I understand the reason why this place has 3 stars you might want to thank Anthony Campos one of the managers there! The approach he has is unacceptable as he believes the MANAGER position is to turn customers away and to say No to them to everything. Long story short I called around 8pm last night and clearly asked what time they closed, rep said "10pm we will cut the line off from whoever walks up last" I understood that portion clearly. I pulled up @ 9PM with my wife and waited on a 45 degree weather outside that's how loyal customers are to this place right? Ok , 940PM comes around we waited about 40 mins at this time and the security brings cone to the end of the line he says that's it no more people after here please everyone said ok. Seconds later manager storms out and pulls the cone up further and says up to here that's it, who is he to decide who waits and leaves!! Like it was a lottery who gets cut off, his attitude towards the whole situation was just disgusting , did not want to answer any questions and his answer was too bad those are the rules, I am a business owner, like for real, who treats their customers like crap and turns them away without any good valid explanations. This is why your store has 3 stars it can be 5, might need a realignment or training to have him treat people better. I spend about $500 a week here with my construction crew too for sure we are not coming here even if the food is great that's it. Just like he said no more , well that will be my answer to supporting this location. Feel free to contact me, I contacted corporate to see if even an apology is placed , I did not end up eating dinner because I lost my hunger and the poor wife too. For a mexican Chain food restaurant, I really like this place. Beats the heck out of taco bell and del taco. But then again that may not be saying much. The best thing that I like about htis place is their green salsa. It's nice and spicey and has a lot of flavors in it. I can honestly say it has got to be the best green salsa, hands down. I have tried making this secret sauce so many times. Each time I try, I end up giving it to my pit bull because it just tastes weird. Yep my dog loves my FAIL king taco salsas! Whenever my dog has had too much - I can hear this funny sound coming out of his belly. Then I see him shoot to my backyard. My fail salsa is so potent that I can smell him when he does his nasty business outside LOL! I kow they use habanero, cumin, tomatillos, pepper, garlic and maybe cloves. But no matter what I do - I just can't duplicate their green salsa. If anyone knows this recipe please post it somewhere, I will give up anything to get this right - and I'm sure my dog's bowels will appreciate it! My favorite tacos here are the cabeza and lengua - which translate into meat from a cow's head and meat from a cow's tongue. It may sound gross, but give it a try and I thik you'll be pleasantly suprised. Their chicken is not bad too. Other than that I think everything else there pretty much blows. Customer service there is terrible, I feel that unless I go with my cholo buddies, I get treated like crap. I can't believe I have not yet reviewed one of my favorite places to eat Al Pastor?!! I mean, How can you not love King Taco?!! It is by far one of the best Taco chains in Inland Empire, my only gripe is the closest location is about half an hour away from me, so when I am close to one, I have to stop. I think I have been to pretty much every location by now, and I find them all consistent in that it is just no frills, great Mexican food, with long lines. Since it gets really full here, best is to go at off hours, I usually come early mornings to avoid a line. I always go with the al pastor, really the reason for coming here. Best tasted in the tacos, so I always get a few of those. My husband is partial to the burritos, my son the quesadilla, which is really the best value, tacos and burritos are tiny, order double of what you would anywhere else. I love the green sauce, my husband the red, quesadilla is the only item that comes with guac, also very much worth it. Prices are a bit high compared to portion size, but the taste is always so spot on, its worth every penny! read more

Love me some King Taco. We had an event at work for 100 people and we decided to give a call to King Taco regarding their taco truck. Getting everything set up with their coordinator was simple and well explained and the pricing was very competetive with some other options available. Went with King Taco because I love their food and figured everyone at work would as well. On the day of the event, they showed up on time and started preparing the AYCE tacos right away. When it was time for service, everything went off without a hitch and everyone LOVED the food. I was completely impressed with their operation and it suited our event perfectly. We will most definitely be doing this again for our company and I'm happy that I found an easy, cost effective solution to catering for our company events. Thanks King! read more

What happen to the King Tacos Taste? I stopped by the King Taco in Ontario last week and I have to say it was a totally disappointing experience. I use to go to the one in LA. off the 710 and those tacos were WAY better. I ordered 4 tacos, 2 asada and 2 AL pastor, I got moist tortillas hardly no meat in my tacos and they dint even offer limes. My taco looked like someone had sprinkled some meat onions and a little cillantro.King Taco is becoming too Corporate and needs to focus on keeping the OG tacos they use to have back in the late 90's in LA. For people that want a real deal taco go to Boca Del Rio in La Puente on Hacienda and Ricon El Taurino in DT L.A. Those are real tacos!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would lol but me and my boyfriend came here tonight around 11:30. When we arrived it was not busy at all but we ended up waiting 50 minutes for only 6 tacos and a cheese quesadilla.... how does it take 50 minutes to make such a simple order is all I'm wondering. We asked about our order after waiting 30 minutes and the lady said the guy was packing it up for us.. yet it still took another 20 minutes for us to get the food. After waiting so long we weren't even hungry. Mind you it was already past midnight when we got the food. The last time I visited this place, there was a bit too much oil in the meat. But let me tell you, they really stepped up their game this time! The man at the front who assisted me was incredibly kind and respectful. However, the lady who prepared my food, MAYARIAm, was absolutely fantastic. She cooked with such love and care, and you could sense that nurturing energy of a mother or grandmother. As she made my burrito and quesadilla, I just knew they were going to be delicious. And let me tell you, they were not just great, they were absolutely amazing! If you happen to stop by this KING taco, make sure to ask for her to prepare your meal. King Taco has a reputation of being great however this store is awful. We ordered Carne asada Tacos, burritos, sopes, and one quesadilla. Food was warm and had no flavor. After a long day at Disneyland we couldn't wait to stop and have some good food. We definitely won't be back to this location. Also it wasn't busy(a line as usual but not out the door like I have seen in the past) so I'm not sure what happened. Same day hours later- I'm editing my review due to all 6 of us becoming ill. There were 6 of us total at this visit and all had diarrhea and 2 also vomited multiple times. I don't post often but I can't let this one go. Be wise and skip this location. read more

I ordered 8 tamales to go. Waited 45 mins to get them but keep in mind that IF they have tamales is because they're already made, ready to go. After getting my order 45 mins after, I drove 15 mins to get to my house and to find out I was 2 tamales short! I called them and they tell me to ask for Omar. I had to drive back and tell Omar my situation and he pretty much didn't care much. He did not apologized for the inconvenience of wasting my time, or for the bad execution of his team. I find it completely infuriating that there is a $2.30 up charge to add a sprinkle of Cotja cheese to your burrito and they're so damn selfish with the salsa that they basically force you to pay an additional $6 for a 6 oz cup of salsa. What in the Fresh hell is this ? I've been a fan since growing up in East LA and visiting the 3rd street location but these prices are insane ! Hey, you miss the Prison? Well now you can at least eat like your still there at King Taco. All kidding aside, this is a terrible place with bad food. The meat tasted like the pads they use to clean the grill. The prices are way too much for what you get and the employees have all the charm and customer service skill of a prison guard. Worst King Taco ever! This Ontario location is unbelievably slow. They call out one number every 10 minutes, no exaggeration. There's always a massive line, yet they only ever have one cashier working, no sense of urgency at all. It's frustrating and completely inefficient. If you live in the IE, do yourself a favor and just drive to East LA. You'll get your food faster, and honestly, you'll probably be back home before you'd even get your order here. I love King Taco. Stick to carne asada. Their al pastor is not as good as pork at other taquerias. The best location is the one in Pasadena. The other ones tend to make it a hassle to get extra sauce for whatever reason. The one in Pasadena piles on the meat and they always provide you sauce free of charge. Socioeconomic factors are playing a part in these decisions, methinks. read more

I've been eating from King Taco since I was a kid, and 30 years later I'm glad to see they are expanding. As always their food is great, they originally started from Taco Trucks and since moving to restaurants they have tried to stream line the food process.
