Decided to check this place out during my visit back home, and I really like it! This place was really quiet with the TV volume set low, so I could actually RELAX. Anna (the owner) was on vacation, so her sister Cathy did my nails instead. I got french tip acrylics done, and Cathy gave me a discount (win!!). This place wasn't too busy, but it also wasn't too dead. After one customer was done, a new one walked in. So this place does have a nice steady flow of traffic. A+ for service, quality, and price. I felt like it was my duty to share the fact that this establishment doesn't have AC! Check this out. I would have given this nail shop a solid 3.5 stars if it wasn't for the AC issue. I've been going here on and off for the past year and they either don't use it or it's broken. On Thursday, April 19th I went in for a Gel Dip & Tip that was 30 dollars. I was first seated with one nail technician, and then was told to wait for Anna since she did not know how to do it. Anna started the process, then called over the nail technician (who didn't know how to do the job) to start the job. Anyways, pretty much Anna was teaching her lady how to do the job on me. I did not appreciate that. I made a comment & said "do I get a discount for being a student now?" Anna responded that she knew how to do the job. Clearly I saw how she was telling her how to file since she didn't know how, my nails are uneven, and bumpy nail polish. I will never be coming here again. read more

The service as far as skills is good however there customer service is poor.... the main lady(appears to be owner) is rude or dismissive at times.... if you have a broken nail and return for a quick fix she will put the customer that will benefit her I waited and returned in one hour and owner still took the customer that came after me just because it would bring her more money I've been here plenty of times to be given better service I always tip well ... I don't appreciate when they speak there primary language when it is obvious they are talking about there clients read more

Hello y'all, if you're trying to avoid wasting your time and money don't come here. This is the worst service, I have ever received in my life. I only came here due to distance, and was accused of swinging a door when this crazy windy weather was the cause of the door opening wide open and ring their door chimes in February 19, 2023 not even 2 weeks of last visit. Like I think everyone, has seen the weather lately in CA even "snow" lately. Which on that last visit (02/19/23)had gone to repair terrible gel polish service which had air bubbles of not being dried properly by light and nail polish coats were terribly uneven. During this visit specific nail tech "Vicky" also (manager) was speaking terribly about me to one of her employees in their language all because she refuse to redo all the nails and tried to only fix a few and clean the rest of nails w/ a nail solution. Little did "Vicky, know I study foreign languages in school and can not only understand them but see her bad attitude. Which as an employer, it's of poor conduct to put your employees to resolve your false accusations to any client and translate all bad mouthing clients. Which's nonsense first visit 02/19/23; Vicky spoke to me in English, she started "dip-powder nails w/ gel polish", and had someone else finish her half-done service and left another client. The prices are good. It says $13 for gel manicure & $16 for pedicure. Plus another pedicure & regular manicure, my total should've been $54 but they charged me $60 plus tip. I've been going here for about 10 years or so. It's a simple shop, not fancy - prices are good and staff is friendly. Even when crowded, the wait is only 10 minutes or so. I usually get gel nails in a natural color with white tips, and a pedicure in clear with white tips. That takes a steady hand, and I'm always pleased. read more

See all those 1 star reviews under there? It's there for a reason. The only reason I go back is because it's really close to my house and it's convenient. In all other aspects, this place FAILS. I've had terrible service there on countless occasions, and I'm sick of it. One time, I got gel french tip and the lady serious f*cked it up. I went home and had to file and shape my own nail for it to be acceptable. She made it all crooked and the gel was too thick. Terrible. Not to mention one time, I had to wait nearly 45 minutes to get a pedicure and while I was sitting there, the lady started going on her phone and reading a magazine. I had to confront her and she was like, "Oh I needed to take a break..." Who takes a break when you have a roomful of people waiting to pay yo ass? It took nearly an hour and half just to get a regular pedi. And just today, yet AGAIN...disappointment. They said it would be a 30 minute wait when there was only ONE person in there and from the looks of it, they were already halfway done. So I leave and call them back saying I'll be there in half an hour, and they told me "Never mind, come back in one hour." Try NOT COMING BACK EVER. I came here thinking that it was pretty cheap for their eyelash extensions deal. It was about $20 for a full set of eyelash extensions. I was kind of hesitant at first because I'm not quite sure how eyelash extensions work, but I went for it anyways. I also, don't usually review on yelp either... but I must say, I was pretty unsatisfied with these eyelash extensions. I've seen lots of eyelash extensions on other people and they look great... but I guess its more of you get what you pay for. First things first, the people or service was great. They were nice, friendly, and welcoming. They brought me to the back and asked me to lay down. Then asked me to curl my lashes. I did everything they asked, and as she was getting ready to put on the lashes I noticed that the lashes they were using were basically the ones you see at the drugstore. They're the individual lashes.... except darker and longer.... Yea, not something I was looking forward to.. plus they looked cheap. They basically put that on you with super strong glue... and they put what they call a "sealer" to make sure your lashes and the fake lashes stick together. Overall, it just looked so UNNATURAL! I thought the whole point of having lash extensions were to look natural and like you were born with it. Nope, not this place. They definitely used tacky looking individual eyelashes and yea, definitely not my cup of tea... I will not be coming back here again... Ps. I think it's time to find a new place but tonight I finally had enough. I just wanted a pedicure and a fill so you're always asked to get a color in which case, I usually try to pick the colors to match the design I want, however tonight the outcome was not a positive one. ASK FOR LILY! I live in OC by the beach. Since my nail technician of 6 years sold his nail shop and moved, I have struggled for 4 months finding the right place. It seems my nail preference is not popular in my area, and those who do offer the chrome styles are terrible. I like the long coffin nail, flat (not curved), and chrome powder for coloring. Chrome is not an easy technique to get right. My mom was having the same issue with quality and service, and came across this location. After seeing Lily's work, I drove down to Pomona to try her out on mom's advice. (mother knows best!)I can't believe what a great job she did. She listened, and let me check my nails after each step to make sure I was pleased. Lily can do various styles even if my preference isn't yours. I will be coming to Royal nail from OC moving forward. Prices are great too! Thanks Lily. See you soon. PS. My nails aren't curved or spotty, the tiny specks are shiny sparkles from the chrome bending light in a way that gives the appearance of a slight curve on camera. I stumbled upon this place Thursday and needed a full set and pedicure for a reasonable price. The place is very clean and the employees are very friendly. The lady who did my full set was very nice and did a great job (didn't get her name) the lady who did my pedicure was also very nice and did a good job.
