One of my favorite thai restaurants!! So sad it's all the way in Long Beach :-( wish there was one closer to me. TLDR: huge portions, affordable prices, tasty food, but ok service. The staff always seem annoyed and anxious to kick customers out near closing. Regardless, I'll still keep coming back as it's worth dealing with in exchange for everything else being good. When it comes to thai food, I usually order the basics like pad thai and pad see ew. Both dishes were rich in flavor, perfect savory vs sweet, and not too greasy. I have a bit of a sensitive stomach when it comes to greasy food but their food satisfied my palate! Also their thai iced tea is INSANE as it comes with a popsicle so you're basically getting double the drink for only $7-8!? What a steal!!
If you're looking for a solid Thai spot in Long Beach, this has become one of our family's feel good go to places. Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

Amazing! Staff were quick, welcoming and friendly. Ambiance was really nice, loved the tables and chair set up. Good amount of items on the menu. We walked in on a sunday night and was seated within minutes. Ordered the thai iced tea, panang curry and the crab fried rice. Everything was delicious! Would highly recommend, and we'll probably be back.
One of the various stops on my friend's bday food crawl last month. Definitely a delicious Thai food restaurant that bring tons of flavors. Kin Long Beach is located on the corner of E Broadway and Alamitos Ave, with the restaurant on the E Broadway side of the street. The lot is small and I don't know if there is any other parking options besides street parking (not my fav). Found a spot right out front luckily! The restaurant front it unassuming, with the plain yellow signage at the top. Don't let that fool you how beautiful and modern the inside is. Small to medium sized space but beautiful. What I can only describe as golden basket house pendant lights, dark wood beams and an open area design the space looks much bigger. It's separated by 2-seater tables on the right, 4-6 group tables on the left, a beautiful private10-person banquet room with more upscale cushioned seating and a TV, which then leads to an outside dining space, which is where we sat. The server was very kind and answered all our questions. I started with a Ruby Fizz for a drink, while my friend ordered the Thai Ice Tea. The Ruby Fizz is a gin based drink, but you could hardly tell it was in it which is exactly how I like my drinks. It was delicious! The Thai Ice Tea is definitely a show piece but every bit delicious. It comes with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melts into the drink. For food we ordered the Chicken Satay, Beef Pad See Ew, Avacado Curry, and Pad Thai. The Chicken Stay was nice a juicy and the peanut sauce went well with it. Pad See Ew was savory with nicely charred noodles, the Pad Thai was everyone's favorite and my friends said the best they've had so far, sweet and tangy, tender noodles, and we got it with beef. Now the Avacado curry was my favorite! Red curry spice, creaminess coming from coconut milk, and the perfectly sliced avacado adding more creaminess to it. Perfect for vegetarians and meat eaters alike...I did not miss the meat. Delicious Thai food and great for groups!
My bf brought me here for Valentine's and I had a wonderful experience. We were able to bring the fur baby along which was a plus! We couldn't find any parking besides a parking lot directly across the street which turned out to be for Roscoe's (oops). Don't make the same mistake we did and be sure to find proper parking somewhere amongst the lively intersections of Alamitos & 7th. The service was great here; the staff were kind and attentive throughout our meal. Our food also came out within a timely manner. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and is perfect for date night for outings with friends/fam. I was so happy with everything I had! I ordered the Colossal crab fried rice on the spiciest level and it was absolutely delicious! They also give a generous portion of crab unlike many other establishments that skimp on the premiums. I also ordered the chicken pad se ewe on the spiciest level and it was equally delicious to me. My bf had the beef pad se ewe and he enjoyed it as well. Their Thai tea was pretty good too! Overall, I'll definitely be back very soon and I highly recommend Kin! Support your local businesses!
Came here for dinner. Clean and nice decor inside. Ordered a pad thai and panang curry. The chicken in the pad thai was a little dry but the noodles were al dente, which is good. The pad thai was sweeter than we preferred. The panang curry was pretty good. There were many pieces of braised beef and artichoke. Went really well with the included white rice. The Thai tea with popsicle was good. We prefer it creamier or with more milk though. It tastes better when the popsicle melts into the beverage or in our case we broke the popsicle down into the tea. Water tasted like tap water. Affordable menu price. Excellent service. Free parking in parking lot. Close to Pike Outlet and Shoreline Village.
Kin Long Beach - Late Lunch Gem I stopped by Kin Long Beach for a late lunch around 1:00 PM and was able to catch their lunch special just before they closed at 2:30 PM. Honestly, the experience was so warm and welcoming--it felt like they gave me a little extra grace while they were transitioning into their dinner service at 5 PM, which I truly appreciated. Food: I started with the calamari (salt & pepper style), and it had this nice kick--almost like a mix of Sriracha and Tajín--with a dipping sauce and lime on the side. The batter did fall apart a bit when picking it up with chopsticks, but the flavor and crunch definitely made up for it. I also ordered a Thai tea that came with a large popsicle--such a cute and unique touch--and it kept my drink cold as it melted. For my entrée, I had the shrimp Pad Thai from the lunch special, and the presentation alone was beautiful. It came with a fresh spring vegetable roll and a side salad with cherry tomatoes and a creamy balsamic vinaigrette that I absolutely loved. My guest ordered the colossal crab fried rice, which was just as impressive. I also loved that they bring out their signature spice rack so you can customize your heat level. Service: The service was incredibly kind and attentive. The staff was super sweet and even allowed us to stay about 15 minutes past closing before they reset for dinner. That level of hospitality really stood out to me, and I made sure to leave respectfully. Ambience: The vibe is chic and modern, with a large screen by the bar showcasing Thailand's street food culture and authentic cooking scenes. It really adds to the experience and makes you feel connected to the roots of the cuisine. Overall: 10/10 for me! I would absolutely come back, especially to try their dinner menu. They also offer free parking, which is a plus--but spaces are tight, so I recommend coming early.
Was visiting with friends in SoCal and wanted to try this place because of the Thai ice popsicle but we didn't even get it LOL got the Thai tea tho! The service was solid; they would check on us frequently. However, the food flavors were lacking. It was surprisingly kind of bland. I wonder if it's because we got the crab meat pad Thai? The tom kha was fine as was the mango sticky rice. But the interior was very nice so at least it was a relaxing place to enjoy food on a hot day!
KIN in Long Beach seriously impresses us every single time! The Thai food here is some of the best we've had. We ordered the Thai fried rice with chicken and the coconut soup with chicken, both at medium spice, and wow, the spice level was no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, definitely go mild. Medium was much spicier than we expected! That said, the flavors were incredible. We also tried the baby back barbecue ribs, and they were so tender and delicious. They leaned a little on the salty side, but still totally worth it and packed with flavor. Parking can be a bit tight in the lot, but spots tend to open up quickly, and there's always street parking nearby if needed. Overall, such a great dinner experience, we'll definitely be back!
This was the first time we ate at this restaurant since we were in this area . The ambience was great and noise was not too loud. Service was not that great as I expected. We ordered papaya salad, Tom Kha , drunken noodle and a drink for my daughter. We loved the Tom kha very much the taste was excellent and delicious. Papaya salad was 6 , one thing was missing during our meal was that they forgot our last order. We mentioned to the waitress twice about the drunken noodles, but it finally came out after we were done with the meal,without the apology for delivered late. I almost cancelled that order. The tables next to us came late but got all their orders. That was sad that I had to mention over with the waitress. Well , that was it , I valued very much on the service but this was very sad and SUCKs Won't be back for sure.
Probably hands down the best Thai food I've had in my life so far - I guess I haven't had too much Thai food in the past and I've definitely never been to Thailand before but this is THE spot. The green papaya salad was so crisp and refreshing, but somehow savory at the same time?? It was just made really well. And the panang curry just had such a nice umami aftertaste to it. Pad thai was solid too. I didn't get to try their drinks this time but I sure will if I ever get to come here again, they got a full bar inside in its own separate area. The interior is quite modern and classy, which is quite a surprise for thai spots. It definitely fit the occasion seeing we were there for New Years. The waiters also checked in often enough. I really hope to try the colossal crab next time, it looked really good and I definitely will swing by if I get the chance to visit long beach again.

I've had this place bookmarked for months, and I finally made it to Long Beach to experience this restaurant. Upon entry, we observed a beautiful ambiance and contemporary decor. We were greeted and seated instantly with a party of 3. The servers were attentive and consistently checked on us throughout our visit. Ultimately, we ordered a variety of items. We started off with the crab Rangoon. They were so good we quickly ordered another round of them. I ordered a large Tom Kha soup with chicken and level 4 spicy. Delicious!! The others in my group never had it, but I let them taste mine and all three of us ordered an additional bowl of Tom Kha to go. For the main course, we had two shrimp pad Thai noodles, panang curry, a lump crab fried rice, and Thai iced tea. We are all huge fans of Thai food, and each one of us were thoroughly impressed and can't wait to return. read more

Early dinner and had to try their Money Bag to start off -- loved it!! We also had the garlic noodle shrimp, and honestly it was good, but I'd probably go for a different next time! And to pair it with Thai tea? Can never go wrong. read more
We came here for the first for dinner on a Saturday night and waited about 30 mins for a table. We got the fried calamari and shrimp with flat white noodle. Both were very delicious and flavorful . We also got chicken with yellow curry and the bbq beef plate. The curry chicken had very little chicken in it. The beef steak Did not taste like bbq at all. They didn't come out all at once. The dishes came out 10 mins apart. The portion size was small. It was pricey for what you get. Very very hard to find parking. You will need to park around the area and walk over to the restaurant. They do offer parking on site but the lot is very small. Cannot say much about the service because they did't really come to check on us during our meal. read more
This place was just ok. The service was good and the food was fresh. However the mango curry, pad Thai, and drunken noodles all tasted the same. All three dishes tasted like pad Thai. Maybe they made pad Thai then the drunken noodles and mango curry in the same wok? I was really looking forward to the basil flavor in the drunken noodles but again it tasted like they added pad Thai sauce/flavorings to it. Based on my sister's recommendation, we tried this thai restaurant in Long Beach. At noon, this place is already full of hungry patrons ready to devour the wonderful dishes of Thailand. Our party of three enjoyed family style dining from start to finish. All were tasting good but one stood out the best which was the coconut ice cream dessert. One note, parking is limited so plan to look for other alternatives. read more

Wow! Absolutely so good! I was stuffed. Service was great! Fast with food during the lunch hour! This place is pretty popular for everyone working DTLB. I had the pad Thai beef and my colleagues had the lunch specials which were really good! The Thai iced tea comes with a Thai iced tea popsicle. The mango sticky rice was my favorite!!! My first time at Kin Long Beach and I loved the food! I was a little disappointed with the service (had to wait a while for someone to take our order and ask for water later because no one brought us any), but they seemed like they were understaffed that night. The ambiance was nice, but the star of the show was the Avocado Curry, absolutely amazing! The Spicy Pad Thai dish (you can get it mild, medium, or spicy) was also very good, I would recommend it over their regular Pad Thai. The apps were just okay, and we didn't have room for dessert, but I Will be back to try their rice dishes and a hopefully dessert too, haha. Came by for lunch the other day and it was a decent, albeit super sweet experience. Kin Long Beach felt more like an Americanized Thai restaurant, aftering visiting Thailand numerous times. Parking was available on nearby residential streets. Staff were mostly Thai. Started off with the chicken satay and it was delicious. Despite using chicken breasts, the chicken was quite flavorful and most importantly, not dry. The panang curry was flavorful and the chunks of beef were tender. The crab pad thai was good, although it was way too sweet and felt like it was a ketchup pad thai... The BBQ beef looked good, but again, way too sweet. The mango sticky rice was excellent, sweet like a dessert and the mangoes were super ripe. ~$25/head after tax and gratuity for lunch with plenty of leftovers. read more
This restaurant is part of the Kei Concepts line and I really wanted to try it because I really enjoyed NEP cafe. This restaurant is Thai themed with all the popular thai foods like curry and pad thai. The interior is SOOO beautiful and is a great dinner spot for friends or a date. FOOD: Price is average ~$15 - $20 Garlic Noodle - $17.95 (3.8/5) This dish is pretty good, fresh garlic topped with some shrimp. I mean its good but i dont think i like audibly gasped when I consumed this. The noodles had a great garlic taste and had a great texture. The amount of noodles given was also perfect (but im kinda small and never finish my food). However the shrimp toppings (they gave like around 5-6) was NOT GOOD. THE SHRIMP WAS HARD, shell was hard to remove, and just overcooked! I could not finish the shrimp. I feel like they coulda made it easier to consume and made it match more with the noodles. It just kinda felt like its own separate thing. Thai Iced Tea - $5 (4.5/5) This is pretty good, it has a unique look as well, with the thai tea popsicle on top. Yummy! You should probably crush it up and mix it in though because its pure sweet iced thai tea and you dont wanna eat that alone. VIBES: I had a great time here and really appreiated how much effort they put into making the interiors of this restaurant pretty. The food is great but I would like to explore more options. This weekend my wife and I came out to LB to help her transition apartments so it was the perfect opportunity. We shared several dishes and all were really tasty. Will come again, food is amazing. Whole Fish, 5/5: Very generous and super filling shared between two girls. The flavor is so good! I appreciate the plenty of veggies and rice. I would def get this again. They sell different fish types and price by market value, so it'll depend but it was $30 for us. Avocado Salad with Grilled Chicken, 5/5: Super good and healthy tasting. I didn't even add the peanut sauce since the avocado and lime added all the flavor needed. I could make this at home, so I wouldn't get it again, but you won't regret giving it a try! You also get plenty of chicken for only an additional $3. Salt and Pepper Calamari, 5/5: The best calamari I've ever had. I was worried it'd be salty since it's very colorful, but nope. Again, they do flavor so well! I would def recommend. The crunchy bits also go so well with rice. I would definitely come back and try the typical Thai foods we would usually get like curry and pad Thai. Next time! Staff is great! Super attentive and nice. Didn't feel rushed eating. We were starving and had been walking the downtown area awhile before coming up on Kin Long Beach. Thai sounded good so we entered this calm, lovely dining room. Only a couple of tables were occupied at 2pm, and we were seated promptly. I was thrilled to find an eggplant basil dish on the lunch menu, and ordered it mild, with chicken ($13.95). Husband had the beef basil garlic sauce in a medium heat. Both dishes came with rice, salad and spring roll. The salad dressing was super tasty, a sesame soy lightly sweet. The sweet and sour sauce with the spring roll was kind of different than expected, but still good. I was really happy with the eggplant chicken basil dish. Mild was plenty spicy for me, and they seasoned the dish just right. It was all I could do not to burn my mouth on the scalding little eggplants. Love! Husband devoured his basil garlic beef dish and both spring rolls. We proclaimed a desire to come back for red curry, but somehow didn't get to dine here a second time on this trip. I love Thai food! Another great hit of all the Thai restaurants I've been to. Don't get me started on the Thai Tea... I loved it. It came with a popsicle too! The bok choy was good but felt heavy after a few bites since it's fried so I would say it really depends on personal tastes if that's what you like. Other than that, the fried rice was amazing. The size of the crab pieces was perfect.The curry was super flavorful and I would definitely order it again when I go back to visit. read more

came in on a sunday night for a friends birthday dinner with no wait! only half of the restaurant was full, service was very fast and ambiance was great! menu was clear to order from with a full alcohol bar. highly recommend! DRINKS : ordered a lychee & me cocktail, this drinks as refreshing as it tasted very sweet and vodka of choice. only was $7 so price was fair for a restaurant! also order a thai iced tea with popsicle which also came out to be $7 and was fair! drink tasted very flavorful and refreshing as it didn't taste too sweet from the creamer as the thai leaves itself took the flavor!! was amazing since the popsicle came with it! highly recommend these two drinks! FOOD : ordered an appetizer of the calamari. be aware that this came with chili flakes which may be spicy for those and to some children! was perfectly crispy and soft on the inside. perfect way to start of the meal! followed along with a pad thai (mild), tasted amazing! you can really taste the tumeric paste which made it amazing. read more
The exterior of this restaurant doesn't represent how lovely it is inside. I love the lighting. I love the tables. I love the gold flatware. It's a really nice restaurant. The service was awesome. Everyone was very kind and could readily answer questions about the food. I enjoyed everything that I ordered. I also enjoyed everything my son ordered. I love coming here, especially for the wonton soup. If it's on a chilly day or when I'm feeling sick this soups is like a warm hug. It would be my first time trying the baby bok choy which is very delicious but too greasy for my liking. The veggie dumplings are very delicious and I really like them. I definitely order again. The atmosphere is very beautiful and looks very high-end, but the pricing is very reasonable and the stuff is very sweet. read more

Parking lot is relatively small for the size of the restaurant but they do have street parking. Good size restaurant with bar seating, along with indoor and outdoor. Service is very kind and friendly. The pad see ew was delicious and well seasoned and cook. The yellow curry was good but more on the watery side which I prefer a little thicker. First time coming here and it did not disappoint! The place was very modern and clean. There were leather chairs and seating and hanging lights. We got there at dinner time on a weekday and we were seated immediately but tables do fill up fast! There's also a parking lot to the side of the restaurant. For appetizer, we got the salt and pepper calamari. This was honestly my favorite thing that I ate. It was so crispy. It had a hint of spice from the jalapeños and the sauce added a little bit of sweetness. For the entree, we had pad thai and the crab fried rice. Both were great. The pad Thai was tangy and sweet. And the fried rice was flavorful and fluffy. The presentation of the food was the cherry on top! read more

TikTok hyped up Kin Long Beach and the Yelp reviews made me feel confident about giving it a try, but the food honestly left me wanting more flavor. I left wishing I had gone to Bai Plu Thai on 7th Street instead. I ordered the drunken noodles with medium spice and they were surprisingly bland. There was no heat at all and the dish felt lackluster. I ended up adding condiments to give it any sort of kick. The spicy fried rice was very similar. I ordered it medium spice as well and it barely tasted spicy. It was just regular fried rice without anything memorable. The chow mein tasted super clean and fresh which I appreciated and it really did feel like the oil had just been changed. But despite the clean taste it still lacked flavor and richness. The star of the whole meal was the Thai tea. It came in a cute carafe with a Thai popsicle floating in it which was fun and it tasted great. Thai tea is pretty hard to mess up and they did it well. The restaurant itself is very cute and trendy and the vibes are nice which made me want to like the food even more. I would come back only for their lunch specials because the value is solid. You get a salad, egg roll, rice and a dish for a good price. Overall the dishes were missing the bold flavors that make Thai food exciting. I might return for the lunch specials because of how solid the deal is and I am curious about the mango curry. But aside from that I would not rush back. Met up with a friend for lunch on a Saturday at around 3pm. The inside of the restaurant is really cute and nicely decorated. It was a warm day outside so it was nice to be seated quickly and the place was nicely air conditioned. I'd heard wonders about their Thai iced tea so I ordered that first while looking at the menu and deciding what to order. Everything looked delicious but I decided to go with one of their signature dishes. The spicy seafood spaghetti although I opted for the chicken as my meat option. I also ordered a small serving of their Tom Kha soup (not pictured) it was larger than I expected so it was perfect for sharing with my friend who ordered the spicy chicken pad thai noodles. Great price, great food, and great service! Will definitely come back to try a different dish. read more
My work team and I had lunch here a couple weeks ago and we liked it a lot. This place has been on my radar but since I work in DT and for lunch, we usually want to go where we do not need to drive so this is a bit of a walk from our work so not until recently we finally made it out here by foot to check it out. The interior is beautiful and it takes you to another world, such a nice break from the world outside. Everyone was super nice and their drinks are very photogenic! For example, the Thai tea was def worth a Yelp or IG shot! Food wise, they also have lunch specials like Nareee and I think their portion might be slightly a bit more? Not sure. I didn't get their lunch special so I can't tell but my some of my coworkers did and the one who got the cashew chickens said it was too salty. But the one with the Pad Thai lunch special liked his. I got the drunken noodle with beef and it was yummy, def on the spicy side. If I get it again I would ask to skip the dried chilies, I would only want the fresh chillies. My coworker liked the garlic shrimp noodle, though she said it was on the salty side also. The other who got the spicy beef spaghetti also liked his. Overall I think their food is on the saltier side, but I still would want to come back to try other items on the menu. They have their own parking lot so next time we prob will drive there! ***Updates-the last two weeks I have been back here a total of 3 times and have tried a few more of their items. All were pretty good though the spicy beef salad, some days the beef was super tough/chewy. What stood out to us this time was the bill. I think the "tax" they have on the bill is 12.82%, not the regular 10% for Long Beach. Not sure what other fees are included in their tax but it'd be nicer if they were straight forward about it. My friends and I found this place while we were looking for Thai options and it was pretty good! We came on a Friday evening as a group of 4, and we were sat down quite quickly. I really like the interior, and all of the staff were so friendly and nice! We ended up ordering 5 things: Nutty Chicken, Beef BBQ, Drunken Noodle, Colossal Crab Fried Rice, and Panang Curry. All of our spice levels were at medium. Personally, I think if you have a good spice tolerance, you can definitely do more than medium. It wasn't spicy for us at all. I also think the portion sizing for all of the dishes could be a bit more. Wow! The food was delicious and the presentation was amazing! Loved the kitzy Thai iced tea with the popsicle added. Also they have a private parking lot which is important in Long Beach! Really enjoyed my luncheon special! Had chicken pad Thai and the salad and tangy dressing was tasty! read more
Kin Long Beach made my fortieth birthday lunch absolutely unforgettable. I came in with my wife and family, a party of ten, and the restaurant went above and beyond to make the evening special. They accommodated us in a private room that felt intimate and comfortable, and the service was attentive from start to finish. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, full of fresh flavors and beautifully presented. The highlight that originally drew me in was their Thai tea with a popsicle, and it did not disappoint, it was unique, refreshing, and just as amazing as I hoped. Thank you to the staff here for great service. Everyone was prompt and attentive to me the other night I was there for dinner. I sat at the bar and had a summer cocktail which was delicious. The bartender gave me a free shot. I ordered veggie rolls & yellow curry. It was one of the best meals I ever had in LB! Yellow curry was rich and savory with vegetables cooked to perfection. Does the place take reservations?
I believe not. A few weeks ago I was meeting some friends for dinner (Sunday night) and one of them called Kin Long but was told no reservations. The place can get busy at times. You might call ahead to see how busy they are.

Yes, they have a large patio. It has a roof and walls, but there are open windows. I sat there a weeks ago.
Do they have any mocktails?
yes! they have many. My favorite was the margarita on fire!
Do they have a happy hour menu?
Yes they do.... We always order the appetizers because they are to kill for
