Fun place to try Brazilian style sushi. I went with my daughter and sister. We went at 6:45 on a Saturday, and it was nearly empty, but it was half full by the time we left. We opted to order a la carte, as I doubted I'd eat enough to justify AYCE. I started with the tropical sake drink. It was nice and refreshing. My sister got the blended pineapple mint drink, and it was a delight. Service was great at first but slowed down once more people trickled in. We ordered the edamame, a cucumber avocado roll, French fries, a joy topped with fried onions, tuna ceviche, sunomono, and a hot salmon roll (with pepper jelly). I thought the ceviche's seasoning was overpowered with smokiness. Otherwise, everything was delicious! I liked how refreshing the cucumber salad was with the lychee. I could taste truffle in the edamame. I know there's a lot of cream cheese on the menu, but I guess that is how the Brazilian people like it. It was an experience. I've had better meals at gas stations -- at least they don't pretend to be something they're not. Food: * The ceviche was the only thing that didn't taste like it came straight from a microwave. Everything else was pure cafeteria‑level disappointment. * The fried rice tasted exactly like a frozen steam‑pack dumped on a plate. * The edamame was microwaved into rub. * The "premium" all‑you‑can‑eat sushi was laughable. The sashimi came with hot rice and tasted like bait -- my girlfriend almost threw up. * The churros looked like they'd given up on life. Cold filling, zero flavor, absolutely depressing. Service: The communication barrier made everything harder, but the worst part was the waiter standing there staring at us while we filled out the bill. It felt like we were being watched to make sure we didn't run out on the check -- trust me, we wanted to run out on the food, not the bill. Value: This place pretends to be Brazilian‑Japanese fusion and charges Brazilian steakhouse prices, but the food quality is straight Golden Corral leftovers. On a $120 bill, we still tipped $25 because the kitchen is the real villain here. This restaurant is a solid -5/10. If I'm spending $50, I'll go to a real Brazilian steakhouse. Kingdom Sushi is a place where you roll the dice--literally. Some of what we ordered was fantastic, and some felt like it had been premade, frozen, shipped on horseback, and thawed in time for dinner service. Three stars, because we averaged the highs and lows and landed squarely in "huh... okay." Let's start with the Rainbow Roll. If you've ever wondered what it feels like to bite into a roll stored in the North Pole, wonder no more. It was as cold as the beer in the frosty mug... and honestly, the mug might've been warmer. If sushi had a winter coat, this roll was wearing it. Now--credit where credit is due--the nigiri was spot-on. Simple choices (just salmon, tuna, and shrimp), but executed beautifully. Clean cuts, great texture, and tasted fresh enough that I briefly made eye contact with the fish spirit realm. If they expanded the nigiri selection, I'd happily ascend the throne. The menu has some wildly creative rolls you won't see anywhere else. You can tell the chef was having fun... and also discovered cream cheese at some point in life and never recovered. If you love cream cheese in your sushi, congratulations--you've found your soulmate. If you don't, tread carefully. And then there were the temaki hand rolls. Flavor? Great. Size? Guinness-Book-of-World-Records big. I've never been physically intimidated by a hand roll until now. I needed a game plan. Possibly a spotter. Definitely two hands. Maybe a helmet. Atmosphere? Surprisingly classy. Elegant without being stiff. The kind of place where you could have a nice date... as long as you're okay with your partner watching you wrestle a hand roll the size of a traffic cone. Hebert was amazing! Super friendly made the best drinks and was very attentive. He made me a pineapple lime juice which was freshly made in the restaurant and when I was leaving, I ordered a freshly squeezed lemonade to go, and that was so good! I like my lemonade sour with a little bit of sweetness, and that's exactly how this was! When I got there, there was a bit of a wait, although there were only a couple of tables inside that had people there however, the host this was in the restroom so I waited at the front unattended for almost 5 minutes. That's the only con that I had during my visit. I tried the shrimp tempura, which is great but make sure you ask for spicy mayo with it or use soy sauce to dip it in. It came out in a cute glass. For my meal, I had the hot sushi with salmon and it was so good! Hebert recommended it. I've never had sushi come out looking like that or even taste how it tasted. I have not have the Brazilian sushi before. This visit increased my experiences on how the sushi to be eaten. This restaurant weekday All You Can Eat lunch has the promotion. The price is lower than the menu five dollars. We start with the appetizers in the menu. The first dish is my favorite salmon carpaccio. This dish have slices of salmon on ponzu sauce. Very delicious. Then we move to tilapia bite with fried tilapia. Sunomono is a bit different than the Japanese style. This sunomono is basically cucumber and bifum noodles. We also got salmon croquettes which is interesting. The last app is the ceviche. Mainly tilapia. Our main dish is the sashimi with salmon, tuna, octopus, shrimp, white fish. Overall is a good presentation. Highly recommended. The Temaki we have is the Doritos Temaki. Which is salmon hand roll with Doritos chips sprinkled on the open area. The Temaki is the crispy Temaki. This is Temaki full of fried salmon. Now we are talking about Brazilian sushi rolls. We start with Uramaki Boss Roll. This is shrimp tempura inside and top with salmon with pepper jelly. Very delicious. My favorite are the two chef specials. The first one is the chef jacquin roll. This is the grill salmon with salmon skin. The second is the chef maniho roll with salmon and truffle oil. We also got Haruhot roll as shrimp wrap in the Harumaki dough fried like spring rolls. The next is the Djoy that use the salmon as kin to wrap the rice and top with the choice of toppings. Overall is a good experience. We were there at the opening hours. After we seat, we were not been attended for 12 minutes. Kind of let down. For AYCE we always order in first contact and no server comes to us. After that we are good with service. The server need to attentive and fluent in English and know the sushi product. Those are the place they can improve. Some of the item they did not follow the menu indicated such as tuna tataki missing the ponzu sauce. Tip : when you order Djoy, you can select your sushi to torch. Food here is very good. It is the best sushi. It's the best all you can eat sushi i have ever had. I love sashimi and always get that whenever I'm out eating sushi. I also tried some of their other rolls that they had. My favorite role was Nigiri salmon with wasabi, sea salt and truffle oil. The service was very good. I didn't have to ask to get my water refilled and they made sure that I had all the sauces I needed and if I needed any more sushi. I was very bland and just tasted like tomato soup on rice and a bland over cooked salmon. They charge $5 for a can of coke and $6.50 for a small bottle of apple juice. No refills. That's crazy.
