i came to kingbop to try their sushi tacos that have become popular thru tiktok. i got the spicy tuna, the salmon, and the shrimp (which also has imitation crab meat). these 3 totaled out to about $32, which at first i found to be really pricey. however, after seeing the size of the tacos and how filling they were, i would say it's not a bad price. my favorite out of the 3 was probably the salmon. they were very generous with the amount of salmon they gave and it tasted really fresh, with just the right amount of sauce. i also enjoyed the shrimp taco, which i didn't expect to like so much, but it was super flavorful! i didn't really like the spicy tuna taco just because i prefer a mayo based spicy tuna. although they did have spicy mayo drizzled on top, their spicy tuna itself seemed to be pepper based. i'm sure some enjoy that but i personally don't, so i didn't like the tuna taco. despite enjoying 2/3 of the sushi tacos, i probably wouldn't come again. i noticed after my first sushi taco that the fried shell started to become overwhelming, and eventually, all i could really taste. by the time i got to my last one (the salmon), i threw the shell out and just ate the contents with some rice. additionally, my friend got the pork belly taco and that one was really not good. there was so much grease that had accumulated so the whole taco was inedible. overall i think this is a good place to try, and i'm glad i did but i probably won't be a regular at kingbop.

This place has been viral so I decided to drive out and try it! The sushi tacos are about $10 and some change and they have a great variety to choose from!I went close to opening so no rush or lines. The beef belly and unagi tacos were delicious the flavors and ingredients were so good! Definitely worth a visit at least once! I will be back! Even my daughter enjoyed it! **Downside** The place and parking lot is small and some spots are a tight squeeze. The area is not great so be mindful! There a some tables to sit and eat and the staff was welcoming and friendly! Can be pricey I paid $32 dollars for three tacos however portion size is huge and fair for price point. Grilled pork belly and as the worst one out the three I tried so dry, bland, and lots of fat pieces avoid that one!

I was in DTLA looking for a solid lunch spot and had a couple of places saved on Yelp. Ok, I admit I have tons of saved places on my "to try" yelp lists. First stop I tried (Holbox)...which had a line around the corner, and the second spot I wanted to try was Chuy's Tacos and it's closed on Sundays. I ended up at KingBop about 15 minutes away...and honestly, that worked out pretty darn well to quench my "Taco" craving. It's tucked into a dumpy little strip mall, so don't come expecting much atmosphere. This is more of a fast-casual, self-service kind of spot where you can order on the tablet or at the counter, then wait for your food. The seating area is small, and I had to wait for a table to open up. Parking was also a bit of a battle on a busy weekend around 1 p.m., but that's LA being LA. The sushi TACO's, though? Really really good. I tried the pork taco (good) and the ahi tuna taco (my fav). The shells are crispy seaweed with a tempura-style crunch, so they actually hold together and give you that great taco bite. The flavors were fresh, the sauces were on point, and the whole thing worked way better than I expected. Thx Yelp for another satisfying Taco treat. They have a deal where you get $3 off if you order three tacos, but I only grabbed two. They're a little on the pricey side, but they were filling enough and worth it. Two tacos hit the spot without putting me into a food coma, which is always appreciated. The food took a little while to come out, but it tasted fresh and made-to-order. Overall, I really enjoyed it. KingBop takes sushi, flips it upside down, stuffs it into a crispy taco seaweed shell, and somehow makes perfect sense. As a crispy taco fan, I was fully on board. Five stars from me. Not fancy, not atmospheric, but fun, creative, fresh, and delicious.

April 22, 2026 | Los Angeles | The moment I heard about the Viral Crunchy Sushi Tacos, I knew I had to add KingBop to my wish list! 3 Crunchy Sushi Tacos | Shared | At first sight and bite, the Salmon & Spicy Tuna Sushi Tacos easily looked yummy, piled high with toppings & dripping with sauce! I enjoyed the salmon taco! My favorite was the Spicy Tuna Crunchy Taco, which was absolutely delicious and I loved hearing that crunch! Haha! It's definitely a messy taco, but worth it, so keep napkins near! Honey Butter Seasoning Fries | I absolutely love honey butter chips, so I knew the fries would be a hit and they were incredibly delicious! I craved one bite after another! I highly recommend! Fried Seaweed Rolls | I honestly thought I would love this, but they were not a hit for me! I only had one bite! Cute wrapping paper underneath though! Haha! Sighting | While my friend and I were catching up, I heard someone's funny ringtone quite often... So I thought, it actually ended up being a real life parrot! Haha! The woman was super friendly, we spoke briefly as she was walking out of the restaurant and she let me take a cute photo of the parrot! Inside | It's bright and colorful! You order at the kiosk! There was a special for three tacos for three dollars off! This place gets super busy! There were a lot of orders to go as well! Luckily, we found a table right away! A woman picking up an order for her daughter asked how were the tacos and I raved about the salmon taco!! Note | As KingBop is definitely a super busy place, I would recommend wiping down the glass door every now and then and the baseboards! Overall | I enjoyed the crunchy tacos! If in the area, I would easily return and try another taco, excited to hear that crunch!

The way someone had the idea to completely transform sushi and add a fun twist to making it into the most perfectly crispy sushi taco. The crisp on these sushi tacos is INSANE. I think that the spicy tuna taco is flawless everything works together. The salmon and the shrimp taco on the other hand, get a little lost, but if you get extra sauce on the side, it almost matches up to the spicy tuna

Wow what a concept! My girlfriend and I decided to try this trendy spot and were greeted by a line out the door of other curious foodies excited to get their fill of sushi tacos. I wasn't sure what to expect upon arrival but liked that they had options to order at their digital kiosk if clankers are more your thing vs ordering with a human. We waited in line for maybe 10-15 minutes before placing our order at the helpful robot and quickly snagged a table as real estate was precious in their tiny dining space. While their staff looked mostly efficient pumping out to-go orders, sadly our beef bulgogi kimchi fries really held up our order. It appeared that although our sushi tacos were ready quickly, the Fries were ready almost a whole 20 minutes later. We waited maybe 30-40 minutes for our order to come out. I was obviously a bit bothered, but understood that they had more orders coming in than they could possibly handle. When we did end up taking our first bites I was astounded. Their exciting flavors, chunky portions, and fried seaweed provided a bite I had never experienced before! Honestly so worth it. The salmon and Tuna tacos were less flavorful than the beef belly one because the meat obviously was seasoned/marinated but for them being sushi tacos they were awesome with nice ingredients. I think the wait on the meat made the fries taste a little old but still everything was amazing. The staff is friendly, and did their best to maintain a good system amid the chaos that is their fan base. While I am not sure I will be back anytime soon, the food truly was a pleasure as it was unique, filling, and delicious.

Ugh the hype is real!! This place always has a line I feel like no matter what time, so ordering ahead is probably the best option. We tried a bunch of stuff - Rose Mala Topokki, Crispy Shrimp and Beef Kimbaps and 3 Crunchy Tacos (Salmon, Spicy Tuna and another meat one). My favorite was definitely the topokki but honestly everything was soo good. The servings are big and they really load up the tacos, so it's great value. Overall, so so good!!

So Kingbop's sushi tacos actually exceeded my expectations. Super yummy! The hype is real and worth it. I would seriously recommend giving these a shot. I went for several of the three taco deal and tried them all. My favorites in order were the unagi, with the sweet sauce and spicy crab, the spicy tuna, the salmon, beef, and pork. I ordered online so things were ready when I arrived. I actually recommend doing this because there was quite a line. The location is jammed into a corner of a very small strip mall. There are pretty much no parking spots available. So be prepared for that as well. Definitely worth a trip to try. Totally awesome and unique flavors. Five stars!

Ok this was fun. Comfort "tashi" (taco sushi). I've tried this before in other places, but none of them took, and a year after they opened, none of them are around any more. The reason? I suspect it's because they try to fancy it up as sushi, rather than comfort it down to what I'd call emotional-damage-breakup-food. You know.... eat everything cuz he/she dumped you for that "just a friend" they always hang out with..... you know what I'm talking about. Comfort food. After which, you do the "best way to get over somebody, is to get under somebody".... before you heal and decide to be a better person. While you're hurting though? THIS IS WHAT YOU EAT. I had the beef and unagi tacos, and I was feeling might comfy. The great thing about it is they hold for a while when you want to bring it home. Prices average about $11-13, but I always get the 3-taco deal, which comes out to under $10 each. The neighborhood is kinda ghetto, so if you're the prissy Newport Beach TikTok type, I'd recommend you just DoorDash it. Definitely a fan!!

Wow! Talk about trying something completely different that I've never had before. The best way I could describe it is like eating a sushi roll inside a crispy seaweed taco. I've been hearing about this place on social media for a while, so I finally stopped by to see what all the hype was about. They've got seven different crunchy sushi tacos to choose from including Grilled Beef Belly, Unagi Crab, Grilled Pork Belly, Calamari, Spicy Tuna Crab, Salmon, and Shrimp Crab. I went with the Grilled Pork Belly Taco and the Salmon Taco. I still don't know how they make that seaweed shell, but it's awesome. The outside is coated with a light crispy batter that gives it a nice crunch, while the seaweed underneath still has a little chew to it. It's a really unique texture that somehow works perfectly. The Salmon Taco was loaded with fresh salmon, thick slices of avocado, sesame seeds, and crunchy tempura flakes on top. Every bite was fresh, creamy, and had a great mix of textures. The Pork Belly Taco was packed with tender grilled pork belly, topped with spicy mayo, fresh jalapeños, and sesame seeds. It had just enough heat without overpowering the pork. Both tacos were stuffed with a generous amount of filling and rice. Honestly, one taco could be enough for a lot of people. After finishing both, I was definitely full. This is one of those places that's doing something completely different, and they pulled it off. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the quality was there. I'll definitely be coming back to work my way through the rest of the menu. If you're a sushi fan and want to try something you've probably never had before, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

We got recommended to this place. The service and food were average. We were served in to-go containers while others around were served in dishes/nice presentation. I was waiting for my food with presentation and was disappointed. If that wasn't bad enough we had to get up to ask for soy sauce and ketchup to check in on our order. Without the soy sauce my sushi tacos would have been so plain. The girls next to us were so loud. Shrimp tempura was so small, you get better quality at Trader Joe's. Recommendation tip: Tip at the end we ended up tipping before our food arrived and that was unfortunate.

Kingbop had been on my radar for a minute so I finally made the trip. It's tucked away in a little strip mall and the parking lot is tiny. Street parking is the move because this place stays busy. Walked in and it was packed, placed my order at the self service kiosk and settled in for a wait. There were a ton of to go orders ahead of mine but in my experience that's always a good sign. Got the Crispy Shrimp and Spicy Crab Sushi Taco to go and it was worth the wait. Sweet, savory, and looked just as good as it tasted. One thing worth mentioning, the tails are still on the shrimp so don't get so caught up in how good it looks that you forget to remove them first. My only other regret was not ordering more of them.

Delicious first time here! We got 4 tacos, two shrimp tacos which were so good with a good amount of spicy crab salad, the bulgogi tacos was my favorite it had a lot of meat, and the eel was a large piece. Definitely recommend

Sushi tacos were decent, but not worth the price or the wait time. My girlfriend also ordered a ramen, and it was 27 dollars for instant noodles, a slice of american cheese and cut up hot dogs. Only place for pickup as well since the atmosphere is similar to a doctors office, loud, packed with people, and bright lights. Service was nonexistent too. read more

Food was absolutely amazing, no complaints there. I will say that if you're not ordering ahead, you're going to be waiting quite a bit. I have gone here on two separate occasions. I ordered ahead on the second occasion, but the order still came out 10 minutes after my pickup time. Not sure if this is because I ordered a tempura roll and they have to make it fresh, but I have no concerns about the quality. Interior of the building has a bunch of tables for people and they constantly have k-pop playing, it is usually empty though. I'm rating this a 4/5 because of the slow order time, but if I am able to order way ahead of time then this place is perfect. read more

I came here twice in a row to try different menu items. I absolutely loved their food and customer service was amazing. The employees were attentive and kind and the food was so good! The first day I came I got the cupbop, which despite its size, it's very filling. I also tried some of the kimchi fries and I loved it! The second day I shared a combo of shrimp kimbop & topokki. I personally cannot handle spice, so the topokki was a bit spicy for me but still SO good. My uncle and I ate it all, 10/10!! I will definitely be revisiting to try more of their menu items. The inside is small but there is plenty of seating :). I recommend! read more

We heard of this new Kingbop bunshik spot opened up, so we had to try. Seven of us ordered, tukboki, deep fried tuna kimbop, original fried boneless chicken, honey butter fried boneless, kimchi fried rice, and rose pasta. All the dishes were yummy! I especially liked the deep fried tuna kimbop, which reminded me of kimmari. A great combo with spicy tukboki! Chicken was crispy on the outside, moist and meaty on the inside. Everyone loved the tukboki and rose pasta. Kimchi fried rice was also visually pleasing and tasty. This place is perfect for a group of friends to share and to try different variety of dishes, as we ended up paying only around $17 per person, including tip! The owners are friendly, and they have free parking. read more

The owner here truly has a passion for food. I never imagined kimbop could taste this good! Each roll is packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can feel the effort and care put into every bite. But this place isn't just about kimbop--the other dishes are just as incredible. We tried the kimbops(egg bomb,bulgogi,tunamayo,spicy pork), kimchi fried rice, rose topoki, sausage-and-rice-cake skewers, shrimp tempura hand roll, and the newly launched mayo mala chicken. (Yes, we ordered a lot because we live far away and wanted to take some home--it was just that good!) Everything was absolutely delicious. My husband said the kimchi fried rice was the best he's ever had. The mayo mala chicken, made with a house-developed sauce, was unlike anything I've tasted before. It starts sweet and finishes with a subtle, spicy mala kick that keeps you coming back for more--it's perfectly balanced and not overwhelming at all. If you're in LA and searching for truly amazing kimbop, this is the place to go! read more

This places does it right! I had the 8pc wings and fries. The wings are crispy and tender with a ton of flavor. Everything seemed to be made to order, so I knew I would have to wait while it was cooked. Definitely would try again. If I had it my way I'd love a ranch maybe a kimchi ranch or gochujang ranch! read more

This is definitely a great spot for kimbop with a variety of great options! I had the shrimp tempura and tuna kimbops which were both delicious. The kimchi fried rice was definitely my favorite dish, I loved how they included not only a fried egg on top but scrambled eggs as well. The fried chicken was super crispy too. Our server was very nice and always checked on our table. It was a nice spot! read more

I was a little skeptical about this place because they have damn near 5 stars....... Oh my goodness! The food is delicious! I got the combo number 2, paid an extra $5 to get two different rolls, and 2 wing flavors. For the rolls I choose the bulgogi and spicy pork; the wings I chose the sweet and spicy and honey soy garlic. Both rolls were so damn good and flavorful. I added spicy mayo on top, then my extra side of kimchi, and made some soy sauce and chilli dipping sauce, I felt like I was in heaven! The wings were super crispy and HUGE. My favorite flavor was definitely the sweet and spicy. I also had a couple fried rice cakes, who knew I needed those in my life! I could for sure eat a whole box of those. The beautiful young lady that took my order, was very nice and patient with me as I made up my mind. I am a huge fan of Korean food, this is definitely one of my new favorite spots unfortunately! read more

The sausage is smokey and delicious. Kingbop has plenty of fluffy eggs. Literally KINGBOP. Rice cake skewer was also tasty. Service is good and friendly. The location is a bit rough. The toppoki has plenty of wide noodles, but it would be nice to have a heavier share of rice cakes. The wide noodles go great with the mala sauce, but is a bit heavy with the rose. read more

I'm going to glaze KINGBOP!! What a find, what a gem of a place this is! We stumbled upon this eatery by accident one late evening but it became our instant favorite kimbop place in LA after we took a bite of a kimbop roll. We ordered theee kinds, bugogi, kimchi spam, and spicy pork. Each roll can easily stand alone as the tastiest and we devoured all of them. We also ordered ddukboki and it was good. Right amount of spiciness and loved that it was more soupy than thick-saucy - - just personal preference as we love to dunk kimbop rolls in it when the sauce is tasty. The spicy broth was full of flavor and the dduk was perfectly chewy. We love local restaurants and cannot wait to return to try other items in the menu. Tuna, crispy pork belly kimbop and rose ddukboki will be our next order!! Oh, I forgot to mention their service!! They were the BEST!!! They were so kind, patient, and just simply wonderful. Because we liked them so much, I think food tasted even better because you can feel the care in their food!! Give this place a try. If you love Kfood, you won't be disappointed!! read more

This is officially my favorite restaurant for kimbap specifically!! My favorite is the bulgogi kimbap (with kimchi added as a personal preference) and it's bombbb. I love that they use bulgogi slices vs ground beef as many other restaurants use which tends to be dry and flavorless. Kingbop's bulgogi kimbap is full of flavor and each bite a nice size and the sliced bulgogi makes such a huge difference in taste. I also love their sotteok too! Right amount of sweetness and spice. The workers are friendly and there's free parking too! Definitely recommend Kingbop 10/10 read more

I placed a catering order for 20+ people, all with different dietary restrictions. Danny, the owner, was so kind and helpful to make sure everyone would be fed and happy -- and they were! Everyone LOVED the food, and I got compliments about it even weeks later. We got three different kinds of kimbop and topokki, and all were delicious. I came at dinner and the kimbap rolls are big enough to be a full meal for one person way bigger than your typical kimbap roll. Hidden gem! We ordered combo #4 and it was soooo much food for 2 people. Very worth the price. The soy garlic chicken was crispy, flavorful and overall extremely good. The kimbop sizes are very big and you can tell they're not stingy with their portions. Lastly, their topokki was surprisingly very good. We got the creamy rose topokki and I thought I didn't like rose flavor from previous experiences but I actually really really enjoyed it. It wasn't too spicy, it wasn't too creamy, it was the perfect flavor. I would 1000% come again! Highly recommend for people who crave Korean street food for great prices :) read more

Small shop in the corner of a Ktown plaza that offers Korean street food. I've had their original and their rose tteokbokki, and I will say, neither one blew me away but the portions are huge! Best kimbap for the buck! I love the stuffing ratio to the rice! Little rice and lots of stuffing!! The service was so nice that I was comfortable enough to film myself eating. It was delicious. I got Rose mala tteokboki, shrimp tempura roll and avocado veggy roll and my favorite was surprisingly the avocado veggy roll! The avocado and egg was so creamy just slightly sweet that it worked. Overall if I don't want to cook and you want to eat healthy this is a good quick and go! They got a good selection of protein and veggies! read more

Excellent customer service. The owner was very attentive to our needs and would check up on us now and then. The food was decent. We ordered a chicken and Kimbap combo. The chicken was freshly made. Although the chicken was a little salty for us due to our taste overall it was pretty good. I personally liked the kimbap a lot. The roll was big and I loved the flavor combination. One of the best Gimbap we've ever had. My gf and I were actually talking about it as we were eating and how potentially this place tastes better than the many places we had in South Korea. Highly recommend if anyone is around the area and is craving for a snack. We got the spicy pork which was a 5/5 and currently am waiting for our second roll as we are not from around the area but are curious as to what the tuna k-pepper mayo tastes like. Wow! I just got takeout and the food was piping hot even when I got home. Not to mention so DELICIOUS! I got the buldak rose noodle kimchi style with no pork and honey soy wings and both are phenomenal so flavorful and fresh tasting. The portions are HUGE so if you thought it was pricier you're getting what you paid for and more in taste. My fiancé usually hates cucumbers, but even he loves them in this dish. I've also tried the popcorn chicken, spicy shrimp dumplings, and grass jelly. I found the rest of these a little underwhelming, but I think that may come down more to my personal taste than the quality of the food. Regardless, I will continue coming back for those dan dan noodles.

If you've been seeing the KINGBOP hype all over social media, I can honestly say it's definitely worth trying at least once.. This place went viral for a reason because the food is seriously delicious !!! Just be prepared for a LONG wait !!! Every time I've tried coming here, it's been completely packed... I went on a Sunday afternoon and ended up waiting about two and a half hours total between standing in line, ordering at the kiosk, and waiting for the food to come out... The line was literally stretched through the parking lot.. One thing to know is that they do offer online ordering, but they get so busy that they often shut it off just to keep up with the walk-in crowd... The restaurant itself is pretty small, and if you order to-go, they usually ask you not to wait inside so the tables stay open for dine-in customers... I ordered the variety pack with three crunchy tacos, and they were phenomenal. Super crispy, flavorful, crunchy, fresh, and honestly worth the hype. I already knew that's what I wanted, so I didn't try many other menu items, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing... The tacos alone would make me come back again. I also tried the strawberry matcha tea, and unfortunately, that was the one thing I wouldn't recommend. It was overly concentrated, grainy, and just not mixed very well. Another thing to note is that the sauces cost extra, around $2 for a small sauce, which felt a little pricey considering the tacos themselves aren't cheap either... Still, overall, the food quality absolutely delivers. If you go, I'd highly recommend checking whether online ordering is open first because waiting over two hours for food is definitely extreme... But once you finally take that first bite, you'll understand why this place stays so busy.. I'll definitely be back !!! read more

I had the pleasure of dining at Kingbop and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the topoki, kimbop, sottok, and corn cheese--it was cooked to perfection and bursting with unique flavors. The service was outstanding! I finally got to try their Kimbap and rose topokki and it was wow did not disappoint! I ordered for catering for my co workers and they were the best Kimbap i've ever had in my life. Flavorful, unique, and super satisfying. The owner was very nice and helpful, walking me through the menu and recommending great options. This place is a hidden gem in LA! The prices are super affordable, and the service is always friendly and fast. They have some of the best Korean BBQ dishes around--tasty, filling, and cheap! I came to kingbop to try the viral taco. The owner recommend the beef belly favor And it was soooo good. When I saw those videos and pictures, I didn't think these tacos are this big. THEY ARE HUGE ! The amount of beef belly was generous but I actually really liked the bottom part. The bottom was unexpectedly satisfying . I wasn't feeling well and decided to eat at Kingbop. The server noticed I was under the weather and kindly brought me hot soup. It was such a thoughtful gesture and exactly what I needed!
