Hire Katsu and Ebi Fry combo ($24)
    Megan L.

Best katsu I've had ever, even compared to spots in Hawaii! The owners are from Hawaii, and we loved chatting with them, super kind and welcoming. + Takoyaki Katsu: never seen this before, but literally a fried takoyaki. Pretty hefty w huge octopus chunk, nice and hot but prefer traditional takoyaki (7/10) + Hire Katsu and Ebi Fry combo ($24): such great value and great taste. Comes w rice, miso, yuzu dressing in a cute jar, tartar sauce, and pickles. Hire is leaner but this was amazing. Ebi was juicy too! Both fried in a light crispy exterior (9/10)

Why is the rice served like this?

Service was slow. The solo server seemed too busy and we felt like inconveniencing him just by being there despite there were only like 5 tables. He never asked us how the food was. He asked for a refill at the very end but we were done. Interior was good. I didn't like how the rice was served as if we were served eaten rice. I took a picture of it. Please take a look. There was no ramekin for the tonkatsu sauce. The katsus were wet on the backside. Curry udon was great. I probably will not return.

It was my first time here I heard about it from my surgeon so Ofcourse I had to come in and check them out. It was a Wednesday night @5:15 pm the restaurant was not busy at all. We got seated looked at the menu which was 1 page for food and 1 page for drinks. Their drinks consists of alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. I ordered the katsu curry the meat was pork. Let me tell you I haven't had a think pork chop that was not dry or hard to swallow. I loved the katsu curry. Their curry was different more of the soupier side. Their miso soup was nothing compared to other Japanese restaurants. My plate came with a small portion of pickled daikon a must when eating with curry. The table had 3 different sauces but I never tried it. Definitely coming here again if I have a crave for katsu curry. The ambience was cool dimmed lights. The restaurants had two gender restrooms for men's and women. No baby changing station.

What a hidden gem. This place was right by our house and I never knew it. I happened to see it while waiting for my prescription at Vons. I'm so glad I did. My wife is a Katsu fanatic. She LOVES her Katsu so we had to try this place. We actually went for our anniversary lunch. 15 years strong! The food was DELICIOUS. I had the curry Katsu and wifey had the chicken/shrimp combo. Everything was perfectly done. Nice and Krispy. Not oily at all. The curry wasn't sweet. It was a traditional Japanese curry. The service was fantastic. For the food being so good, it was empty at lunchtime. It might be because it's in Anthem and where most of the retired folks live. We'll definitely be back for sure. We gotta take the kids since the love Katsu and karaage. Love this place

Tried this place on a friends recommendation and it did not disappoint. The place is pretty spacious and clean. Service was fast and friendly. The food!!!!! Delicious and just melts in your mouth. The breading is crunchy, but still soft. Highly recommend to visit in the Henderson area.

3.5 stars. Had the Rose Katsu and katsu sando. Both were decent, but wasn't as juicy and crunchy as others we've had. Yuzu salad dressing was good and white rice was good. Nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff, but they charge extra for credit card payments.

Cute little katsu house deep in Henderson. The restaurant was quaint and nicely decorated. The staff greeted us immediately and was super attentive to our needs our whole visit. The food was good, but nothing special. I was interested in what my friends' dishes were and do want to come back to try! I will say that the sando had good consistency - katsu had a good crunch, the bread was also crunchy which I prefer, and the perfect amount of sauce. The fries were what you would expect.

Clean quiet place to grab a good meal. Not a lot of options for vegans but that is fine my friend got udon and katsu and liked it. I got miso soup and a tofu salad. Tofu salad was different compared to other places it was crushed up into a ball and they added flavoring to it not sure what. Most tofu salads they just cube the tofu throw dressing on it. Nothing wrong with this place but if you want a larger meal and don't eat meat or fish go elsewhere...

The restaurant is a cute little ducked off spot in Anthem village. The server was really nice and recommended us a very yummy desert. I had ordered the katsu curry and it was delicious! The katsu was thick and crunchy. The curry was well seasoned. The other dish we've ordered was the shrimp and rice. I do wish there were at least 2 more pieces of shrimp for the price. However, the desert was amazing. The green tea crepe cake was so fluffy, light, and not too sweet. We will definitely come back for the pecan crepe cake. They say it's from a famous desert shop that only serves it here and the Resort World.

My husband and I came here for lunch on a Sunday and we had a great experience! The ambience was super clean and welcoming! The staff were very friendly and informative. The food was bomb! Everything we ate was delicious! We ordered the Takoyaki Katsu and it was wow! It was crunchy, doughy, and filled with flavor! It is a must try for sure! We also ordered the hire (pork katsu) and ebi (shrimp fry) combination and the chicken katsu and ebi combination. It came with a bowl of rice and miso soup. I was very curious to taste their curry so I ordered it on the side. ($4) Everything was delicious! The pork katsu was a bit dry, but it was still tasty! Adding the curry to it made it better. The ebi was crunchy and juicy! The chicken katsu was cooked to perfection! All were flaky because of the panko and it wasn't drenched in oil. It was all super light and flavorful! That side of curry made a difference with our meal! If you're from Hawaii and like curry house, the curry tastes just like it! The salad was fresh and the dressing it came with was tasty! Overall, the service was great and the food was delicious! I will be back for more!

Always so good here. Authentic, tender meat with perfectly thin crispy koromo. I LOVE the sesame seeds in the grinder. The service is always good too. 気軽に来れるカジュアルなカツ屋さん。サービスも良くてたまにカツが食べたくなったらくる結構気に入ってるお店!

The quality of the fish was incredible -- fresh, clean, and beautifully prepared. Everything tasted balanced and thoughtful, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. It's not easy to find sushi that feels this intentional. What made it even better was the service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made the whole experience feel comfortable and elevated without being over the top. This might have become my new neighborhood spot. I honestly couldn't recommend it more.

The avocado salad was fresh, but for the price, it felt too simple -- mostly just avocado and greens. It would've been much better with more variety and texture added. The sushi was decent and enjoyable enough, but the nabeyaki udon was disappointing. It barely had any protein, and the udon noodles lacked that chewy texture you'd expect from authentic Japanese udon. Even though it was served in a hot pot, it wasn't steaming or boiling hot like a real comforting nabeyaki udon should be. Service was also just so-so and didn't really stand out.

While we have visited before, our most recent lunch was nothing short of magical--an absolute masterclass in Japanese hospitality and culinary excellence. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was serene and inviting, feeling as though the entire space had been reserved just for us. However, the true highlight of our visit was KJ, our host. His warmth, expertise, and attention to detail elevated our meal into a memory we will cherish. A Culinary Journey to Remember Under KJ's expert guidance, we embarked on a flavor journey that was flawless from start to finish: The Prelude: We began with perfectly warmed Sake and Squid Fingers--lightly breaded, savory, and tender. The Star of the Show: The Toro was a revelation. It melted on the tongue like butter, leaving a delicate, sweet finish that I'm still thinking about. The Main Event: We enjoyed the fan-favorite Shrimp Tempura and the White Tiger Roll, featuring seared fatty tuna and avocado that tasted like pure luxury. Freshness Redefined: The Sashimi in our Bento box featured some of the freshest, most vibrant salmon and tuna I have ever encountered. The Grand Finale Just when we thought the meal couldn't be improved, KJ surprised us with a Yuzu Sorbet. It was the most refreshing, palate-cleansing bite imaginable--the perfect "exclamation point" to a perfect afternoon. Why You Must Visit Osaka isn't just a restaurant; it's a destination for anyone who appreciates world-class service and authentic flavors. We left feeling completely satisfied, happy, and already planning our next trip back. Pro Tip: When you visit, ask for KJ. His recommendations are impeccable.
