Fun place. Bakery, coffee shop and deli. Located in the downtown area. Had a nice size coffee menu but decided to have lunch in the deli. This establishment has been around since 1863. My husband and I both ordered the chicken salad on cranberry walnut bread with lettuce and tomatoes. So flavorful!! Upon leaving we had a buy a few cookies which were fresh and tasty. It's a must if town.

Kirchhoff's is a chicken salad gourmet delight. Upon visiting Paduch, KY dont miss out on this delicacy accompanied with a fresh dill pickle. Established and decorated in 1873 and owned by 5-kirchoff's generations, treat yourselves to this bakery for cakes, pies, breads cookies and tastebud pleasure. Service is offered to go or sit-in then experience. BUT, arrive early as items do sell out and once gone one has to wait until tomorrow for the experience.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this delicious place until now. I have been coming here for years after discovering it on a photo walk around town during a festival. There are plenty of things to choose from but you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't try a pralines & cream bar. I have diabetes and always TRY to eat this slowly but it's one of those things that may be bad for the glucose but good for the soul. There are breads to choose from to take home, and you can ask for a sandwich from the deli while you're there. I plan to try a sandwich next time. The customer service is always A1 and the prices seem fair in comparison to others. I definitely recommend this bakery to anyone and everyone!

I've wanted to eat here for years but was never in Paducah at the right time. Finally! The coldest day in February was the day! It was 11:30 and not too busy. Noticed a lot of takeout business. The sandwiches were ready quickly and were fantastic! The historic building and front entry are awesome. Of course we had to try the epic club sandwich, which did not disappoint. The side of pesto bow tie pasta was delicious and shared. The tuna salad was very good, but I'll try something else next time. A couple of cookies and a loaf of bread later (from the bakery) and I was a very happy camper. Definitely a great lunch spot!

If you're traveling on I-24 and are needing a coffee / sweet tooth break, then do yourself a favor and check this place out! A family owned and operated business that spans 5 generations. They're located just a block off the banks of where the Tennessee River joins the Ohio River. Kirchhoff's Bakery is ALWAYS selling fresh bread with daily bread specials. We were wanting to buy a loaf of their sourdough bread but was informed that they were just getting ready to take it out of the oven and it wouldn't be ready until about 45 minutes later. No problems as we found some fresh baked sweet treats. We purchased a serving of their Chocolate Chip Cheese Cake; a serving of their All Good Bar; several Cowboy Cookies (oatmeal, chocolate chips, & pecans); and, since Halloween was just a couple of days away, 4 Halloween themed cookies. Additionally, we bought a couple of servings of their spinach quiche for breakfast (the sweets were for later). I can attest to the delicious taste of the Cowboy Cookies and the (OMG) Amazing taste of the All Good Bar (peanut butter and chocolate). They were both really good! The spinach quiche was excellent, btw. Their deli lunch menu boasts hot and cold sandwiches, stuffed pitas, crisp salads and steamy soups. A private coffee shop adjoins their bakery next door. One can walk through their open room to next door to order some delicious coffee, lattes, mochas, or tea. Yes, it's a few minutes drive off the interstate, but well worth your time to visit. We'll be stopping in again when we make our trip back up north for Christmas. Maybe I can buy a Rudolph Reindeer Cookie? Ha! Check them out! I somehow found myself in Paducah, Kentucky... Its a long story. But... they have the national quilt museum and I love hand made things... so, I stopped to see the collection. Afterward I followed the beautiful brick streets to find lunch. Kirchhoff's Bakery/Deli served me a cold lemonade and a fried green tomato BLT! It felt like sitting in grandma's kitchen while she made your summer lunch for camp. Absolutely delicious way to spend an end of summer day... don't forget they have homemade cookies too

One of my favorite Paducah businesses. The food is exceptional and the bakery experience makes it all worthwhile.

Club had LOTS of meat. Turkey Artichoke sandwich was okay but wished it wasn't so salty. The French Onion Soup was SO AMAZING!

A great old style deli! The sandwiches are huge, easily big enough to split! I will be back whenever I'm in Paducah!!

I came to Red's Donut Shop after hearing for years how amazing it supposedly is. I genuinely wanted…read moreto like it. Instead, it ended up being one of the more disappointing bakery experiences I've had. We walked in to a display case that was almost empty and a line that felt more like a suggestion than anything organized. After waiting longer than expected, I ordered a French cake donut--what I received was surprisingly small, closer to a sample than something you'd expect to pay for. The service, though, was the real standout--and not in a good way. The employee helping us seemed clearly annoyed from the start. Basic, reasonable requests were met with visible irritation, and the overall attitude made it feel like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. That kind of interaction sticks with you more than the food does. What really added to the confusion was noticing trays of fresh, better-looking donuts behind the counter as we were leaving--none of which were available or mentioned while ordering. Yes, the prices are lower than other places, but the portions reflect that, and the service makes it hard to justify even a quick stop. I can understand people having fond memories of this place, but based on this visit, it doesn't hold up.
