What an awkward dinner. We arrived at around 11:15 got seated right away. They mentioned 12am would be last call because they close at 1. They didn't come to take orders u til about 15 minutes later. After placing our 1st order, they probably checked in once. They would drop our orders off one by one avoiding all eye contact. Super weird. Food was good and fresh but the service was pretty bad. We got the initially chance to order, plus another because we had to wave them down. They brought the tab over at 12 because the kitchen was closed. Also, we got there to a valet. It's been a while since I had KBBQ so I was really looking king forward to it. We got the premium AYCE and the quality of the meat was terrible. We ordered the wagyu beef belly and l don't even know what it was when they brought it to us. I've had wagyu many times before so I know the marble its supposed to have but it didn't. And it okay, I get it but the quality was so bad. It was not fresh! It had that meat taste like walked into the old/hot meat market. We ordered the scallops and I think it was that when it came(I didn't even eat it) scallops with cheese?!? Gross. I should of know when I saw the panchan. First time trying TGI Korean BBQ, and it definitely won't be my last! The quality of the meats was excellent, with everything tasting fresh, flavorful, and coming out quickly. The variety on the menu made it easy to try a little bit of everything, and every order was just as good as the last. The service was outstanding--our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we always had what we needed, from changing the grill to bringing out refills and additional orders promptly. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was lively, and it was a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Only thing that was off was the max meats and sides were 3 for a party of 5. The meat came out quickly but slowed how much we can eat compared to the 5 meats and 5 sides that other KBBQs have. We came for the outdoor experience but unfortunately they close the patio a few hours before closing. Since we were already here we decided to stay put and it didn't dissapoint. Food was great. Service took awhile for them to get to us with getting an order in and understand they were really busy and we were in the corner, but we were starving. They were all very nice! Just had to get their attention. Food was decent; I've been to ones where you're able to get more choices for the $46 tier we got. We only could get one order of LA Galbi and only came with 2 pieces which I thought was a rip off. Either add a couple more or we should get 2 orders. Some of the marinades were too sweet and the prime sirloin and marinated beef short rib were SOO chewy and would never order again. The glass noodles we got were okay. The best were the LA Galbi, Giant beef rib, and marinated rib fingers. We also got the bulgogi quesadilla which was pretty good, sauce was a little spicy. To start with the fact I knew nothing of TGI Korean BBQ, prior to being invited to go out with some friends and their guests. The price difference between the top tier and mid tier is pretty steep, and the majority of our group didn't need the AYCE lobster. The meat selection was still pretty good. Everything we ordered was tasty and good portions for trying eat cut of meat. If you find something you like, order a couple orders. The staff were pretty attentive and provided good service. Although when it came to valet parking I was Leary after seeing the review of a dented fender. So as I watched my car go, it wasn't too confident building when he was squealing the tires taking the turn kind of fast. So self park if you are worried about your car. I just didn't appreciate the valet gunning my car down the street. As for the dinning experience, it was comfortable and typical noise levels when you have big groups sitting so close to one another and no dividers. Overall, I didn't mind it, but would probably not bring my parents who wear hearing aids as they probably wouldn't be able to hear me talking to them. Now with a group of friends, great place to eat. Wow wow wow! My bestie and I specifically came out to LA just to try this place, and it fulfilled all my lobster dreams! Ordered the luxury AYCE which comes with unlimited lobster. The lobsters were the perfect size, juicy and sweet. I had to order 3. Their prime sirloin is something I also highly recommend. Perfectly fatty and delicious. Beef tartare was a different take. I believe they used gochujang which wasn't really for me but my bestie really enjoyed it. Their galbi tang was comforting and a great soup option with our food. They have a broad menu to choose from and the service was attentive and friendly. Note that they do have valet parking if needed. I had a quality experience overall at this K-Bbq restaurant. Went on a Sunday afternoon with a party of 4 and was seated right away. They have various all you can eat options to choose from depending on the cuts of meat and side options you would like. We had the $37.99 option and ordered beef brisket, marinated chicken, beef Bugolgi, and short rib. Everything as absolutely delicious! They only bring out three meats at a time to help pace you out. The quality of the meat was not worth the price, but what can you expect from AYCE. The pork jowl had the weird meat smell even after cooking so we had to return our second order of it to the kitchen. The rib finger was so salty. The meat was overall mid, most of them were a white-ish color instead of red which already made me skeptical. And the service was terrible. The meats were surprisingly good quality, with minimal excess fat, which I really appreciated. The banchan selection is a bit sparse (you have to specifically ask for kimchi), but the cucumber kimchi was so fresh that I couldn't stop eating it. I also loved their chef specials, especially the corn cheese dip. We even tossed some of the leftover corn into our cheese fondue on the grill to make our own corn cheese. Parking was super easy with $3 valet, which was a great start. The space is huge with tons of indoor and outdoor seating, so it didn't feel crowded at all. We went with the Luxury AYCE tier ($85 per person), and it was definitely worth it for the unlimited lobster and tiger shrimp. Both were cooked perfectly! Flavorful, tender, and not overdone. Free parking is available at the small parking lot right by the restaurant, but you're basically parking in front of another car. During dinner is when they start charging around $3 for parking. Seating: Only indoor seating during lunchtime. Both outdoor and indoor seating is provided during dinner. TGI Luxury Ayce $84.99 per person. So worth to get the unlimited steamed lobster. It's so good to the point you don't need the butter or lemon wedge. Beef Tartare: Would not recommend, the beef texture tastes a bit more freeze dried, but the sliced Korean pear is excellent. Wagyu Beef Belly: The best sliced meat platter compared to beef brisket and beef belly. Giant Beef Rib: This takes the longest to cook and it's really how to cut the meat from the bone. However, we got there and the price was like $85 so we opted for the premium option instead. As far as the meats go, they were solid. My favorites were the tomahawk, rib finger and beef tongue. Other than that, nothing was memorable. The banchan were lacking. You pretty much had to order all the banchan since nothing came to the table unless you ordered. It took forever to get some of the dishes. What was the worse was probably the service and the ambiance itself. Service was lacking. Server looked like he did not want to be there. Honestly, no complaints. Sat down in less than 5 minutes. Very honest, we arrived around 9:30 pm on a Sunday and they stayed we have 1 hour until last call. Me and my boyfriend was fine with that. We picked option Premium for 2. I will say food came out fast. I wish they had more sauces but, their house sauce was good! When I say we left full! Come back to TGI over other places because of their delicious and well done appetizers or as they call it, chef's menu items. I came back specifically for their steamed egg and soondubu, and while here, I enjoyed the premium menu at 45.99. I come to TGI because the accessible price point and the still solid quality of meat allows me to just come and enjoy the flavors of their various appetizers while enjoying more meat options than I would eat in an a la carte. Lily, the manager, was AMAZING. She understood my situation and was incredibly helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. The night ended up being so much fun. The menu includes a ton of meat varieties and sides which I think is superior to some of the other kbbq spots in ktown. I had a really frustrating experience with Victor at TGI Korean BBQ on 4/26 at 1 PM. We came in as two separate parties of four. Even though we arrived together, we made it very clear that we had separate reservations because my group did not want to do the lobster option, just the regular meat menu. Despite explaining this multiple times, Victor refused to seat us. He said they were concerned we might share between tables, which didn't make sense given that we intentionally booked separately for that exact reason. We even offered to sit on completely opposite sides of the restaurant, and they still wouldn't accommodate us. What made the situation worse was that I hadn't eaten all day and was genuinely starving, so being turned away like that felt completely unreasonable. On top of that, I mentioned I have a shellfish allergy, and instead of taking that seriously, they implied I would need proof before being seated. Which is honestly shocking and inappropriate. Overall, the experience felt unnecessarily difficult and poorly handled. It didn't seem like they were trying to work with us at all, despite us following their reservation rules.
