Stopped by on a whim even though it was pouring down that afternoon, and I was not disappointed. Had the brisket and jalapeno sausage with mac-n-cheese and green beans. I felt like I had drive 100 miles into the country and sat down for a nice, home-cooked meal. my wife purchased 2 large hamburgers & fries today and she asked for the meat to be cooked well done. when she got home, the hamburgers were solid pink inside and burnt on the outside. i wouldn't recommend getting any more hamburgers from this place. read more

Dry was the key word applied to everything we ordered from the chicken sandwich, rolls, chicken, and Turkey. The good - The staff is nice and were very friendly, the inside was clean and presentable. The bad - Literally everything food related. I got the two meat combo with two sides which was priced around $17, so I expect decent BBQ for that price. Boy oh boy was I disappointed....I got sausage and brisket along with Mac n' cheese and creamed corn. The brisket was horrible, it looked gray with no seasoning on the outside whatsoever. It was also dry and didn't have hardly any smoke ring on the meat. The sausage was also bad, just could tell that it was cheap sausage from a grocery store and no effort put into it. The Mac n cheese tasted like they just took some macaroni and dumped nacho cheese over the top, it just tasted like nothing. Last but not least, the creamed corn...same as the rest of the meal, no effort or thought put into it. It was just put into a serving dish straight from the can and warmed up. Ordered (2) 4 meat dinners with 2 sides.. I got turkey, brisket, pork ribs, and grilled chicken. Girlfriend got Sausage, Brisket, Turkey and Ham. All the meats were cooked perfectly but the turkey was a family favorite! Sides were green beans, squash/zucchini, and broccoli cheese casserole. And the green beans were fantastic! This was by far the worst BBQ I have ever had in Texas. I hate to be a downer, but there was no saving grace. The brisket was a weird color and the sausage had no taste. Decided to try their hamburger. Wow! It was very good compared to my experience with their bbq. Meat patty wasn't dry or chewy. Their fries have skin on them and tasted home cut, but who knows nowadays. My only complaint would be their two televisions. Both sets had the news on them. I've had the burger, ribs, brisket and chicken fried steak. All were great. The sides are awesome as well. The thing that will set this place apart is price! Everything is really inexpensive. Some one left a flyer at our job last week. I kept passing it by then decided to take a look. Everything looked good and reasonably priced so we decided to head there for lunch! I AM SO GLAD WE DID!!! We both ordered the brisket plate with sides of cheesy potatos and creamed corn. I want to note that making a decision on a side was not wasy as they all looked delicious! I dunno but he made a point to talk to us and tell us a little more about the food. He then talked me in to a Hummingbird cake that was so delcious! I have no complaints about this foo and the fact it is .4 miles from my job makes it perfect for me! My co-worker and i are starting keto this week ( for the 100th time) and John advised that they had the green beans and salad that we could use as sides with the diet. Honestly.. had me expecting more. It's not the worst or the best bbq but if you're hungry and craving bbq, it serves the purpose. The fried okra was good as well as the spicy sausage, no complaints. The baked beans taste as good as Bush's bake beans. The brisket is tender with appropriate thickness but it has a very faint smoke smell and no flavor.
