    3. Beef Brisket

We found ourselves here for a late-night meal. We had a large party of 8, so the wait was over an hour and a half. Once we were seated, we were able to order right away. We kept a rotation of brisket, pork belly, and bulgogi going. The selection of banchan and dipping sauces was great, and the servers were very attentive, keeping our drinks and banchan refilled, reordering meats, and cleaning the grill. I will say, if you order marinated meats, I'd advise saving them until the end since the stone grill cleaning process is a bit lengthy. They use a few bowls of shredded radish to soak up the marinade and oil before cleaning the stone itself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was very lively and celebratory, with lots of birthdays and big groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely a great place for good vibes! Everything tasted great. I'd definitely come back if I'm in K-town. Despite the long wait, I'd say it was worth it!

My friends and I were craving Korean food the other night, and one of the girls suggested this place. Since we live in the Valley, we were hesitant to make the drive because it was quite far, but it was absolutely worth it! Parking was valet only, and it was just $5. We walked in, put our name on the waitlist, and were seated after about 45 minutes on a Wednesday night. We ordered beef belly, steak, kalbi, and more, and everything was delicious. Our server was outstanding--she even helped cook our food for us, which made the experience even better. While it was a bit pricier than other Korean BBQ spots, the quality of the meat was top-notch. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

New fav kbbq spot in ktown! Stands out for its quality meats, stone grill, and great service! I loved the variety of sides and meat cuts here. We tried everything from beef tongue, beef belly, steak, marinated Galbi, to the kimchi pancake, corn cheese, and kimchi fried rice. Everything was high quality and there was a big selection of sauces. The servers were super attentive with refills and placed/cooked items on the grill for us. Not very common at ayce kbbq, but I loved the princess treatment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is cozy and bustling with people and servers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are wooden booths and tables with stone grills in the middle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The stone grills made the bbq meat taste delicious and cook evenly. At the end, when you're done grilling meats, the server will cook a little kimchi fried rice on the grill too. Highly recommend!

Our monthly K-town BBQ run with Jazmine and Maylinh brought us to Hae Jang Chon, and wow, this place did not disappoint! We came on a Saturday and walked in just after 12 noon before the lunch rush. Valet parking right in front. The banchan spread was solid - potato salad, kimchi, cucumber, bean sprouts, fish cakes, and so much more - all fresh and tasty. The meat was premium quality - beef brisket, pork belly, steak, shrimp, beef hotdog, and others. Why did that hotdog taste so good? High quality ingredients across the board. I came hungry and left beyond satisfied. Service was stellar, the staff cooks for you and everything was cooked to perfection. They were attentive and quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was busy, energetic, people clearly enjoying their meals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love this place and will absolutely be back. Heck, maybe even tomorrow. Love this place!

I first visited Hae Jang Chon back around 2012, and we've returned every few years since. I'm happy to say that on a recent visit, everything was just as delicious as I remembered. We made a reservation in advance for a group of eight on a Saturday night, and the two-hour dining window starts once you're seated. Valet parking is $5 as of April 2026, but the lot was full when we arrived, so we ended up finding street parking instead. The meat quality is excellent, and the staff did most of the cooking for us on a stone grill. They even cleaned the grill a couple of times using shredded turnips. Service was friendly and attentive, they were quick to bring more meat, banchan, and drinks whenever we needed them. Our favorites were the marinated galbi, bulgogi, and brisket. Prices have definitely gone up since the COVID era, but at $44 for dinner, it still feels like a solid value considering the unlimited banchan, good-quality meat, and great service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We also brought a birthday cake, and they played a celebration song over the speakers, which added to the fun atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The K-pop playlist was a bonus, too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just be sure to come hungry and you'll definitely leave satisfied.

Solid loved it!!! Came here before a dodger game and omg it was so good!! We carpooled with friends and this was their second time here. They loved it so they wanted to eat here again. Very nice options for everyone of course. The even had hot dogs?! I dont go to kbbq much so I thought it was great! The creamed corn was so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also open all the doors and windows for proper circulation and tha helped not smell like kbbq all day hahah.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I barely took pics bc we all just dug in. I'd be back!

They raised the price a lot since the last time I came! I haven't been here in years and I remember this place being affordable. Price is steep now at $43 per person for dinner and weekends. I looked back on Yelp photos and it was $30 five years ago. i don't think people's wage went up 50% in the last 5 years. They have valet parking. They charge $5 which is fair in my opinion. it was $2 the last time i came. Came on a Saturday during dinner time. It was an hour wait. They don't have digital waitlist nor do they text you if your table is ready. Everything is on a piece of paper on a clipboard. Service was fantastic. Server was busy bringing everything we asked for and also cooking our food. They're super fast and very hard working. The food quality is great as well. Now that the pricing is almost premium, hard to recommend, but none the less food here is good.

Scouted out a kbbq place and decided to come here based on price and what meats were available. We got there as soon as they opened at 11 and were seated right away after they made up our table. Parking is $3, valet. We were there on a weekday so lunch was $37.99 a person for meats such as the beef short ribs, beef rib finger, and prime chuck among others. the servers will cook for you unless you ask to cook for yourself. Service is great, they refill your waters on the regular and they Their meats are fresh and their portions are decent sized. They have the usual sides: kimchi, spinach, spicy cucumber, spicy bean sprouts and potato salad. You can ask for other sides such as cheese corn, salad, steamed egg, soybean paste soup, radish wraps, etc. You can also ask for garlic and onions. I tried their soybean paste soup and it was probably the best I've tasted outside of when I make it at home - a smooth texture with cut up potatoes and zucchini. It's just really hot when it came out so next time I'd order it sooner than at the end of the meal. I can see this place being packed so even though there's a few benches outside, I'd sit at the coffee shop a few doors down if you've got an hour long wait.

went back to hae jang chon after years of not going and it's still just as delicious as i remember. definitely one of my favorite ayce kbbq's i like how there's only one tier for dinner menu- keeps it less stressful. my favorite is the beef belly and shrimp. their kimchi fried rice is also amazing! my only complaint is the wait time and how there's no reservation or wait list. line does move along pretty quickly but it sucks cuz you have to wait outside the restaurant to be called in parking is pretty tough. valet can get busy but luckily we went on a weekday early dinner so we were able to find street parking

    Maya M.

First time at this restaurant. The different cuts of meat and sauces were new to me, but our server, Justin, was kind enough to take the time to explain everything. The wait was honestly pretty long, but the prices were very reasonable, and I really liked that the staff grills the meat for you. Great food, great service, and overall a wonderful experience. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

    misty m.

We tried this place for the first time, and the bbq was excellent!! Top quality choice:prime meats, great service, and the waiters actually cook your meat for you! Lots of prime cuts and even with my little ole demanding self, the servers watched us like hawks and made sure anything was refilled and the meat was flipped! Steven, our server was friendly and had a sense of humor, alongside had lots of recommendations. We walked right in with no wait during lunch , though we heard towards evening time is normally a 3 hour wait, so we lucked out! Really love this place and I'll finely recommend it to my friends :)

Ask the Community - Hae Jang Chon

Do they have rice paper and radish paper?

Yes they have both on request

Do they have a "make your own sauce" station? I only see beanpaste and chili sauce in the review pictures.

As far as I know, they do not.

How much is the AYCE on a Saturday or Sunday for lunch?

Where's the best option for parking ? Thanks

They have valet parking, so you might wanna check around for a free spot if you don't wanna do valet parking.

    How much is the ayce?

The current Prices as of 12/18/25 $29.99 LUNCH Special on weekdays 11-3pm (limited meats)…

    Do they cook for you?

Yes, generally they do cook the meat for you. The table could also participate when they're tending to other diners.

Whats the difference of the lunch menus?? I see that there are two different lunch menu prices

I think the meat served, one tier has some meats that the other one doesn't have.

Do you accept reservations 2 weeks in advance?

You should call them and ask because businesses do not check Yelp pages.

Do they take reservations for a group of 7?

    Yes!

How early do we need to come on Sunday lunch for 8 people?

If you arrive in between peak hours you won't wait more than 10 to 20 minutes. Otherwise, for a party of eight during peak eating times, you'll be waiting an hour +. We showed up at 2pm for a party of 3 on a Saturday (non peak hours) and waited 15…

Do they take AMEX now? (American Express)

Yeah as of 2/27/2024, they take AMEX. Used it yesterday 👌.

    Can they sit 8 people?

Yes but depending on the time you may need to wait a while.

How much is valet parking? Do they still take Venmo?

$5 - The entire lot is valet parking only. Don't know if they take Venmo. I parked on the street.

Can a "single" diner get AYCE if arrive early?

Usually, single parties are not offered AYCE and the whole party should be present before getting seated.

Do we need to make reservation for Saturday night?

    They don't take reservations .

Do they have nengmyun? Cold noodle soup?

What's that in English? Just looked it up. Try kunjip in Santa Clara

How much is the price right now?

As of 11/26/22: $37.99 for lunch 11am to 3pm on weekdays except holidays. $43.99 for dinner 3pm to closing weekdays and all day on weekends and holidays.

Do I still need proof of vaccination?

    No, you don't.

Do you have outdoor seating? Do you take reservations for parties of 6 or more?

    Yes 6 or more

Which she handled awesomely, she refilled our drinks and even provided me a lighter and knife for the cake we brought. She was very friendly and we were glad to have her as our server. Now on to the food, they have a wonderful selection here, you got all types of chicken, im talking about orange, teriyaki, and bbq. They got sushi and sashimi, they got crab legs galore and lobster as well. U got shumai, egg rolls, and tempura shrimp. Pizza, garlic bread, I meant to take pics of it all but was too bz chowing down lol. But honestly everything was fresh and the place had ample room for our large group. Heck they got their own boba AND coffee self serve stations, it doesnt get better than that. And a chocolate fountain to boot! When we walked in we didn't notice the signs on the wall if you don't pay attention you will miss the notice as you walk in. The 10% is to help the owner offset gratuity and healthcare for the employees so you have no choice but to pay it even if you didn't see the posting on the wall. They also have a sign to say a tip is not required because of the service fee.

With the cost of groceries, gas, and dining out continuing to climb, people are looking for a place where they can get a good meal without spending a fortune. This place fits the bill. If you come before 4:00 p.m. on a weekday, lunch is around $15. That's about what you'd spend on a burger, fries, and a drink at some fast-food chains these days, except here you get an entire buffet with plenty of choices. The salad bar is well stocked and includes fresh fruit. They also have sushi rolls and nigiri. Is it sushi restaurant quality? No. But considering that one specialty roll at a sushi restaurant can cost $12-$16 by itself, it's a nice bonus. My favorite item is fried chicken. It's crispy, flavorful, and consistently juicy. I would gladly pay the lunch price just for the chicken. They also serve a very good pot roast, meaty pork ribs, and on Fridays they have a surprisingly good rib roast. Those are just a few of the highlights because there are plenty of other dishes to choose from. As for the staff, most of the employees appear to be young and may be working their first job. The cooks aren't trying to be gourmet chefs, they focus on preparing the buffet items well, and overall, they do a good job keeping the food coming despite how busy the restaurant gets. If you're looking for a fine dining experience prepared by professionally trained chefs, this probably isn't the place for you. But if your goal is to enjoy a wide variety of good food at a price that's hard to beat in today's economy, this buffet is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for a crowd, that's usually a sign they're doing something right.

We did have to wait in line before getting seated. The wait wasn't too long for our party of 7 as it took maybe 15 min or so. The food was okay. It's what you would expect from an AYCE buffet like this. It's maybe on par with the likes of Golden Corral or Hometown Buffet (from back in the day). The highlight things to eat may be the made-to-order Mongolian BBQ where you load up your bowl with veggies, protein (chicken, pork, shrimp, beef, etc), noodles, and seasonings. Hand it over to the staff cook and they hand you a pager to notify you when done. The other food highlight may be the Japanese sushi area. While not the highest quality of ingredients, it was still decent for the price of the buffet and the fact that there's a staff member making the sushi rolls consistently rather than just leaving a bunch out in a tray to get old and dry. Definitely might be an even better deal as a lunch AYCE option. But for dinner it's still nice to go to.

I ate so much shrimp, scallops, oysters, crab legs, lobster and Prime Rib that I couldn't really enjoy their in-house ice cream. I was stuffed so I had a crepe with strawberries, bananas and whipped creme. Oh no,I just realized I missed my favorite dessert, the Creme Brulee! That's okay because you're able to take a Thai Milk Tea with boba home, so I did! I was there for my birthday so they brought me a little tiramisu inspired cake, a candle and they will sing "Happy Birthday" to you! The extremely wonderful staff and the wicked Baysil Hayden Old Fashioned will keep us coming back. Hospitality is here! #mortimerthebear #rilakkuma #cafesierra #ayce #seafood #buffet

This place has the best quality crab legs out of all the buffet places I've been to so far. I prefer them warm and they were steamed well and not salty at all. I was able to enjoy the true flavors of crabs. We also loved their sashimi. My son loved the tuna so much. Their hot food section had a lot of tasty stuff like Thai chicken, stir fry beef, fried fish and calamari and so on. I also like that they have clam chowder. I wish they have more varieties of the grill section. They don't have boneless beef steaks other than marinated galbi with bones. Ice cream section was cleared out when my kids went for a second round and never got replenished before we decide not to wait anymore. It would be great if they can replenish dishes often. Ambiance is well-lit, and spacious. Overall, a very solid buffet experience and worthy of returning.

The servers were very thorough when clearing the dirty plates and refilling everyone's drinks. Unfortunately, they were less thorough when loading/unloading clean/dirty dishes. My group's table was near this area, and the sound of silverware and plates being dumped and loaded into bins and carts reoccurred every few minutes and interrupted conversations. I will split up the food into two parts, seafood and everything else. Seafood- I do not eat seafood, so I took my family's word for it. They were very satisfied with the crab legs and the crawfish. They said it was worth the 40 dollars and they filled their bellies with multiple plates. My girlfriend said the shrimp did not taste good or fresh. All of the other food- i tried most of the other items, but I honestly only enjoyed one row of selection: the stir fry area. This included chow mein, beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, and black pepper beef. This was the most flavorful and fresh set of flavors I experience during. My dinner. Also, the chicken wings were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately they needed sauce. Fuji buffet offers quite a few sauces, but none paired well with the wings. Also the restaurant provided 4 giant bottles of sauce, but they were not all labeled and they were admittedly dirty on the outside. In short- they were slippery to the point where they slide out of my grip. Also, the bottles had sauce dripping outside of them and needed to be clean. So, I decided to pass on them. The desert area was nice, but the items did not feel or taste fresh. The cream puffs were soggy and the tiramisu fell flat. Either all of these things considered 3/5 for sea food lovers. 2/5 for sea food avoiders

Not sure if they've improved or what, but it was really tasty by buffet standards and I instantly became a fan of Dimassi's despite my 2 star review from 3 years ago. Since then I've been coming here every other week lol I'm such a huge fan of the large selection of salads and vegetables they have to choose from. I love the parsley salad, cabbage, roasted vegetables, the vegetable soup, and all the onions/tomatoes they have in some of the dishes on the buffet line. I LOVE rice (wow what a surprise) but here? It's such an afterthought for me. I will gladly eat all the roasted chicken, lamb shank, kofta, etc. with all the salads and veggies. It's the healthiest buffet I've ever been to. Sure, I might finish with a few bites of rice or a falafel or two, but I always leave here feeling healthy which is crazy to say after eating a buffet. No one is getting fat off vegetables and braised lamb and chicken. Well, maybe if you eat enough of the fried chicken (which is great by the way). I'm really bummed the Anaheim Hills location closed down, but I have no problems driving over here instead! I think after my next visit I'll finally get $15 off lmao. I told you I come here way too much.

There is a bell that you have to ring in order to get one. Remember to get it! It's very tender. The salad section was great. It had a good variety of greens, and they were all dressed and seasoned very well. I liked the big cucumber salad and the kale with pita chip salad the most. The pita chips as croutons were very nice and crispy. The hummus section was awesome. My favorite one is the green one. I think it's avocado? You should try them all! Don't get filled up on it, though--save room for the meats! Besides the lamb shank, I liked the kofta and the gyro. The first batch of kofta I had was very juicy, and the second was more on the drier side. Same goes for the gyro. It was cut kind of thick and was a little dry. The garlic sauce they have went very well with it! I also got the beets, and they were my favorite item. They were sweet and tender, cooked to perfection. The cantaloupe and honeydew were both very sweet. I think that's kind of hard to come by these days. Their pudding was okay, not my favorite. I also tried the baklava, and it is definitely one of the better ones I have ever had. Definitely recommend this place, and I will come back.

I really began thinking, did I get any real value out of it...and no matter how I thought about it, I felt the end result was I overpaid for two entrees. Food was good, not exceptional, but it didn't match the price. And so today, before setting out on my rig for Oakley California, Ive decided to come back to one of San Gabriel Valley's most jam packed buffetts, and see what's changed. You walk in, there's a wait list, and on a weekday, seats filled with seniors amongst seniors, a sea of half bald Asian heads and grey hair. All I can say is, this place checks every box on a diner's list looking for true cost savings and a diverse array of dishes. The seniors have voted. The hibachi stall offering steaks, pork chops, pork bellies , Shrimp to be honest taste no less better than what Red Rock was trying to do with its grilled steaks. The sushi here is surprisingly fresh and Trumps Luxe Buffett in Ontario in terms of food freshness. They have an entire dim sum bar for brunch goers and the overall hot food bar I give it a 7/10 while giving the Cold Fruits and Desserts Bars a 9/10. Have no idea what to eat for lunch? The food is below mediocre. The drinks are watered down. The service is non-existent. (I know it's a buffet, but they're still supposed to bring you the initial drink that you order when getting seated, and also regularly clear your table of dirty plates -- neither of those happened.) The serving stations are dirty. Other diners have little regard for cleanliness or the decency not to mix serving tongs or ice cream scoopers. About the only neutral thing you can count on here is the jello - because no one can mess up jello.
