean and well lit. read more

Wow! Amazing flavors on every dish! Quick too! You can tell they take pride in the Vietnamese cuisine. I tried their Ban Lac (I hope I'm spelling that right) and pho. Both delicious.
