What a disaster, and with waiter hitting on my date too!! Loud and terrible place for a date. Very average food, despite reviews claiming great food. They did biscuits ok, that is faint praise. Bob Evans could do same. The chicken and salmon salads were very average and overpriced. I didn't bother finishing the chicken salad. But the service was a disaster for me. As a man, I was basically ignored by the waiter, who decided to focus on my female date in a way that was extremely uncomfortable. He kept physically hovering over her, asking invasive personal questions about her, suggesting recipes at home, and going on and on about his bartending experience. The outfits of the waiters look like normal clothes from the back, so when I arrived at the table where my date was, he was leaning over her and it looked like he was trying to pick her up. When I arrived at the table, he would not move to let me sit down, and I nearly had to shove him out of the way to sit with my date. I made my frustration very clear, and he simply ignored me. I was 10 seconds from walking out, which on reflection- is exactly what I should have done. Even at 3 pm, the music was too loud, and that was for a place with basically open space for walls. I asked for music to be turned down, which didn't happen until I complained to an assistant manager. The next day I called the manager to complain about the behavior of the waiter. He left me on hold for 10 minutes. Then the manager proceeded to rudely and loudly gaslit me and told me that everything that I experienced didn't actually happen that it was all my imagination. Now he wasn't there and he couldn't possibly know. The manager also pretended not to know who the waiter was but immediately he was able to jump to his defense and say that the waiter was only "engaging" with my date. In most places, a waiter "engaging" like that, physically leaning over someone else's date and invading their personal space, would find the tip to be the least of his problems. But that is "normal" here at the Kitchen Social in Pinecrest; go figure. So guys if you want to pay for overpriced average food, while the waiter hits on your date and ignores you exist, then this is the place for you. I wish someone had told me! I only give it one star because I can't give it zero or negative number. Of course, I won't be back. They literally could not pay me to come back. read more

Menu was large and plenty of variety. Price points were reasonable ($14 for 2 shrimp tacos that came with a chips and salsa). Kids pizzas were $6 and quite large for a kids menu item. Flavor combinations for each item was unique yet well balanced. The server was personable and knowledgeable about the menu. One star off due to inconsistency with wait times for a table. Reservations fill up well in advance so was unable to get one, granted it was for a Friday evening. We arrived for a walk in table, and were quoted 45 min to an hour. After waiting 45 min, we were again quoted an additional 45 min wait. We overall waited roughly an hour and 20 min for a table, but when looking around could see multiple empty tables. Interestingly, the Saturday prior, another friend walked in and was quoted 1.5 hours for a table for 2, but her table was ready in 20 minutes. I met a friend here for dinner the other night and we both had a great experience. The food was outstanding! We split an order of the biscuits which is their most popular item on the menu, and I can honestly say, these were some of the best biscuits I've ever eaten! We also both ordered their salmon dish which comes with an arugula pesto on it which is heavenly. As far as salmon goes, this is some of the best salmon I've had. I have been here twice and each time I go I have both GREAT service and GREAT food! I have had the crispy chicken tacos, the crispy chicken salad and the blackened shrimp capellini. All three dishes were very very tasty. I also loved the brown butter cake! I normally don't eat desserts but I will definitely be getting this dessert every time I step foot in this establishment. The server also mentioned that the food is always fresh and never frozen as they don't own a freezer and they receive a fresh shipment of food every single day, which made me happy inside! Our table started with the Korean cauliflower which was so flavorful and melted in your mouth. One of the best things I tasted from there. The interior of the restaurant is pretty modern, spacious, with a bar serving up drinks near the front. I would definitely recommend a reservation in advance since it does get packed. Our server, Tanya, was an absolute GEM! After hearing that it was all our first times at the restaurant, she gave us the "Tanya Tour" of the entire menu, offering up her recommendations on what to try (as well as which items to avoid). With her guidance, we ordered their cheddar & scallion biscuits and whipped feta for apps. For entrees our table ordered all the best options (according to Tanya and another waitress), such as the shrimp capellini, szechuan noodles, salmon salad, crispy chicken, and more. Everyone agreed that the food was amazing!! The apps were so tasty, with my favorite being the biscuits with their buttery and flaky goodness. In addition, Tanya gave us an additional appetizer on the house (crispy thai shrimp) -- amazing service! My whole group was extremely satisfied with the entrees, and nearly all of us had to get a to go box since the portion sizes were so generous.
