Zenshin's happy hour menu is one that needs to be added to you lists! During a one night stay at the South Point. My wife and I were exploring the property and doing some digging for a spot to eat. We quickly realized Zenshin had their happy hour called the Zen Hour from Sunday to Thursday from 8PM to Close. Their prices are insanely good and budget-friendly. A range of options at $6-$10 price points which includesdrinks and food items. Please see the attached photos. For anyone, one who has never dined here, the Happy Hour would be a nice start. The restaurant is located right next to poker room. The staff here attended to us quickly and asked if we liked bar or booth seating. The sushi bar holds many seat and neighboring tables around the restaurant. Our server was awesome. He had great patience and hospitality and gave us adequate time to browse the menu. Staff in general was terrific throughout the night. We ordered the California Roll, Crunch Roll, Tuna Poke Appetizer (salmon is an option), Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Zenshin Shrimp Dumplings, cold sake and Mojito Refresher (non-alcholic) and Zenshin Malassada Donuts (regular dessert menu). The standouts for me was the Poke Appetizer with the blazing spice, but not too hot for us. The Crunch Roll was my favorite one it was delicious and I love textures with that sushi roll. Then the Zenshin Malassada Donuts, that was a AMAZING. Served and drizzled with white chocolate at table side. A memorable presentation of a unique dessert. Went for a quick bite before a movie and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered drinks and those came out pretty quickly. The Cosmo was delicious, but the li hing mui Mango margarita didn't have any li hing mui, only mango and it was incredibly sweet at that. I wouldn't order that drink again. I ordered the shrimp bowl with chili garlic sauce and that was really good, the tempura on the shrimp was perfect and it says steamed veggies on the menu, but it's only onions, so was disappointed in that plus the bowl was mostly rice. We also got the teriyaki chicken bowl and same there. The proteins were both really good on those. Total bill with tip was $100 for two drinks and two entrees, pretty steep for off strip prices imo, but location is convenient. I've definitely had better experiences here though. read more

Greeted upon entry, seated promptly. Although the casino is smoky the restaurant was not. Low lit interior and warm decor was cozy. Started with raw oysters which had a good sauce and tasted fresh along with calamari which had good breading although few rings. Ordered two rolls, pizza, moco loco, and sichuan beef to share. When you're in South Point and you want to eat, of the 11 restaurants I ate at 4 of them, this was the spot....Granted we were unable to get into 2 of the steak spots when we wanted to (or we would have missed other scheduled events we needed to go to), but Zenshin really was good, for really good Ramen! And we just walked in, no reservation required, and we were seated quickly. To start we ordered drinks, my cocktail to start was a fail (the slushiness in the slushy was not slushy at all), so I went with a mule. Simple vodka. But the edamame was flavored really nice! It was a little more oily than it needed to be, but the flavor was on point! The short rib ramen bowl was REALLY great! I hadn't heard of a short rib bowl before, as I am not a Ramen connoisseur and I enjoyed that! The other meals at the table were the traditional ramen with pork (and a couple of extra porks) and the garlic chicken was tasty too. This restaurant is located in a corner of the South Point Hotel. I am at this hotel once a year for a work conference and always make sure I can grab a meal here. Over the years I've ordered everything from ramen, garlic chicken, noodle dishes, sushi, edamame, and dumplings here and all were delicious. On my latest visit this week we ordered pork gyoza and shrimp & vegetable tempura for the table to share. The tempura game with daikon and ginger. I ordered a miso soup and the chicken lettuce wraps for my meal. I thought the portions of the chicken lettuce wraps were a little small, but since I'd had appetizers and soup it was actually the perfect amount. One of my dining companions ordered the chicken ramen and loved it. I've ordered that in the past and it's really good!! It has chicken breast and chicken gyoza and the egg yolk is the perfect amount of jaminess. Is that even a word? If it's not, it should be! I think I'll make ramen tonight because I know what I missed out on by not ordering this dish the other day! read more

Decided to try this out before a comedy show. The restaurant was pretty busy at 9 pm. It was a happy hour time too so I was excited to try some things. The ambiance is elevated compared to the other eateries in the hotel. We ended up at the sushi bar with our server being behind the bar. Here is what we ordered: 1. Pork Belly Bao Buns: I loved how these were handheld. I wish it had more pickled onions. The buns were nice and soft and a good flavor, slightly wishing it was a bit more stronger on flavor. 2. Pork Gyoza: pretty standard. Had a nice crunch, the sauce was just soy sauce to us, wish it was more of a ponzu 3. Garlic Chicken: I could bathe in this sauce. The chicken was so tender and so delish! I would order this in a heartbeat again. 4. Salmon Sashimi: off the HH menu, this was a decent price. The citrus sauce was to die for. I ate that so quickly! This was the first time I had ever been checked on by a general manager so quickly from the start of my dining experience. Wow this place was crowded on a Friday night! Didn't have reservations but was able to walk in within 10min with group of 4. Zenshin is located within South Point opposite of the parking garage, just keep walking straight down. The menu is full of great options ranging from Japanese to Chinese and with some American dishes like steak and mashed potatoes which my husband ordered of course after seeing a horse walk through the casino during PBR world champ week and wanting a hearty cowboy meal. I also ordered something related called the "8 Second Bull Ride" sushi roll haha! It was delicious and flavorful with a small slice of wagyu on top of the avocado crab roll.
