I've been going to another barber for 5 years, but he unfortunately closed down his shop. So I decided to give these guys a shot. It was a bit uncomfortable at first because it was full of people, which is obviously a good thing, because it shows that they do good service. I was greeted by Omar, who also cut my hair. I just wanna day that this guy was great. Really great attitude and very courteous. He gave me a great cut and I feel like I found a place where I can become a regular. Thanks again, Omar! TLDR; Short wait time, highly skilled barbers, inexpensive, and a caring staff. My young son and I always look forward to going to our favorite barber, Oscar. He always gives my kiddo the five star treatment, is kind, and respectful. Oscar asks my little man what he wants out of his cut and he leaves the shop looking like a movie star. Some of the guys here have been cutting hair since they were teenagers and their experience is evident with how many five star reviews they have. The owner is the biggest jerk off in the United States. This company does not value or honor your time at all!!! THEY DO NOT MAKE APPOINTMENTS WHATSOEVER. I called and the owner said "no wait" which he totally just lied to me. I got there and there's two people ahead of me. How is it that in less than 10 minutes he claims "two people walked in" and he gives them to Omar, my no longer barber. Sorry I don't want to waste my life waiting for some other douche to get their haircut. No thanks. So then the rude owner becomes very aggressive and argumentative with me and said I don't care if you leave a bad yelp because people are only going to look at the 5 stars. I've been coming here for almost a year and only trust Omar to cut my hair I always give him no less than a $10 tip and the last time I have him $20. Stopped into an empty shop at 9 AM today. I was there for less than 5 minutes. The entire shop had the mild smell of mildew. Of the three barbers there, not a single one even acknowledged my existence for several minutes. One of them finally lurched toward a chair.. while PICKING HIS NOSE. I love the total service from a simple haircut to manscaping (waxing -ie removing the hairs inside) my nose, string sculpting, tinting my goatee and eyebrows), and sometimes the offer of tea while waiting. Brazilian friends of mine come here too. She gets the full face and hair treatment too. Many of the clientele are youngish Iraqi men who, unlike most American men (of which I am a mature one) are used to a decent haircut. This is several cuts above the ordinary! only reason I'm giving them a 3 stars is because I felt a little uncomfortable and i feel like they didnt want to cut my hair. when I said I wanted to get my hair cut 1st response was we dont cut female hair....hair is hair and i get a mid fade everytime nothing female about that. After sitting down a few guy saying what I want the guy cutting my hair starts talking to another man in there language and I'm pretty sure it was about me, I take it they dont get alot of lesbian customers. I like my hair cut and he did a good but I've had better experience. You shouldn't rush threw a paying customers hair cut so you can close 20mins early. read more

I was driving through El Cajon and needed a haircut. I called a buddy who is local to the area. He highly recommended King's Cut. I am very glad that he did. It was the best barber and haircut experience I've had anywhere. I'm 53 and I travel quite a bit. I like to get to know the local vibe in places that I go, so I get haircuts in Barber shops around the country. (Barbers still know small towns as good as anyone). This is perhaps the best and busiest barber shop I have ever experienced. Though, busy I did not wait long. I would like to give it six stars but there is no six star option in Yelp. I had a cut, straight blade shave (both directions) and even went for the ear / nose wax (first time, but if there is a place that knew what they were doing it was here). Last thing that was cool was that I saw lots of fathers and sons coming in together. Lots of regulars too. No compromises, well managed and owned. Very well done. Great haircut. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! When I first came in I asked if they take walk in's they said yes nothing else was said. I went on to wait at least 30 mins for one of the three barbers to finish with their clients which is fine since I would want the same treatment. Well when I finally got to sit down I showed the barber a picture of what I wanted and tried to tell him specifically what I wanted and didn't want. He went on to say ok ok skin fade barely listening to me and what I had to say about my hair cut. I should have took the chance to leave cause he went on to rush my hair cut and finished me up in less than 5 minuets and was given a horrible hair cut. I would not recommend coming here if you want good service and a good hair cut. I would also like to add how unsanitary their work stations were from not cleaning clippers after a Client to just changing the razor on the razor blade and not cleaning it after every client. Over all the service, hair cut and the sanitation was all one star in my opinion. read more

I was the only person there that was speaking English at this barber shop... I wasn't even greeted when I walked in the door so I sat for 10-15 mins and then was called up for my hair cut. I asked him not to line me up just do the cut and a minor beard fade to match my fresh hair cut. Guess what...? He lined my hair up and before I could tell him again he started to trim my beard and basically cut 2 inches off of it and messed up my neck line I had been working on growing for quite a while... I had to go home and shave my head bald because I hated the line up that I asked him not to do and then trim my beard even more and fix it up a little bit. Not Happy! read more
