    Chicken!

Been here quite a few times when visiting family. Food is really good, service folks are very nice however service can be slow at times. Worse problems in life, but something to be mindful of. This review includes the Banchan, Be Bim Bap, Soft Tofu Soup and bbq chicken. Yum!

Delicious. Perfectly balanced, high quality food. Unexpected surprise on the Peninsula. I'll be making the drive up to enjoy more dishes next

It was good. The Bulgogi was good. Salad and cucumber salad were also good. It was good for a lunch special

    Stone bowl bibimbap

Staff were friendly and patient. We ordered the stone bowl bibimbap (crispy rice was so good!) and the dinner course for 2. The staff came by and helped grill the meat for us which was nice but a different experience to what I was used to which is grilling it myself. The food was delicious!

Had a great diner here. Service was wonderful. Luckily we were able to get seated quickly on Valentine's Day. This is a nice restaurant next to Bristol farms. Ambiance is good, it's family friendly. Good menu options. Quality of the food was great.

Great Korean BBQ option in the South Bay. The meat and veggie selections were excellent. They also offer a variety of traditional Korean beers and other beverages. Highly recommended!

Having kbbq in PV is insane. Never did I ever imagine this happening, all the kbbq and anything asian would usually be in Torrance or Gardena. Anyway, that's not to say this isn't a welcome addition. Contrary to that, Kim's BBQ is a huge welcome to PV. It's not AYCE and it's pricier but it works. They'll cook the meat for you and yadda yadda. The one quip I do have is that the standard stew and steamed eggs are add-on options instead of being included with the combos. Now they serve non-Kbbq food as well and also have lunch specials if you want that instead. We'll have to try that next time, but everything overall was pretty decent for what you can get in Palos Verdes. The restaurant is a little small but it can get real busy especially on weekends. But for your convenience: Kim's BBQ.

Place was hopping. I grew up on the hill and have seen so many restaurants come and go. We love Korean BBQ and weren't looking forward to drive down the hill and wait an hour + at that G*** for all you can eat. This place meat is quality! The appetizers were good. They have a system where they cook for you instead of you DIY. The boss seemed to be watching and he jumped in and help change out or grill as well as turn our meat. I will be back next time I am in town. Maybe a bit pricey but worth it!

    Combo for 2

The good: I got the combination platter of bbq meats for 2-3 people that was $88 and included bulgogi, jowl, pork belly and brisket. It also came with 3 pieces of mushroom, 1 asparagus and a slice of white onion. They have a la carte options too as well as speciality dishes that aren't bbq (ex: bibimbap). I thought the gold metal dishes were pretty and unusual (usually Korean restaurants have the silver). The interior is modern and sleek with a really cool wood wall with built in lights. We got a side of rice that was very moist and yummy. The meat quality was nice and the presentation was excellent. They cook the meat for you in front of you on your individual grill. I came on a Monday and we were seated right away. We also had grape soju that was enjoyable. The bad: I wish the front door were open for ventilation because the fumes inside made me cough. It was interesting how you only got one asparagus spear. The food took longer than expected to come out. The food is all raw so I was surprised that it took so long. We finished the combo with the 2 of us but I think we would've been hungry if there were 3 people. I've had combos for 2-3 at other Korean bbq places before that offered a larger quantity. The interesting: We weren't offered dipping sauces but we got some after asking (chili, fermented dip, soy sauce vinegar type dip and salt).

    Bone in short rib soup
    Lanai I.

We've been coming bi-weekly for lunch and their food and service is excellent. Fresh and flavorful! The side assortments change and it's been wonderful trying freshly made new sides every few weeks! The short rib soup is bone in so it is full of flavor and a lot of meat! Value is great for the quality of meats, sides and the quantity you get. The wife and husband team are so very friendly and we hope you come and support this lovely local gem!

No need to worry about parking either, as there is a large (free) parking garage adjacent to the PV promenade it is located in. Located on the second level of the promenade, we came for a graduation celebration and were blown away by the food. Got the: 1. Pao de queijo: 10/10 addictive baked 3 cheese Brazilian popovers served with lime aioli sauce (which it didn't need, because it got us hooked the way Cheeze its gets us - once you start, you can't stop!) 2. Fried Calamari: 7.5/10, also served with lime aioli sauce and house made marinara sauce. Good but not spectacular and not something I would repeatedly pay $18 for. The only dish we would not get again. 3. Modena Salad: 9/10, what a delicious salad with butter lettuce, candied walnuts, crumbled goat cheese, shallots, Italian parsley, and balsamic vinaigrette. My only complaint is that the lettuce was not bite sized, but for $17 this was a scrumptious salad 4. seafood pan roast: 12.5/10, TO DIE FOR! snow crab, shrimp, and it's sweeter larger cousin, prawns, in jasmine rice with a delicious house garlic focaccia. $30 but totally worth every penny and every inch of stomach real estate. 5. Crème brûlée: 8/10, it was good but compared to the seafood pan roast, it was nothing spectacular (however, the seafood pan roast is a really high bar) TLDR: delicious food in a date worthy and business meal worthy restaurant. Be sure to order the seafood pan roast to show off what a foodie you are

Our usual not-so-usual go-to for Chinese in the South Bay had been Seashore at Calle Mayor and PCH but I remembered the food being somewhat bland on the last visit several months back. We have also enjoyed Lunasia (for Dim Sum) and Ruiji farther east on PCH but it has been a long time (at least for Ruiji) and the reviews and pictures for Lotus looked really good. I also liked the All-Day Happy Hour! $3 house wines, beer and hot sake as well as the complimentary (and delicious) garlic noodles with $50 purchase ($11.95 value). We ordered the Crispy Crabmeat Cream Cheese Wontons ($10), Spicy Orange Crispy Chicken ($21.95), Kung Pao Chicken ($21.95), Sweet and Sour Pork ($20.95), Beef with Broccoli ($20.95), Mongolian Beef ($21.95) and Crispy Honey Shrimp ($25.95). Yeah, the prices, I know, but again the All-Day Happy Hour and the free noods! The food was a hit...everything was great, fresh ingredients, packed with flavor. The Crispy Chicken wasn't spicy so don't worry if that's not your jam...the Mongolian Beef was probably my favorite and the crispy honey shrimp was lightly fried "to perfection". I hate that phrase but it is appropriate here, truly. Service was excellent. The food came out very quickly and our server was fantastic. It was my 87 year old Mom's birthday and they brought out a cheesecake and candle for her too. We did have tons of left-overs so it will go a longer way which helps with the cost. HIGHLY RECOMMEND; they've definitely earned the top Chinese spot for me.

The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. The restaurant is in a food court with a few other options, and a decent amount of seating. It's also inside of a grocery store, so if you're with a picky group, everyone could theoretically order something different and eat together. I remember I was a little put off by the anime branding of the restaurant at first (it seemed a little childish to me) but Pasta Stories is really a solid wafu pasta place, and I love that they focus on different regional flavors of Japan. Parking for a Sunday evening was easy, we parked around the block and had reservations for 7:15pm. The name of our server is slipping my mind but the host and server all the way to the food runners were amazing! The atmosphere was so cute and romantic. Being part Vietnamese and completely vegetarian I was very excited to check this location out, I've not been to the El Segundo one either. Our server asked if we had any allergies, etc and I told her no allergies but I am a vegetarian and do not like mushrooms. She was so sweet to go through the whole menu with me and let me know what could be modified. As a first time customer I was thrilled that she did that. I can't recall the cocktails I ordered but it was a total of 3, one was a Pina coloada rendition they had, which was absolutely delicious! My company ordered the hot Saigon drink twice! For my 2nd round, I got the Kennedy, and the final I got the drink with the butterfly in it!! For food we ordered the vegan spring rolls and warm milk rolls for starters. I loved both but my favorite were the warm spring rolls!! It came with a butter honey that was super indulgent. The vegan spring rolls came with a peanut sauce (MUST) but I felt like they were a bit small. Great presentation though. For our entrees, I got the broken bowl with crispy tofu, no pickled daikon. I asked our server if the kitchen had fresh Thai chili peppers, if they did if I could have a handful chopped up into my bowl and she said they definitely do have thai chili's they could cut up for me. Little Sister having fresh Thai chili alone is like 10 stars to me and I hope they keep this option available for us spice lovers.
