I've been to different massage places but this was the most unusual experience. Most of the time the massage was dry rubbing or constant rubbing me. It was also pulsating massage instead of a nice subtle pressure. I've done deep tissue and swedish at multiple places so I thought this was odd. Additionally, when they massaged my neck, I felt like they were pressing down on my carotid artery. Overall, I felt like the person doing my massage wasn't trained well or it was overall very odd. I disliked the constant repetitive rubbing over my shoulders. There was no compression and it just felt like they were just rubbing to make me feel like this was deep. There was no variation in technique at all. I was really disappointed by my experience.

I found out the day we requested might not have an esthetician available, but Jenny and Tiffany texted us and really helped try to find a good time and day that would work. They figured out how to schedule both sets of services so they would work with just one esthetician and made it feel very smooth. There are robes available for you to change into along with a bench and bask for your belongings. I had a massage from Luis. Asked for a blend. Firm pressure on back and shoulders and medium to light everywhere else. He absolutely did just that. My hour session seems like it was a 90. He focused on areas I requested and often checked if pressure was okay. I originally request for a scalp treatment with my 60 which would make it a 90 minute session. However, it was somehow booked incorrectly. I didn't make a fuss of it. But Luis did provide a decent scalp massage during the 60. I added in the lemon grass and coconut oil. All of them simply do a light rub down and then immediately pin point my troubleshoots and get to work fixing them. I've had knots in my upper back, a pinched nerve in my glute, and a variety of aliments. They are able to figure out exactly the problem just by touch. It's amazing! And I don't have to deal with small talk when I'm there to try to get fixed up and am in a bad mood. But I always leave in a great mood! I also love how they have the tip suggestions posted based on time which makes it very easy to calculate especially since they are great at giving lots of good deals so it can be confusing calculating. One of my favorite things is that they accommodate last minute appointments. I find it very hard to schedule anything in advance. I consider this place an important need for my health, and am happy to be able to afford to come here and tip well without braking the bank. They have great prices and give deals if you purchase a package. Some parts are not the most fancy....but I'd much rather have massages that I can afford on a regular basis than go somewhere more pristine and only be able to go 1-2 times a year. I was surprised when I was assigned a male therapist while my boyfriend was assigned a female therapist. I did not realize this until after they started massaging us. During the massage, the therapist began massaging and touching my glute area without my consent, which made me extremely uncomfortable. It was difficult for me to speak up in the moment, but I eventually worked up the courage to ask whether we could switch therapists. When I raised my concerns, I did not feel that they were taken seriously. They laughed and said "ok" which made me feel dismissed. I left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable, and I also did not receive any apology for the distress the experience caused me. What was particularly confusing to me was that my boyfriend did not receive any glute massage during his session, so our experiences differed despite being there together. This experience was deeply upsetting for me and brought back memories of prior trauma. While I cannot speak to anyone else's intentions, I can speak to the impact the experience had on me. What should've been a celebration for a special occasion left me feeling distressed, violated, and shaken by what happened. This review reflects my honest recollection of the experience and the impact it had on me, and I stand by it. I am sharing it because customer comfort, boundaries, and therapist preferences matter. However, this evening, I had the worst experience here. First, they offer a stamp card where you get a free massage after 10 stamps or so. I left my stamp card at home tonight, so I asked if I could just get a new one. The manager said they don't give out stamp cards to returning customers, but only new customers. This didn't make sense because stamping an existing card would've been the same as stamping a new one, but oh well. That's fine. Then, when it comes to payment, their advertised price for a 60 minute massage is $75. I paid cash this evening, so no issues there, but my sister who came with me paid by card. She was charged $79 for using a credit card. We questioned them because my sister has always paid $78, including her last visit which was just a week ago. We were then told that they charge $4 extra for credit card, but only $3 if using a debit card. It's a $1 difference, but this practice is very shady. I am not even sure they are allowed to pass on credit card fees to customers. When it was time for the massage, the lights weren't dimmed and it was cold. My sister's massage table apparently had a heated blanket, but mine didn't. My masseuse didn't bother fixing the blanket over me and she also left in the middle of the massage for about 4 minutes. Also, the towel that was over my head while facing down fell off my hair at some point, but the masseuse eventually picked it up off the carpeted floor and used it to cover my eyes when I turned over and was facing up (just so gross). Upon checking-in, they also ask you to fill out a sheet where you can indicate what body parts you want them to focus on and/or avoid. I indicated not to touch my glutes and arms, but the masseuse did anyway. This isn't such a big deal, but why have your customers take the time to fill out this sheet every single time if the masseuse isn't going to accommodate the request anyway. After the massage, they have you rate their service on the same sheet you filled out upon checking-in. They also have your masseuse standing there by the door waiting for their tip. So awkward.
