So I called to check and the lady who wrapped my order and everything was so dismissive and told me there was nothing they can do. we have been several times and did not have any issues. today there were flies all in the restaurant. you couldnt eat without a fly getting on your food. Husbands eggs were runny and my Benedict was so overcooked it was like a hard boiled egg. waitress was not on top of the coffee and it was pretty empty. she kept giving everyone the wrong bill so check your bill before you pay. had we paid we would have been overcharged almost $20. she did it to other tables as well. usually this place is hopping . it was pretty empty. the app to pay stinks and doesn't work. make sure you don't get double charged. they only offer 20-30 percent on the tip as well. Not a good experience and won't be going anytime soon. read more

Can we rave too much about a place? Not this one, it's sooooo delicious!!!! Almost everything can be made gluten free including pancakes, toast, almost everything!!! And it's yummy!!!! Our waitress was Stephanie who was attentive and sweet! There were a few waitresses there that sat near the back and gossiped pretty loudly about customers until someone came and said they'd like some service, but not ours. Stephanie stayed on top of everything and wasn't part of it. This was my second time here and I'm sure I'll be back every week!! read more

If I were to give a rating on the food alone, this would be a 3-star A-OK review. Fortunately, the communal feel in the dining area plus the incredibly thoughtful, friendly staff make this breakfast and lunch spot a special place. We came in on a Sunday and were told there'd be a 20-minute wait. During that time, the staff brought cups of hot coffee to anyone in need of an immediate pick-me-up and gave an elderly patron a chair so he wouldn't be standing while waiting for his table. Every employee had a smile on their face! The food is hearty, and the servings are generous. I had the beef dip with fries. No complaints. The beef was lean, the onions were caramelized, the horseradish was just a bit too mild for me. I recommend you request a side of their ranch dressing on the side for the fries...it's really good! My husband's biscuits and gravy plate was also good. The sausage gravy was plentiful but a tad bland...easily remedied with some salt and pepper...the biscuit a bit dry, but the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. I would ask the owners to please add some comfy seating in the waiting area as there's standing-room-only currently, which can be awkward when you're a popular gathering place for your local community...or maybe a few benches out front? Good place for breakfast. Always excellent service. Sometimes it's hard to actually get parking in the lots with many businesses there. Good menus with lots of options. For us though there is a strange grille grease taste on all fried grill items. We usually prefer other local restaurants because of this. But it's definitely got other great items to choose. When I asked my host family where's the best breakfast place in Vancouver this was one of the places that was mentioned. Boy sure am happy we came here, inspite of the 15 minute wait (especially since we were initially quoted 20). Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Our Jackie not only made some excellent suggestions, sbe even figured out if we ordered our combinations a different way it would save us a couple of dollars. I appreciate good service like that! The breakfasts were portioned large and ohh very tasty. My corned beef hash benedict with a side of fresh fruit was perfectly balanced and perfectly poached. With a side of red potatoes all of a sudden this dish made TWO substantial and delicious meals. Got to taste the house jam and that was also yumm. There are three Breakfast Table Restaurants in tbe area but this by far is my favorite. This Breakfast Table is in a commercial center with lots of parking. Service was good and the waitress was very attentive. I first ordered the "kitchen omelette" with country potatoes and in this dish there are also potatoes in the omelette. When the dish arrived the potatoes were visibly undercooked, they were seasoned but wet looking and they essentially had no grill marks, after sampling a few from the side of potatoes and inside the omelette they were definitely no where near cooked. I can say the side of sliced sourdough toast looked to be done perfect though. The egg portion of the omelette was kinda thin in my opinion and kinda chewy. The other ingredients like the peppers mushroom and bacon seemed ok. I opted to send the dish back though (toast and all) because to me a main ingredient of the omelette and side of potatoes were nearly inedible so it really just ruined the whole dish for me. The waitress was very kind and understanding and asked if I would like something else so I opted to order a avacado Benedict with crispy hash browns since the chunky country style potatoes had a poor track record so far. A short while later the new dish comes out. There were some pretty obvious issues right away. The Avocado Benedict: poached eggs were way over cooked and basically hard boiled. I asked for the hash browns to be "crispy" as in cooked more than the normal level of doneness and they came out barely even cooked and again nearly inedible. The avacado was simply a big chunk of about 1/3 of a whole Avacado that cradled the hard boiled poached egg instead of sliced and laid out over the tomato. The English muffin on one side was toasted pretty dark while the other side seemed to be barely warmed. The hollandaise tasted ok and besides that about the only thing right about this Benedict was the nicely sliced tomato! Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and after sampling the dish I opted to not waste the calories on the pitiful specimen of an avacado Benedict. When the waitress came by to check on me a few minutes after delivering the dish. I asked for the check, she could see the disappointment on my face and the plate and discounted the check. I paid for my meal and gave a 20% tip to her for her efforts then left without giving any grief for the dish. If you are looking for more than a piece of toast and a sliced tomato do not do yourself the disservice of ordering more than that. I would recommend McDonald's before this place in the future. All in all the food isn't necessarily "bad" or "gross" but could certainly has A LOT of room for improvement. FYI this is my first yelp review read more

As my wife and I walked in , we could see it was very busy. We were seated right away and our waitress was quick to take our drink requests. It was about 15 minutes later when she returned to take our orders. I ordered the home prepared corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and pancakes. My wife ordered traditional eggs Benedict with hash browns. Another thirty minutes went by when our waitress brought our food. At first site it all looked great. But when I began to put butter on my pancakes, I could tell they were hard as a cookie. I looked under the top pancake to see that the cook forgot to flip it and let it dry out before flipping it and it looked more like a crumpet. My corned beef hash was burned. My whole meal had been forgotten about on the griddle but was served anyway. I asked for new pancakes and corned beef hash which was done quite quickly but even then the pancakes were very tough and chewy indicating the batter was way over mixed and the grill was set too hot. My wife's eggs Benedict were the exact opposite. They were absolutely perfect and her hash browns were nicely done with a very nice light crispy layer. The ambience was also very nice. The tables and booths are well looked after and wait staff were looking after their customers with eagerness and friendly demeanor. Will we go back? I'm sure we will. read more

I normally don't give 4 stars unless I love the food (like crave it), and I don't crave this place because it's pretty standard breakfast fare. That being said, it's always quick, friendly service, large portions, and tasty, hot food. You won't find anything super exciting here (although the almond crusted French toast is farily unique), if an omelet or standard waffle sounds good, this is your place. I do love that they have flavored creamers on the table to put in my coffee...there's always a variety of choices. The menu is pretty large as well, and they do have lunch items although I've never tried any of them. The breakfast portions are definitely big enough to split with a friend. read more

Great service. Our server was Jackie and she was running six tables efficiently and friendly. We ordered a bit but devoured every bite. The orange juice tastes the freshest i've had in years. Omelet was four eggs and fairly large but came unseasoned. Same with the hash browns but nothing salt and pepper can't fix. Our two meals and one drink came to $28 + tip. From all the positive reviews I was expecting to be blown away with this food. Not sure if I didn't order the right menu item or if it was an off day, but the food was pretty average. I ordered the Reuben and my wife got the turkey sandwich. I personally was expecting higher quality bread on the sandwich, but it was mediocre. It could be that I am comparing the Reuben to the one I get at Duck Tales which is packed with flavor. The other let down is that the fries taste like fish. I suspect they cook the fish and fries in the same grease. Really the nasty fries ruined it for me. I will try it again and maybe can correct my post Update: This second time around was much better.
