I love tooting around the Tri-cities when visiting my friend. I suggested we get a mani-ped as we both haven't had one since pre-pandemic. I asked them to clean my cuticles up. They lady I had "faked" cleaned them. It bummed me out because of all things I go to the nail salon for, this is one I cannot do myself. She also, didn't pumice my feet well. I give two stars because the guy who did my nails was really nice but they were pretty wonky. It's hard to find a good mail place in the Tri cities area tho so I usually have ragged nails lol It seems like every time I do a walk in they give me the least experienced (I seriously doubt some of them even have a license) nail tech in the joint. Not worth the pain/$$ of having to file my nails for an hour after I get them done around here. I'd happily take suggestions! read more

Myself, my mother-in-law and my friend came here for a pedicure and unfortunately none of us really enjoyed our experience. It seemed like they were rushing to get us out. Typically in other places we've gotten pedicures before, they include a massage of the feet and legs as well as a sugar scrub. Unfortunately, this place does not do the sugar scrub on the legs nor do they do any kind of massage on your legs and feet. All they do is lightly rub for a few seconds and that is it. I still had very dry and calloused heals after too. read more

I got acrylic dip powder done on my natural nails here, and it turned out AMAZING! The girl was such a perfectionist and no joke checked about 10 times to make sure everything was perfect an even, and definitely knew what she was doing. I was worried because white is such an unforgiving color, but they're literally perfect and I couldn't ask for anything more. Plus after calling about 10 different salons in the area, I learned that this is by far the cheapest ($30 for dip). I will definitely be returning!! read more

They did a great job with my nails, I asked for a flower design and they delivered! Was so happy with how they turned out. I was also super pleased with the cleanliness of the place and appreciated the commitment to being really safe about covid. Everyone was wearing masks correctly and there was a plastic divider between me and the nail technician. Great place! read more

The gentleman that did my fill was way to rushed. He was answering phones, kept getting up trying to do multiple customers and I ended up with mold in my nail. The lady next to me was getting a fill and the lady doing her fill went to finish another customer making her wait almost 45 mins. These people need to either hire more people or stop being so greedy and tell customers when they come in that they either need to come back or wait. Stop rushing through customers and doing a half ass job. This is why I ended up with mold. I Won't be back. read more

My little sister and I went to get our nails done. The place is clean and I was very happy with what we got with only $12 for a manicure. I did a matte lavender and she showed a picture to which they almost exactly replicated after looking only briefly (impressive!) Cheaper than other nail salons in town and they have a punch card system (buy 10, get one free). My pedi came out better than my mani (both in terms of initial good-looks and in lasting power). The polish on my nails was somewhat sloppy and started chipping within mere hours. Since it's "I'm Not Really a Waitress" red, it's _really_ noticeable. The guy in the shop (maybe that would be Kim?) appears to have a foot fetish, which is kinda creepy. So, yeah, pedis are good and best deal I've run across yet in the Tricities, but you may end up scratching someone's itch if ya get one here. read more

Nice, clean place. Proper safety precautions were followed. I just wish they had been a bit more personable, half the time I had the impression that she was trying to get me out of the door as soon as she could. Told her one of my nails was crooked, she rolled her eyes and went to fix it with an attitude like she couldn't believe me or that she had better things to do. Given that it was good technical work, I am willing to give them one more chance. We are all worrying about the times that we live in and that can cause our behavior to not be at its best. read more

This the cleanest nail salon I've ever visited. Furthermore, I've been in salons all over the country, not just our humble cities. There isn't dust ANYWHERE! The stations are well used, but like everything else, clean and well maintained. I recently went to a nearby competitor, and was shocked at how different the two salons were. Be aware that if you plan on walking in, they may have a wait or even be booked that day. Having to make an appointment is a small price to pay for the great work, pleasant atmosphere and excellent health and sanitation practices! A+++ read more

Clean shop but very quiet?? I went to get a new set with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. I felt like everyone in the shop was eavesdropping while we were talking because it was so silent. They didn't even have background music playing! I got talked in to a pedicure too. Nothing special about it, didn't even sand my heels down. Not worth the $30. With my acrylics the girl did fine but I'm not in love with how wide of a tip she picked for my thumb nail (I used to do my own acrylics so maybe I'm being overly critical here). She didn't put a top coat on before doing the design either. I asked for a simple design on each of my ring fingers and silver glitter on the demarcation line of my tips. She seemed annoyed to do it and kind of half assed the glitter. The design on my left ring finger was kind of messed up. Overall, you get what you pay for. It was $45 for the pedicure and a full set so they gave me a slight discount for doing both. I tipped her $10 but probably will only use this shop for fills from now on. read more

I've been in the nail game for many years and I went for my birthday yesterday. Myself, my daughter and my mom all got a full set done. Both my daughter and I have crooked nails, they didn't add enough coats of polish before doing the matte top coat and the acrylic is buldgy on several nails. They didn't even mess with the cuticle area or add oil at the end so we walked out of there with very dry looking cuticles and fingers. The 2 ladies bounced back and forth between the 3 of us which is fine, but I feel like they were either VERY new or just didn't care much about the work they were doing. The one girl did keep checking several times if things were done "right" but they weren't. :( They didn't speak to us at ALL unless it was to ask how long, what shape or what color. Not very friendly. I won't be going back there needless to say. I wish my birthday experience there was a lot better. read more

Workers are super friendly and usually 2 people will switch on and off working on your nails but they always look the same and don't look like 2 different people did them so I love that! The gal who runs this spot is always on her game. She multi-tasks like no other! She is such a hard worker, all of the gals there are. They are usually busy so I recommend making an appt but they always do a great job and are quiet but friendly. They care about their clients getting a finished product they are happy with and if your not happy let them know and they will fix it. Been going here for fills, full sets, and pedis for about a year now. After shopping around and switching up my regular salon I was glad to find K's nails! read more

This is my usual place to go to! I've tried about every salon in the TC and this is the best by far. Their pedicures last for weeks and weeks and they always do an excellent job on my fingernails. They don't charge for designs and they're already one of the cheapest places i've found. The staff is so friendly and always remembers me. I get my eyebrows waxed here too and am always pleased with the results. I would (and do) recommend this place to anyone wanting good, quality service. read more

Very rude with horrible customer service. The young girl working there actually yelled across the room, "If you don't like it, don't come back!" I couldn't believe my own ears. That's the first time I've ever been yelled at by an employee and the first time not ONE person conceded that they were in the wrong or offered an apology when an error was made. The tag-teaming is probably what caused the error, but nevertheless, I didn't get what I asked for and i was still charged full price while this young woman was treating me as if I had done something wrong. I asked for red nails, #23, with gold tip. I rarely get my nails done and I was there with my mother and daughter for a holiday manicure. The young woman did my daughter's nails while the other woman and I discussed how I could add some gold to the red that I wanted. She suggested the gold tips and that was what I agreed to. She started on my nails and then they switched. The younger gal started to apply the tips, and because I don't get my nails done often, and then only in one color, it took me a few minutes to realize that tips first didn't seem right. I said, "Oh, so you do the tips first?" She angrily dropped my hand when I explained that I wanted #23 with the gold tip. She started slapping red on top of my nails and then said that I'd have to wait a half hour for her to take my nails off and angrily said this wasn't her fault. I told her I couldn't do that and she left. The other woman came back and wiped the red off, but I did still have the gold tips. I said it would be okay, trying to be nice and not cause a scene. My mother was upset and my daughter was angry. When I went to pay the bill, my daughter asked the owner if he was going to charge full price since I hadn't gotten what I wanted. He said something to the girl and said yes, full price and that's when the girl so rudely yelled at me across the shop. I was stunned and as I paid the owner, I told them I'd never been treated so rudely and i stated that even though this was a miscommunication, it had been badly handled and their customer service was terrible. Again, no one ever offered an apology for their error. An apology would have gone a long way. Instead this disrespectful woman was allowed to treat me as though I had done something wrong. I'll never set foot in there again. I only frequent businesses where people are polite and understand that customer service is what keeps them IN BUSINESS. Go there if you want to get treated like apiece of garbage. Oh and this was very unsettling to my 84 year old mother who wanted nothing more than to have fun with me and her granddaughter. Way to go, staff at Kim's nails; a WONDERFUL Christmas memory was made today. read more
