Food was great! I came with a few friends, we were celebrating a small dinner before a concert. We chatted over hibachi and sushi. The sushi was delicious. I would come next time to order different rolls just to see how well they plate it. The waiters were kind of funny, we were constantly offered food that wasn't ours. I think the wait staff just didn't know the table numbers by heart lol we kept telling them that's not our food that's not our food. The interior is very nice and inviting. Friendly staff , clean restaurant but unfortunately the sushi is not as great. My partner and I love both Asian cuisine , in particularly sushi and ramen. We came looking for somewhere new , but what we got was at best on par with supermarket sushi. My partner hd a rainbow roll , I had the bento box . The only reason i don't take another star off this place was honestly the price of the bento box. You get a lot of food for a low price which made it an affordable option and the reason I would come back . But it's not something that I would go out of my way to eat. read more

Went here yesterday at the invitation of some friends. The venue was mostly function with a few decorations here and there. The staff were attentive and solid 6 out of 7 and the food came out relatively fast. The meal was fresh not a huge portion but ok. The rolls were also kind of small. I want to be wowed at sushi places and this one just missed the mark. While we were there we only saw one other party so at least we had the staff mostly to ourselves. The 80s rock in the background was an interesting addition to our experience. I might come back but I will continue my search for a good sushi place with reasonable prices and portions. read more

While outside does not present with the traditional Japanese style as it is located in a plaza, the inside is small, well kept and definitely separates into a more calm Japanese style sushi restaurant. We were greeted with pleasantly and treated well throughout our trip. The portions as you can see are well worth the price and had plenty of leftovers to take home. In terms of flavors, while not the most exceptional tasting sushi I've ever had, the flavors were good and I could see myself going back. Yes, I ended up DoorDashing from here a couple days later and I've refined my order a bit. First, my husband will probably always get the steak and shrimp hibachi. I really enjoyed getting an extra side of fried rice. I love hibachi fried rice, how crispy it is and sticks together. I should always get an extra side of the fried rice. This time I got the Twin Salmon Roll. I'm getting closer to a roll I love. The fresh salmon and the ikura on top is amazing. The smoked salmon taste was a little too distinct for me. If there's an opportunity to switch out the smoked salmon for more fresh salmon, I'd do it. Next time I'll probably try another roll. I'll just keep making my way through this menu. read more

A big fan fave for me! The sushi has always been elite here. I've never had an issue with the service nor the sushi. It's definitely a comfort place for me. This is a LONG over due review. This has been (and probably will always be) my go-to sushi spot for years. Joe, the owner, is extremely sweet and always working hard. The sushi is fantastic! The menu has a wide variety of options so there is something for everyone. Everything I've ever tried is delicious. I highly recommend their gyoza, Mexican roll, spicy crab crunch, Angel hair, roll on fire, and shogun fried rice! But honestly the whole menu is great. 10000/10 highly recommend. read more

Went with my family to Shogun so we were all first timers here; I went out on a limb based on the variety of reviews and decided to give this place a shot. NO regrets!!! I was sooo surprised by how great the sashimi was here, chef's were on point! I started off with the Treasure Island appetizer, which is various diced raw sashimi pieces in a light sauce, topped with masago and borderlined with avocado. First bite of the fish had me shook. Super soft and buttery, pairs well with the avocado. Very tasty! When I tried the Love Boat for 2, the moment of truth came when I tried a piece of the salmon sashimi and the tuna. WOW. I haven't had any fresher fish served to me before this, and that's saying a lot considering how much sushi I've had. The sashimi was so soft it melted in my mouth, with a buttery finish. No fishy taste whatsoever. My family was also very impressed, I think I blinked twice and it was all gone. This is the type of real sashimi I've been looking for, where a chef takes pride in what they serve, and where you go home dreaming of having more the following day. Great portions for reasonable menu prices, and the options offered are not too bad at all, good variety. The onlyyy reason it just missed 5 stars was mainly from the fried soft shell crab that did not taste well, and our server, which she might've been fairly new. So needing some things took a while to ask, and some knowledge on the menu items were confusing. Besides that, I'm definitely coming back to try more menu items! Price: there is a nice discount on the price, buy one, get the 2nd special roll half off all day on weekends Fri-Sun and 3-6pm weekdays. Service: They need more help. On a friday night, there is 1 waitress/cashier for the whole restaurant, 1 cook/person making rolls. They couldn't keep up. It took 20-30min to get food. There was a longer wait than there should have been for everything, ordering, getting drinks, getting food and paying the bill. The dine in was not busy, there were 3 other tables in the restaurant. She said she put in the entire order and the sushi bar and kitchen work differently. Again I said then you should not have put in the entire order. She said "this is my job" to which I said I used to wait tables too and this not how it's done. She said she could take back the entree but it would just get COLD. Basically I got my entire order: soup, entree and appetizer (in that order) before my husband got anything!! And we have been to this restaurant many times but have never been the only ones seated. I was looking for a place to grab lunch and saw on Yelp Shogun has good lunch specials. Their site advertised 3 rolls for $13.95, score! I ordered the Tampa, Mexican and Shrimp tempura to go. Customer service was great. Speed of service was great. The price was actually a $1 more than what was listed online, but no big deal. Inflation is literally everywhere these days. Might be helpful to update the website though. Anyway, unfortunately once I dug into my lunch I found the sushi to be bland. There was nothing special about the rolls, they all fell short on flavor. The salad also had a neon color to it. Maybe it was because I got the inner bitter heart pieces? I don't know. I'm glad I tried this place, but I won't be visiting again anytime soon. read more

We ordered sushi delivery. I will tell you it arrived very quickly. 10 Minutes before the time given... which was amazing! We ordered Florida roll, Shrimp temp roll, Mount Fuji roll, avocado roll, Chicken temp roll, yaki udon noodles, All of the sushi was very good. The avocado roll had a huge piece of avocado in each roll! The yaki noodles were huge and flavorful. We added chicken to the noodles and they had some veggies in it as well. We received an extra miso soup... not sure if that is normal but it was a nice bonus! They included chopsticks and little cups of soy sauce. We really enjoyed the sushi and so glad I found a place that had a delivery service! read more
