So this is the second time I have driven out from the valley to get some of these delicious eggrolls and it didn't disappoint!! I tried two different eggrolls this time and they were absolutely the best eggrolls I have ever had! I ordered a dozen of the #1 which are pork, shrimp and crab. I also ordered a dozen of the #12 which are the large shrimp. This place is a walk up window and you order your choices. They come out fresh and you gotta eat em while they're hot. Their popular egg roll is the number 1 and they did not disappoint. The vibe is very much hole in the wall. You literally order from the back of the restaurant and wait for your food to come out. Definitely all take out, but when you got a whole tray of finger food, do you really need a table? All the food was decently priced and you do have to order a minimum of 10 egg rolls. Parking is kind of hard and this place is easy to miss. So I'd try to come off peak hours and park in the back (since you gotta order from there anyways). You order at the back door and wait at the table for your number to be called. Everything is to go. I ordered ten of their popular crab, shrimp,and pork egg rolls. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while, since my family is all eating vegetarian food today, I saw that they offered vegetarian options eggs rolls and ordered 40 frozen rolls so I can have them cooked at home. Kim Hong Eggrolls is THE Iconic egg roll place in Westminster. We were so lucky to find them during the covid pandemic and have been visiting ever since. They are the nicest people. The food is always the same, so good! You have to drive around to the back, there is parking and just go to the door and order what you want. Then they cook them and off you go. But on this particular occasion we just decided to sit in the car and dig in. They are so good when they are still so hot! We ordered the pork, shrimp and crab ones along with shrimp ones. We were driving home after a place that we were trying to go to was closed and we are so thankful that it was closed because we drove by and I randomly saw this place. We have been wanting to come here for a very long time! We got 10 number 1's and 10 number 9's, they were delicious! After reading all sorts of good things about this place, decided I had to give it a try. I went during the week, and the process is quick and easy. (Also easily found parking, but can see where that might be an issue during busier times.) I wanted a couple different eggroll flavors, and was told to get the #1 and the #9. Remembered to get some sauce just to make it official, but anyone into eggrolls is likely to already have their preferred accompaniment at home. Enjoyed the eggrolls quite a bit. Not sure if they were the best or not, but they WERE quite good. (One thing Southern California is blessed with is a wide variety of Asian food.) The only thing challenging about this place is trying to figure-out what hours they're open. I went on a Monday, and read everything from they're closed to they're open noon to 6:00p. I kept the left over in the fridge for a few days and airfried them again and yet they were still crunchy. Must be the baking soda or something that they used to make the crunch so delicious. She's direct and quick but not too mean. She persuaded me to order #1 so I ended up placing 10 of that along with 10 pork and taro. I did have to wait a bit to pick up. The egg rolls are a bit greasy and thinner than what I'm used to but overall taste was a bit above average. I couldn't really taste the crab, same with the other I couldn't taste the taro.
