Kuy teav is crazy good. Can't believe how delicious the broth is. Definitely a home style feel tucked in a corner. I have had kuy teav at other fancier soup spots, but this is definitely way better than any other spots. They load the noodles up with plenty of vegetables which I greatly appreciated. The mee katang was good and exactly what I was looking for. My friend told me about this spot over a sesh so I decided after to satisfy my munchie craving . When I showed up I was a little confused at parking I guess u just find a spot and throw it in P. Inside it's very mom and pop ish few tables for you to dine clean and simple, good service straight to the point . I ordered the house fried rice it was bomb tasted fresh no hard rice or anything like that . I also ordered the beef kebab and it came with like a side of salad type stuff together it was the one! Tasted great and the meat was tender and juicy with the crisp from the salad paired well with a lil sriracha also . A sweet place to get comfort food. This local spot has been around for years. Even though it's new owners, it's still a great establishment with the same great taste and recipes. My favorite go-to is their Hainan chicken or beef loc lak. Ice coffee is 5/5, you just have to try it for yourself. Service is always quick and everything seems to always be cooked fresh. I was hesitant to write a review, in case the food was good. I went and first off customer service was horrible. I asked for rice and beef w/ broccoli and stir fry noodles with beef. She then repeated noodle soup so I said no soup, stir fry. She said she didn't understand, understandable but she tossed the menu at me saying just point. The total was almost $36. Which was iffy to me but whatever. Fine okay, when she hands me my order I asked if there was soy sauce, she never once looked up at me and said in there. I asked for chopsticks ( seeing as how there's two people and two plates) she tossed one on the counter still not looking up and I asked for another one. She then tossed them on the counter without saying anything or looking up. When I got home there was a chicken soup on top of my two plates, so she charged me something I didn't want. The noodles WERE HORRENDOUS. I had to pull them apart by hand, they were sticky and all stuck together (picture provided after I tried pulling them apart myself) there was only one soy sauce and the beef was super chewy and hard to break down. I previously reviewed this place as a one star. The reasons being that the staff was extremely biased towards Cambodian-speaking people, and didn't pay attention to everyone else. More specifically, they would not check up on you, hurried you to take your order, and failed to acknowledge that you've been waiting at their counter to pay for your meal. I've been there about 4 times since the last time, twice with my sister (Cambodian-American who doesn't speak much Khmer), and twice by myself. Let me tell you how it went. It went surprisingly well! The waiter the first two times with my sister gave us water and a jug to refill our drinks as needed. This is an amazing idea for the workers so they don't have to pay attention to us all too much. They still loomed over us while we thought about what to eat, but we decided pretty fast. And after we got our dishes, everything looked extremely yummy! The waiter still didn't really ask us if everything was okay, but it's still an improvement from my previous times going. Now when I went by myself, I can tell you that it went pretty much the same as it was when I went with my sister! I was given a cup of water, and a water jug. I told them what I wanted, and they brought it out really fast, but the quality was amazing still. They, again, didn't check up to see how everything was--but at this point, I'll take what I can get. I didn't feel any disdain or discomfort going into the restaurant, and it actually felt good to eat there! Side note: they turned on the AC when it was hot, so that's a big bonus in my book! Overall, a small, but massive improvement to the staff's attitudes, and customer care made it so that place didn't feel as dreadful and hate-filled as before. Good work so far! (Steamed chicken with fried rice instead of white rice) my partner introduced me to this combo and it's a game changer! It also comes with a small side of bone marrow broth, cucumber, and a delicious garlic sauce. My partner orders the Beef Noodle Soup, it's packed with flavor! My gf is Cambodian and I've been here with her family and every time, I get good service and good food but when I come here by myself, I don't even get a simple hello or a polite greeting. The building is small and adjacent to lot parking with plenty of space. It's easy to miss if you don't know precisely where it is. The noodle soups are where you should gravitate towards. The large Beef Stew is what hit the spot for me on a cool Fall afternoon. It was warm, deep, and flavorful with just enough spice. You have plenty of spices and sauces on the table to add as much flavor variety as you please. The portions are immensely generous for the affordable prices. The broth is unlike any I've ever tasted. I have been here a few times and the food is usually decent. Two days ago, my husband and I decided to come back, because we didn't feel like driving further. We asked if the beef stew came with bread, she said they ran out of bread... ok. Hubby wanted to order a smoothie, she said they do not have any smoothie powder and only had Thai tea available. The smoothies aren't even made with frozen fruit, let alone fresh, but you dont even have the powder available?! I ordered the wonton noodle soup. He had the beef stew noodle soup. Everything tasted decent until, there was an annoying fly buzzing around which isn't really their fault. Next, I found a piece of plastic wrapper in my noodles. The tripe in my husband's beef stew soup has so much hair on it left, THEN!!!! He found a dead ladybug floating in his soup. I wanted to say something so bad, but I just left it alone. We paid and left. Now, we are Asian as well. We already know that these places do not have good service, but for crying out loud, if the service isn't decent; make sure items are available and that the food is food! No plastic, no hair, no ladybug! The lady serving us, looked and sounded like she couldn't wait to leave and yet we were the only customers at the time. Under new management. I had order the salt and pepper shrimp and lot cha. Salt and pepper shrimp- was eh. The shrimp wasn't crispy, and there was no seasoning on it. Called here to make an order, and I was hung up on. Called again because I assumed it was due to connection...I placed my order and there was dead silence so I asked "did you hear that?". She replied with a rude "yeah". Apparently that made the lady mad (I'm assuming) and she hung up again. I enjoyed the food the times I went but noticed the lady isn't too friendly (which wasn't always the end of the world). Regardless of its lack of cleanliness and sanitation, I'd still occasionally visit this place. Sadly today I had the worst experience, this lady refused to give me a menu and said they don't have any. She said everything is on the board, which I know it was a lie. So I just sat down and opened yelp to look for that one dish I like. She didn't even bothered asking if I wanted water. I did ask a few minutes after but nothing came. When the food arrived I saw her fingers touching the spoon, fork, and straw of my coke beverage. What made it more disgusting is that during my meal, I saw her picking her nose.
