New to area we stopped in for pizza due to yelp reviews. Waited about a half hour for seating as they were busy. Finally sat down and ordered drinks. One root beer, one wine and two waters. The water glasses are no bigger than a breakfast juice glass. Finally flagged the waiter down for a refill while he was flying by. Funny how he was ticked off and rolled his eyes... If you like thin crust, this is the place for you. I went with three other people & we cleared 5 pies! The pizza is crispy and tasted great! The waitress was super friendly & gladly answered all of our questions & even helped us with some helpful suggestions. After seeing the one bite review of this place I had to give it a try. And I have to say WOW, solid bar pie. The pizza is thin with a nice crunch to it. We got a large pie which is more than enough for 2 people if you get a appetizer. We chose the Fra Diavolo sauce which is a spicer sauce (high recommend). I work in nearby Rockland County, and I've been looking for a nearby dinner spot for when I work late. Kinchley's pizza is quite amazing, and I do feel that it deserves a higher ranking than what it received via Barstool Pizza reviews. I faced a medium pie alone, maybe could have started another. Kinchley's is one of the best old school pizza parlors around. The food and service is always consistently excellent. The environment is very chill and you never feel rushed to finish your meal. The prices are also very reasonable. My personal favorite is the fra diavolo pizza with cherry peppers. The pizza is thin crust so you don't feel guilty indulging. We usually order a couple of pies because it will gets devoured quickly. During my last visit, I tried for the first time the meatball appetizer. It was one of the best meatballs I have had in my life. The 3 meatballs was served with ricotta cheese and touch of pesto sauce. I am looking forward to trying different items on the menu because Kinchley's has never disappointed! You must give Kinchley's a try because it is one of the best pizzerias in North Jersey. I want to love this place, but they make it so hard. I've lived in the area for over 20 years and continue to give it a shot for the awesome thin crust pizza, BUT the service, 95% of the time, is abysmal. Today, I'm waiting 30 minutes for my pizza-while 4 tables, seated after us-got theirs. When we alerted the waiter, he provided some timing explanation ( that history and experience in this establishment, tells us is nonesense) When we finally get the pizza, it was not made correctly (half sausage instead of the half mini-meatball we ordered). Kinchley's is one of those spots I had heard about but never had the chance to go. I rarely go that far north in NJ but luckily a friend brought it to a party I was at. There is a lot of hype here and I thought it lived up to it. I tried all sorts of pizza here from the pepperoni, meatball, vodka, and plain. First off the pizza is thin and there is almost no crust. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. It kind of reminds me of Federici's in that you can crush a whole pie in one sitting and not even know it. It is one of those pizza's I can eat anytime anywhere. Food was great but the service was extremely bad. I think the reason is that it's just way too busy and they have too many tables crammed in there. First of all, my first impression was already positive because of the outside of the building. When we walked inside, I just fell in love with the atmosphere. I really hate to give this place three stars because the pizza really is delicious, but that doesn't make up for the terrible attitude from the staff there. We invited friends to meet us there for dinner. They live farther away and have never been there so we were excited to treat them. When I called a few days prior to see if they take reservations I was happily surprised to find out they did. (In the past we have always walked in and waited.) They were able to accommodate a group of 6 adults and 1 high chair and I was thrilled. They even called the night before to confirm the reservation which was nice, however when we got there we were immediately greeted with an attitude. We arrived right on time for our 6pm reservation and found the friends we were meeting already seated at a booth. When I asked for the highchair I was told they aren't able to add one to the corner booth and if we wanted one we would have to wait because there were other 6pm reservations. Throughout our experience being seated, ordering, eating, and paying the staff attitude was so bad that the guests we invited jokingly asked what we did to have the staff so angry with us. My wife and I finally had the opportunity to take our son to Kinchley's. It was a busy Christmas week afternoon and the place was packed but the staff was very attentive and our server, Cindy, was an absolute delight. We shared a famous thin crust pizza and ordered some entrees. My wife enjoyed her fried clam platter while my son ordered a chicken dish. I enjoyed the open roast beef platter.
