Kathleen was recommended to us by a friend when my wife and I, after 6 months of going to seemingly every granite yard in Orange County, could not agree on a piece of granite to remodel our guest bathroom. It took Kathleen less than 30 minutes to pick out a piece of granite that we both loved. She was able to help us pick out the tile, paint and fixtures so that the bathroom ended up looking great. We then used her for our master bathroom. Once again she picked out a great piece of granite and matched it perfectly with new tile, paint and fixtures. The master bathroom also turned out great. We then moved on to the kitchen. She helped us with the design, picked out beautiful cabinets, granite, tile, fixtures and paint and now we have a spectacular looking kitchen. I am a high touch type of customer, meaning I at times require a lot of hand holding and that's exactly what she did while never once making me feel like I was a bother. Thank goodness that my wife found Kitchen and Bath Solutions. We knew for over a decade that our 11x17' builder's grade kitchen, which was original to our 1970 home, was in dire need of a complete remodel. We started by doing the usual internet search and made a list of kitchen remodel showrooms to visit around Orange County. We spent several Saturday's driving around looking at showrooms and trying to formulate a plan. It seemed that the more we looked, the more daunting the task became. We found that most of the local showroom companies did not have certified kitchen designers. They were basically licensed contractors that did kitchen design from experience. For our remodel, we needed someone that could look at our family needs and flow a solution into our space. We figured out that we needed a certified kitchen designer to make all of this happen. Kathleen Tish of Kitchen and Bath Solutions is certified by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. When we first met Kathleen we could tell that she and her staff took a much more professional top down approach to orchestrating a complete kitchen replacement. Our remodel began with a design consultation to figure what we needed. Then a measurement and walk thru of our existing space. Then we received valuable assistance from Kathleen with layout and material selection. Here is where the devil is in the details. She looked at our house, asked us about our design feelings and then helped us produce a kitchen design that would physically, functionally and stylistically fit with the rest of our home.The next step is execution. Here is where Kathleen' relationships with general contractor's, cabinet manufacturers, appliance and plumbing suppliers, tile and stone suppliers, and countertop fabricators, worked flawlessly to make our 3 month long remodel finish 2 weeks ahead of schedule and on budget. While we did not move any walls, we did replace and re-size 2 windows, and perform quite a bit of electrical and tile work to make our dream kitchen come true. The end result is a simply fabulous. Our friends and neighbor's could not believe the transformation, and one of our local neighborhood real estate agents stated that it was the best remodel that she had seen with our model home in the tract. Let me preface this review by saying that we did not have Kitchen & Bath Solutions do any work on our house. My review is on their customer service. We stopped into their showroom and inquired about building cabinets in our laundry area and refinishing our kitchen cabinets. The man that helped us was very polite and we scheduled him to come to our house to get an estimate. He came a few days later and took measurements of the space we discussed. This was on a Tuesday...he told us he would have an estimate to us by Friday. My husband received a voicemail from him a full week later, with a quote that seemed to be a bit high. He had said in the message that he would follow up with us as he was trying to get the price down. That was days ago and we still haven't heard back from him. We're a young family and I got the feeling that he didn't take us seriously as potential customers. I'm guessing they give more attention to people wanting full kitchen and bath rennovations. read more

We stumbled upon Kitchen and Bath Solutions early in the process of planning our kitchen remodel, looking for cabinetry ideas at the time. We liked the cabinet quality offered but felt it was a little early to make any commitments, however owner Kathleen Tish offered to meet with us in our home and stressed that we were under no obligation for her consultation. We already had rough kitchen layout sketches and concepts in mind for wall removal and raising of ceilings. Kathleen was very helpful with cabinet design and placement, and offered details of all the available "bells and whistles". Within a few days she provided initial kitchen design drawings including plan and elevation views along with 3-D perspectives from various angles; very helpful to visualize the design. After a few visits to the showroom and taking several samples home, we decided on door details, cabinet finishes and features, and quartz countertops. With that information, Kathleen was able to give us a total price (which, frankly, was quite a bit more than we had anticipated), at which point we felt we needed to check competitors' pricing. After telling Kathleen about our quote from the big-box store, we were able to make a few changes to where she could get her price very competitive for comparable (Kemper) cabinets. At that point, we decided to go with Kitchen and Bath Solutions as we felt a lot more comfortable with Kathleen's personal attention and honesty. Kathleen stayed on top of the order, kept us informed of progress and ensured on-time delivery so there was no delay to our project; cabinets arrived right on time. She was available to answer any of our installer's questions and made a site visit at a crucial point to ensure proper installation. When we came up short on some components, Kathleen got the parts here in time to guarantee prompt completion. Now that the remodel is done, we could not be happier with the cabinets. We are very pleased with Kitchen and Bath Solutions' remodel of our home. We rebuilt the kitchen and three bathrooms and also used their recommend contractor to replace all windows and the wood on the front of the house with stucco. The contractor completed all work according to the schedule with outstanding craftsmanship. We were very impressed with Ms. Kathleen Tish, Kitchen and Bath Solutions' owner, the first time we met with her. We really did not know what we wanted other than a gas cook top and built-in appliances instead of a stand-alone electric range. Her kitchen design was much more space efficient. She added an island and replaced the kitchen table, four chairs and a railing (the adjoining family room is two steps lower) with a table with bench seating (with storage below the bench), a half wall, and two chairs. This made the kitchen much larger. She also reduced the double doorway wide opening from the living room entryway to provide additional cabinet space. We had a general concept of the cabinet and countertop materials and colors that we wanted, and she quickly provided examples to help us choose. For the floor tile, backsplash, and bathroom tile, we did not have any specific ideas. She went with us to the tile supplier several times to help us choose. She had an astounding understanding of what we would like. She would select several tile samples and usually it was "which one of these do we like best." She also helped us select the carpet and paint colors. She went with us to the carpet vendor and helped us select the carpet pattern and color. When the construction was almost completed, she brought paint samples, and we painted patches on the walls to determine which colors looked best. She also recommended a vender for the kitchen and bathroom appliances and accessories and a vendor for the window coverings who were also very helpful. We would not hesitate to choose Kitchen and Bath Solutions again. The most important testimonial that I can provide is that we allowed pictures of our remodel to be posted on the Kitchen and Bath Solutions web page (2 pictures are currently posted), and we have been recommending Kitchen and Bath Solutions to our friends, one of whom signed a contract to have Kitchen and Bath Solutions remodel their kitchen although our remodeling project was not yet completed. read more

We had our kitchen remodeled a couple years ago and had problems with three of the cabinet doors. We contacted our kitchen designer to get replacement doors. She said she would take care of it but several months later she still hadn't made any progress on getting the doors replaced. Late last year (2015) we had a plumbing leak in our kitchen that pretty much destroyed about half of our kitchen cabinetry. As our cabinets were original with the house (about 50 years old), we took the opportunity to reassess what we were going to do: Just rebuild as-is or remodel. We opted for the latter and early this year (2016) started looking at the different kitchen and bath contractors around Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. There are several along Ellis and Euclid so I took an afternoon and visited about five, including Kitchen Bath Solutions. This establishment was exceptionally professional and helpful and was very patient with us while we took our time getting things ready. In late April, after several months of back and forth on the design, look, and feel, we finally signed and got started. Kathleen spent a lot of time with us and was exceptionally patient and helped us with the colors and design features. She took us to the different places she used for stone, tile, fixtures and such and helped us get the look and feel we wanted. The overall job took about 12 weeks and had its share of problems, none of which were Kathleen's issues (vendor issues with shipments and such). I would highly recommend Kitchen and Bath Solutions. Kathleen did an awesome job for us. The next rebuilds will be the guest bathroom and the master bath. read more

My husband and I figure Kathleen Tish saved us about $30,000 as well as our marriage. I am grateful I hired a professional certified kitchen designer who had the heart and skills to wrangle a somewhat eccentric vision and turn it into a beautifully functional reality better than envisioned!! And our contractor (mine, not Kathleen's) who understandably feared my odd configuration would be off-whack, now wants pics for his portfolio, the kitchen is so gorgeous!! I already had the form-follows-function concept for my dream kitchen roughly in my head: I couldn't move the stove or the sink, located a perfect step-and-a-pivot from each other. They were fine. But I could knock out a wall and create more wallspace. In a conventional layout, the only spot for the refrigerator in this major remodel would be four to six steps from sink/stove area. My concept plunks the fridge in the middle of the room, anchoring an island peninsula down the middle of the kitchen. Everything is a step-and-a-pivot for cooking and most cleaning, the perfect kitchen which includes two dishwashers (a smaller water-saver for daily loads, larger one for easy entertaining), plus a full, hidden laundry -- and I was right. Mine is the best kitchen ever! The truth is this: Kathleen is the reason it exists. She took my loose sketches and configured things properly for required clearances, had the best solutions for would-be quirky storage areas and cabinetry and even more great suggestions and wise counsel, kept it within budget, made it function fabulously and look incredible.
