    Exceptional staff and food!

Exception staff and food! Love the 50s diner vibe! The onion rings are amazing! We will be back for sure!

Think of a retro 50's diner with good quality burgers and sandwiches and excellent service and atmosphere. 1/3 pound juicy burgers, hand dipped onion rings and freshly cut fries. Great milkshake as well. First time here but it won't be our last. Next time you're in Waco make sure you get away from the tourist dining options and try Kim's. You won't me disappointed.

Family stopped for a quick lunch. Found a great place.

Great, fun atmosphere. Friendly and good service. Ridiculously good burgers. Unexpectedly good prices.

Double Meat Cheeseburger add on bacon and jalapeños super big and really good pricing on them ! Must try

Love the service super friendly, ambience gives old school dinner and love that, food overall really good and would mostly definitely come back!

Stopped in for lunch while traveling through Waco. A classic "greasy spoon"! Grilled cheese and cheeseburger were great. Battered onion rings were to perfection (and not greasy.). Cost was reasonable. Our waitress (Meghan) was very personable. Decor was classic red and white 50's and reminiscent of an old five and dime luncheonette. Even the odd effigy of Elvis in a black jump suit at the front door was a plus. Highly recommend.

My family and I took a trip to Texas recently and did a day trip to Waco. We were specifically looking for a diner-type dinner experience. Kim's came up on my search for local diners so we decided to try it out. As we pulled into the parking lot the big "Kims" sign had all the looks of a traditional diner! Walking into the restaurant, the red and white checkered floors and old-school tables and chair. We were excited! We were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived, and the staff here was great. Everyone was so friendly and really made us feel welcome. The food is what you would expect of a diner. Quick, mostly deep friend menu. All of our food was served hot, fresh and very tasty. They had "Steak Fingers", which I had never heard of before. Essentially they where just like Chicken fingers/tenders....but steak instead of chicken. Very tasty. I also had the country-fried steak, which was also very good. You have the choice of brown or white gravy....go white gravy...it's very good. This place is reasonably priced as well. Our family of 6 with drinks and 2 appetizers and 6 meals was just under $100. Lastly, my son got sick halfway through our dinner and made a mess all over the place (no fault to the food). The staff was so caring and kind. The quickly helped to clean up the mess and never made us feel bad for the mess. Only thing I wish this place had was steak fries. I didn't like the type of fries they served and when I think of a "diner" I think steak fries...but that was just a personal perspective. We loved Kim's overall and hope we get to visit Waco again sometime so that we can come here again.

I've been wanting to try this place forever so today I finally stopped in to give it a try...it's like walking in to Arnold's diner from Happy Days...tasty burgers, homestyle hand-cut fries, very reasonable prices, friendly and stellar customer service! #KimSeonHo #greatfood #coolretrovibes #stellarservice #affordableprices #servicewithasmile

What a fun diner! 50s/60s style dinner with red & white checkered floors. Simple classic diner menu serving Dublin sodas as well. Classic hamburger, shake, & fries are the staple. I really enjoyed the tater tots which our waitress recommended, along with the cheeseburger.

    Dining area.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and directed to choose a table of our preference. The waitress quickly came over and grabbed our drink order while we looked at the menu. We placed our order and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. She also informed us they work as a team so we can stop anyone when/if we need something. We started with the "Burning Bush" appetizer (crispy Brussel sprouts w/ lemon garlic aioli). YUM! They had just the right bite to them, and the glaze on them paired with the aioli was delicious! For our entrees we had the Golden Calf Burger w/ sweet potato fries and sriracha aioli and The Weight of Glory Sandwich w/ broccoli slaw. They were both incredibly flavorful and fresh! You can tell they locally source their ingredients and prepare them onsite. The portions are also plentiful, and we left with a takeout box. To round off lunch we tried the special mousse on the specials board (coffee flavored cheesecake mousse). It was so delightful we dug in before I could snap a pic. Just enough coffee flavor paired with chocolate sauce (not hersheys ). The big windows allow for a lot of natural light and lends to a welcoming and warm environment. We will for sure be back and bring others!

I especially enjoyed how the herbed goat cheese mixed with the lemon aioli (aioli is garlic mayo so the garlic is redundant in the menu) and beef patty. That combo was deadly to me, oof Some nice cold coleslaw to compliment the hot burger was a nice mix. I still haven't forgotten how heavy their tomato soup is! So packed with flavor omg. Friendly + quick staff as always and gorgeous wooden seating.

But y'all... we got catfished Every burger that came out was insanely salty. Like... did the ocean apply for a job in the kitchen?? The patties were dry, flat, and looked like someone stepped on them before sending them out. ZERO love went into these burgers--none. Not even a sprinkle. Now I will say, the staff was super sweet--shoutout to the girl taking a shot with a customer at the bar, she was living her best life and honestly, I respect it But as for the food... yeah, probably won't be back. Unless every other restaurant in Waco shuts down--and even then, I might just make myself a PB&J first.

Theyre genuinely nice and like what they serve. They have a house sauce, Hungarian sweet paprika I suspect is the smokey sweet ingredient with maybe lemon juice or ACV with garlic and onion, in mayo. But thats just a guess and I also liked the ghost pepper sauce. Its on the light end of heat but has a signature burn unique to the Naga Jaluka. Battered fries and basic burger with simple toppings and mustard as it should be on a burger. The person I ate with had tots and grilled cheese. Tots and fries perfect, no old oil taste, and there was nothing left of the grilled cheese, so let that speak for itself. My only suggestion would be add some horse reddish, sweet relish, or dill relish with a touch of ketchup in the house sauce and make a proper house made thousand island instead of mayo for it. As someone whose made many patty melts, it just isnt the same with mayo vs thousand island. Also a dash of Worcester. Let me know how it works. I'll drop by next time Im on the way to MD Anderson. Cheers
