I'm not a huge fan of egg rolls, but these were to die for. They are so so crispy and honestly a nice change from traditional Vietnamese egg rolls. We ordered a tray for Father's Day and they were still so crispy after we finished eating our meal. I also really like that you can see each ingredient in the egg roll it self, there were good chunks of shrimp. It took about 15 minutes for them to fry up our order, love that it's made to order. The place is pretty warm itself and is more a grab and go spot. I thought that they sold fish sauce on the side for dipping, but I guess not? ig: @cravingswithcat

Spring roll mission: accomplished! We found Com Food To Go on Yelp, called in our order, and boom, 15 minutes later it was ready!! The parking lot, though? It feels like you're competing in Fast & Furious: Parking Lot Drift Edition, so keep your head on a swivel. Inside the restaurant was hotter than the surface of the sun, but the friendly service made up for it. We grabbed the shrimp spring rolls (no pork) with peanut sauce, 3 big rolls for around $8, which is an absolute steal!! Fresh, tasty, and that peanut sauce was so good I would've happily licked the container. Definitely coming back whenever we're in the area!

Located in a plaza, all you got to do is look for the sign it stands out. I came in for these unique eggrolls, ordered and waited for about 10 minutes and viola. These thing are interesting and not greasy. The outside is this crispy texture and you must be careful so you don't mess up the roof of your mouth. Now the inside is good, like the meat, taro and shrimp ratio. Heats up great in the air fryer too. This place also has other food you can order and party trays!

Came here to get their crispy rice coated egg rolls. Yes, inspired by viral TikTok and IG of course. The long commute to GG, the 10 minute wait for the order to be prepared fried and served is worth it. The egg roll is simply delicious. Unique taste unlike other Vietnamese egg rolls. You must eat it while is hot. Crunchy on the outside and flavorful taste on the inside. A definite yes for another trips.

This Take-Away/Walk-In Is Located On Brookhurst, Closer To Bixby But Near Chapman. The Same Center As Yummy Bakery. My 4-Stars Goes To The Combination Of Customer Service & The Special Egg Rolls!! I Called In To Place An Order For Pick Up. Very Friendly & Helpful Female, Also During Pick Ip!!! The Egg Rolls Are Pretty Crispy & Flavorful. If You Need/Want Fish/Hot Sauce, You Can Request When You Arrive.

If you know, you know Com Food To Go is a must every time I'm in SoCal. Their egg rolls are easily the highlight. You do have to call ahead since they make them fresh, but it's 100 percent worth it. They come out hot, crispy, and packed with flavor, super crunchy on the outside with a really satisfying, well seasoned filling inside. You can tell they're not just sitting around under a heat lamp. The staff is always fast and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. Even with calling ahead, everything is smooth and ready to go when you get there. Honestly, this spot is part of my routine now whenever I'm down here. If you're in the area and craving egg rolls, don't skip this place.

I love coming here to pick up a few of my favorites to enjoy at home: Cha Gio Egg Rolls ($7.80 / 6 pieces), Com 3 Combo Lotus Salad ($13), Chicken Sticky Rice ($6), and Banh Bot Loc Tran ($13). They are always prepared well and packed very nicely to go. I always sneak a couple bites of their egg rolls before I leave the store, but they stay crispy even after a 40 minute ride back home. There is a bit of a language barrier over the phone sometimes, depending on who takes your order. They are patient and kind and I really appreciate that!

Came here around 9:30am and waited 10 minutes for our order to finish. Ordered the: 1) Cha Goi - 6 eggrolls $7.80 - we don't get why this is all the rave but it was just ok, nothing too special and the texture was too hard for our tastes 2) wonton noodle soup / mi hoanh Thanh $14 - husband had this and said it was delicious 3) pork and shrimp spring rolls 3 pcs $7.00 - I enjoyed this and the sauce was good Think this place it somewhere between 3.5 to 4 stars.

These specific egg rolls are the best. They're not wrapped in a traditional manner, but with flattened sticky rice, which makes them extra crispy and chewy. The inside is pretty standard (shrimp, carrot, taro), but the exterior is what makes them unique. It may not be for everyone because of how crunchy it is, but it's definitely worth a try.

Not your normal pork eggroll with a different filling and VERY CRISPY rice wrapper! Yum!

... a friend of mine sent me a reel with their special VERY UNIQUE "rice" egg rolls. You can buy them individually, minimum 6 and they are fried fresh to order. Only takes about 5 min if nobody is waiting. Hard to explain the taste, but there is a sign on the wall listing the ingredients, taro, being one. It's flavorful, but not overpowering. The eggrolls are VERY CRISPY AND CRUNCHY!! (watch the roof of your mouth).. They serve it with a spicy sauce that resembles salsa. I'll be back to try the wonton noodle soup and the pork & shrimp spring rolls. This is basically a "to go" place, but there are a few tables if you'd like to dine in. Located in a large strip mall that faces Brookhurst near Chapman.

I was very skeptical when my mom told me about this place. The place is small it's a to go place. Every bite of the eggrolls is better than the last. It's like heaven on earth. When add sweet and sour dipping sauce it's a big difference. The girl at the cashier is super nice and polite and patience too. Especially when my mom asking so many questions.

I saw their crispy rice egg rolls, or chả giò cơm, on TikTok and was immediately intrigued. Happy to say that they are worth the hype - basically everything you dreamed they would be! The only egg rolls the rival my grandmas tbh. As the name states, it's a grab & go food spot and they seem to have options for large party platters as well. I will definitely keep them in mind next time I need to serve a large group of people!

What we got: - Baked clams - my mom and dad like seafood, and they approve - Deep fried calamari - my partner likes calamari, and he approves - Grilled pork spring rolls - pretty good, though I don't think I would get it again because the pork was a bit dry - Salmon belly spring rolls - wow I would definitely get this again next time, even if it's a bit pricey! the salmon belly is so buttery and soft - Grilled filet mignon or pork vermicelli bowl - family friend ordered this since she wasn't too familiar with Viet cuisine; I'd say this is a safe option if you're not used to Vietnamese food - Beef chow fun - the noodles are so crunchy and doesn't soak up the sauce/soup at the bottom too much thankfully so it wasn't too soggy. The veggies were cooked and seasoned well, but I wish there was a bit more beef on this dish Everything was delicious and it's a good restaurant to take my picky parents to if we want to have a nicer sit down family dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty for a Friday mid-afternoon, so service was very quick. The menu has a lot of items, so as a first timer here it took me a while to decide on what I wanted to get! What we got: -$7 Salmon belly roll: this dish stood out the most to me with the piping hot, glistening, crispy salmon skin. I loved the crunch when biting into the roll! The fresh veggies helped balance the flavors as well. The portion was very small though- only two rolls! -$16 Garlic noodles: delicious and garlicky, but very oily. The shrimp were big, but slightly overcooked, so they were dry. -$15 Bo ne: a childhood classic! Dip the banh mi in the egg, or layer on a bit of everything in the banh mi for a hearty bite. The steak was juicy and easy to cut. I liked the spicy links which added more flavor to the meal. Overall, I enjoyed each dish. The flavors are all very familiar with what I ate growing up. Parking is very easy as well since the restaurant is in a huge plaza.

This place is a legit Vietnamese spot and you're unlikely to see a lot of non-Vietnamese folks here. I probably wouldn't have come here either unless I was with my Vietnamese friends. It's big and even though we came at 6:30pm on a Saturday, we got sat pretty immediately. Note that by 8:30 when we left, people were waiting a little bit. We got sat and almost immediately they asked if we were ready to order. Probably because most people order some variation of the 7 beef course and/or the catfish. For your first time, recommend you try the 7 beef course, see what you like, and then you can go a la carte. The food came out immediately, probably 10 minutes before we even got our drinks. And the courses come out fast. The first is the shrimp and beef salad. Crunchy, light, refreshing. Definitely a nice way to start. The next two come together, two plates of raw beef. One seasoned one and one that is just plain raw. You cook the seasoned one on the grill and then you cook the plain one in the vinegar broth. You wrap both in the rice paper which comes hard but you soak it quickly in the bowl of water, place it on your plate, add aromatics and veggies, wrap it up with the beef like a burrito. You dip it in a choice of sauces. There is a pungent, umami rich fermented sauce, a regular fish sauce (which we had to ask for), and a tamarind sauce. From there, you can add peanuts, chili sauce, and lemongrass as much or as little as you like. The chili sauce has some good kick so a little warning there. Also, speaking of peanuts, there's peanuts almost in EVERYTHING. And I imagine there isn't a lot of great effort in preventing cross contamination, if you have nut allergies, you probably want to avoid this spot. Anyway, my favorite was the fermented sauce but it is strong and some people at my table didn't enjoy it. Next is the wrapped beef and meatballs. These definitely have peanuts in it. These are already cooked and quite frankly don't need the rice wrap but it adds a nice flavor and textural contrast. A lot of flavor and juicy, this was my favorite group of meats. The next course was boiled beef. It doesn't sound that appetizing and doesn't look that appetizing but it's decent. This is one that you definitely want to wrap and use sauce with. In between this, we got our catfish. We ordered a large but would have been fine with a small size. The catfish is boiled or steamed and then they must deep fry the skin to give it a crispy flavor. The crispy skin with the tender fish is a real delight. Definitely a different but delicious way to enjoy catfish. The last course is a porridge/soup with, for some reason, alphabet letters. It's pretty light, the broth is flavorful but not heavy. A nice way to end the meal. We also got some drinks, and there was a green drink I got that is supposed to be good for you and comes with coconut. Kind of a less grassy version of wheatgrass and it's refreshing to drink alongside all the meat. My one criticism is how fast the courses come out and we were sat in the back where the A/C wasn't working so that was my one critique. It's definitely a place worth visiting and I think doable without a Vietnamese person if you know what you're doing.
