Kim Sun Kitchen never disappoints! Every single dish is absolutely delicious -- I love everything on the menu. If you're looking for a spot where the food just hits every time, this is it. Highly recommend!

My friend told me about this spot over a sesh so I decided after to satisfy my munchie craving . When I showed up I was a little confused at parking I guess u just find a spot and throw it in P. Inside it's very mom and pop ish few tables for you to dine clean and simple, good service straight to the point . I ordered the house fried rice it was bomb tasted fresh no hard rice or anything like that . I also ordered the beef kebab and it came with like a side of salad type stuff together it was the one! Tasted great and the meat was tender and juicy with the crisp from the salad paired well with a lil sriracha also . I also ordered this noodle with veggies and beef that's where they won me over tasted very authentic and flavorful they also hooked it up with a bone broth soup I never tried before super bomb the taste threw me way off as it was unexpected delicious. Definitely coming back .

Solid noodle spot. I haven't had their rice dishes. I need 85 characters to post this review

A sweet place to get comfort food. This local spot has been around for years. Even though it's new owners, it's still a great establishment with the same great taste and recipes. My favorite go-to is their Hainan chicken or beef loc lak. Ice coffee is 5/5, you just have to try it for yourself. Service is always quick and everything seems to always be cooked fresh. The ambiance is very comforting and well-maintained.

Lately been ordering take out. Large portion to eat later. Call in and just go pick it up, in and out fast service within 15 mins.

I was hesitant to write a review, in case the food was good. I went and first off customer service was horrible. I asked for rice and beef w/ broccoli and stir fry noodles with beef. She then repeated noodle soup so I said no soup, stir fry. She said she didn't understand, understandable but she tossed the menu at me saying just point. The total was almost $36. Which was iffy to me but whatever. Fine okay, when she hands me my order I asked if there was soy sauce, she never once looked up at me and said in there. I asked for chopsticks ( seeing as how there's two people and two plates) she tossed one on the counter still not looking up and I asked for another one. She then tossed them on the counter without saying anything or looking up. When I got home there was a chicken soup on top of my two plates, so she charged me something I didn't want. The noodles WERE HORRENDOUS. I had to pull them apart by hand, they were sticky and all stuck together (picture provided after I tried pulling them apart myself) there was only one soy sauce and the beef was super chewy and hard to break down. This was a very horrible experience here.

Nothing but Cambodian goodness! Soup was great, noodles excellent, broth was clean, soothing, and tasty!

Picking up Mama Lê's favorite dish for her birthday seafood egg noodles. I got the Phnom Penh noodle soup, and chicken chop suey. Broth was perfect for this rainy weather in Cali this morning. The famous Noodle Shack was packed, so I went up the street to another small local favorite to try theirs for the first time, it did not disappoint! And for $8 a giant bowl?! That's a steal. Dad hasn't eaten much lately and hasn't enjoyed his food, so he has lost a lot of weight. He ate his whole bowl!

Went here because my son recommended it. Had the Beef Lok Lak delish! Came with a soup (don't know what kind) clear broth. Good as well.

This place is such a hole in the wall. It's a small restaurant with only 8 tables so it's best to come early in the morning. Especially on weekends. I always order the Hai Nam Chichen with Bai Cha. (Steamed chicken with fried rice instead of white rice) my partner introduced me to this combo and it's a game changer! It also comes with a small side of bone marrow broth, cucumber, and a delicious garlic sauce. My partner orders the Beef Noodle Soup, it's packed with flavor! Just make sure to add lime, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and the bean sprouts. For drinks, we order the Thai iced tea and Iced coffee. 10/10. Service is good. There's always one woman handling the front so if you come here please be patient, and kind!

This place is like a hidden gem. It's family owned n operated. The lady at the front was very nice and attentive, she greeted us and proceeded to help us. She asked us for here or to-go (we were doing a to-go order) she handed us clean menus. We ordered: -Lot cha with beef, 5/5 (yummy, i love lot) -Beef fried rice, 5/5 (a good amount of beef) -Chicken rice porridge, 3/5 (not pictured, it was more like rice soup n less like porridge) -Wonton soup w/noodles, 5/5 (DELICIOUS, wontons (plump) n a lot of cha sur pork, shrimp, veggies n mushroom FIRE!!) -Salt and Pepper shrimp, 5/5 (crispy, salty, peppery goodness) -Beef Lok Lak, 3/5 ( my friend was raving about this cuz that's always his order, but this time it was bland, it came with sauce but that was blandish also) We will definitely come back n try other dishes n the menu.

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / June 8, 2023

Since I have eaten there I have not seen any outdoor seating. Maybe during COVID-19 they may have had it but I never saw any tables outside.

Anyone knows if they change ownership?

Today we were approaching hangry, and knew that if we ordered a lunch special, we'd get delicious soup almost instantly, and we'd have leftovers for dinner! My partner was craving the kung pao tofu which blends with the brown rice beautifully, as does my order, the Chili Chicken, so garlicky and tender. We were also craving the spicy green beans, the perfect blend of crunchy and tender, spicy with the perfect touch of sweet! Be sure to consider some of our other favorites: the hand made chow mein (noodles alive and freshly made), the beef is simply crazy tender and lovely, ANY of the vegetables and tofu, and all their soups are to die for. They make their own ginger ale; but if you are wanting to boost your immunity or simply avoid the sugar syrup, I paid for a ginger ale but requested just the ginger juice (super hot and strong), and drank half and chased it with my diet coke and poured the rest in my soda for a ginger diet coke with lemon (yum). I wanted to find out if this spot was as good as I had remembered it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I was practically disappointed by two out of the three dishes. Two of them that should've been the best. I'll start out with the Mongolian beef. There was plenty of meat and onions and green onions, but there was no kick to it, not the greatest flavor either. It was also a little watery, which was a major letdown for me. I was really looking forward to enjoying it with the white rice that came with it. Next up was the chicken chow mein. I was expecting to have long noodles in its to go box but when I was eating it, it was small noodle cuts. That was a bit shocking for me. It also didn't have a lot of great flavor, and again I was let down. I did get vegetable fried rice, because who could actually screw that up. It was the best dish out of the three. Not a ton of flavor in it but enough for me to actually enjoy it. I tried using the leftover chow mein by putting it in a skillet and adding a few spices and oils. It improved it just a little bit, but not enough. Clearly, I can't go back here. It's like they say: buy cheap get cheap.

She did not let me down as we walked in and noticed how truly authentic it was going to look. Chinese decor on the walls and boxes of restaurant supples in the corners. Just as it should be. The bonus was that they had a TV showing the NBA Finals when we arrived. Pretty nice touch and in the back of the restaurant so as not to distract everyone. We went with a couple of our favorite dishes to run along and the Chicken Lo Mein was pretty good. Crispy pieces of chicken and soft noodles and veggies to go with it. We chose to get Mongolian Beef and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy celery, green onions and decent sized pieces of meat in a terrific sauce. I would love to try to replicate that. My wife wanted a shrimp dish so she ordered the honey walnut and it even looked good to me when they brought it. She loves egg rolls, so she got a four piece and said they were pretty good. My biggest wow of the visit was their vegetable fried rice. MY GOD. I dont know what they season or flavor it with, but every fork full of rice that i ate, it was this sense of flavor that reminded me of butter or something else. I really loved the sensation i experienced from this particular dish. I am really curious on what it actually is. There's loads of amazing Thai places in Long Beach but you tend to go you the ones you like. I been to a good amount where they're highly rated but something about them isn't what I'm looking for. Some tends to be very Americanize, others are just whatever but people love them. I like what I like and this place is one of them. Like mentioned, whenever I'm in Long Beach a visit here is always a must. The service is amazing as all the staffs are very friendly and welcoming. The place isn't that big but a fairly decent amount of seating on both side. They do have a table out front but it's only one. Menu has pretty much a good selection of Thai dishes. I like what I like and tend to go for the same items as they are one of the place that makes it the way I prefer. And why is it some Thai places don't offer their classic dish, the boat noodles. I've been to a few and they don't offer it while some places, it's not that good. Here, it's alway consistent and very flavorful. That a must for me and alway ordered. We also love the papaya salad which you can have Thai style or Laos style. Depending on what your preference is. Their larb is great as well. Very flavorful and tasty. Of course our main items we tend to get here, the boat noodles which I love as it's flavorful, broth is perfect and all the extras added. Also all their curries are excellent. Lately we've been getting their massaman curries which the flavors is really nice. Whatever protein you like. The curries do come with a side of rice but an extra order is alway needed.
