*Disclaimer: I would give this establishment 3.5 stars if it were an option. I always round up on Yelp. Kitchen 67 is an interesting little spot. It's attached to the Verizon store at Knapp's Corner. They have a big parking lot and plenty of seating along with a small bar. The interior is a bit strange. There are weird blue spotlights and it's designed like it used to be a doctors office or something. I asked about this and they said it was custom built to be a restaurant. This astonished me and I have doubts about the skills of the design team. Huge drink and food menus with lots of options. Here's what I've had so far: Cheesy Garlic Flatbread: nice and thin- super cheesy but the crust lacked flavor and it could have used more garlic Margarita Guac: Quality appetizer! Cute presentation in a margarita glass. The chips weren't memorable but the guac itself was tasty! Fresh and delicious Caesar Salad: I prefer a Caesar to be tossed with the dressing. The dressing came on the side in a plastic cup. The salad was good but the dressing on the side and the bowl made it hard to mix in Cheesy Broccoli: broccoli was well cooked but the Gouda sauce was Smokey which I don't prefer Whipped Sweet Potatoes: best thing I ordered here! They were delicious, served with sweet cinnamon butter I just had vodka soda but the martinis look great! Lots of variety for cocktails here. Kitchen 67 is *almost* a really good restaurant. I can't get over the weird interior disco cafeteria vibe and I think the assortment of items on the tables is tacky. There's a random wine bottle and the silverware is just like thrown in a vase on the tables. There's also a strange variety of paper/plastic dishes. Paper napkins, plastic side cups for butter and Parmesan etc. I wish they would put some effort into classing things up because this place has potential! Dirty atmosphere, poor customer service. A friend and I went this past weekend. We ordered a burger and waited for almost an hour before our meal was delivered or before our waitress checked back in. Understand times are weird, but overall this was bad. Our food was room temperature once delivered, our waitress went MIA and overall this place felt dirty. Wouldn't recommend. It appears I'm in the minority here with a three star review, but I wasn't that impressed with K67. I'll start with what I liked: - The interior decor is very modern and clean feeling, and the big booths are comfortable and private - The host and our waitress were very nice - The menu boasts a lot of options from soups and salads, to wings, ribs, steaks, and seafood. - Daily specials -Open kitchen Where I think K67 fell flat for me is while the menu has a lot of options, it is very limited for healthy eaters. Even the salads were calorically dense. Aside from that, the food just didn't taste very good. We started with a Bloody Mary and a mimosa (on special on Sundays for $1.50). The Bloody Mary tasted like straight tomato juice. We added some pepper and Tabasco sauce, and that helped. The mimosa was good, although mostly orange juice. For lunch, we ordered 12 boneless wings, and the Cherry Chutney Chick sandwich with Cajun fries. It took 35 minutes for our food to come out, which seems like a long time for chicken. Especially considering they were not busy. The wings were okay - nothing special. The sandwich was a real let down. It sounded so good, with bacon, avocado, and swiss, but it fell short. The chicken breast was tasty and moist, and the chutney was delicious, but there was barely any avocado or bacon on it. The avocado that was on it, was brown, and the bacon was all shriveled. Finally, the Cajun fries were far from Cajun, but they tasted good. My final conclusion is that there are just too many fantastic restaurants in this area to settle for Kitchen 67. read more

I used a groupon for this which included two burger meals and two flights of beer... WELL worth the price. Even without the groupon the food would have been worth the original price. For a Friday night dinner, I was surprised that we were seated right away. Our waitress Brittany was very friendly and provided great service. Decided to try this place after finding a groupon deal (I think $13 bucks for $20 off our bill). My wife and I split a mombo cooler which was tasty but very light in alcohol. For dinner, we ordered the prime rib (with mashed sweet potatoes and mac and cheese and mushrooms as a steak add-on) and the hangover burger with truffle fries. The prime rib had good flavor but I asked for medium rare and it came out more like medium well. The mushrooms also looked like they had been scooped out of a pot of au jus they have been sitting in for hours. The burger was very good and the truffle fries were awesome but the portion seemed a bit light. Overall good food, good service and we'll be back but would skip the prime rib next time. read more

Food was great, but service was very sub-par. My salad came without the chicken I ordered. The salad had croutons and I requested no croutons. We didn't get any silverware until at least 5 minutes AFTER my food arrived. The wait for the check was super long too. On the plus side, we sat outside and it was lovely. I've been waiting to write this review for 6 months but rest assured the actions, or inaction as you'll learn, of this establishment have been weighing on me and potentially hindered my personal growth. The boys and I have what we call "Wingcursions" where we go to Grand Rapids area restaurants and order 40+ wings and do our best to try every sauce they have on the menu, if the math makes sense. So we will start with that. You're probably thinking, "It was 6 months ago, how good can this guys memory be?" Well, it's not the best but I'll have a pretty solid timeline. We walked in and were promptly seated, no issues and the hostess was friendly enough. Our server was new and not very attentive but it's a learning process and it doesn't even matter because everyone at this company is a thief until proven otherwise. The wings we collectively rated a 3 of 5 stars. Really not even close to top 10 wing joints in GR, easily. They're just above Birch Lodge, and those are literal garbage. The sauces are generic and lazy. Wing texture and juicy-ness were the redeeming factor of the whole experience and even then, meh. I want to get to the real reason I'm giving this slop shop a 1 star review and accusing them of being thieves. I had this awesome stocking cap from One Well brewery in Kalamazoo, blue with orange lettering that matched the fluffy ball on top. I had purchased it when One Well was first opening 6+ years ago and it had more than a monetary value to it, I loved the thing and now, I have loved and "lost". I took the cap off and placed it next to me on the booth seat. We finished up and cashed out and in the haste, I didn't put my cap back on. I made it about 15 minutes away and realized my error. Mortified, I called the restaurant and the hostess answered. I told her where I sat and gave a description of the cap. "Yep, here it is! We will put it in the host stand for you to pick up at a future date." Thank god, crisis averted. I felt saved. So I thought........... I live 25 minutes from Kitchen 67 and didn't have the time to make the trip until 2 weeks later. I felt safe in that time frame because when I worked in restaurants, we had a rule about the lost and found in that the article had to be there for a calendar year to be taken. Dates of items found were noted. K67 hasn't thought of this yet because when i arrived to pick up my beloved cap, it wasn't there. Not in the stand, behind the bar or in the safe. I got no sympathy and no help, just a cold, "I don't know where it is and no one here is a thief." OK. I left my name and number with them and was told i would be contacted. Surprise, I wasn't. I contacted them in a week and no progress was made, the cap was gone and I was hurt. What next? What on this green earth could replace the cap that I loved so dearly? Not much, but a coupon would've helped. They asked for my address, I provided. They apologized for the inconvenience, I accepted. Except...the coupon never came. day after day I checked my mailbox. With each time opening it only to discover that there really are people this cruel out in the world. I've given up now, obviously, but the sting lingers not unlike a balanced mango habanero wing sauce. Now I walk alone in this cold world without the warmth and familiarity of my hat and they don't care. read more

I still like this place. The place is open and inviting, the service is good, the menu is reasonably varied and the prices are reasonable. Yes, there are a few items on the menu that I don't care for, so I don't order them (the prime rib dip's beef is just too fatty and sliced too thick for my liking.) I like most of the apps, including the Loaded Potato Scratchin's and Crispy Kale. As for the sandwiches, I do like the "Bird in Hand" sandwich, but I wouldn't say it's the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I am more partial to the 67 Steakburger, personally. The desserts are good and my kids love the Cookie Monster with Gelato and I love the Berrilicious, but there's lots more to sample there. In my opinion, this is a good place to take the family for lunch or dinner and I'm always game when my kids request it. read more

Still the best in the Brann's chain, and over the last few years their menu seems to have been fairly stable even though a couple of the items I really enjoyed are gone. The food at our latest visit was really good and enjoyed by our group of 7. The service was not as precise as it has been in the past as we had requested a couple of items more than twice. Brans Has been known in the Grand Rapids area for years for quality food at a good price and good service. Bran's kitchen 67 however seems a bit underhanded. Look at your bill closely at the end of your visit you'll notice they put on A surcharge. Is not a pleasant little surprise. When I asked about Yet I was told it so they didn't have to raise the prices on the menu. The restaurant was busy on a Sunday and possibly short of help, which is typical these days. We seated ourselves in the bar area. Started with the potato skins....they had a fancy name, not just potato skins but they were REALLY REALLY GOOD! All three of us in the party loved them. Yummy rolls with cinnamon butter were served as well....so good! Had the bird in the hand which is the number one sandwich to try before you die per the huffington post. Frank did not offer to share. The ribs were good, not the best I've ever had but pretty good! Very tender. The other frank had a burger which he liked a lot. We were all very satisfied and very full when we left. The restaurant smelled really bad and I am very concerned why haha we determined it smelled like dirty carpet. The server was really nice but the food was all up charged without the added deliciousness to keep up with the price. Its so weirdly decorated in there, it felt like you were in a super modern ufo spaceship that tries to fit being "a cool human" but on a really tight budget. We stopped here for lunch today after passing by hundreds of time. It was excellent! Great ambiance; privacy, yet open, at the same time. Our server, Mitch, was one of the best we have even come across. My husband had a turkey club on sourdough (delicious) with onion rings-the "real" kind, very good. I ordered the rib basket and thought it would be 'riblets," but it was an actual half rack of wonderful, tender and tasty pork. I chose the sweeter sauce, nothing special, but good. The fries were tasty, a little too highly seasoned for us, but still good. The rolls and cinnamon butter were awesome as well. We had plenty to eat, and brought the leftovers home for a light dinner later. The place feels upscale, but not out of touch. It is also very clean, and all the staff we encourted were friendly.
