The first time we went to the Kings Wok after renovations our bill was about $62 for 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 kid price. The food was better then. Great variety of everything and decent quality. Last night, same family, the bill was $71 and the the food was iffy. They only had vanilla ice cream in a case that had 6 flavors before. The wok line had sketchy looking ingredients and the cook looked like he was new at it, like he was making it up as he was going along. All the deserts were stale and the best looking thing on the fruit line was the pudding. The ladies room was a disaster that you almost have to see to believe. There were very few items on the menu we went back for and for the price, we felt cheated. We are scratching this one off the list for future dinner options. read more

When I moved here from Michigan I was surprised because I couldn't find a good chinese food restaurant! I do love chinese food though so i kept searching. After trying a few places I found King's Wok. I usually get Schzuan Galric Chicken, but NO ONE make that here. So at King's Wok I get there sesame chicken or General Taos. Its pretty expensive if you want to eat in ( I think like 15 a person) but I prefer to do take out. There take out is done by weight! I don't think I've paid more than $8, and thats with the container full to the top. There selection is the same no matter what, so it does get old, but it's still the best chinese I've had on the west coast. read more

Checked back in today for a late lunch. China Sun in Port Orchard is DEFINITELY much better. The deep-fried shrimp here are still better than any of China Sun's fried seafood, but really that was the only positive comparison I could make. On everything else, China Sun wins hands down. The steam table offerings here are also barely kept warm (presumably because the warmer they're kept, the faster they dry out?). Made for a fairly disappointing lunch. there was a time when my girlfried and i would visit king's wok at least once a week, or even twice! yes, call us crazy! The food, once coming out fresh and hot from the kitchen, is pretty good. especially the tempura shrimp, it has such a delicute flavor that i always have to get more. The sauteed mushroom is outstanding and the chicken and broccolli dish is perfectly marinaded. king's wok is using some great recipes for it's buffet. the sushi bar is a hit or miss sometimes, i don't quite trust sushi that has been sitting out. usually i look at the color of the product to help me dictate its freshness. the unagi is good though! the atmosphere is kind of weird, i feel like i am eating in the mall, it's a weird mood setting. kindah blah. Worst. Food. Ever. So the good first: VERY friendly service. I'm a southern boy and like my sweetened tea, but none was found. That was OK. They have SLUSHIES! The food is way sub-par. I know several years ago buffets took a turn for the worst and even moving out to Seattle, where Asian influence is everywhere, didn't help. The food is bland and tasteless, though it's not a bad egg drop soup. The Mongolian bbq wasn't great, and turned my stomach to smell. I'm not a picky person. I love Asian fare. This isn't close. Went there once with my navy boyfriend and his family. Growing up in Seattle, I'm used to quality, authentic Asian food. Compare to the other buffet places around, King's Wok is the best. At $7.87 per person, it is cheaper than a single dish menu of many restaurants, but here it is all you can eat. Lots of shrimps, fish, suchi too. I just love this place. Go ahead try out where elses, you'll see that this is a hard to beat Chinese buffet around. read more

My one son loves this place. The other one can't get outta the bathroom after we leave. At $16.50 per person... We won't be back. They did however, offer a discount of $.50 each for my husband being shot at in the Iraq war. I've been coming to this place ever since I moved to Washington, so I've been going here for 12 years. The waiters are friendly, the food is great, and the prices isn't really that bad. Sometimes it gets busy, but the line won't take that long, you might wait there for at the very max 5 minutes. Highly recommend anyone who loves buffets. read more

I now know where the people of Walmart go to eat. Wow..Mass confusion with people yelling in another language at the top of their lungs at each other. Watched a guy dump shrimp in with the shrimp that were already in the bin and stir it up with his bare hands. WTH? The place smelled like rotten fish and was smoky as hell. The food seemed to mostly be fried food and not fresh good quality food in my opinion. I ended going with the BBQ but when I looked at the meat, it looked like it had been sitting there for a while. The chicken was sitting in what looked to be blood filled milk and looked nasty as hell. I remember looking at it and thinking how do places like this stay open? I took my family here, as I have been there in the past, but only go for one dish. Let me start by saying I'm a big guy. In May I weighed over 360 pounds, and since then I've really focused on weight loss, by watching my diet, and working out regularly. I'm now at 290 pounds. I decided it was okay to go there as we had all come in under our daily goals for food, and it had a good assortment we could choose from that would meet our individual needs. My son, who is three, was waited until after they had cleared our plate, and taken his fork, before stating he really wanted to eat now. So I went and got him a small plate of food. When I went to the front where the kept the extra tableware I asked for a fork. The lady sitting there on her cell phone looked up and laughed and said "Did you eat your fork?" and then held one out to me. I was really shocked, and embarrassed, as I hadn't over eaten. In fact I'd eaten less than a lot of people in there that were far thinner than myself.I explained what had happened as I took the fork and walked away. I did call her some unpleasant names in my head though. For a place were the food is hit or miss, I would hope they would have a stronger focus on customer service. Some food will sit out forever, and be stale, others will sit empty and not be refilled, while others that are full are filled to overflowing. How is this place still open? Though my hungry Shipyard husband managed to scarf down four plates, I found this place repulsive. Hot trays of food looked as though it has been sitting for 45 minutes. Popular dishes were more of the time almost empty and consisted of more last pickings than kept managed. I don't even want to imagine how cleaning and sanitation was managed and accounted for. Buffets aren't a great deal unless you can eat a lot! Sadly, this place leaves me hungry after every visit because many of the offerings are so lack luster. Lots of fried and heavy entrees. The bathrooms are rarely super clean -- the last time I was in there was a large industrial size bottle of hand soap on the counter in the ladies room and it was dripping a puddle of pink soap all over the place. I've also found the fountain drink areas to be sticky and foul smelling. The floors are often sticky and dingy. King's Wok is your standard Chinese buffet. The selection is decent, but the dishes are a hit or miss. Some of the food like the pizza and the gyoza tasted like it was sitting in a too hot pan for too long. They were hard on the bottom and soft on top. The sushi selection was also decent, but the sushi with avocado on the top were questionable since they were starting to brown. The desserts were underwhelming, the eclairs and cream puffs also tasted like they were sitting there awhile. Greatly disappointing me because I love cream puffs! The only standouts: the Mongolian Grill and the mini ice cream stand. My relatives were all over the Mongolian Grill and had nothing but good things to say about their dishes. As for the ice cream, although their soft serve machine was out of order, there was always somebody waiting nearby their other ice cream display to give you a scoop. First of, just an FYI to customers. AmEx has quite high fees compared to the other credit card companies which is why many businesses do not sign up with AmEx. An an AmEx user you should all ready be aware of this. Back to the topic: The food if good when you don't have to wait for it. This is a buffet and and they are quite efficient in keeping the food in the steam tables at all times. I do believe they have become a bit pricey but they you can eat all you want. read more

I'm giving this 1 star only because I'm really disappointed with the guaminian lady who is in-charge in the cashier. She had a bad customer service because she never smile and greet the customers. She was kinda grumpy, rude and have own world. And even though its a long line when you enter in the restaurant she was just talking and talking to her co-worker. She doesn't care of their customer at all. She doesn't deserved to be in the cashier if she have attitude like that. If I were the owner of that chinese restaurant and I will see that kind of attitude I will fire her instantly because she's ruining my business. After they remodeled the quality was great, but recently the quality has declined. Still the best buffet place around and a good deal.

UPDATE 8/21/13 - Okay, time for an update because King's Wok has changed and I feel it's only right to reflect that change - the food has definitely gotten better - they've redesigned the restaurant and improved the sushi bar (you can now watch them make it and it's kept on a chilled area so you know it's fresh) and a grill area where you can watch them grill up veggies, meat and they even had steak there! (I was there Sunday afternoon when they serve dinner all day so I can't say if they have steak for lunch). read more

My family came from the bay area and was passing by Silverdale. The buffet here is super delicious. The other negative reviews here don't do justice. The other buffets in bay area are much worse and cost a lot more. The food selection is great, there are many sushi choices, and wonderful Mongolian barbecue. If this restaurant were open at San Jose, it would be less than Todai, but more than Crazy/Super Buffet. Over all thumbs up all around! read more

If it's your 1st visit, you may not be disappointed, however if you've been a long time customer, you WILL be disappointed, and yesterday after not being there for about 2 months, was told, under new management, !st, I guess to cut costs, they no longer offer/serve, crabs legs on the dinner menu, yet are charging the same full price, next, they removed the soft serve ice cream station, then, try to pass off yellow American mustard as the hot Chinese mustard, they have a NON self serve ice cream station with flavors no body wants Ie bubble gum and other terrible flavors, yet NO vanilla what so ever, then, no matter when you go there is NEVER a change in the lunch buffet, ALWAYS the same, lastly, no wontons for the soup, had to ask about it and finally got 20 minutes later oh,and by the way, their food pix is a lie/fraud, they don't serve crabs legs yet it's pictured AND before you ever walk in the front door, they have a sign posted saying they no longer serve crabs legs read more

Chicken wings with FEATHERS?? LOTS of them! I eat the Chinese but I also like their chicken wings...or used to. First, I found a big black hair on a wing. I pulled it out and carried on. Then, I found a wing with ALL OF THE FEATHERS STILL ON IT! YUCK! I took it to the manager and he went into the kitchen. Then, the owner came over and apologized. My friends I was with said she should give me a free lunch - "NO.No.no". 8 bucks and she lost several customers. I loved this place before they remodeled.
