Took my dad here for his birthday. It's Chinese tradition to eat noodles on birthdays and this was a great place for such occasions. Their price is super reasonable. $7ish for a big bowl of HAND pulled noodle soup that you can add 2 toppings (meat and veges). Their hand pulled noodles are super good. My family also ordered their live crab and boy did it tasted good. Compliment to the chef! Their white and fried rice were a bit undercooked and were a tad hard, otherwise I would go again. Just make sure you grab your credit card when you leave. The waitress didn't return my credit card and I had to drive back the next day to get it. Hand pulled noodles, huge portions, and delightful broth for 8 dollars! It's ridiculous. This place makes broth like your grandma. It's full flavored but still light and not oily like a lot of broths you get even in china town. Their noodle soups work like this: for 7.99 pick your choice of noodles, broth (chicken, Szechuan, and beef), 2 veggies, and 2 meats. When the bowl came out I immediately regretted ordering salt and pepper prawns (which were equally delicious) because the bowl was ginormous. You can watch the chef hand pull the noodles from a small window that looks into the kitchen. Within a few minutes those noodles are in your bowl and you're burning your tongue. I wish they gave more meat in the bowls but maybe that was for the better since I wasn't able to finish the whole serving anyways. They are attentive to their customers and are always looking out to see if anyone needs anything like refills. Went here last night on a whim because I was craving some Chinese food and it has good reviews on Yelp, but after getting my meal I have no idea how this place has 4 stars. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and it was absolutely awful. I've never eaten pre-packaged frozen Chinese food from the grocery store, but I imagine it has to be better than the meal I got here. The sauce was disgusting and tasted nothing like General Tso sauce, no spice whatsoever and it had a weird funky taste and smell to it. The chicken was gross and was not white meat, it was tough, dark, and basically inedible. I literally took two bites of my meal and threw it away. I've had a lot of bad Chinese food over the years trying out different restaurants around North America, and I can honestly say this was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. A whole in the wall restaurant located in Everett, WA. After a long hike, my bf and I were craving some hot soup and happened upon this restaurant. The coolest part is they hand pull some of their noodles, which can be displayed through a window located towards the front of the restaurant. It was a fun experience choosing the type of broth, noodle, and toppings that would go into our individuals dishes. The flavor of the broth was a little light (in my opinion), since I was hoping for a more rich flavored broth. However, the noodles were very tasty! I prefer chewier noodles, so I ordered their hand-shaved noodles which look more like little chunks of noodles. Wanting to try something new we let yelp decide what to eat for lunch and chose the first restaurant that popped up when we were around Everett. When we arrived the service was quick and got seated right away. The menu had a lot of choices. They specialize in noodles so you can pick your own noodle combo from the menu: 1st choice: the soup/broth 2nd: type of noodles you want 3rd: (2 choices) the meat/seafood 4th: (2 choices) toppings. There are plenty of meat choices! Of course there's more than just noodles as an option on the menu. Their noodle combo menu also had pictures on them which helped us pick what kind of meat we wanted to try. I got the egg noodles with beef broth, beef brisket, roast pork, beef tendon with sprouts and bokchoy. My boyfriend got the egg noodles with spicy Szechuan soup, beef brisket, roast pork, mushrooms and sprouts. We also got the friend chicken as an appetizer, it was crispy and juicy on the inside but I felt that it was a bit too oily for me. The noodles were delicious and had a lot of flavor to it. The roast pork was tender and the skin part was a little bit crispy too which was enjoyable to eat. This place was really good. You got to build your own soup, by picking your own broth noodle type meats and vegetables. The beef base was amazing. The only reason I'm giving it a four-star instead of a five-star is because the duck which was tasty have bones in it which was a surprise in soup. The restaurant was very clean the staff was wonderful and the prices were really good. We will definitely be going back to this place. We stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday and the restaurant was not that busy as the lunch crowd had just left. We were handed a menu and an order form. This being our first visit, we did not know what it was for. We open the menu and the "build your own" noodle bowl was first on the menu. Now, we get it! The menu had pictures of every soup base, noodle, meat and vegetable options available to "build" your bowl. This is especially helpful if you are unfamiliar with the ingredients. We filled out the form and handed it to our server. Since we were not familiar with the size, we assumed it wouldn't hurt to order additional items from the menu. We also placed an order for Fried Spring Roll, Salt and Pepper Squid, Deep Fried Chicken Wings, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, House Special Fried Rice and Seafood Chow Mein. Holy wow... the noodle bowl is huge. We had food good for 6 people and there was only 2 of us sitting in a table for 2. I'm glad King Noodle House came to Everett because now when I am in the mood for a tasty bowl of noodle soup on a chilly Washington day, it's only a 15 minute drive away. I can't really talk for their menu since I've only had their noodle soup, but I hear the rest of the menu is pretty spot on as well. I've had the regular hand-pulled noodles and the spinach hand-pulled noodles. For the newbies, I'd recommend either noodles. Then pick your meats and veggies, broth, and submit it to the waiter. Then run to the window and watch you noodles get slammed on the table and pulled into long strands of tastiness. The bowl runs one about $7 and it gets you very full. The first time I saw this restaurant, I was going next door to the asian market to pick up some dirt cheap salmon. On my way out, I noticed the restaurant and said "I think I will try this place." Twice visited, twice satisfied. Wow! The noodles are absolutely amazing! Seeing the chef prepare the noodles you personally will have in your tummy in less than 30 minutes right in front of you is a real treat. And there's multiple types too. Hand-strung or shaved, it doesn't matter, it's all goodness! The only downside is the quality of the grilled pork. Maybe it was just me, but I thought it was rubbery. A shame, since I think it could glisten inside the awesome soup base and stellar tofu. Stick with the tofu and veggies. On the flip side of the coin, the prices are rock-bottom and you get what you pay for I guess. And if that's the compromise, I wouldn't want them to change a thing. Ambiance is decidedly informal; you're there to eat. It's great for families and couples alike. Ample parking, just make sure you enter in the same entrance as the asian market and Lanna Thai. A co-worker had treated me to lunch to check out this place and I was actually pleased with the outcome of my noodle soup. It was very light and not heavy but really filling. I got Szechuan Spicy Soup with Spinach Hand Noodles, topped with mushrooms, Chinese chives, Wonton and Beef Meat Balls. Service was very fast and efficient, and the waiters were very polite. I am not sure what happened, but every single piece of beef I had was mostly tendon. Huge pieces of tendon. There was barely any edible meat. Also my hubby's broccoli beef had the same kind of very cheap meat. Usually broccoli beef has a very tender cut of meat, but this was chewy and also inedible. It was fun to watch our noodles being made in the window. Try to sit where you can see the chef. The bowl was HUGE! We ate until we were stuffed and felt like we didn't lower the level of the soup at all. The orange wedges that arrived at our table were a nice refreshing "dessert" Downside was the young wait staff. They were all hanging out by the front door when we walked in and we weren't sure who to look to when we walked in the door. Do we wait to be seated? Sit down ourselves? They spent time on their phones at the open service station and really didn't communicate much with us when they brought the food. Knowing how filthy cell phones are, it was a bit of a turn-off. Screw this place. We went there at 859 when they close at 10 and we got told to hurry up and order or leave.
