The banchan spread had a few items i hadn't had elsewhere before, such as the rice noodle squares (I think that's what they are) and large slices of pickled radish. These were perfect to use to wrap pieces of meat. Everything we tried was delicious! For ayce I believe the time limit is 2 hours. The grill was different from the ones I've seen at other Kbbq, it looked like some sort of stone material. Throughout our meal the waitress would clean the grill, not just scraping off the stuck bits but also using water to clean it. I felt this really improved the eating experience. Service was great! All the employees we interacted with were friendly. Our waitress came by often to check on us and get additional meat orders, as well as to cook the meat. Hae Jang Chon is the way to go if you're looking for some quality Korean barbecue for AYCE! This spot is known for their traditional flat stone than the metal grill that you see at other spots. We got reservations for a Monday night and it was a little more than half capacity. We were 5 people at 7pm. When we got in, we were welcomed right away with a table set up with our side dishes, plates with sauces and utensils. There were at least 6-7 different side dishes like garlic spinach, kimchi, spicy cucumbers, bean sprouts, mashed potatoes, spicy fish cakes and bean sprouts. We ordered a bunch of items including the Beef tongue, Beef brisket, Marinated short rib (Galbi), Pork Jowl and Chicken. The beef tongue was by far the tastiest because it was not overly marinated. I liked the pork jowl too because of its chewiness and you can grill it longer to make it crispy. The marinated short ribs were good too. Since the servers cook the meats for you, and when they cook the ribs, they take the bone off too! We requested the bone in since it makes the meat tastier! For sides, we also order the salad and some cheesy corn. The salad was refreshing. Unfortunately the cheesy corn was a bit too creamy for me. I think less cream and more cheese would have made it better. All, don't skip out on the kimchi fried rice at the end. They toss in some rice, sour kimchi, seaweed and cheese. We found ourselves here for a late-night meal. We had a large party of 8, so the wait was over an hour and a half. Once we were seated, we were able to order right away. We kept a rotation of brisket, pork belly, and bulgogi going. The selection of banchan and dipping sauces was great, and the servers were very attentive, keeping our drinks and banchan refilled, reordering meats, and cleaning the grill. I will say, if you order marinated meats, I'd advise saving them until the end since the stone grill cleaning process is a bit lengthy. I first visited Hae Jang Chon back around 2012, and we've returned every few years since. I'm happy to say that on a recent visit, everything was just as delicious as I remembered. We made a reservation in advance for a group of eight on a Saturday night, and the two-hour dining window starts once you're seated. Valet parking is $5 as of April 2026, but the lot was full when we arrived, so we ended up finding street parking instead. The meat quality is excellent, and the staff did most of the cooking for us on a stone grill. They even cleaned the grill a couple of times using shredded turnips. Service was friendly and attentive, they were quick to bring more meat, banchan, and drinks whenever we needed them. Our favorites were the marinated galbi, bulgogi, and brisket. Prices have definitely gone up since the COVID era, but at $44 for dinner, it still feels like a solid value considering the unlimited banchan, good-quality meat, and great service. Service is great, they refill your waters on the regular and they Their meats are fresh and their portions are decent sized. They have the usual sides: kimchi, spinach, spicy cucumber, spicy bean sprouts and potato salad. You can ask for other sides such as cheese corn, salad, steamed egg, soybean paste soup, radish wraps, etc. You can also ask for garlic and onions. The brisket, beef belly, the rib fingers and the non marinated short ribs are the best options in my opinion. The outstanding marbling on the meats indicates they are truly high in quality. This is my favorite kbbq spot in ktown. I've been coming here for more than a decade now and the quality never disappoints. I still remember the saying "radish, used for cleaning" from many years ago. Meat quality is very good for an AYCE and I love the marinade they use. It tastes not as sweet as other kbbq spots and boosts the umami flavor in the meat. Their non-marinated meats are also cut thinly so it's never too chewy or tough. Overall, best bang for your buck AYCE kbbq. The only issues are wait time and $4 valet parking which I will always dislike. Just celebrated a dear friend's bday here in a large party of 15. When you have a large party even if you make a reservation if every person in your party is not there they will kindly tell you we'll have to wait for the entire party to get here to seat you. This totally makes sense because the restaurant wants to make sure they can give you the full service they can offer for the entire party you claim. Once we sat we were serviced with the banchan (side dishes) right away. Then the all you can eat ordering of the meats came flowing.
