The greatest Eggs Benedicts ever! The piano guy is cool playing versions of contemporary music throughout along with a beautiful view of the water. This is the only place I would want to have breakfast at! The wait was not too bad for a Sunday morning Labor Day weekend for 5...22 minutes only. The host was really friendly, and the ambience was fairly classy. I loved the trip going here, although I questioned whether I was going in the right direction as I was passing through a small patch of a suburban area to get here. The eggs on the eggs Benedict were juicy and scrumptious. They were cooked to perfection as the yolk was semi soft poached and the outer casing was perfectly concealing the inside. The Hollandaise sauce was not sharp at all, and worked well with the eggs and ham. My wife enjoyed the lobster Benedict, I had the Portuguese Benedict, now I am a fan of Portuguese muffins. This place is just ok. I ordered the eggs benedict with crab meat. The dish was as good as it could have been but after having seafood with my breakfast a few times, I learned that I don't like the two together. I'm giving this place 3 stars because the portions were really small and most of the dishes don't come with home fries! Not being able to imagine eating breakfast without potatoes, I ordered a side of home fries. This was our first visit to the new location. It is quite off the beaten track, not likely to be found accidentally. People have complained about the parking lot, pool and marina...well it is a bunch of poppycock, IMHO. It is a perfectly fine setting, granted, not as great as it was, but what can you do? We were greeted and seated in nice AC, since all outdoor seats were full. Joyce was our lovely server...big smile, patient, cheerful...everything you could possibly wish for in a waitperson. All our little requests were promptly granted, which is always a parent pleaser. I had a western omelette, which was perfectly cooked. It had large pieces of ham, which initially was off-putting, but the flavor was terrific. I requested raisin toast, which was good too. Lots of coffee refills were offered...well timed, too. Kept open by locals is my guess. The food and service was poor. The famous clam chowder was a broken, oily potato soup with about one chopped clam in it. The Portuguese Fisher man was a spicy hit mess that looked like vomit and was only edible as spicy eggs(tasted fine but visually about as unappealing as it comes) My wife's Benedict had a terrible hollandaise which was watery and lacked the lovely rich taste and texture it should have. Not particularly crowded at 9am on a Thursday, we're served our drinks quickly, and then took forever for someone to come and take our order. Driving to Kitchen Little you feel like you're going the wrong way because it is in a residential area. But once you enter the parking lot, it opens up to a beautiful marina filled with all types of boats. It's a hidden spot you'll appreciate you found. The restaurant is on the second floor at the marina and the view is awesome. We were seated within about ten minutes and the wait staff works together to make sure coffee is quickly poured and consistently refilled. I had the Portugese Benedict. Two poached eggs, spicy hot chourico patties on portugese english muffins and topped with a spicy hollandaise sauce. My wife had a veggie omelete with homefries and rye toast. My son had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel. And my son's friend had the cinne-bun french toast with cream cheese drizzle. I tasted the french toast and "WOW"......it was by far the best I've ever had. Soooo Good !!! The homefries were very good and my wife and son ordered a second side dish. The weight was longer. The food was pretty good. And the service was good too until..... I was with my friend and my service dog who assists me walking as needed. As we were leaving I let my service dog off the leash to go to the bathroom before our 4 hour ride home. And we heard 2 of the employees saying look she doesn't need him she got in here got her food and left and is walking without him. She was just faking it. This was said after multiple times of them asking me if I had the service papers for the dog and asked if he was legit. My medical service dog sat calmly next to me as is trained to our entire visit. If we could hear them all the way downstairs near the parking lot then that means that all the customers around them could hear them talking about me. The reason he was let off the leash is so I wouldn't have to walk further to let him pee. The dog was cleaned up after. Just because I didn't use him for literally 2 mins. Doesn't mean I didn't need him and that's not their place to make judgement. He also assist me when I have mobility issues when I have debilitating migraines. As someone who is disabled I try and hide the issues I have walking because I am constantly because looked at and judged. So I find their comments extremely offensive. I do not recommend this place for anyone who is disabled, because I'm sure they will have comments to say about you. We will definitely not be back. read more

This is one of the best breakfast spots in the area. Kitchen Little used to be pretty much right in the middle of things, out on the highway near Mystic Seaport. I rode by it numerous times and never gave it a try. Now that it's hidden back in a corner of Masons Island I gave it a try. Super! The menu offers a wide variety of scrambled eggs, omelets and eggs Benedict. While I've only known it as a breakfast place, I see they are offering lunch and dinner. I had Number 10, the scrambled eggs and hash. Super scrambled eggs, a very good and somewhat unusual hash, with just the right amount of jalapeno jack cheese. The menu said it came with rye toast, so I went with it rather than my usual whole wheat. Good choice, it set the combination off perfectly. Service is great, the location is fabulous, I'm a sucker for water views. One drawback is that is is not easily ADA accessible as there are long steps or short steps to negotiate. I think its great and plan to spend a lot of time here. read more

I would give it 3.5 stars. We were en route to cape cod from NYC and found this restaurant online. It's about 10 mins off the i95. It's a cute spot near the harbor. We got there pretty early and there was no wait. We had the Portuguese Benedict, corn beef hash, raisin bread french toast and an omelette. The only thing that we really enjoyed, mainly Bc it's different, is the Benedict. The French toast wasn't that great- taste like regular raisin bread w butter. read more

The crab is fresh, and they do NOT skimp!!! It was to die for! This time around I had the Kitchen Little Sinker Omelette. It was FILLED with goodness. The perfect omelette, in my opinion. A must try. We sail out of Mystic with our boat on the East side of the river south of the bridges. Kitchen Little can be approached by dinghy. Park your dink on the south side dock way to the right is where we go. There are stairs. Outside and inside seating. Might bring a jacket. Marina store below-this is at a marina folks! They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. New Yorkers stay home. (Can't stand their reviews). The staff are great. We love the one lets the hash and the pancakes! (Ask if they have real syrup -in the past I think they offered it for an extra charge. Again-this is in the upper floor of a marina people. Arrive by boat! You can access by car also driving on the island and going through residential areas. We miss the restaurant not being up by the Seaport but are happy we can still hit it by water. read more

The food was alright. Pretty standard breakfast food. The reason for 2 stars is that we were told 30 minutes and waited for 1.5 hours to be sat. With 3 little kids, it was pretty terrible. We are from the Central Coast of California and were in Mystic for a wedding. on 8-23-15, we found Kitchen Little on Yelp. If you are not familiar with the area, put the address in your GPS. While talking to other people who were waiting to be seated, we realized this is where the locals go and the best kept secret. We had a large party of 12 and they were still able to seat us quickly. Home of the 12 dollar mini omelet. While the food is good and the service is, well, stressed, it's better to stick with a muffin and a coffee. The atmosphere is cool, sort of island marina (it is), and it has an overall fun vibe. It's just not a go back again and again place for me. read more
