My boyfriend found street parking after circling around a few times. I think it ended up being a 50 minute wait til my name was called. The place was popping and full of full enjoying their food. They would turn up the music or it was a specific song to celebrate someone's birthday. It can be really loud. We were seated at a table at the corner which was very cozy. Service here is both attentive, but sometimes you still need to wave at them to get their attention. I remember that our server was already walking away while we were still talking to him a few times. I get that they're busy, but it's a little annoying if I'm ordering and you're walking away from us. Valet parking right in front. The banchan spread was solid - potato salad, kimchi, cucumber, bean sprouts, fish cakes, and so much more - all fresh and tasty. The meat was premium quality - beef brisket, pork belly, steak, shrimp, beef hotdog, and others. Why did that hotdog taste so good? High quality ingredients across the board. We tried everything from beef tongue, beef belly, steak, marinated Galbi, to the kimchi pancake, corn cheese, and kimchi fried rice. Everything was high quality and there was a big selection of sauces. The servers were super attentive with refills and placed/cooked items on the grill for us. I first visited Hae Jang Chon back around 2012, and we've returned every few years since. I'm happy to say that on a recent visit, everything was just as delicious as I remembered. We made a reservation in advance for a group of eight on a Saturday night, and the two-hour dining window starts once you're seated. Valet parking is $5 as of April 2026, but the lot was full when we arrived, so we ended up finding street parking instead. The meat quality is excellent, and the staff did most of the cooking for us on a stone grill. They even cleaned the grill a couple of times using shredded turnips. Service was friendly and attentive, they were quick to bring more meat, banchan, and drinks whenever we needed them. Our favorites were the marinated galbi, bulgogi, and brisket. Prices have definitely gone up since the COVID era, but at $44 for dinner, it still feels like a solid value considering the unlimited banchan, good-quality meat, and great service. We also brought a birthday cake, and they played a celebration song over the speakers, which added to the fun atmosphere. The K-pop playlist was a bonus, too. They raised the price a lot since the last time I came! I haven't been here in years and I remember this place being affordable. Price is steep now at $43 per person for dinner and weekends. I looked back on Yelp photos and it was $30 five years ago. i don't think people's wage went up 50% in the last 5 years. They have valet parking. They have the usual sides: kimchi, spinach, spicy cucumber, spicy bean sprouts and potato salad. You can ask for other sides such as cheese corn, salad, steamed egg, soybean paste soup, radish wraps, etc. You can also ask for garlic and onions. I tried their soybean paste soup and it was probably the best I've tasted outside of when I make it at home - a smooth texture with cut up potatoes and zucchini. Even though we were quoted a 30 minute wait, it honestly flew by, and once inside we appreciated how spacious and comfortable the place was. This is my favorite kbbq spot in ktown. I've been coming here for more than a decade now and the quality never disappoints. I still remember the saying "radish, used for cleaning" from many years ago. Meat quality is very good for an AYCE and I love the marinade they use. It tastes not as sweet as other kbbq spots and boosts the umami flavor in the meat. Their non-marinated meats are also cut thinly so it's never too chewy or tough. Overall, best bang for your buck AYCE kbbq. The only issues are wait time and $4 valet parking which I will always dislike. Constantly checking on your table, refilling waters, rice paper, radish and your dipping sauces without needing to ask. They are the real stars and they treat you like family. The entire dining experience reflects a positive vibe and their entire staff displays a positive attitude which shows they enjoy working together. The brisket, beef belly, the rib fingers and the non marinated short ribs are the best options in my opinion. The outstanding marbling on the meats indicates they are truly high in quality. When you have a large party even if you make a reservation if every person in your party is not there they will kindly tell you we'll have to wait for the entire party to get here to seat you. This totally makes sense because the restaurant wants to make sure they can give you the full service they can offer for the entire party you claim. Once we sat we were serviced with the banchan (side dishes) right away. Then the all you can eat ordering of the meats came flowing. It remains one of my favorite options to this day, and I recently had another great dinner here during a visit! They call out names that have been added to a list in the restaurant as tables become available, so be sure to stay nearby! The KBBQ itself here is GREAT - premium cuts of meat that always cook very well. I also love some of the side items, such as the corn cheese and steamed egg bowl, always bubbling hot and super soothing going down. I also appreciate that the service here is efficient while still being attentive - they don't hover, but will come by and help you out with cooking the meats or add some char to the top of items like the corn cheese.
