Very nice owners. Tonkatsu curry was a little bland and curry was not terribly tasty, maybe because I ordered extra spicy. My sons ramen was very good. This was my first time lunch here since the were open, I had Chicken Heart (Japanese Skewer) as a appetizer, it was so tender and tastes great and I had Spicy Miso Ramen adding Japanese Fish Cake, King Oyster Mushroom and Soft Boiled Egg that was highly recommended by Paul and Yuko, the owner, I enjoyed it very much. We just moved to Livermore and needed to place an order to feed the family. My son wanted Japanese food. We originally wanted Ramen, but it's too hot today for Ramen so we got some other dishes. Guyodon, Tokatsudon, Oyakudon, Takoyaki, and salmon. We realize that we forgot to order a dish (4 adults and 2 children), but then quickly realized how hearty and large the dishes were. The food was outstanding. We took the family to Japan last November, and my son kept saying how the takoyaki made him feel like he was eating in Osaka again. The outside was nice and crispy, and it was cooked completely inside, but still smooth and superb. The donburi dishes were also all perfect, and we were able to share amongst the family and had more than enough food. After ordering we quickly realized how close we are to this place, and we will definitely be coming back to try the Ramen and Yakitori. We can't wait after how great this food was. read more

The sushi is awesome but the ramen was just meh. Next door was packed and there was barely anyone in Kiseki. The ambiance was very open and not comfy. To be honest I will most likely not return just because there is so many other restaurants that are more on point. Sorry. read more

I enjoyed the eggplant yakitori very much. The miso soup was salty, but otherwise flavorless. The salmon teriyaki was over cooked and lacking flavor as well. The calamari was really fresh and delicious. My daughter really liked her ramen. The servers were very nice. I just wish I had enjoyed my food a bit more. read more

Okonomiyaki is hard to find in the tri Valley and I'm overjoyed that there's one place that does have it! I'm so happy I don't have to drive to San Jose or SF japantown for this! Keep in mind it takes 15 minutes for this to cook so do not order this if you're starving. It's a meal on its own. Thanks to the owner Paul for customizing the okonomiyaki into a modernyaki. Very yummy ramen, however I felt the portion of the broth was too small, and the two slices of pork felt like it was one slice split in half. Fantastic presentation given that it was carry out. The chef really makes an effort to ensure that it still looks amazing even when not served to table. The serving staff did mess up a little because we didn't get the sweet sauce we requested or any soy sauce in the bag, but everyone makes an occasional mistake and the sushi was too good to mark it down for the missing sauces. read more

Just came back from a tasty dinner at Kiseki. Although we had heard that Kiseki only serves sushi on the weekends we were happy to discover that Kiseki now adds sushi rolls to their already appetizing menu. Service was great and the food was delicious! Beware - the ramen comes in large quantities but is so good that you may eat more than you usually do :). read more

We decided to stop by for the outdoor seating option due to COVID. We stepped inside for a second and it's a very open, bright looking restaurant. We ordered the takoyaki, mayu ramen, and the hot and sour seafood ramen. EVERYTHING was delicious. the takoyaki had a nice crunch on the outside but was super smooth and almost creamy on the inside. the mayu ramen was hearty and the seafood ramen was impressive. it came with two giant shrimp, fish balls, and squid. the broth was light and flavorful, with the tiniest amount of spice. right before we left they also gave us a complimentary dessert, two red bean mochi. 100% worth the visit!! read more

Came on a Friday for lunch. As we came in we could pick the table we wanted. Menus came quickly. I felt sorry for the guy that seated us as he was the only one there and right after we arrived it got busy. We ordered an appetizer but they were out. He suggested an alternative. We agreed and ordered our main course as well. Took a while to get our drinks and even though the hot tea was free refills he was too busy to see to it. I don't blame him, but management might want to add more help on Fridays.. Food was good but the ramon could have been warmer. The Spicy chicken was spicy!! The weather's a bit hot when i visited Livermore. I got hungry so i figured to eat something cold. I tried to eat in a sushi place with high ratings, and I've found this restaurant. It was not a busy time so I was given a seat immediately. I've ordered the Kiseki Roll and I'm glad i did. Food was served promptly, the presentation was instagram-worthy, and the taste is great too. Kiseki was created from our love of ramen and yakitori. Our Hokkaido-style homemade broths are made fresh daily, with a 15-hour cooking process using premium ingredients to create our signature Hokkaido-style ramen soup. Most of the dishes served at Kiseki are homemade in our kitchen or made with ingredients imported directly from Japan. Yakitori is another specialty at Kiseki. Our chicken and pork skewers are bringing the comforting flavors of Japan’s street food to Livermore. Be careful parking on the street as the City of Pleasanton has special weekend no-parking hours because of the long lines for meadowlark dairy nearby (we got a $50 ticket!).

I had lunch with 2 of my friends on Saturday. We have seen this new Japanese place which has a good review on Yelp, so we decided to check it out. It is located in a very quiet strip mall. I and my friend did not have a high expectation with this place to begin with. I mean this is a Japanese restaurant in a neighborhood way off from downtown Livermore; how good it can be. The place was packed but the servers were very helpful and accommodating. We did not make a reservation, so we had to wait about 20 minutes. I ordered Chicken Karaage for appetizer and Unadon (Unagi rice bowl) as my entree. My friends order Chicken Gyoza, Takoyaki, and Fried Chicken Wings as appetizers; and each of them order Spicy Miso Ramen and Tonkatsu Curry. 1. Chicken Karaage come with mayonnaise and chili powder. The Karaage was so crunchy and pair very well with the chili powder mayonnaise. 2. Unadon was cooked very well, a little crispy on one side but moist and tender on another side. The Tare sauce was a bit sweet. I like that it did have micro salad on top of the Unagi. The presentation and the taste were very nice. 3. Chicken gyoza was steamed and seared on one side. The texture was so good. This is one of the best Gyoza I ever had. It came with Ponzu sauce and sprinkled with chili powder again. 4. Takoyaki is the highlight here. Usually I'm not a fan of Takoyaki because often it wasn't crispy and very mushy inside. This place really surprised me with the Takoyaki. It was crispy outside and cooked well inside. They are also very generous with the topping on the Takoyaki. 5. Fried Chicken Wings was amazing. It was so crispy but somehow they are moist inside. The wings were deep fried and seasoned with some type of soy sauce and deep fried garlics. This is also a must try. It is so simple but very very good especially while you are drinking beers. 6. Spicy Miso Ramen. I was pretty skeptic about there Ramen because I was so used to good Ramen especially in the Bay Area. Again this place surprised me big time. There spicy miso ramen looked nothing more special than other places. But you will notice the quality of the broth once you have a sip of it. I found out from the server later that they actually spent 15+ hours to make the broth. The Chashu pork was tasty and the soft boiled egg which at first I though it was too pricey that they charge $2 extra for an egg. I was wrong; the egg was worth it the $2. It was cooked perfectly the egg white was cooked while the egg yolk is still liquid. And they give you the whole egg while most ramen places only give you one half. 7. Tonkatsu curry came with rice and miso soup. First I want to note that the miso soup was actually taste good. Not too salty and they were so generous with soft tofu and seaweeds. The Tonkatsu was very crispy yet not again moist. The curry was very flavorful. There are chunks of carrots and potatoes in the curry too. Our overall experience at Kiseki was exceeding all of our expectations. It is a great spot that worth the drive off the town. The parking was easy too. I would come back to explore more items on there extensive menu. We have seen other tables ordered a bunch of skewers but we were so full. So next time I would definitely try those. read more

I stopped by Kiseki today, and I'm so glad I did. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Every dish was packed with flavor, and the presentation was beautiful. The vibrant colors made the food look just as good as it tasted. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and made for a really enjoyable dining experience. I'm giving Kiseki 1 star mainly because a couple of staff members were polite. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. The quality of the food didn't justify the high prices. They unexpectedly closed at 2:30 PM, which we only found out after sitting down. Moreover, we received only half of our order initially and had to remind them to complete it. What bothered us most was seeing the entire staff, including the cooks, eating their lunch while we felt rushed to finish our meal. The tonkatsu lacked flavor and was dry, and the sashimi was also dry and unappealing. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place, and I'm puzzled by their high Yelp rating of 4.5 stars. read more

Kiseki is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Livermore! The restaurant is located in a strip mall in Springtown with plentiful parking. I love the variety of Japanese dishes they offer.
