I'm not going to lie. When I first moved to San Diego these guys were always my go-to barbershop. They had a good price and great haircuts. The only reason I stopped going after a year of going to them was because they eventually got over run with customers who "called before I came in". It got so bad to the point where myself along with a few other walk-in customers were passed along for nearing an hour and 30 minutes because someone who walked in speaking their same language "called before I came in". I stopped coming here for about 9 months and then figured to give them a try again. The quality of their haircut went from pretty good to just "meh". I asked for a medium fade on the sides with a quarter inch off the top. I basically left with a high and tight with only a quarter inch hair left on the top. I used to appreciate their haircuts, always such good quality, but this last haircut has me not wanting to ever return. read more

Absolutely terrible experience here at Kings Cuts. I walked in and started getting cut immediately, but not at all what I asked for. I showed him a picture of the haircut I wanted and he said he would do it when he only glimpsed at the photo for not even 5 seconds, and 10 minutes later I am half bald with nothing close to what I showed him. He didn't care at all if my haircut was good, he just wanted to get me out of there. Would never recommend this place to anyone, horrible experience and now my head is all messed up. Very nice place. We're looking for a last minute hair cut place for my boyfriend. There were only 2 places open past 6pm on a sunday, and this place had 5 stars on google. We rarely see that! We showed up, he got a nice cut, straight razor shave and threaded brows, he came out looking SHARP, for only $25! No more super cuts! This is the type of place your loved one should get pampered at. My husband and I have been here for close to 3 years and just randomly stopped in here to get his hair cut this past Sunday. All I can say is wow. It was literally the best fade he's gotten since being out here. A lot of people complain they go to fast but I LOVE how fast they were, my husband hates having to sit in the chair for 30+ minutes for a simple fade and we were in and out of there in 10 minutes. Today is going to be my fourth time here. This place is fantastic! I have lived in El Cajon for 27 years. I have been to many different hair cut establishments. This one is by far the best if you are male. I usually go in for a haircut and a beard trim/clean up. Never spent more than $25 with tip!! And it is nice getting that clean barber feel with the shaving cream and straight razor etc. This is my final destination for haircuts from now on. Kings is my bi-weekly visit. I've received nothing but the absolutely BEST haircut every-time. The edges are sharp and cut just how I desire. Also the waiting area (if you ever have to wait) is comfortable with large leather chairs. Then to wrap up an excellent cut is the price. The least expensive cut I've ever paid for. I'm not quite sure the name of the barber that cut my mans hair but he was super unprofessional. My man came in wanting a trim and instead the guy refused and shaved all of his hair and his beard. I never wait for more than 5 minutes because unlike every other barber in the area they anticipate that most of their business comes on the weekend and they have enough barbers to handle the rush. They do an amazing job and it's quick. My only complaint is the parking in that shopping center sucks but I can't hold it against them. read more

Although I've never been to a barber before, I can't imagine they get better than these guys. Fast but precise -- It seemed like every hair was considered, and carefully trimmed to perfection. You have to experience it to understand what I mean. Nice environment and extremely friendly people. Cheaper than Super Cuts, with the highest quality possible. I am a mother that came to have my sons hair cut. I come in show a picture the guy says yeah i know what you want and waves me off. My friend is with me and doesnt see the exchange so shows the guys the picture or tried and he very rudely says I know. Ok, I get it you already know. So that my son wants is very short on bottom and long on top to flip back. He has been growing his hair just for this cut. The guys start chopping away, in 10 minutes my son comes to me on the verge of tears saying that the person didn't do it at all like the picture. Not only is almost all his hair gone the actually cut is uneven, blotchy and down right just bad. Literally one of the worst hair cuts ever. I am really surprised with the reviews, and I will never go back here due to the rudeness and complete lack of technique. read more

Would put 0 stars if possible. English name of business but all employees have a language barrier apparently. They fucked up my hair and didn't even finish the job. I asked for an inch off the top and they completely neglected it and only shaved the sides of my head. To top it all off for some reason when they finish up your hair they use a straight razor (which they do NOT know how to handle properly) and glide it down repeatedly along the back of your neck causing severe irritation and small amounts of bleeding. I have been going here for haircuts for months now and I have never had to wait for than 5 minutes for a cut. The staff is very friendly and it's mostly a family style atmosphere. I tried a barbershop in Lakeside, but I wasn't happy with the result. I saw King's on Yelp and I'm glad I did! So, I went in just when they opened, which was at 9am, and I immediately was served. After experiencing a bad haircut in Lakeside, I waited two whole months for my hair to grow out before I decided to try this place. I wasn't disappointed.
