We all ordered the Rodizio and were very happy we did. The hot and cold buffet offered a large selection of salads, vegetables and proteins (including meats!) as well as sides for the main course. We knew enough not to fill up with the carbs to save room for the meats. We would have been happy with just the buffet! The Rodizio came out hot, fast and nonstop. They come out first with chicken and pork, wait for the good stuff! The Pincanha was my favorite, along with the filet mingon and other steaks. The short ribs were chewy (maybe just a bad cut) and the lamb was gamey according to a guest - otherwise excellent. Try the grilled pineapple - very good. We had 3 large bottles of wine turned into sangria to 'die for'. Highly recommended. One thing I did not like was the bill included an automatic 20% tip (fine that's what I usually tip) but added another line for a tip. Maybe it's what they all do now but I believe 20% is generous. How many people didn't realize and tipped 40% by accident! Also strangely, they don't have voicemail, so if you call on a Tuesday (when they are closed) no machine picks up so you think they are out of business. That's a simple fix. I highly recommend Flames Brazilian Steakhouse and although it sounds expensive, it's no more than what you would pay at any other good restaurant. Well done.

In a state that has an abundance of Chinese buffets, they all seem to be cut from the same cloth:…read morebasic, no-frills, & you pay for what you get. You don't pay for a wonderful "experience" --- that was never part of the package. UMI Premium Sushi & Seafood Buffet changes that, and offers the Chinese Buffet in a setting that is bright, open, and beautifully decorated. There is no real "server" when you come here, all of the servers work as a collective --- you call one down, they bring you your drink, another passes by they collect your plate. These workers definitely work in harmony. Now I have to say: this Buffet is a bit pricier than the normal "Flaming Grill & Buffet" --- adults are $23.99 and kids are between $11-16. But remember: you getting not just the food --- your getting what most other buffets don't offer: AN EXPERIENCE. Besides the "hot dishes" like hibachi beef and orange chicken, UMI Premium Sushi & Seafood Buffet offers a wide variety not seen anywhere else: Hot Pot anyone? Included! Ramen? Included! Unlimited Bubble Tea? Included! Beverages? Included! Taste-wise I was thoroughly impressed. Since this is a popular buffet, it seems the food is refreshed quite often, meaning nothing will remain in the warmers for too long. Some of my favorites? Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Braised Pork Belly, and the Cantaloupe Boba Tea. True to it's name, this Buffet exceeded my expectations, was an absolute EXPERIENCE and I can't wait for another visit!

Service is very good for buffet style. They do charge a 18% ,or more I can't remember, service charge no matter what. So be aware and do not be surprised. Overall, the food is not good enough for me to go back.

Nice Brazilian restaurant with tasty food, fair price, and no frills. This is a typical…read moreself-service buffet type of restaurant which is very common in Brazilian communities in Newark-NJ, Astoria-NY and many other locations. You make your plate, weigh and pay about $10 per pound. My feijoada plate from the attached picture had a little less than a pound so I paid around $9 which is a great deal especially if you compare to other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is somewhat small, simple, but there are enough tables for everyone even during lunch hours. Staff is friendly, they give you privacy to pick your food without anyone bothering you, food is tasty and the variety is ok. I wish they had Brazilian barbecue similar to other restaurants in the area but I can't really complain because the food and price were great. Compared to other Brazilian restaurants in the area this place has a big advantage because the process is very simple. Other restaurants such as Casa Nova, Cantinho Mineiro, Delícia de Minas also offer a buffet option but their process is very complicated. They have a prix fixe option for a set price and then if you add meat it's a different price, if you want to take something to go you need to pick a prix fixe container for a different price. It's just too confusing and I don't really like that, hence my preference for this Brazilian buffet restaurant. Don't expect any luxury or lots of variety. This is a practical restaurant offering food for a fair price. I definitely recommend it. Note that there's just street parking and the Wilson Ave area tends to be busy so keep that in mind.
