Kinaara has some of the best Indian food in town! And the owners and staff put their all into creating and serving it within a very chic atmosphere. Oftentimes, the owners will personally check with diners to make sure they're happy with the food, which is a very nice touch. I love their staples like chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani. But their newer creations, such as the mushroom curry, are always a welcome excuse to deviate from my go-tos. And I love that they're continually adding new dishes to the menu. Pro tip: If you're new to Indian food and don't know what to get, order the Thali (they have both veg and non-veg options), which is an assortment of many popular entrees!

Great food, everything came out piping hot. Went here for our anniversary dinner and glad we did the earlier reservation time as the restaurant did get louder as more people were seated. I got the mushroom curry which is my favorite curry I've ever had! The rice is super fluffy as well. Definitely recommend one basket of naan for each person-it's that good!

Every experience here has been nothing short of great. Whether I have dined in or stopped in for takeout, service and food has always been exemplary. The menu here is very much primed for American taste. The dishes are slightly unique more than your average Indian joint, yet they have your tried and true favorites (butter chicken, tikka masala, biriyani). They have a large menu that is sure to satisfy most taste buds. I have dined here with some friends who originate from India. They stated they did not feel it was as authentic as what they had hoped for the region is represents but still tasty. As tough critics to American Indian food- I find that to be decent ratings!

10/10 so good! My friend and I were walking into the restaurant and could smell how good it is from outside! Our server was so sweet and is an aficionado and was telling us about the region of the place of the wine and very informative. The food was phenomenal, dishes were so creamy and flavorful. Kinaara is absolutely worth every bit of the hype. Located in the Regency Shopping Center in Omaha, this Indian restaurant manages to feel both elevated and incredibly welcoming at the same time. They make it easy for any kind of diner -- you can book reservations online if you're coming with a larger group, or grab one of the many bar seats if you're dining solo. I had heard so many great things that I knew I'd be ordering multiple dishes, and I'm so glad I did. I started with the masala fries, which were absolutely delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. I then ordered a side of aloo gobi and the butter chicken for my main entrée -- and wow. Every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were bold, balanced, and truly next-level. You can tell so much care goes into every plate. What really sets Kinaara apart, though, is the atmosphere and service. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the head chef even walks around checking on guests, which says everything about the pride and passion behind this place. It's easy to see why people return again and again. If you're in Omaha and craving Indian food, Kinaara is a must. I'll absolutely be back.

I finally got around to trying Kinaara and enjoyed my experience! The ambiance was warm and welcoming - even the head chef came out to make sure we were enjoying our meal halfway through. The food was tasty and the mango lassis were perfect on a hot day. Admittedly, the service was a bit slow throughout our meal but still not outrageous. I would certainly recommend Kinaara for dining in or take out!

Kinaara continues to be one of my favorite go to spots for Indian food in Omaha, especially when I'm hungry for rich gravies, bold spices, and comforting classics. Everything we ordered felt thoughtfully prepared and generously portioned. Masala Fries A fun, indulgent starter. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, tossed with Indian spices and topped with sauces that gave them a savory, slightly tangy kick. Definitely not your average fries and it's perfect for sharing. Chili Chicken This dish brought the heat and the flavor. The chicken was crispy, coated in a sticky, spicy sauce with bell peppers and onions. It had that Indo Chinese balance of sweet, savory, and spicy, making it super addictive. Malai Kofta One of my favorites of the night. The koftas were soft and rich, sitting in a creamy, mildly sweet gravy that felt comforting without being heavy. The sauce was smooth, aromatic, and perfect with rice or naan. Butter Chicken A classic indian staple dish that was done right. The chicken was tender and well-marinated, and the tomato butter gravy was creamy, slightly sweet, and well balanced with spices. It's the kind of dish you keep going back to because it's just that comforting. It pair perfectly the crispy naan bread that we order on the side Beef Biryani Not the most classic indian dish with the beef ingredient but it was never the less. Fragrant, flavorful, and hearty. The rice was well-spiced and fluffy, with tender pieces of beef throughout. The fried onions, herbs, and spices added depth without overpowering the dish. A satisfying main that easily stands on its own and it's a very bold dish given the beef ingredient that it's not traditional used by indian restaurant Overall, Kinara delivers consistent quality, comforting flavors, and a menu that works whether you're craving classic curries or something with a bit more spice. A solid choice for both Indian food lovers and anyone new to the cuisine.

Over the space of 3-4 months, I was there at least once a month. The food and drinks were/are bomb delicious. I've ordered chicken korma and chicken tikka masala. My husband had the mushroom curry and the kabob trio and he was thoroughly impressed. Their drink specials are regularly rotated on the menu, which I why I don't have names listed with my pics. For anyone going for dinner, I highly recommend making a reservation. You'll have an easier time walking in for lunch.

My husband and I are doing the ABC challenge of Omaha restaurants we haven't visited yet, and we chose Kinaara for our K. And let me tell you, it was one of our favorite alphabet restaurants to-date! The decor of Kinaara was really fun and colorful, with a base of solid white to let the colors shine. There are accent walls that give the whole space life. They also have cute minimalist images of Indian cricket platyers (love!) Our server, Ayan, was so helpful and friendly - telling us all his favorite things so we could have some help in choosing what to order. Food-wise, I would say Kinaara is semi Indian "fusion" vs. being just fully Indian fare. We started with Masala Fries, as an example of one of these fusion style dishes. And those fries were excellent. Tangy, sweet, spicy, all at once - yum! The mulligatawny soup was out of this world. Rich and creamy, with the spices giving it a bit of a kick too. The little cup of the soup we had really packed a punch. We had to obviously grab an order of the garlic naan (what I judge a lot of places on, if they offer naan). It was so tasty and buttery, and extra awesome to dip into the sauce of your entree! Speaking of entrees, I chose the Butter Chicken (my go-to, because I'm a bit spice averse) - and it was SO GOOD. You can ask for your level of spice, if you want it a tiny spicier. I also asked for a little extra side of the sauce to dip my naan in and have with my rice too, which they happily obliged. My husband shared my Butter Chicken with me, but he also got an entree that I shared with him. He picked the Lamb Shank Biryani on our server's suggestion, and the meat just fell off the bone! It was served atop a bed of rice to eat with each bite which paired so well with the spiciness of the sauce. I think Kinaara is a once in a while treat, because it's definitely not inexpensive. The price you pay is shown in the quality of the food, so I am not complaining on that, just to be clear. So even with the higher-tier pricing - the delicious food, great service, and awesome ambiance make this a five star choice that I definitely recommend!

Kinaara made my birthday feel like a warm hug wrapped in garlic naan. My daughter had never tried Indian food before, so I decided my birthday lunch was the perfect excuse to fix that. We arrived shortly after opening and had our pick of the place. Naturally, we settled into one of the adorable and comfy booths. Cozy, with just the right amount of charm. Our server was lovely from the start. She brought us waters and my trusty Diet Coke, and was so kind and patient answering all of my daughter's questions (because ordering Indian food for the first time can feel like learning a new language). We started with the veggie samosas...because when in doubt, start with the crispy golden pockets of joy. They were perfection. The chutneys were next-level good. We were off to a strong start. My daughter went with the classic: mild butter chicken with garlic naan. This is the dish that gently takes your hand and walks you into the wonderful world of Indian cuisine. She took one bite and I swear I saw a lightbulb go off. She was in love. I ordered the chicken biryani at a medium-hot spice level, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Spicy, flavorful, and packed with enough food to feed me for the next two meals. Bonus points for the heat that makes you reach for your drink just enough without panicking. And just when I thought the day couldn't get better, it totally did! While my daughter snuck off to the restroom, she secretly told the staff it was my birthday. A few minutes later, our server appeared with a sticky date pudding (yes, it was as amazing as it sounds), complete with a candle and a card signed by the whole team. Honestly? It was the sweetest touch, and totally made my day. If it hadn't been a gazillion degrees outside, we would've enjoyed their cute patio. But that just gives us an excuse to come back when the weather cooperates. In short: delicious food, warm hospitality, and a special birthday memory. Kinaara didn't just win my daughter over--they won me over all over again. We'll definitely be back.

Adding to my previous review since I finally got to try the Wednesday special Thali, and it was worth the wait!!! Such an amazing blend of tastes and dishes. My tables favorites were the masala and the okra! My only suggestion would be ordering extra rice if you are sharing this (which you should--it's plenty for 2). Kinaara still stands as by far the most authentic Indian cuisine in Omaha imo!!

Kinaara is delicious but this most recent visit wasn't my favorite, unfortunately. For my drink, I ordered a Cosmo with Tito's. It was a little light, but tasted pretty good. We started with an order of the Masala fries with chicken. The flavors were out of this world but the sweet potato fries were a little mushy and there honestly wasn't much chicken. Next, we asked to order a side of naan but were informed that we were required to order a main course as well in order to get the naan. I found that to be very odd and that was the first time I was told that there. We ultimately ended up ordering butter chicken as well. That is a strange policy that they have now in regards to "sides" needing to accompany an entrée and rice. Especially because someone could easily have an app as their entrée. I hope they change that up.

With my husband and kids out of town I had a lot of free time for once. I had gone shopping at Anthropologie so decided to stop in Kinaara and have a late lunch. Since I was kid free, I sat at the bar. The restaurant is clean and bright. Good spot to meet some friends or go out on a date. The bartender gave me a menu right away and I ordered a cocktail. I don't remember the name but it was the 1st one of the menu. It was delicious and not too sweet. They had several cocktails on their menu and they all sounded delicious. For my food I ordered the chili chicken. It reminded me Chinese sweet and sour chicken. I also ordered the garlic Naan, side of aloo Gobi, and a side of tikka masala sauce. Everything was so good! I got a spice level of medium and it was perfect. I was only able to finish half so took the rest home and had it for lunch the next day. The service was quick and great. The chef even came out to check on me and ask how everything was. My parents have been here several times and they've said it is the best Indian in Omaha. It was my first time here and I will def be back and bring my family.

Well still have not made it for dinner yet. I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars. The food is a five for sure. Some items seem a bit over priced but they are in bougie regency mall. Now I had the saag paneer today and it was DELICIOUS!!! Such amazing flavor. So smooth, silky and creamy. Wish I had more now haha. Service could still be a bit better and more attentive. My water sat empty for a while. In fact I was done before it got refilled. Still gotta try dinner here. read more

Finally got around to trying this place after only ever hearing great things and glad we did! Everything was really, really great. Went there to celebrate with the fam. Amazing cocktails, food, desert, apps. Everything was really good. Liked the atmosphere. They have a kids menu too. My boys loved it! My seven year old said he wants to have his bday dinner there so we will be accommodating that request when that day arrives. We all had a great dinner and hang. The chef came out and asked how everything was which was nice. Our server was great and knowledgeable about the menu and had good recommendations. I recommend the lamp chop on the bone. I forget what the dish was as it was a special but it was really good. The desert menu made an appearance too. Got the sticky dare pudding - super good. Will definitely be returning! I just experienced a delightful AND delicious lunch! Dining alone, with a focus on getting a bit of work done over lunch, I entered Kinaara and was quickly seated at the bar (my choice). Bar dining here is comfortable, well lit, spacious, and delightful - especially with Christian behind the bar! He told me it was only his fourth day and that fact amazed me given his menu knowledge, rapport building and service skills. He's clearly well-trained and engaged in his role. On his recommendation, among several, I chose Butter Chicken and added a side of rice. This was a fabulous dish! A talented blend of Indian spice, tomato, and super-tender chunks of chicken. Note to self: Nice upscale Indian restaurant in Regency. The pakora was next level! Clearly came out freshly made. And the quantity was insanely generous for $8. Chickpea coating was also uniquely seasoned and delicious as well as the mint chutney that came with it (which I am usually not a fan, but it was a perfect compliment). Order pakora every time! The aloo gobi was just ok. Not my favorite take on the dish, and for "medium" spice level it was blazingly spicy! I'd give it 3 stars. But the pakora, service and atmosphere rounds this place up to a 5. Just try a different entree next time. read more

Kinaara is a top 10 Omaha favorite and I absolutely love it. The service is always great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Devin was our waiter last night and he went above and beyond to make it a great experience. The restaurant itself is very cozy, warm colors, and it smells wonderful right when you walk in. On Wednesdays and Thursdays they have a Thali special. It comes with three meat dishes, three vegetable dishes, rice, naan, flatbread, dessert, yogurt sauce and a chutney. It's perfect for sharing! We also ordered the Butter Chicken and extra Garlic Naan, so we had plenty to take home. The food is phenomenal and made with so much love. The owner and chef stops by tables to check in and that makes such an impression and impact. Keep up the great work! You're doing wonderful! read more

Wonderful restaurant with amazing food and ambience. Excellent for a date night or fun night out, but I also noticed the restaurant had a busy takeout business as well. Conveniently located on the south side of the Regency Mall, there is plenty of parking. I highly recommend a reservation, especially on a weekend. But if you have a wait, plenty of place to browse inside the mall. The menu is a great balance of familiar Indian dishes and some of the chef's specialties and family favorites. This past visit we enjoyed the Lasuni Gobi (cauliflower appetizer), Dal, Tikka Masala and of course Naan. Everything is delectable, you cannot go wrong! Servings are generous and are easy to share as they are kind of served family style. If you're unfamiliar with Indian food, the servers can help you through the menu and many items are available with different spice levels to accommodate all. Service is attentive and excellent, it's an awesome experience each time I've been. read more

Went to the Regency location for the first time on a qeekday evening and the place was packed. They have a big table (seats ~8+) which is really nice for a big group and is a bit isolated from other seating which was great given our group had 3 babies under 1. Everyone enjoyed the food, but we did have some service hiccups - water cups weren't filled too much/often, a soup order was forgotten and 2 drink (masala tea) orders we had to ask them about as we they likely forgot to put in the order (we got them shortly after asking). We did order a few different times so that could be part of the issue. The chef/owner stopped by our table to ask us avout our meal which I haven't seen much in the Omaha dining scene. The food here is amazing, perfectly spiced. The service was awesome, the wait staff was very kind and checked in with us frequently. They also have us some good recommendations from the menu. Most of us had curry dishes wish were delicious. My parents ordered some cocktails which they liked and I had the chai which was great. The interior of the restaurant is nice and not too crowded. We've eaten both indoors and outdoors. They have a nice patio but I would recommend waiting until the sun goes down so it's not in your eyes. Also, I would recommend having a reservation when dining here. We've done that each time and when we show up the restaurant is quite full and seems very popular. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be returning. read more

I met some co-workers here for lunch a couple months ago and it was a good experience. The host and waitress were super nice and we were sat immediately. We ordered some drinks and apps. Everything came out in a timely manner. After the rest of the group got there, we ordered our main lunch dishes and they too, came out in the right amount of time. All of the food was awesome and looked and tasted fresh. I am definitely coming back here in the future. read more

We stopped by for a weeknight dinner with a party of 10. We had made a reservation a few days before and were prompt seated right when we arrived. The head chef is from Kerala, which is where I am from in India! I was excited to see a few local dishes on the menu. We ordered the paneer, butter chicken, goat and chicken biriyani, cheese naan and Kerala paratha. It was all cooked so well and filled with flavor. Chef Ashish even came out to ask us if everything tasted good; I thought this was such a nice gesture and showed how invested he is in his craft and in the satisfaction of this customers. 10/10 will be back next time I am in Omaha! **Forgot to take pictures :( read more

I have visited now three times and especially enjoyed an eggplant special that was featured last week. I also love the shrimp korma and the chicken korma. When I ordered naan it seemed a little dry but the rice is delicious and prepared perfectly. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient. The ambiance is " ok" but nothing extraordinary. read more

First time trying kinaara since they moved to a new location and I was sadly disappointed to find the food quality had gone down hill significantly. First off, "old" kinaara was my favorite restaraunt in Omaha, I would recommend everyone to go there. If it wasn't for my past experience with kinaara I would be giving them a 2/5. Butter chicken is my favorite dish that they serve, the butter chicken that I use to get from them was life changing, the best Indian food I had ever had, period. This time I got tomato water butter chicken. It was so bland, I got it spiced medium and you would have thought it was spiced extra mild, no heat whatsoever. Overall no flavor, the chicken also tasted borderline raw but checking it in the sauce is near impossible. The Naan use to be pillowy soft, but still have really great structure, they would slap it with butter and herbs. This time I just got over cooked Naan, very dry, no butter. Also very thin, almost like a cracker and the Naan had no pull. I want to go back and try it again but $50 for 2 people is hard to justify with the food I got last time from them. Maybe eating it in house is a better experice but I ate it within 10 minutes of getting it so it really shouldn't be changing that much. read more

Tonight we tried Kinaara! I have to say off the bat the waitstaff blew me away. The team was polite, asked if we had any questions, and was extremely personable. They made it easy to make a reservation and recognized it was us and seated us right away! The chef even came out and said hello too! Our table started out with the Marsala fries which were a hit. We ordered the chicken and paneer options. My wife and i ordered the butter chicken and tandoori chicken for entrees with a side of naan bread. We appreciated all the flavors and the bread really was to die for. We couldn't leave without trying the mango lassi. It was so tempting to drink it all before dinner came. I am happy for this restaurant because they had plenty of costumers dine- in and take-out on a Wednesday which could be a more quiet day for restaurants. Try Kinaara if you haven't! read more

Came for a late lunch early dinner...and we were just in time for happy hour! We didn't order any cocktails but did enjoy happy hour prices on appetizers and drinks. We ordered the Wagyu and the Mama's fish! They were soo good! My husband liked the wagyu more, and for me: it would depend on the mood I'm in! I wanted salmon anyway, and so it was PERFECT! Fresh salmon for sure! The green mango curry was so delicate and delicious, (I had the mildest spice possible today cause I wasn't ready for spice lol). The wagyu was mild in spice but DELICIOUS!!!! Technically we ordered medium spice but for me (a weakling) it felt mild, and not in a bad way! It was FLAVORFUL! Which tbh is usually my struggle with heat (not getting to taste all the flavors). It's was just right on pitch! For the apps we had the Masala sweet potato waffle fries and the cheese filled naan! Soooooo good!!! The ambience is casual yet intimate and service was friendly and knowledgeable! Our server Kimberly was totally friendly despite my 47 questions! Definitely taking any family or friends here ! Went there last weekend, new location definitely is a huge upgrade from the previous spot, more roomy, definitely more classy as well and food still tastes wonderful!! Very busy, recommend making reservation way ahead. Got bar seating, you can Oder fill menu there. Service was average, servers are excellent. The drinks menu definitely lacks some good Indian cocktails, definitely recommend looking into that. Need new drink menu printed out, as in picture, not very clean, can start using QR codes. Had a few different food items and the special salmon preparation which is only on weekends and the food hit the mark, mouthwatering good, perfectly spiced, five stars to the chef! To say that Kinaara is an exquisite culinary experience is an understatement. Every time I've had the opportunity to wade in, I always walk away amazed at the creativity, innovation, and depth of dishes that come out. Today was no exception. I had the Pork Belly Ularthiyathu (center) with rice or Kerala parotta (I had both)... had to stop and savor all that was in the dish (and so I could have some for later). Very authentic and delicious Indian food! We had the chaat samosa, lamb curry, lamb korma, garlic naan, raitha, and tamarind chutney. All were so flavorful and on par with our favorite spots in CA, FL, and London. We will be back! My friends and I visited Kinaara and we absolutely loved our experience here! We made a reservation ahead of time for Saturday, which I recommend since they can get pretty busy on weekends. The interior of design the restaurant is very aesthetic, decorated with lots of plants and vibrant colors. The food was incredible. We shared a plate of masala fries with paneer for appetizer. We each got an entrée and also shared garlic naan and tandoori roti. I tried the chicken tikka masala which comes with rice. Everything was absolutely delicious! The masala fries with Paneer was my favorite! The service here was also excellent. The food came out very fast, and the server was extremely attentive and friendly, providing us with some good recommendations. We definitely plan to come back to Kinaara! read more

I was truthfully blown away by this Indian cuisine! The menu was small so I was a bit skeptical, but I'm so glad we were invited here for dinner on a Saturday night. They opened the location 2.5 weeks before, and the night was quite busy with every table full. It wasn't difficult to make reservations online. They overbooked but recovered quickly by scrounging up a table from the back. The apps we got were the chat samosa and the masala fries. Both amazing choices full of delicious spices and cooked well. For entree I got the pork cheek vindaloo, which was blasted with flavor and spice. The spice levels for dishes are mild, medium, hot, and very hot if my memory serves me right. You could order in between these levels, but some started at medium. My fish started at medium and was appropriately spicy, but this Viet girl can handle a lot of spice so beware! The pork was tender and perfectly cooked. Hubs got the fish pollichathu which was Atlantic salmon. He's from Alaska and is a salmon snob, but had rave reviews for this salmon. It was cooked to perfection wrapped in a banana leaf. May be the best salmon we've had served in any restaurant. That's saying a lot! The place was bustling and the owners stopped by our table to check in. The food took a while but may be due to how new it was and staff may be new as well. It was all well worth it though! LOVED EVERYTHING!!! I could eat this daily!! The food was delicious and the staff were amazing!! Very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with grace. We first ordered the chilli chicken for an appetizer and it was so fresh and flavorful!! We ate it in less then 5 min. Next we ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. AMAZING! We also ordered the special for the night. It was the Thali. What a fun dish!! I loved all of it! If your anything like me, I love being able to try multiple items!! Holy cow, where has this been all my life?! This was the best butter chicken I've ever tasted. My friend ordered rosemary naan and let me have a taste and THAT was incredible too! Service was great, we were seated outside when suddenly gusts of wind started blowing pollen everywhere so we relocated inside, they replaced our drinks for us which wasn't necessary but very appreciated. read more

We've been here twice and I can't wait to go back! The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The staff are all welcoming and helpful. The service is very slow here! Prices are decent and food is pretty good. Portion sizes match the price which was nice. We ordered the lamb and curry chicken. The lamb was excellent, but the server tried to blame the kitchen for the long wait. We were there for almost two hours. We should have left when we had the chance considering there was a hair embedded in one of the rice bowls and the service was subpar. The server acted like all was normal... This might be one of my new favorite spots! Loved the chicken tikka the most with the cheese naan, Raitha, and Kerala flat bread. The chicken vindaloo was also good and spice on point. A mango lassi is a nice option to cool down in between bites. read more

My wife got the mango masala which she really enjoyed and isn't always the biggest Indian food fan but she ate hers and ate the leftovers the next day as well. My aunt had chicken korma which she raved about as well. My mother tried the malai kofta she had only tried Indian food once many years ago and this experience confirmed she's not a fan and has a bad taste palette haha. I really enjoyed this dish as well and was happy to have the leftovers the next couple days. We ordered her some chicken tenders from the kids menu but those also had some seasonings more cumin I'd say and others that she didn't enjoy but our 14 month old really enjoyed. So if you have a very picky eater maybe go with one of the other kids options. The white creamy sauce that came with my biryani was also bursting with flavor and had a great cooling sensation. The restaurant was very clean, the tables were well arranged, and the Indian music playing in the background gave the place a nice cozy vibe. We started with the tandoori chicken and then ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, and two chais for the main meal. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, but it was different from the typical restaurant-style tandoori chicken. It tasted more homemade with regular spices, without the bright red color or smoky restaurant flavor. Still, it was really good. The best part of the meal was actually the sauce served with the chicken. It tasted like a spicy tomato-onion gravy, almost similar to butter chicken sauce, and honestly, I wish the butter chicken we took later had been cooked in that same sauce because it was delicious. The butter chicken was tasty overall - rich and creamy, though the garlic naan could have been better. The naan felt a little too dry and could have used more butter. The chai at the end was ok because it had a bit too much spice and tasted more milky than tea. The service was decent as well. The server was friendly, but while taking our order he wasn't writing anything down and had to ask us to repeat a few things, so that was a little awkward. The food arrived in about 10 minutes, which was pretty quick. One thing to note is that we had to place the chai order along with the food because the server mentioned it takes around 15 minutes or more to prepare. I did feel that the pricing was slightly higher compared to the quality and portion sizes. The tandoori chicken was around $17 ,the butter chicken was about $19 and the Naans $4 each and chais were around $4 each, so the total came close to $55 + w tax or more. Personally, I don't think the food completely matched the pricing and was mediocre. Overall, I had a decent experience and really appreciate that they were open on Memorial Day because they definitely satisfied my Indian food craving. I would definitely recommend trying the tandoori chicken appetizer, especially with the sauce they serve alongside it. I would give the restaurant a solid 3 out of 5 stars.

His response was that he didn't have time to talk--and again, he walked away without addressing anything I needed. I chose not to escalate the situation because we were with family and I didn't want to disrupt the evening for others. But I felt completely disrespected. The interaction felt dismissive and condescending, and as a woman, it came across as being talked down to in a way that was unacceptable. What's most disappointing is that this was my third visit. I had returned because the food is good. But after this experience, I won't be coming back. Spending nearly $100 on a meal only to be treated this way is not something I can justify, and I cannot support a business where customers are treated so poorly

The butter chicken sauce was very red and not what I was traditionally use to. It came with a salad and soup that I tried and tossed. The veg Pakoras were pretty bland as well, but saved by the mint chutney. The naan was just ok. Overall, maybe it would have been a different experience it eaten there, but it is a "no" for me.

Actually, we enjoyed our meal and service so much we had dinner there twice. First off, the restaurant is really well designed inside. It's a really contemporary space with a great vibe. The service is exceptional (for dinner) and they go out of their way to take care of their guests. Then comes the cocktails, which were also quite excellent. And they have an extensive (VERY extensive) wine list! Impressive. The food is also (mostly) excellent. We dine in fine restaurants all over the world from Chicago to Paris to Tokyo and London and the food here was top quality, prepared exceptionally, and really delicious--largely due to their wood fire oven. I hadn't seen an oven like this since Grant Achatz's Roister/Fire in Chicago. I was very impressed. We started with Wood Fired Oysters, which were delicious. Their house corn bread and honey butter were also quite good. I normally don't care for corn bread but this was a really nice accompaniment. My wife and I shared the ribeye and truffle cava mac and cheese. Both were very good. On our second dinner we had Omaha Farmer's Board, a very good charcuterie and meats appetizer. But the Ricotta Agnolotti was our only complaint to this truly exceptional restaurant. The pasta dish felt like it was trying too hard to be fancy. A parmesan foam on top was cold, brining a nice hot dish down. The overall look of the plated dish was "overfull diaper." Not appetizing. The creme brûlée was very good. Overall, highly recommend this place as a steakhouse with an incredible wood fired grill. This place should be busier than when we went, to be sure. It deserves attention and it deserves to be recognized as one of the top restaurants in Omaha.

So far I've been here twice, and each time has been sublime! The first time I ate in the restaraunt, and it took a bit of time for the food to be made, but when it arrived the wait was SO worth it! On my first visit, I got the masala fries and jackfruit biriyani. They were so good! The second time, I ordered online by calling in with my order. The staff there then gave me a wait time and told me when the food would be ready. I reccommend calling in an hour or so before you plan to eat so that you won't have to wait much. In this order, I got malai kofta, vegetable samosas, and naan. I will DEFINITELY be getting the malai kofta next time I go back!! It was incredible and I reccommend it to anyone reading this review. Overall, Kinaara is a stellar addition to the food here in Omaha, and I can't wait to go back. read more

Every single time we've ordered food here it has been nothing less than amazing. The last few times for carry out we've gotten butter chicken and saag paneer. When ordering you can specify a level of heat, and unlike some places, even with high heat the really delicious flavors come through. We've also ordered the chat samosa which in and of its self is a delicious meal. On a customer service note, every interaction we've had with the restaurant has been great. Also, they have been taking covid precautions which are evident in their curb side carry out service. Everything is sanitized and clean and we feel very safe ordering here!
