King Kone is the king of soft-serve ice cream. It's just an old-fashioned ice cream stand, a little slice of Americana. The soft-serve ice cream is superb. I learned of this great place from my sister who lives with her family nearby. I had the fortune of going to King Kone twice during my Labor Day weekend visit. Just judging by the crowds you'll find at King Kone during the summer, you know the place is really good. You know winter is behind us when you see the lines at King None. Went for my first kiddie cone of the season (w/sprinkles of course) and was shocked that the two identical cones came to almost $7. Not impressed. Went there 15 minutes before closing and wanted some milkshakes and tacos. Was told can't do either one as everything was shut down. I realize it was close to closing but you would think an ice cream place would at least serve ice cream related items until closing. read more

King Kone is the best! I am an avid ice cream lover and soft serve is my first choice in the summer, especially with chocolate sprinkles or a dip. I love the rotating flavors at King Kone and the delicious Razzles. The sizes are massive, so make sure you are aware of that when ordering. I usually stick to a kiddie sized cone but sometimes venture to a small (if feeling particularly hungry or overheated). Without a doubt the best soft serve I've had and probably the only place I would get it from (grew up on hard-packed ice cream). I absolutely love this place! It's your hometown ice cream go to place. I think it's amazing how many ice cream cones are sold at that place and they're all huge! I don't know how they can keep up!? Looks like a lot of locals visits this place. It is nothing fancy and just a walk up to the window and give your order. Unless you are really hungry do not order anything more then a kidde cone for most people and a small for someone that wants a lot.I think they have 4-5 sizes of cones. They serve all types of ice cream treats and also coat almost anything with other coverings. There is parking around the building probably enough for a dozen cars but many just pick up there order and leave. read more

Good soft serve. The window person warned about the 'large' being really large, and it was so large I could barely finish it. I thought there might be more choices for toppings, but since it was my first time there, maybe I didn't look hard enough, so I just got vanilla with no toppings. I don't really understand the hype about this place. The prices were great, but besides that I have no reason to go back. There was no place to sit and the flavor selection was less than desirable. I ordered banana soft serve and it was almost inedible. I love banana flavored stuff too. My husband ordered vanilla and it was ok, but nothing spectacular that we couldn't get anywhere else. I also think a placed called King Kone should offer more kinds of cones other than just plain sugar. read more

The service is remarkably efficient for the crowds, and even though there's a few large picnic tables, you might find yourself hard-pressed to get a seat; there are always those eating on the nearby grassy banks or in their cars with the doors open. The portions are massive, and a small here is equal to a medium or even a large anywhere else. You can get it with sprinkles (or jimmies, if you prefer), in sundae form, soft serve or frozen yogurt, in a cone or a dish. They have your normal ice-cream stand wide array of flavors and options, and for a few dollars you can be licking your dripping vanilla-chocolate swirl into Summertime Heaven. read more

We visited today, and after two attempts to make a vanilla ice cream cone, your employee told us the vanilla was too soft. So we told him to make us a chocolate one. When he handed it to us, the ice cream was at a 45 degree angle from the cone. How it did not fall off in his hand is beyond me. It might be nice if you could teach your employees how to do their job before turning them loose on the public. In the end, we paid, but never received our cone because they could not make one. Just went to King Kone for the first time this year and came away disappointed. A small twist on a very small cone cost $3.45. For about the same price you could get a large cone at any Dairy Queen who's ice cream I find richer and creamier. I want to support local business but also don't want to be ripped off. read more

SINCERELY disappointed. Be careful getting there ANYwhere close to closing time! We arrived at 9:04pm on Wednesday July 26, 56 minutes before they apparently close. When we arrived, my family and I were sadly disappointed to see they were boarding up the windows. The other customers outside informed us that they started turning people away at 9pm, because they were "closed". I turned to the worker inside and she only looked me in the eye and shut the window on me. Truly sad to see such horrible customer service, especially from a place I heard only great things about. I have yet to find a better place for ice cream anywhere. It might just be because i have been coming here all my life but it is simply the best in my opinion. The price is fair, the portions are extremely generous, and the line is never really more than 10-15 minutes. Plenty of awesome flavors and toppings to choose from as well. the seating seems to be lacking, as they only have about 3 picnic table benches, but i personally enjoy walking over to the grassy hill right next to the parking lot, sitting down, and enjoying my cone! read more

First I don't want to waste the anybody's time just go to the big one it's like 10 minutes down the road tops into Nashua I brought the wife and kids to King Kone thinking let's try a new ice cream place we always go to the big one now I remember why we always go to the big one it was absolutely shit the ice cream was actually worse than storebrand ice cream and the prices were about the same as the big one the sizes suck as well for a place called King Kone you would think they would have a large size cone they should call it lacking in good ice cream don't bother drive down the freaking street don't waste your time or your money the only reason this place is still in business is because it's a mom-and-pop shop which I am all for but the big one is a mom-and-pop shop as well and they give you what you pay for not shitty service and shitty quality don't waste your time or money here The kids ordered a small ice cream in a cup with sprinkles it was like a half a scoop of ice cream the wife ordered a banana split and they had almost no selection of ice cream I ordered a taco they get the one star for being the only ice cream place I've seen that serves tacos The taco was an amazing I was just shocked that an ice cream place serve tacos read more
