I came here for lunch one day. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. The inside is very nicely decorated and there were probably only two other people in there with me (early lunch). I'm not too familiar with Korean food, or restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised to see they start off the meal with kimchi. I've had kimchi before and wasn't a big fan, but here, I LOVE. It was so good, I was ecstatic when my waiter asked if I wanted a to go container for my kimchi. Hells yes. I ordered the bibimbap, based on the recommendation of my waiter. He suggested I order an egg and beef with it. I trusted he knew best, so I went with it. I can't compare my dish with another, because I've never tried bibimbap before. It was tasty, but I definitely needed more meat by the time I got to the end of it, with all the rice at the bottom! Overall, it was a good experience. I definitely want to try some more dishes here. Really nice family owned restaurant! The owners are always so sweet every time we visit. I actually really like the seafood pancakes here. I also tried the seafood noodle soup. It wasn't as flavorful as the spicy one so I would recommend that instead. It doesn't have as much seafood as I would like either. Another great dish is the kimchi fried rice with bulgogi. It has a good amount of spice and tang from the kimchi. If you like spicy rice cakes, the ones here are not too spicy which I love. It's much more bearable. I've tried Korean Noodle House three times over the last year or two and finally decided to give it a review. My initial review after the first two experiences would have been one star. First experience - group of six on a weeknight that wasn't that busy. It took forever for food to arrive and out of six orders, they forgot one. Instead of apologizing they just kept saying it was coming out and it eventually came out 45 minutes after all the other dishes. By that time we had already asked to cancel the order because everyone was almost done eating. They brought it out anyways hoping we'd still pay for the dish but we declined the soup we had ordered. Second experience - wife had ordered kalguksoo (soup) and found a steel sponge used for cleaning inside her broth. After that point she had lost her appetite and the staff didn't even give a refund for the soup. They offered a replacement soup but she had lost her appetite finding that sponge... After this experience we decided to stop trying this restaurant even given all the great reviews for about a year. Recent experience - service was still a little slow but the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered two different kinds of cold buckwheat noodles and they were both decent. The buckwheat noodle soup in the cold broth was pretty solid IMO and comes with a warm cup of soup on the side. The spicy buckwheat noodle dish was just okay and didn't seem spicy enough for me. Their kimchi is on point though so that was a nice surprise! Overall a decent experience from this last visit. read more

Finally got a chance to try this place. This is their relocated spot. Not sure if the owner changed but I use to go to their old place for cold spicy noodles with a slushy broth. The signature was their mini kimchi pot that they serve with meals. The new spot has the same kimchi pot but larger! It's fresh, spicy, and flavorful still. The interior is a clean wood with bits and pieces of korean culture. As an appetizer we got the seafood pancake. The pancake was cooked extra crunchy just the way I like it. I ordered their jjambbong kalguksu which is a spicy, hot seafood noodle soup. There were plenty of seafood in the soup but a lot more cabbage! I ate all the seafood and noodles but had to leave out the shredded cabbage. It was a little too much. Overall it was a great experience! Very bad experience with their hospitality. The elder waiter seemed like he has some problems with anyone who's not Korean like himself. This is not the first time my friends and I went to their restaurant and experienced ignorant, eyeballs rolling, questioning of our entry time and poker face treatment. We had to ask several times for menus even we were the only people in the restaurant. He was obviously impatient when talking to us with an attitude of a teenager talking to their parents. Pretend like he didn't know when and how we came in and sat down like we were not customers but intruders. I just don't get the idea where when you open up a restaurant and there is no obvious restrictions towards a certain group of people, which means you are open to the public, how can you hold so much of a hatred towards your customers? I ordered the Bulgogi Stir-fried Noodles and the Kimchi Fried Rice. The Bulgogi Stir-fried Noodles were really one-note. All I could taste was the bulgogi sauce. There were no other flavors or textures that worked well. The Kimchi Fried rice didn't have much flavor and was pretty oily. I would not recommend coming back. read more

I've come here so many times. The food is great. I've had their Spicy Cold Noodles, Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup, Clam Noodle Soup, Tofu Stew, Spicy Stir-Fried Seafood Noodle, and Kimchi Pancake. All have been really good. Their fresh kimchi made in house is some of my favorite kimchi. I buy some togo sometimes. It also helps that they're open on Sundays, and many other of my favourite korean noodle places aren't. My only complaint is that the service is consistently very slow. read more

I've been going to this restaurant ever since they were located in the small house just down the street. Coming in we had to find seats ourselves, took a while for us to put our order in, and we didn't receive the dumplings that we ordered. Other than that, this restaurant is a good place to try out authentic korean food. Complimentary kimchee: Out of all the Korean restaurants I've been to, Korea Noodle House takes home the trophy for for their kimchee. It's crunchy, well marinated, and that kick of spice at the end!! If they were to sell it I would definitely buy it! Rice cake with cheese #48: Of course anything with melted cheese on top is great. I love how their cheese stayed intact and stretched out. The rice cake was chewy, add the cheese and it becomes a flavor blast haha. There was fish cake, glass noodles, and cabbage as well. Portion is huge and could be shared between four people as an appetizer. Black bean noodle: What's interesting is that they make their own noodles here and it's pretty good. This was the first time I have ever tried this dish and it did not disappoint. The sauce had an interesting flavor and there were a lot of onions. You will also find little chunks of meat hidden looking like an onion or cucumber haha. Overall a good place to try out if you looking for some Korean food. Service will be iffy considering on how busy the place is. Price is on par to portion wise. read more

It was a cold day & I was in the mood for some Jjigae. I checked my Yelp app & this place popped up. Hey, I remember you! I haven't been to KNH since they changed locations. Remembering my last great experience there (I know, I can't believe I didn't write a review) I headed over to order some spicy, sinus clearing goodness. The new place is larger & with plenty of parking as it is in a strip center. I walked in & headed toward the bar. I was immediately greeted & when I indicated I was ordering to go the menu immediately appeared. I hopped on a bar stool & opened the menu. I was really torn on what to order, everything sounded so freaking good. As I was headed toward my mom's for a visit I decided on the spicy beef noodle soup, kimchi fried rice, and kimchi rice soup. Yeah, I was in a kimchi & spicy mood. Upon arrival at my mom's house we unloaded & dug in since everything was piping hot. The portions were very generous & when they say spicy, it was spicy. With warm bellies we hit the couch in a food coma. Yep, this is the place to go on a cold day or any time of year. I did spy some things on the menu for future visits. BEST KIMCHI IN TOWN! They make it fresh in house and honestly is the best I've ever had. Food is great and the service is phenomenal. Everyone is so kind. They have a great wine menu and deals then you purchase. Also they give customer loyalty cards, so of course I'm a loyal customer lol. Went with my mom today to have some Korean tofu soup. I would say it was one of the best tofu soup I had. The serving size was just right. What was even better was the complimentary kimchi. I usually don't like to eat restaurant kimchi after getting used to Jongga kimchi. The only recommendations I have is to have straws tall enough to stick outside the cup and also to use metal chopsticks instead of disposable wooden chopsticks because the quality of those chopsticks can be a hit or miss. I was craving tteokbokki and found this place through yelp. Place is pretty spacious with plenty of tables to choose from. I came pretty late at night though so service was quick since we were one of the few people left in the place. The tteokbokki was pretty good with the right consistency. I like them to be somewhat on the chewy side but soft at the same time. The dish itself had a good amount of rice cakes so my craving was satisfied afterwards. We also had the bulgogi noodle which was pretty good. Again, the dish had a good amount of noodles so I don't think you'll leave hungry. Price is decent and similar to other Korean places. When I smelled the soup, I smelled rotten beef. I did taste the broth, noodles & dumplings because I wanted to make sure my sense of smell wasn't off. It wasn't. The restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but the food here was delicious. We had the bibimbop with meat, the bulgogi over rice and veggies, an order of steamed dumplings, and the veggie pancake. My son devoured the dumplings, so I think that speaks for itself. As tasty as the veggie pancake was, I'm looking forward to trying the seafood and veggie pancake. The bibimbop was a generous portion, and I recommend the addition of the beef. A spacious and comfortable Korean spot right in the heart of the Long Point area with all the other Korean restaurants. An open and carpeted dinning area up front with a small bar to sit at. Service is spot on and friendly for me. The menu is pretty large. With house specialties, a ton of different noodle options, rice bowls, etc. They give you complimentary kimichi when you sit down. This stuff is great and legitimately spicy (saying that, it is still not the spiciest thing they have). The bolgogi stir fry is awesome. This comes out incredibly hot temperature wise and has a ton of flavor. The noodles with the stir fry are perfect. They even have the Hite Black Beer, while Korea is not really known for "good" beer they do drink a ton of it, and this is one I can get behind (fyi, I can't really stand the regular Hite, but that is neither here nor there ha). There is also a lot of Soju, as expected. All in all a pretty legit Korean restaurant for my tastes. Definitely one I need to keep in my regular rotation when on this side of town. read more

It's kind of difficult to find delicious authentic Korean food around Houston and I moved here very recently. I ordered the seafood soft tofu soup and it was absolutely delicious. The kimchi they have here was so good I bought a container to go when I was leaving. Only thing I found to be lacking is that there are no side dishes except kimchi served here. Side dishes is what Korean food is all about so I was a little disappointed about that, but the kimchi was so good that I can almost look past it. Korean Noodle House has moved right down the street from their original location, and instead of operating out of an everyday residential house, they now having a full sized corner restaurant, in the same plaza as Korean House. The restaurant gives off a very spacious feel with its high ceilings, and the decorations are minimal but still appealing. I really like the indoor gateway with a tile roof (which leads to a private dining area for large groups). While other Korean restaurants give you a small dish of kimchi with your food, Korean Noodle House gives you an entire pot. But it makes me wonder, if you don't finish all of it, do they just pass it on to the next customer...? I am certainly not thrilled at the idea of someone else previously digging through my food... The gf enjoyed the Tteokbokki she ordered for appetizer, which had a perfect amount of spicy, and not too sweet. Her seafood tofu soup however, was not as flavorful as she expected. The biggest twist of the evening however, was the Galbi, which was my go-to option at almost every Korean restaurant. These short ribs are not "marinated", like they usually are at any standard Korean BBQ place. The meat is grilled as it is, maybe with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, then served with a side of dipping sauce that taste similar to the marinate. This might give the meat a stronger "grilled" taste, but the marinated flavor was really weak. Not to mention the meat was overcooked and a bit tough. read more

Whenever I enter an ethnic restaurant I look to see if it's filled with people from the particular culture. It's a great sign when it is! From our host, to our waiters, to everyone around us...Korean Noodle House was completely filled with Korean people! There was a language barrier between Korean and English in the middle of Texas - who would have thought!? When we walked in, our host kindly let us know that there was a 20 minute wait, not to be seated but to take our order. We were hungry so this tempted us to leave, but the place is beautiful and it seemed worth the wait. Looking back, I'm glad we had those 20 minutes to look over the menu, as it's extensive and while not hard to understand, it's still overwhelming. They bring out kimchi as a free starter (warning: it is SPICY)! We also ordered fried dumplings to start that were delicious and came with gorgeous yellow radish (I'd never seen pickled yellow radish before, they're bright and the perfect balance for all the spice). As an entree I ordered a Kimchi Bibimbap (a mixed rice dish, loaded with veggies, Korean chile flakes, and a sunny side up egg). It was way too spicy for my personal taste, but it was jam packed with flavor and I wished my mouth/stomach could handle spice better! Luckily, our friendly waiter saw my struggle and brought extra white rice so I could mix it in. My friend ordered a dumpling soup - such a huge portion! We definitely could have shared either dish. Korean Noodle House is more than just a culinary experience, it's a step into a whole other culture. It's fantastic from start to finish and I deeply wish I lived closer! read more

Kalguksu + kimchi are on point! Delicious and authentic taste that is bound to satisfy and warm you up. It especially kicks the spot on a cold day. The regular kalguksu is great, but I also enjoyed the spicy seafood kalguksu as well. The kimchi is the only banchan (side dish) offered, but it is all you need! It comes in a mini communal ceramic jar with tongs, so be sure to use the tongs to get it out. Their kimchi was perfectly ripe and marinated, probably the best I've had in awhile. I found the prices to be a bit higher than average ($13 for the spicy seafood noodles), which was one of my few qualms. The only other thing worth mentioning is that the service/food was a bit slow. It may have been because we came in during an off period (~2pm), but the delay isn't a big enough deterrent to keep me from eating here again! read more

YASSSSSSS!! Korean Noodle House is my ISH. They moved out of of their little house/restaurant and got a brand spanking new space. It's huge, clean and everything we thought it would be. They make their Kimchi in house and it's absolutely delicious. No lie. You might not even want to share it with the table. Extensive menu to choose from - soups, stir fry noodles, seafood pancakes, rice cakes, etc. My favorite - and I'm sure is everyone else's favorite - is the Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup. Been coming to this place before it even moved to its current location. To me they have the best kimchi in Houston. It's sweeter than most traditional kimchi you might find at other restaurants. It's absolutely delicious. They sell it to go if you're so inclined. I get the spicy buckwheat noodles and they are just like I got back in Korea. My wife got the bulgogi over rice and said it was five stars. We wish they also served ban chan with the meal but they only give the kimchi. Come and give this place a chance. I eat a lot of Korean food! By "a lot", I mean at least 3-4 times a week. I'm no official culture connoisseur, but I feel like I know good Korean food when I see it...and eat it. Korean Noodle House did not disappoint! My typical go-to spots are seemingly more culturally authentic, both in food and dining experience; however, Korean Noodle provides a more modern flare. My first inclination of the more modern Korean dining experience was being served kimchi in a large sharing bowl rather than a variety of side dishes to choose from. I was almost bummed that there weren't a multitude of snacks to eat from, but then I tried the kimchi. It was more than enough appetizer and wonderfully full of flavor! Just enough spice, tang, and crunch! I ordered the Potato Noodle Soup. This was a first for me. I was only nervous because I usually go for spice. This soup was hearty, flavorful, and dense. Even though it's the middle of summer in Houston now, I couldn't help but to think how delicious this soup will be in the winter! I was pleasantly surprised to see the large portion that was served. I think the portion size most definitely makes up for the price. I got my $11 worth of food and ate it all up too! Also, I'm convinced the noodles are handmade and this wholly impresses me. I still prefer more traditional and authentic Korean dining experiences, but I'll be back to try more of Korean Noodle House's menu!
