We had a very decent meal at KKatie's. We travel to Hyannis for work and live in a hotel which means we eat out A LOT. I was going to say "essentially live in a hotel" but there is no essentially about it. We, being the innovative broads we are, decided to make lemons into lemonade and use our unique position as an opportunity to sample every single restaurant in the area. As we are making our way down the food establishments on Main St, we made our way to KKatie's last week. It was a pleasant August evening and thus we elected to sit outside. The comings and goings on Main are both entertaining and distracting. Our server was very nice and provided excellent service. We, as we typically do, decided to start with some cocktails. They have a margarita menu so it seemed safe enough and I ordered a jalapeno marg. GF is on a major dirty shirley kick and ordered one of those. My jalapeno margarita had about 1 jalapeno slice floating around and was not spicy in any way whatsoever. It actually was WAY too sweet. When I first said this to GF at the table she made a face because if you know me, I have the palate of a toddler and LOVE sweet shit. GF tried it and was like "this is a jolly rancher in liquid form". It was not good at all. I was pleased with the vegetarian options on the menu. We ordered the pretzel sticks as an appetizer and these were pretty good. The outside was maybe a touch overdone and the texture was slightly off for a "soft pretzel" but I will never turn down bread dusted with salt. I'm starting to sound like a broken record here but I firmly believe that pretzel sticks should have multiple dipping sauces for variety sake. This place only offers beer cheese but I will concede that if you only offer one, it better be fucking beer cheese. This dish typically has bacon but they were able to omit this at our request. GF and I both ordered the veggie burger. I elected to swap the side with a salad for the plumbing. GF ordered a side of curly fries which were EXCEPTIONAL and both of us could not stop eating them despite being uncomfortably full. The food was great! We were served quickly. We got a burger and a cheeseburger. No complaints with the food, but I did notice something that was a little off. The waiter was excellent, friendly and quick to take care of us. The concern was he constantly was wiping his nose with his hand. Not once, not twice or three times...but constantly. I noticed it AFTER I had eaten. I didn't say anything, but especially today with so many people getting sick...wash your hands. Once we saw that we were done. The service is absolutely terrible! The only redeeming factor here was that food was amazing! We stood waiting for to be helped for a while before finally just seating ourselves with no clue really what we were supposed to do! Took a long time but we had finally ordered food for two adults and kids! The waitress brought over only 2/4 lemonades so as you can imagine that started the arguing! She then brings over mozzarella sticks with NO plates, NO silverware nothing...and puts it infront of 4 starving children who then obviously start screaming again (also still waiting for 2 more lemonades). Finally I had seen a bucket of plastic forks which I had helped my self too with napkins for makeshift plates for everyone. Soon after our entrees and remainder of drinks finally was brought over by a different waiter along with silverware! Honestly the food is the only reason they got 2 stars! FOOD: we had a Galic Mushroom Burger and a Turkey burger, both very delicious, the koslow was very nicely prepared. And the fries, tasted fresh and NOT TOO OILY! LOVED IT. That turkey burger though...ok, I LOVE turkey burgers, unfortunately its VERY hard to find a good Turkey burger, in NYC I only know two spots that serve good Turkey burgers and they are not consistent with the flavors. Went to KKatie's with some coworker friends. I split with one coworker friend the Sriracha Chicken Sandwich and Mushroom Garlic Burger. Sriracha Chicken was fried breast meat chicken and wasn't dry, but could have used slightly more crispiness. Didn't taste much of the Sriracha though, but could taste the jalapeños, which was nice. Mushroom Garlic burger was ok, could taste the mushroom flavor, but was lacking garlic flavor. Nice 1/2 portion of Angus beef patties. Fries were cooked alright, slightly lacked the nice Crosby crunch of a dry. Overall, burgers very much basic, but was hoping for slightly a bit more gourmet for a $13 burger. read more

We came here for dinner after reading that they have gluten free burger buns and a dedicated fryer to prevent cross contamination, and I am so glad we did. After reading the menu about fresh ground 1/2 pound burgers I was expecting a treat but I have to say it was average at best. The roll didn't seem too fresh and started to fall apart. We always stop in to KKatie's to watch the Sox when we're in town on vacation. Over many years, we've had nothing but great bartenders mixing great drinks. The food has never declined in quality, and this is a go to spot for us to enjoy a burger and get out of the sun. Inside is nothing to write home about, but it's clean and it's comfortable. Getting to your bar seat can be a little tough because it's right up against a counter that makes you need to squeeze by. If there's ever a redesign, that should be the first thing to change. They have outdoor seating if that's your thing as well, although we've never sat there. All in all a pretty good choice for only burgers. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with truffle fries as a side and nachos as an appetizer via Uber eats. The cheeseburger was tender and tasty and is probably even better in sit down dining. The to-go box was kind of wet inside by the time I ate the burger and the bottom bun was soggy, but that's mostly because I didn't eat it immediately. The fries were good as a side and pretty plentiful, but slightly soggy due to the takeout box. The nachos were very average and not particularly good but if you want nachos, they're not terrible.
