Kingman has a few restaurants but I was craving some steak. We had a large group, about 36 people, eating so you can imagine the potential chaos. But the service was excellent! They did a very good job of cooking and serving everyone in a timely manner. As for the food, the salad is average. Nothing special. The ribeye was over cooked. It came out medium done rather than medium rare. The quality was not the best. The mushrooms were average. Compared to other steakhouses, it's a 3 stars. Compared to other restaurants around this area, it may be higher but since I didn't try out other places, I can only rate what I have experienced. Will I come back next time? If there were other choices, probably not. Given the lack of choices, I would still be happy eating here again. For Thinsulin fans, there are some green light choices. read more

I had a rib eye and fried shrimp combo; my daughter had the sirloin and sweet bourbon salmon; and the hubby had a chop steak dinner topped with grilled onions and mushrooms. Our dinner was delicious and really hit the spot for our meat cravings. Our server was really nice and welcoming. I've read some of the reviews and there seems to be a few that refer to racism. I'm not a person of color but I'm a senior gay person that retired to Kingman from California a couple of years ago. I wanted to love this place but an I had unpleasant experience with a waitress, who claimed to be a co-owner. I complemented her on how good the steaks were and that they definitely didn't need A1. I told her a story about an experience I had at Musso Franks in LA where I asked for A1 and the waiter called me a peasant. Maybe I came across like a snob from California but she said, "Well, as children we were Mormon and there were eight of us and we never got to eat steak." She turned on her heels and walked away. I wanted to tell her the Musso Frank story happened when I was 40. I was treated to dinner by a good friend, and at the time I didn't know any better. I wanted to tell her as kids, there were six of us and my family ate macaroni and cheese and spaghetti. I didn't have a steak till I was in my 30's. Also wanted to tell her that probably the only difference between my family and hers in the sixties and seventies was that my parents smoked and drank coffee. Recently, the Kingman Chophouse co-sponsored a Republican rally where guns were raffled off on the same day as the El Paso mass shooting. As good as the steaks are, unless you're a white Republican, I don't recommend the place. read more

Went there for an early dinner last night. Got the Cesar salad and he got the cheeseburger. No complaints, good bang for your buck on the regular meals. I think the food is good, although the pricing of it is questionable. You notice the signs in the restaurant and on the menu right away that state you'll get a 4% discount if you pay in cash. The entrees are pricey and I found myself wishing I'd known. However, the real shock was when I paid and found that the whole dinner was 4% more expensive than I had thought. What they say is that the prices listed in the menu ARE the discounted prices and that you have to add 4% to every single thing in order to find the true prices, and there is no way at all that their note on the menu reflects that reality. I feel like they wanted to raise their prices but didn't want to go to the expense of printing new menus, so this was their solution. It's underhanded and shifty, in my opinion. I have been looking for a good steak house in Kingman, what a disappointment, I ordered a stake well done, what I received was so rare I thought I heard it mooing, I sent it back and they brought me back a piece of garbage steak, they weren't even going to provide vegetables with the meal, I wasn't impressed with the vegies either, the one thing that was eatable was the baked potato, it's pretty hard to mess that up. needless to say I won't be back. $45 down the drain. The hostess gave us an eye roll when we arrived. We were seated, given menus and then ignored. No offer of water, coffee or any drinks. We were a party of 4 with an 8 month old baby. We sat and waited patiently. At one point the waitress made her way in our direction only to hang a u turn at the table next to us! Sad but we could see that coming before she arrived. Very disappointed when trying to place a to go order for Father's Day. Had to call at least 4 times to get through and not just be sent to voicemail. When the hostess finally answered I was told that because of Father's Day they were not doing to go orders. Seems like a really dumb business practice to not have to go availability on a holiday. Not everyone wants to deal with holiday crowds and especially not right after dealing with a over a year long pandemic. Being the most expensive place to eat in Kingman I would have expected that they would want to get a much revenue as possible to make up for their losses in 2020. They clearly don't know anything about what kind of fries they serve compared to what they have listed on the menu or what littleneck clams are compared to what they serve or have any idea how to make filet mignon. This is not a chop house it is a culinary joke with a menu that doesn't match the food they serve.. They clearly aren't taking the world wide pandemic seriously with the way plainly visible slimy film on everything inside the restaurant. Let's start with the booth. Seats uncleaned, table wobbly and disproportionate. Upon entering they have a display of their meat. Their filets and two steaks and a piece of salmon. No tbone, so sirloin on display. Appetizer was the 2 dozen little neck clams. Not only were they NOT littleneck clams, they were COCKLE clams, big difference. So where are the littleneck?? I counted 18 clam shells and only 14 with clams in them. I told the waitress and she said that that's how many were in the order then I showed her on the menu that it clearly says 2 dozen. That means 24... She barked at me as if I was wrong, then she brought out another short order of them. Still not 24, still not littleneck clams and still incorrect. Then my gf's filet mignon was cut into 6 pieces and each piece was cooked differently and all in all tasted plain and the bacon was like boiled bacon and again when we stressed this to the big girl who was our server she barked at me again and said that that's how their Filet mignon is served that they chop it up and serve it pieces together with toothpicks...... She was a terrible server... absolutely terrible.. She was loud and obnoxious and very unprofessional and unappreciative to our orders. They overcharged us for drinks we didn't order and she came to get our payment we told her about the drinks being wrong she said that she knew there was a mistake on the bill and said she had to go get the new bill. If she knew about the mistake then why did she come to get our payment?! My steak was fine aside from that purée they pass off as blue cheese crumble but the rack of ribs they served had enough pepper on it to literally kill someone. Unbelievably disrespectful wait staff, incredibly inconsistent cooking not to mention three of our meals had steak fries which were not steak fries but SEASONED fries. The portions were inconsistent across three plates and were ALSO NOT WHAT WE ORDERED!!!! This place is a disgrace to the name chop house. The atmosphere is awful and on par with a sports bar with their multi television screens all with sports on them and nothing of a real chop house. That large woman who served us with her crass/ loud demeanor is clearly in the wrong line of work when she made us feel like our complaints were personal to her and that they were our fault. This place deserves zero stars and should be investigated for cleanliness and food false advertisement. Took my brother to the Kingman Chop House for his birthday dinner. Terrible, Terrible! Took 10 minutes to even get acknowledged while we stood there and waited for the waitress or hostess who is busy in a conversation with a girlfriend. When we finally got seated we ordered our drinks and my wine glass was completely covered with fingerprints and water spots. He ordered a chop sirloin. When it came and he cut into it and the inside was totally mushy like oatmeal or something. He took two bites and it was absolutely foul ! NASTY! It was obviously bad. I have eaten there three times in the past and it is always been excellent. Now he's been sick for two days. On the john and throwing up. What a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! for me and my brother. The Kingman Chophouse has a western theme to it, like everything else in Kingman. The menu is definitely centered around a selection of steaks, however there are several other choices for entrees as well. My experience was... not great. The service was terrible. The server would walk away while you were in the middle of placing an order and never tend to the table. Luckily there was another server who took pity on us and helped. But even with the two of them it was still pretty bad. The steak, while tasty, was way expensive and didn't really come with much else. We are talking close to $30 for a 11oz steak and a baked potato. And it took over an hour for the food to come out. I also tried to order a beer. The server left while I was in the middle of giving here my order. Eventually she returned but I apparently they didn't have the beer I was trying to order. I will definitely not be returning.
