Throughly enjoyed brunch at Klassics I had been to the cream cafe side many times for the breakfast burrito so was fun to see the beautiful classy decor and fun music on the other side. I like that there's an option for ala carte or the millionaires breakfast brunch. The server let us go up to check out the brunch items before deciding it all looked amazing and that was what we had come for. The brunch had delicious peaches and waffles, salad, lamb chops, salmon, cheesy eggs, potatoes, grits, fruits, an awesome Cookie, bacon and sausage. Interesting note the sausage was chicken and bacon beef *no pork in this restaurant. Just ask for more plates if needed I asked because I didn't want my savory items and sweet ones together. If I had any feedback it'd be to explain how the brunch works like the server will bring your plates. Also would love if there was a way to offer a few more drink options juices or a couple coffee or tea drinks since they own cream cafe next door but at Klassics its mostly just cocktails for drink options or black coffee. They did say I could go over to the other side order a fun coffee drink and come back but I decided against it. Also maybe it'd be nice if the plain coffee was included with the brunch buffet. We went to dinner at Klassic Kitchen this week and had some awesome food. We had the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly and so moist and juicy. We also had the Cajun penne pasta which may sound easy to make, although I have had many variations that were not that good. This one was authentic and we asked if the chef was from New Orleans as it was so delicious. It was spicy but not overwhelming the flavor profile which was sublime. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the fact that they were also very attentive; both Sam and Darnitia were on top of their game! We will definitely be back. read more

I'm a big fan of their sibling cafe C.R.E.A.M. next door, so it was inevitable that I try out the Sunday brunch at Klassics. I went for the $45 Millionaire Brunch Buffet. That's a little steep compared to what I normally spend, so I was prepared to report back that it's overpriced. But based on the food quality, it is not in fact overpriced. I tried almost everything that was available and most of it was good enough that I can imagine ordering it individually and being satisfied. The best was the lemon pepper salmon, that was absolutely delicious. I saw a lot of praise in other reviews for the Crab Boil Wings, but those weren't available at the buffet, probably because I was only there for its final 45 minutes. The dry rub wings were excellent, and so were the eggs, the grits, the chicken apple sausage, really everything. Even the fruit salad was totally above average. The only food item I didn't particularly care for was just labeled "pasta" next to the tray. It had a distinct flavor which might have just been an odd fit for me. My service was friendly; for a pricey buffet, I would expect to be replenished with clean plates and cutlery pretty quickly, but instead I had to flag her down a couple of times. I was seated next to the bar, even though it looked like there were some nicer tables available and I'd made a reservation; I was a little jealous of the people in the dining room proper. Overall, though, the food here is good enough to recommend to anyone with a budget that matches these prices. What can I say? I'm officially in love with the Cashville Salmon at Klassic Kitchen! It's perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and bursting with flavor honestly, I crave it now. I visited Klassics last year (sorry still catching up on my reviews) while in town for a conference. I joined a random conference group for dinner and ended up at one of the best restaurants! From the venue to the menu, everything was delicious! Our group though strangers, all ordered different dishes and then shared. My favorites were the crab boil wings, blackeyed pea hummus, and the tenders on the I want it all sampler (I didn't try the taquitos but it did not look good) I ordered the 1/2 chicken with mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Loved the sides but the chicken was a bit dry. I will say I almost bought dessert because the peach cobbler upside down cake sounded amazing. However, I sampled someone else's and it was a disappointment! If I'm ever back in town I'll definitely return! read more

I walked 30 mins from my hotel to the restaurant and I'd do it all again!!! SO WORTH IT! First of all, the vibes were on point. The restaurant was so cute, clean and the music was poppin! I was greeted immediately by Troy, who ended up being my server as well. Definitely request Troy when you go. He was amazing!! Very friendly, very attentive and answered all my questions. He gave me some great recommendations as well. It was just me so I couldn't take them all, but I'll absolutely be back for more. I was so indecisive when it came to which drink to order, but I went with the Mill City Millionaire and I didn't regret it. That drink packed a punch!! For my entree I went with the Crab Boil Wings. When I checked the menu before deciding on Klassics, that was the first dish to call out to me. Troy gave me some other great options but I'm glad I stuck with my original choice. Many aspects in this establishment I fully enjoyed, ranging from the clientele to the music they played to some of the highlight food items that I will elaborate soon, this Black-owned business deserves a shoutout and people should definitely pay it a visit at least once, especially for the brunch when they have the mimosa flight which I would consider the highlight of my meal, even if I conventionally barely order drinks when eating out. In terms of food, I have tried the crab boil wings once, and so did my partner when I returned there, and we both concluded that it was excessively salty while seasoned, so I think just reducing the salt would already help since it contained a good amount of flavor. My friend had the Philly scramble and we both ordered the chicken & waffles when I first went there with her, and we thought both dishes were solid, containing combinations of different ingredients that worked well together, basically. The Pimento Philly cheesesteak was great, especially because the meat was chopped well. I couldn't really taste the pimento cheese, though, as it tasted like it could be any other kind of cheese. The oxtail sliders had good caramelized onions while the beef was unfortunately dry. Using Hawaiian bread was a good choice, though, because it was sweet, offering a flavor contrast with the savory already in the sliders. As for the Cajun parmesan fries, I really couldn't taste any of the Cajun seasoning. I tasted parmesan for sure, and the fries, but not the Cajun. Finally, my partner who ordered the mussel frites had very positive comments about them, which I personally could not speak to. One thing I would like to mention is that almost all of my dishes contained potatoes, ranging from appetizers (oxtail sliders, mussel frites) to the cheesesteak sandwich. It was definitely potato overload and I didn't know what to do with them. While I don't know if this is a coincidence, I think having other kinds of vegetables instead for some dishes, or at least as options, can offer more variety. Maybe greens, or maybe even broccoli lol. Mimosa flight was my definite highlight because for $22 I tried four very different kinds of mimosas and was able to have a very good experience with my taste buds. I vaguely remembered two of them tasted relatively similar, but the flavors were still distinct enough! We stopped over at Klassics for happy hour after having coffee flights next door at CREAM. The staff were very nice and welcoming. At the time we arrived it wasn't busy but did seem to pick up as time went on. Loved the chill atmosphere & the decor. We ordered a few apps just to have a taste of some things. Everything on the HH menu is $8. We got chicken tenders (comes with 2 tenders), fries and dip, jerk chicken taquitos (comes w/ 4 but they were pretty small) and a drink. Maybe we just ordered the basic of the basic but the flavors of what we ordered were very basic and nothing really stood out. Also $4/tender was a bit much. The price is not horrible but just a bit disappointing for the flavor payoff. We stopped for dinner pre-Guthrie, and it was an excellent choice. Interesting drink menu, but the bartender was happy to make good Manhattans off menu. Small but ok wine list, no bottle opening, tasting or first pour from staff, but didn't matter. Crab boil wings appetizer was great, tasty with potato slices and small corn on the cob slices. Potatoes were a bit mushy, we couldn't quite identify them at first, but all else was wonderful. Sauce: spoon up or you'll want a straw! Salmon entree and lamb chop entree were excellent. We were greeted by a very personable hostess who escorted us to a lovely private room. It was bright and spacious. I love the clean, uncluttered decor of the entire tests. Our server, Tiania, showed up quickly to take our drink orders. She was knowledgeable about the drink menu. They've got a lot of specialty cocktails. I had something with mango, vodka and champagne. Delicious! One of my companions really enjoyed the blackberry mojito. Two other friends had a margarita concoction that must have been good because they finished them quickly. We shared the wings, sliders and shrimp skewers. I love the assorted wings! Some were spicy. Some were saucy. And some had dry rub. They came with ranch dressing and fried potatoes. I didn't try the sliders but everyone else raved about them. Two people had been there the day before and came back for those sliders. The shrimp skewers were nicely spiced. But, they were really overcooked. Still tasty.., On to the mains. My salmon was cooked perfectly! I don't like a lot of frills with my salmon. It was served with asparagus and red skin mashed potatoes. Perfect! Two of my friends had the lamb chops with fried plantains. They cleaned their plates! Another had some sort of chicken stir fry. She said it was really good. Another had salmon with collards on a bed of risotto. She was pleased with her meal. Sad thing about dessert..,we were too stuffed to have it! No one had room! Ugh! I had a team dinner for 45 people (reserved a private room ahead of time) and it took over 90 minutes to get the food. Some folks never got their order at all. There was only one server who was helping us, which would have been ok if they were efficient but they definitely were not! Once we finally did get our order, some dishes were undercooked (including my chicken sandwich). To make matters worse, the staff did not offer an apology and still gave us a bill for over $4k, which I'm sure was not accurate. After bringing out two dinner plates, the waiter approached me to let me know that the Peri Peri 1/2 Chicken I had ordered was not available. This is what you're telling me as you serve the other guests their dinner plates. I had to place a different order. All of the guests have started eating their dinners and are halfway done, but I haven't had mine yet. I stopped our server to tell her that at this point, I do not want my dinner anymore. She said she would take it off the bill and still bring it. I am not in the mood to eat now, what horrible service. When she did finally bring it, I slid it over to another guest to enjoy. This is a brand new spot over in the Northeast area. I came here for happy hour, and overall had a really pleasant experience. 1. I found the space very spacious with great natural lighting. The decor is very updated and clean since it's brand new, so I found the vibes welcoming and comfortable. 2. Service was great. We were sat immediately with no issue, but this place does offer reservations if you need them. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He was helpful with making suggestions. 3. The regular menu appears to have a wide variety of classic American bar & grill foods, but I was very pleased with the amount of options on the Happy Hour menu as well. Great pricing and great quality of food for Happy hour. My favorite were the wings and the Ox-Tail Burger sliders 4. The space is also decorated nicely and I appreciated that the tables were spread out and it didn't feel cramped at all. There are so many unique menu items that are a fusion of cuisines with a southern twist. This is more of a fine dining place, and the food and drinks are very well thought out. I will definitely will be going back! I've been hearing about the Cajun boil wings from the state fair. When I found out this restaurant offers that, I had to go find out. This restaurant actually has a parking lot in front, however you will have to scan the barcode and pay online. We actually made reservations and was glad we did. They were busy and quickly filling up on both sides of the wall. The Cajun wings were fried crispy and then tossed into the Cajun boil sauce, like the butter based. The restaurant is very clean and kind of gives the vibe of a hotel lobby. They have a decent sized patio as well! The drinks are around $12-16. The bellini was delicious and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. I tried the drink my dad got and usually i hate tequila but it was surprisingly good! He seemed to enjoy it. I have also come to happy hour since we went to brunch and had their blueberry mojito and it was so good, the whole table agreed. The buffet was clean and well organized. The line never got super bad while we were there. They had a really good selection of things that I think make the $40 worth it if you have a big appetite. They had cheesy hash browns (got two servings they were so good), corn ribs (super delicious and flavorful), beef bacon (i prefer pork but this was still good!), cajun grits (I LOVE THESE!), Cesar salad (tasted good but pretty soggy), lamb chops (my dad enjoyed a lot), biscuits and chicken gravy (super good, the biscuit is nice and fluffy), salmon, eggs, wings (they change, but they were good), and this peach french toast (super yummy). All of the food i had tasted really good! The only critiques i have for the food was 1. It could be warmer. I didn't mind the temp but i can imagine a lot of people would not think it was warm enough. 2. The salad should have the dressing on the side and people can pour it themselves because otherwise it gets too soggy. The flavor was good though! I have also tried their buffalo wings which were super great, their crab boil wings which are my fave thing on their normal menu, and my friends love the oxtail sliders! The service was good! Located in Minneapolis, the restaurant looks really nice, has plenty of seats as well as patio options, a bar and I think I saw a section for private dining, which is always a good look. I liked the open format of the restaurant, it had a lot of space and a ton of lighting. I hate when I can't remember my server's name I'll do a better job of that, but we actually had two servers. The first one that came was a female, while she was giving the table water, one actually fell and broke on the table. I think she was embarrassed and we had another waiter. Accidents happen, I hope she didn't think we were upset, the second waiter we had was a gentleman and he had really good energy like he was happy to be at work, I think that is always a staple of a good restaurant how happy your employees are because I believe energy transfers and he was pleasant. Now for the food! It was so good, the menu had a bunch of things we all wanted to try, so we ordered a few shareables just so everyone could get a taste of multiple things. Went to Klassics Kitchen for happy hour on a Friday and got seated right away. This is a newer restaurant so we thought we'd give them a try! Our service was prompt, professional, and inviting. They gave great recommendations and checked on us frequently. We started with a few of the appetizers off the happy hour menu. The jerk chicken taquitos, oxtail sliders, and Nashville hot tenders. The food was warm and had some good flavor. I enjoyed the tenders the most. The cocktails were fun, classy, and so tasty. The best thing I ate the whole evening was this butter cake. OMG!
