Sandos neatly packages in clear containers
    Robert N.

Alrighty... let's start with the good The place is spacious, bright, and new. The "bánh mì", which literally mean bread, are packaged in clear plastic container, displaying a very appetizing sandwich. Ordering was a breeze as the menu laid out in simple easy to order format. This is a counter order type of service, and they were efficient. Now the bad, or let's just say not so excellent... Management will need to have the service staff clean up the tables where guests dine. Even though this is a counter service place, if they set out tables and chairs for patrons, then they should keep them tidy, with the floor properly swept. The restroom needs to be kept clean... as that really reflects on how well the restaurant is maintained. The soap dispenser was empty, which leads you to think how do the staff keep their hands clean? And as for the food, although it is nicely packaged, I find the baguette lacking in flavor. Comparing to other Viet sandwich shops nearby, the taste is below par, sad to say. As for the crispy pork, it has a nice crunch, but the flavor is also average. Overall, it's a decent sandwich shop, with average price, and average taste. No wow factor for me.

King Banh Mi definitely surprised us!! We tried their special banh mi and they were SO generous with the pâté - every bite was rich, flavorful, and packed with filling. The bread was toasted fresh so it stayed crispy on the outside while still soft inside~ The crispy pork banh mi was my favorite with the perfect crunch, while the ribeye steak banh mi was super savory and satisfying. I also loved how fresh all the veggies and herbs tasted, it really balanced everything out nicely. And of course, the sugarcane drink on the side made the combo even better. If you're in Garden Grove and craving a good banh mi spot, this one is definitely worth checking out! They are currently having B2G1 deals!

Just pulled up to King Banh Mi and it's a full-on flavor invasion Crispy pork? Crazy good. Ribeye? Tender AF. Special combination with Vietnamese ham, head cheese, pâté? Packed like it's got secrets $9 each BUT buy 2 get 1 free... so basically I'm eating like a king on a peasant budget Proof that happiness is just a crunchy baguette away.

Really nice staff! Even though it was a quick interaction I felt very welcomed! The space itself is quite large, however there are only about 4 tables so there is not much space to sit if you wanted to eat there. Love that they offer a buy 2 get 1 and that you can mix and match for this deal. With the promo the sandwiches are worth it but at their full price of $9 that is a bit steep compared to other shops. I ordered a crispy pork and a grilled pork. Both sandwiches were extremely light of vegetables which is something I really look forward to, additionally there were no pickled veg which is a flavor you come to expect with a banh mi. The crispy pork was my preferred between the 2, it had a generous amount of meat and a nice crisp although some of the skin was burnt- there was something missing, perhaps it was the pickled veg that it needed to make it a perfect sandwich. The grilled pork was just okay, also a decent amount of mean but there quite a bit of fat in the cuts which was off putting, I don't think I would get that one again. I am glad I tried this spot but with how many banh mi shops there are around I didn't experience anything that would particularly entice me to return.

I am a banh mi lover no exaggeration. In the landscape of competitive banh mi. This place decides to stand out not with flavor, but the eating experience and minor tweaks. For starter and I personally think this is genius. The construction goes as follows Bread, Meat, Pate, Mayo , pork floss, Green onion, Veggies, and Red sliced chillis. Arguable the best part of this sandwich is the pate and mayo. So instead of spreading it on the bread where the flavor is absorbed by the bread, they put it in the middle where you can really taste those flavors. In addition adding pork sung and green adds more dept of flavor. One caveat is that the parking is horrendous, very competitive, and it is in the heart of Little Saigon.

I gave 5 Stars for the Đặc Biệt - "House Special" it was pretty Bomb it's just what I was Hoping for! But I took off 2 Stars Because of the Heo Quay - "Crispy Pork" Sandwich Had like No crispy skin at all (look the cross section picture No Crispy skin at all) So the "Crispy pork" sandwich had No crispy pork?! I felt they must have taken all the skin off my crispy pork sandwich and put it into someone else's Banh mi? I was disappointed And No buy 2 get 1 Free?! When I saw posting on IG and people here got that promotion/Deal? I asked them and they said it was over? It'll be awhile if I come back. I shouldn't have wonder if my crispy pork sandwich is going to have crispy skin. I hope they do better for their other customers for now on.

Banh mi was delicious! My son(super picky dude) loved the heo quay(roasted pork) banh mi. The dac biet(cold cut) is also good. The meat/bread ratio is great. There was a line when I arrived but it moved quickly and the person taking orders was efficiently getting people in and out. I'd definitely come back again!

I really like their combo sandwich and the grilled pork sandwich -- both were very good. The sugarcane juice is fresh and super cheap for a 32oz cup. Staff is friendly, the store is clean and spacious, and I'll definitely be back

The service was fantastic very helpful and efficient. They even asked whether I was eating right away or later so they could put the veggies on the side, which I really appreciated. Ordering was easy and straightforward. I ordered the Bánh Mì Heo Quay and the bánh mì đặc biệt, and they gave me an extra bánh mì đặc biệt as part of a promotion. The bánh mì tasted good overall, but at $9 each, I feel the price is a bit high if it's not part of a buy two get one deal. I also bought a box of bao buns with salted egg yolk. Unfortunately, those weren't really to my taste, and I didn't enjoy their bao as much. On a positive note, there was plenty of parking available when I visited.

It's hard to drive by King Banh Mi and not notice the large sign that offers a buy 2 sandwich, get 1 free deal. I stopped in and ordered the crispy pork, ribeye and grilled pork sandwiches. Service took a little while, but they make the sandwich fresh and toast the bread as on the spot. The result, however, are some pretty good sandwiches. Perhaps what makes this spot stand out from the rest are the veggies they offer with their sandwiches. The veggies are all placed on the side given the sandwiches are toasted to order. The ribeye sandwich came with more western style veggies including tomato, lettuce, green onuons and cilantro. The other sandwiches hand your classic banh mi veggies, but also had dill, and Vietnamese rau ram that you can add if you'd like. If you're looking for a different take on the Vietnamese banh mi, this spot could be worth a try.

King Bánh Mì (formerly Vua Bánh Bao) I've been here many times and the bánh mì is always delicious. I usually order the roasted pork bánh mì or the special bánh mì. The roasted pork is crispy and juicy, and the meats are fresh and flavorful perfect for my taste. The shop is clean and spacious, and the staff are friendly. If you don't want to wait, I recommend calling ahead and ordering by phone before pickup. Parking is a bit small, but it's usually easy enough to find a spot. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 3/5

Manager, please read! Buy 2 get 1 free banh mi banner displayed right outside that got our attention. As I was taking my first few bites of the ribeye banh mi, I bit into something hard that ached a tooth. It was a piece of hard plastic, like a broken piece from a container or something. See attached photos. Hazardous in deed. Careless mistake? Sure but for the beef to have had to be cooked before being placed into the bread, it shouldn't have been possible. So it doesn't even matter if the banh mi was good or not, it wasn't enjoyable after the find. Please have your employees try their best to be careful with quality control.

    Caroline N.

Came for the buy 2 get one free and will be coming back! Thit nguoi/combination meat- 10/10 Classic option the sides were filled with pate and I love the ratio of meat and veggie Bo/ ribeye beef -10/10 the sauce that comes with it is so addicting and Vietnamese tasting and the tomato and chilis added to the veggies is perfect Pork belly/heo quay- 8/10 good but not as exciting at the other ones, kind of skimpy on the crispy pork but still is yummy Also packaging of it is so ideal. Veggies already separated and banh mi ready to be heated up if preferred (not needed for me). Durable plastic box that won't squish it if you're going somewhere. Save the box for other uses too if you want. This is perfect pickup for a later meal!

It's a pulled chicken sandwich that is absolutely delicious--honestly, it's the most unique "actual" sandwich you can get in the area. The Perfect Order: * The Build: You have to get it on Dutch Crunch bread with no tomato. * The Flavor: The Dutch Crunch is amazing, especially with the honey on it. The sandwich itself is almost like a chicken sloppy joe--it's bomb. * The Perks: I love that they still include those little caramel apple suckers with the order. It's a signature touch that I hope they never stop doing. * Rewards: Their point system is very favorable. I frequently get free drinks, chips, or discounts on my sandwiches. The Critiques: * Ingredients: Like a few other spots, this one makes me feel a bit "off" afterward. Since the meat is tossed in sauce and they add more to the bread, I suspect there might be some MSG involved. * Pricing: Things are getting expensive across the board, and I feel like most places--this one included--are overcharging by about $3. Five stars would only be achievable if the pricing was more reasonable. Final Thoughts: Despite the price and the "food coma" afterward, the #111 is too good to pass up. It's a solid four-star experience every time.

Their cuisine is a mix of Argentine and Italian. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking available. Seating options include the patio in front which has heat lamps, a small bar area, and tables in the main dining room. You can make a reservation either on their website or by calling them on the phone. Our server greeted us promptly and brought out a generous serving of warm, fresh bread which was delicious. We ordered a few beef empanadas ($4 each) and a side of chimichurri ($2.50). They came out hot and were very flavorful. We also ordered the Scampi al Vino Bianco appetizer. The five jumbo shrimp were large, and the white wine garlic sauce was good. There was no question about what I was having for my entrée, the Medallon de Lomo, a grilled 10 ounce filet mignon (only $43!). It may not look like 10 ounces in the picture, but it is a thick cut, and was grilled to a perfect medium rare plus as requested. The steak was flavorful on its own, but it comes with its own side of chimichurri sauce which I love on steak. The vegetables were good and seemed fresh, not frozen. This was definitely the best deal I've come across for a 10 ounce filet mignon and a side. One of my friends had the Parrillada Mixta ($68) which is a large serving of various meats including skirt steak, flap meat, short rib, Argentine sausage, blood sausage, and sweetbread. It's served on a big cast iron platter with a flame underneath to keep it hot. It's an entrée for two, but he ate most of it on his own, although we did give him a little help. He said he would pass on the sweetbread next time, and substitute one of the sausages for more meat (extra charge). It also came with a large serving of roasted potatoes. Another friend had the Paella Mixta ($32). It was a good size with a mix of clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp, vegetables, and rice. Our server Fred was very friendly and took great care of us. Their menu is large, I would definitely return to try other items or have another filet mignon. The only negative is that they close somewhat early at 8pm on Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday, so plan accordingly.

The interior of the restaurant is reminiscent of a wooden house/cabin. As for the food, the complimentary hot bread is very tasty, and we enjoyed the Ensalata Argentina also. We ordered the Parillada Mixta for two (comes with side choice of fries, roasted potatoes, salad, or sauteed vegetables and we chose vegetables), as well as the Risotto Don Juan de Marco. The parillada came with a substantial amount of meat kept warm on a grill, accompanied by a chimichurri. The short rib meat was a bit tough but still tasty. I felt like the risotto was good but not outstanding. We finished with a creme brulee for dessert and someone also ordered a coffee (cortadito). The meal was solid though came out to $150 after tax and tip.
