I'm so happy this opened so close to my house! Definitely the best thai in town. Small shopping complex, but they did a great job decorating the inside and making it look nice. The woman working was so nice, great service. We got pad see ew chicken and pad thai tofu. Both were sauce and fantastic. The chicken was moist and tofu was cooked perfect. I haven't had a lot of Thai food so my exposure was mainly pad see ew or some other noodle dishes. This food was so yummy and I'm super excited to go back and try other things. Honestly hard to pick a favorite because everything was really really good. My top faves were the Shrimp Eggroll appetizer and the Yum Mama Seafood Salad but the Tom Kha was up there too. Service was great! Ambiance was great! Really cute little place. Can't wait to see what else they do with it. Note: We also got mango sticky rice but ate it before we could snap a pic. read more

This is a small family owned Thai restaurant in an unassuming strip mall in Livermore. Honestly, this is some of the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. Now mind you, I only had a very small sampling because I was by myself. I had the papaya salad and the street food soup called Leng Zaap, which is a spicy sour soup with tender pork short ribs. Absolutely delicious. The proprietor told me that they had to kind of make the recipe a little bit less sour because in Thailand they have it really sour and people here thought it was too much. I thought it was plenty sour and yet extremely tasty. I will definitely be back even though it's going to be an hour drive for me. Yes it's that good and the Service was very attentive. read more

Not long Romain boats as you would expect . Chicken Pad Thai was unique flavor and the highlight of the meal. Little pricey for "street" food. The food is an authentic Thai, what the Thai locals and Asian Asian would normally eat It's hard to find one after moving to East Bay. It's quite a distance from where we live. But would travel for Kin Phed! I don't order the generic American Thai food. What a delightful spot! A small charming space with the most delicious Thai food this side of Lemongrass. The helpings are generous but plated on lovely oval plates, giving us room to share our dishes. The food is as colorful as the decor. Came by after finished solo hiking at Mission Peak! Really nice ambience and environment, super clean. Service was extremely great! Food was really great as well! I ordered the Lychee Ice Tea (so refreshing), and ordered the Chicken Satays, Thai Papaya Salad (Extra Spicy), and Mango Sticky Rice. Kin Phed is a gem for authentic Thai food. We tried the Beef Pad See Ew, Basil Gra Pow Chicken and Seafood Green Curry. All dishes were packed with rich, balanced flavor and that perfect homemade feel. Thai food as authentic as it gets! I ordered pad Thai, boat noodles and pad grapow for takeaway and everything was delicious. The right noodles were used for pad Thai and the sauce was very flavorful, just like how you'd get it from a street vendor in Thailand. Boat noodles were also very good with tender meat, and authentically made with pork blood and not too sweet. I live in Santa Clara but will definitely make the drive again when I want good Thai food. My only gripe is that the portions are too small for the price. read more
