18% gratuity included for party of 6

We came for the outdoor experience but unfortunately they close the patio a few hours before closing. Since we were already here we decided to stay put and it didn't dissapoint. Food was great. Didn't feel bloated afterwards. 18% gratuity included for a party of 6. Parking is hideous in ktown (per usual) so their $3 valet is well worth it. Staff was a little slow. We had to constantly flag them down and ask about our orders.

To start with the fact I knew nothing of TGI Korean BBQ, prior to being invited to go out with some friends and their guests. The price difference between the top tier and mid tier is pretty steep, and the majority of our group didn't need the AYCE lobster. The meat selection was still pretty good. Everything we ordered was tasty and good portions for trying eat cut of meat. If you find something you like, order a couple orders. The staff were pretty attentive and provided good service. Although when it came to valet parking I was Leary after seeing the review of a dented fender. So as I watched my car go, it wasn't too confident building when he was squealing the tires taking the turn kind of fast. So self park if you are worried about your car. I just didn't appreciate the valet gunning my car down the street. As for the dinning experience, it was comfortable and typical noise levels when you have big groups sitting so close to one another and no dividers. Overall, I didn't mind it, but would probably not bring my parents who wear hearing aids as they probably wouldn't be able to hear me talking to them. Now with a group of friends, great place to eat. Hahaha.... I would definitely go back again.

Wow wow wow! My bestie and I specifically came out to LA just to try this place, and it fulfilled all my lobster dreams! Ordered the luxury AYCE which comes with unlimited lobster. The lobsters were the perfect size, juicy and sweet. I had to order 3. Their prime sirloin is something I also highly recommend. Perfectly fatty and delicious. Beef tartare was a different take. I believe they used gochujang which wasn't really for me but my bestie really enjoyed it. Their galbi tang was comforting and a great soup option with our food. They have a broad menu to choose from and the service was attentive and friendly. Note that they do have valet parking if needed. I would definitely come back again to satisfy my lobster cravings as it is well worth the price with their premium meats and extensive menu.

The food was fresh and delicious. The servers were super attentive and friendly. And there was lots of banchan to choose from. The place was lively and enjoyable. Initially I was a little worried because 1) we were trying a new place. 2) I had read other reviews where its mentioned the service was lacking. Suffice it to say I am so glad that was not our experience. We made reservations for a table for 9. They don't sit you til the entire group is there. We were missing 2 ppl but as soon as we were ready, we were acknowledged and sat almost immediately. They brought out the starter banchan and we started with brisket, bulgogi and rib finger. The meat was fresh! They have additional sides made to order and the KFC (korean fried chicken), yum! Our group was we very happy with this spot

I had a quality experience overall at this K-Bbq restaurant. Went on a Sunday afternoon with a party of 4 and was seated right away. They have various all you can eat options to choose from depending on the cuts of meat and side options you would like. We had the $37.99 option and ordered beef brisket, marinated chicken, beef Bugolgi, and short rib. Everything as absolutely delicious! They only bring out three meats at a time to help pace you out. They make sure to come around often to switch out your grill as well. The sake was pretty good too! Solid spot for the value and quality!

Parking was super easy with $3 valet, which was a great start. The space is huge with tons of indoor and outdoor seating, so it didn't feel crowded at all. We went with the Luxury AYCE tier ($85 per person), and it was definitely worth it for the unlimited lobster and tiger shrimp. Both were cooked perfectly! Flavorful, tender, and not overdone. We definitely got our money's worth. The meats were also great quality, and the honey glazed sweet potatoes were a standout from the extras! Service was amazing! Our server was fast, attentive, and made the experience even better. Overall, such a great experience and we'll definitely be coming back.

    Glass Noodles - pretty good

Service took awhile for them to get to us with getting an order in and understand they were really busy and we were in the corner, but we were starving. They were all very nice! Just had to get their attention. Food was decent; I've been to ones where you're able to get more choices for the $46 tier we got. We only could get one order of LA Galbi and only came with 2 pieces which I thought was a rip off. Either add a couple more or we should get 2 orders. Some of the marinades were too sweet and the prime sirloin and marinated beef short rib were SOO chewy and would never order again. The glass noodles we got were okay. The best were the LA Galbi, Giant beef rib, and marinated rib fingers. We also got the bulgogi quesadilla which was pretty good, sauce was a little spicy. Overall it wasn't the best experience, but not terrible either. For me the food is where the issue was..it fell short for being good quality overall especially when paying more and one LIMITED is so chewy you just swollen out of being over chewing I will say the $3 valet was amazing and super nice guys.

I'm really glad this is one of the few spots in K-Town that offers an AYCE KBBQ lunch deal on weekends--$30 felt reasonable. The meats were surprisingly good quality, with minimal excess fat, which I really appreciated. The banchan selection is a bit sparse (you have to specifically ask for kimchi), but the cucumber kimchi was so fresh that I couldn't stop eating it. I also loved their chef specials, especially the corn cheese dip. We even tossed some of the leftover corn into our cheese fondue on the grill to make our own corn cheese. My only major suggestion would be better ventilation. Without vents above the tables, the AC kept blowing burnt BBQ smoke toward my partner, so he constantly had to readjust his seat.

Amazing food!! Everything was flavorful and fresh!! Coming back for more every time in LA

    Meghan A.

Out of all the KBBQ spots I've been to, TGI will always be my #1 place to go to! The meat is so juicy and tender, the side dishes are always delicious, and they even hand out complementary (coffee flavored cookie) dessert! So many seats ranging from inside to outside! And staff are so attentive, sometimes they'll even help you cook the meat and give tips to have the best results. This place is on the pricey side of kbbq but because of how good this place is, it's definitely worthwhile.

TGI Korean BBQ Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - TGI Korean BBQ

How much is lunch and dinner?

I would bring around $60 per person to be safe for dinner.

Can a party of 4 order different AYCE menu?

I think everyone at the table has to order the same one

I don't understand the menu. How can it be AYCE but some of the items are limited?

Some of the items are considered premium choices so even though it’s all-you-can-eat, the restaurant limits them to one order to keep things balanced. Otherwise, everyone would just keep asking for the most expensive stuff.

The all you can eat lobster you serve it your self or have to wait for the waiter to bring it to you and it's there a limit?

they bring it to you one at a time, but no limit. Came pretty fast too. Someone at my party had 8.

How much is AYCE include lobster?

    69.99 per person

Is a dog allowed to patio seat?

    No.

Where is a good place to park late at night?

There is $3 valet parking. You can try to find street parking but it's in a residential area, might be hard to do late at night

Our reservation's for 2 necessary on the weekend?

Nah. They have Yelp Waitlist so just join when you're nearby and ready to dine there. I've been on weekends, party of 3 and waited no more than 10 minutes max.

    Is outdoor dining still available?

    Yes it is!

Is it all you can eat and drink?

There are 2 options. AYCE or specific dishes with listed prices.

I see only large groups can make reservations and a "large group" starts at 5 people? If a party of 2 comes in will you be able to seat us?

Is this older-folk friendly? I.e., is there loud Kpop blasting?

    Is outdoor dining still available?

    Yes still available :)

Is this place good for vegetarians?

While they have a vegan AYCE menu, they don't allow ordering ONLY the vegan option. There must be orders of meat so unfortunately you can't come here to dine solo vegan or with an entire vegan party, which is confusing.

Does anyone know what that red chili sauce they use is called? it's delicious.

    Sambal Oelek

Do you pay 37.99 a person plus the plates (15$) or is it a set price?

It's set all you can eat

Where do they take the cars for the valet? Just curious. The mini lot fits 6 cars!

TGI rents private parking garage with gate nearby restaurant for valet service.

Can we make a reservation for 2 people?

we only take large groups of reservations up to 4or more to make a table. we takes walk in as well. Since we have large capacity seats, no longer wait time. Usually less then 15mins in weekends.

How much is it for a meal for a group of 6 people and are we able to cook it our selfs or do they come and cook it for us?

Each table has a own grill which able to cook your selfs. AYCE is charge by per person that option you interested.

They're located in a very busy area of Koreatown, so street parking is very difficult to find. If you aren't finding any spot after circling around endlessly, just do valet parking, which was cheap and easy. The Spicy Seafood and Chicken Kalguksu were so good and comforting! Both soups were tasty and I was very satisfied with all the ingredients included in the Kalguksu. As a noodle lover, the noodles also hit the spot definitely hit the spot. The Spicy Seafood Kalguksu also wasn't terribly spicy, so I would definitely recommend it if you can indulge in some spice. We also ordered the Medium Bossam and that really completed the meal. The pork belly was very tender and delicious and is so good wrapped with the napa cabbage, radish kimchi, and garlic. There is also some dipping sauces for it. I definitely recommend also ordering the Bossam! Overall, I enjoyed everything we had here! The portions were perfect for our party of four and we were fully satisfied after our meal.

I love noodles, so I knew I wanted to get their kalguksu or sujebi which is basically hand-torn kalguksu in ripped piece form. I love that the sujebi came with kabocha, potato, and some green veg. You literally don't have to order anything else besides the dish. The kalguksu looks like it's shared and recommended with 2+ parties. This place was filled with families, duos, and larger groups, so I think it must be more of a place to share. I came for a later lunch on a Friday, and just like the yelp revs said it was full and busy but not completely packed. I didn't have to wait for a single small table for one. The service is fast and the staff are so friendly and attentive. I'm glad I finally dined here, but would def only come back with a larger group.

The ambiance was lovely and perfect for a date night. The dining room felt dark, intimate, and cozy, and I especially loved the little candle on the table. It was a small touch, but it made the experience feel warm and special. We ordered the perilla oil noodle, scallop pancake, pork jowl, and hwaechae milk to share. The perilla oil noodle had a strong perilla aroma which I loved, but beyond that it didn't really taste like much. It wasn't bad but it's probably the one dish I'd skip next time. The scallop pancake was great. It was crispy, packed with scallops, and the dipping sauce complemented it really well. The pork jowl was easily our favorite dish of the night. It was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with all of the accompanying condiments. Every bite felt balanced and well thought out. The hwaechae milk was also delicious and refreshing. It was a fun drink to share and a nice contrast to the richer dishes. While the food was good overall, the portions felt pretty small for the price point. Everything tasted good but it was hard not to notice how quickly the dishes disappeared given what we paid. Maybe it was just the specific dishes we ordered but considering Danbi is on the Michelin Guide, I was expecting bolder and more memorable flavors. Korean cuisine is known for being vibrant and packed with flavor so I left feeling a little underwhelmed. Nothing we had was bad but aside from the pork jowl there wasn't a dish that really wowed me. To end the meal, the staff brought us a yuzu popsicle topped with a birthday candle, which ended up being my favorite part of the entire night. The popsicle was perfectly tangy, refreshing, and honestly more memorable than any of the dishes we ordered. It made the celebration feel thoughtful without being over the top. Overall, we had a great experience. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was attentive, and it was a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion even though it was a bit overhyped given the small portions, high prices, and flavors that didn't quite live up to my expectations. I'd still come back to try the steak tartare, uni bibimbap, and the zabuton!

We also got an additional order of LA kalbi for some protein. The meat quality was good but I felt like the meat was not marinated long enough and so the flavor was a little bit lacking. If only it just sat in the marinade for a couple more hours, I think this would have been perfect. The tofu soup was not my favorite, to be very honest. There was some flavor in there that made it smell like a stinky towel. Very different from other soondubu soup places and unfortunately not for me. Everything else we had was excellent and I would definitely come back again just for the barley rice and banchan. Service was quick and servers were nice. We also came at 3pm on Saturday so there was no wait. Recommended!

It's a lot of food for the price ($35 pp at this writing). While the minimum order is for 2 people, we've tried sharing the 2-people order among 3 and it worked for us, with addition of a couple of other items from the menu. The Korean BBQ beef is at par with most other nice restaurants in K town; their marinated crab was delicious! Service is okay - given how busy they are! Most servers are not very conversant in English so a little patience would help you get the right things you need. Nice and unique vibe with Korean handicraft items and art work on display (and for sale, I believe).

In fact, we regularly brought visitors here. They raved about how good the spare ribs were and even insisted that their last meal before LA should be at Ham Ji Park.  Here's my belated review of what I consider the best spare ribs in LA. From the moment the Korean-style spare ribs arrived at the table, it was clear this was a dish worth savoring. Each rib bore a beautifully charred exterior--deeply caramelized without a hint of bitterness--offering that irresistible smoky aroma the moment it was placed before us. The glaze was nothing short of spectacular. A perfect balance of sweet and spicy, it clung to the meat with a glossy sheen that promised flavor in every bite. There was just enough heat to make your taste buds sit up and pay attention, but it never overwhelmed the deeper, richer notes of the sweet components. But what truly set these ribs apart was the texture. Beneath the charred surface lay meat so tender it practically fell off the bone with the gentlest tug of a fork. Each bite was juicy and succulent, the result of careful cooking and a respect for quality ingredients. Ham Ji Park, you will be missed. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the food.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
