I don't feel safe eating here after what happened a few days ago. It was my second time going here, I thought maybe I could make some requests and actually enjoy my meal. I requested to have my eggs not so horribly over cooked (obviously I said it nicely lol) and the waiter proceeded to tell me that all the eggs are made in the morning and that they didn't have a single egg in the kitchen to make fresh. So there you have it. Do you want eggs and most likely other ingredients that have been sitting out all day? But wait there's more. When our food gets here, we got a crab boil, we got the tiniest crab with little to no meat. Almost as if they purposely gave us a bad crab after my polite request for eggs that hadn't been sitting all day. Now let's talk about the seasoning. If you don't literally drench everything in butter then it won't taste like anything. The potato's were definitely cooked that morning and sat out, they tasted like it, and the sausage was chewy and gross. Nothing has even a pinch of salt on it, aside from the butter. I didn't know what to expect since this is not a typical dining choice; however, I was with folks who love seafood and wanted to go back. The menu prices are around $28-$32. The appetizers were not great.. we ordered mozzarella sticks, calamari, and lemon pepper wings. Definitely stick to the seafood platters. The lobster tail was surprisingly tasty, and so were the shrimp. This is not a place that I would go to again only bcuz I'm not big on seafood. This place is too darn busy and pack always. So I went for the first time and literally I had to wait for almost an hour to get my table phewww. I love this place! Hands down the best seafood in town and I've tried Mr.3s crab pot and Seafood Connection and they don't compare to the quality of seafood King crab has to offer. I love their butter sauce, their shrimp is properly cleaned and deveined unlike the other places that I've mentioned. I've also tried their fried calamari and hush puppies just to enjoy all they have to offer and all items I've tried here I have not been disappointed! Awesome awesome place! This place has been getting a lot of great reviews, so I thought I would give it a try. I went in for lunch and was seated right away. The first thing I noticed was how loud the music was when I walked into the restaurant, it was so loud I thought I was in a club. I decided to try the calamari as an appetizer and the 1 pound of crab legs with 1/2 pound of shrimp (with no heads) potatoes and corn comes with it. As the calamari came out, I knew from just looking at it was over cooked, it literally tasted like a battered fried rubber band. I immediately asked the waitress to take it away, she apologized and said it would be taken off the bill. Next, the entree came out, and I must say it was rather tasty, I got a medium spice with garlic butter. I was a little irritated that I had to ask for crab crackers, and they had cheap paper plates and plastic silverware. The atmosphere was a little annoying, at least where I was seated, they had people waiting for their tables so close to where I was eating my food. Again, the music is "so loud." I went in for lunch on a Saturday, and it was crowded, I can't imagine what dinner looks like! I will not be back for dine in, but I may grab a carry out in the future! Visited location around 3pm on a Friday, wasn't very crowded able to sit immediately with out a wait. Food came out fairly quick, reasonably priced for Charlotte seafood. On 5/1/2019 I couldn't wait to see what the talk was about. When we walked in We were seated immediately and our waitress Danielle asked was it our first time there, we responded that it was. Danielle went over the menu and was really good, she was such an enjoyment. It was two different parties that had birthdays and they pumped "Happy Birthday" by Stevie Wonder. All the staff seemed to join in and sing for the guest which I thought was great. For an appetizer I ordered the steamed oysters, My 8 year old ordered the black mussels which came with potatoes and corn, My oldest daughter had the #4 daily special which includes 1 lobster tail, 1/2 lb of crab legs shrimp and with my #4 I added a 1/2 lb of sausages we all got the juicy sauce. I enjoyed my food it was seasoned good. I hate to give to much information (TMI) but as soon as I got in the car my stomach immediately started acting a fool. I stay near Gastonia and the way things were going there's no way I would have made it home so I drove to my aunts house who lives by the Country Club near Matheson Avenue. Finally some good seafood In the city. I've been here a couple times and each experience has been amazing. I must admit I have t had anything more than their boiled seafood in a bag, but that is everything. First the atmosphere- your typical restaurant. They have a jukebox where customers can pick the music so prepare for all genres. That magical jukebox also plays stevie wonder-Happy Birthday on blast every time its time to celebrate somebody's birthday. Which is great the first time or two, but it can get annoying. Now the food. The price is pretty decent for seafood, especially since we are nowhere near the coast. I enjoy the shrimp and crab leg special, add sausage, automatically comes with potato and corn.You can however make any combination of seafood you would like. Not much was done to the inside so it still looks like Ruby Tuesdays that it had been. Now the important information. The food. They have good selection of seafood. They also have specials of different mixes of seafood. Or you can always pick just what you want. You can one pound of what you are in the mood for or pick a couple of half pounds. They have different spice flavors to pick from but it seems they really push the house mix. And it is very good. I heard a waitress say everyone says the.other flavors are tasteless. You then pick your heat level. I pick medium as a starting point. It had just a hint of heat. Hot next time. The surprise was the presentation. A big steam filled plastic bag with your food inside. I had a mix of snow crab, shrimp, mussels, and crawfish. Not going to order the crawfish again. Just very disappointing. It came with a couple pieces of corn and potatoes. It was very good and I'll go back. But for comparison if Seafood Connection was nearby I'd be rhere instead. read more

Despite the 2-star rating, I must say the food was good. However, the place is managed well starting with ownership. This is a prime opportunity to bring an anticipated delicacy to the Charlotte area, but they don't do a good job at taking care of the servers. There is a carry-out and dine-in service, but there is an extensive wait at both. Just pick one and do great at that one service, then venture to the next. Next, the bar is not setup so all you can order is beer and wine. That would be fine if they also offered the service to dine at the bar. They stated that they were understaffed in servers, but it is all in how you use what you have. There were several servers standing around as if they had nothing to do. Customer service has a lot to do with perception.
