Lovely service and delicious lamb chops! The shrimp skewer was good but a little wimpy. The sangria cocktail was delicious and verged on too sweet but didn't tip over. I took my dad here for a very belated birthday brunch and we decided to try the buffet! It is $40 a person and there is 90 minute time limit. The restaurant is very clean and kind of gives the vibe of a hotel lobby. They have a decent sized patio as well! The drinks are around $12-16. The bellini was delicious and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. I tried the drink my dad got and usually i hate tequila but it was surprisingly good! He seemed to enjoy it. I have also come to happy hour since we went to brunch and had their blueberry mojito and it was so good, the whole table agreed. The buffet was clean and well organized. The line never got super bad while we were there. They had a really good selection of things that I think make the $40 worth it if you have a big appetite. They had cheesy hash browns (got two servings they were so good), corn ribs (super delicious and flavorful), beef bacon (i prefer pork but this was still good!), cajun grits (I LOVE THESE!), Cesar salad (tasted good but pretty soggy), lamb chops (my dad enjoyed a lot), biscuits and chicken gravy (super good, the biscuit is nice and fluffy), salmon, eggs, wings (they change, but they were good), and this peach french toast (super yummy). All of the food i had tasted really good! The only critiques i have for the food was 1. It could be warmer. I didn't mind the temp but i can imagine a lot of people would not think it was warm enough. 2. The salad should have the dressing on the side and people can pour it themselves because otherwise it gets too soggy. The flavor was good though! I have also tried their buffalo wings which were super great, their crab boil wings which are my fave thing on their normal menu, and my friends love the oxtail sliders! The service was good! Our server was Jacob and he was great. The drinks did take a little while to come out but other than that, can't complain Overall, i would definitely recommend this restaurant!!! Always try to visit a restaurant I've never been to whenever I am out of town, I went on social media to ask what is a popular place I should try and Klassic got the majority vote so I knew I was in for a treat. Located in Minneapolis, the restaurant looks really nice, has plenty of seats as well as patio options, a bar and I think I saw a section for private dining, which is always a good look. I liked the open format of the restaurant, it had a lot of space and a ton of lighting. I hate when I can't remember my server's name I'll do a better job of that, but we actually had two servers. The first one that came was a female, while she was giving the table water, one actually fell and broke on the table. I think she was embarrassed and we had another waiter. Accidents happen, I hope she didn't think we were upset, the second waiter we had was a gentleman and he had really good energy like he was happy to be at work, I think that is always a staple of a good restaurant how happy your employees are because I believe energy transfers and he was pleasant. Now for the food! It was so good, the menu had a bunch of things we all wanted to try, so we ordered a few shareables just so everyone could get a taste of multiple things. Went to Klassics Kitchen for happy hour on a Friday and got seated right away. This is a newer restaurant so we thought we'd give them a try! Our service was prompt, professional, and inviting. They gave great recommendations and checked on us frequently. We started with a few of the appetizers off the happy hour menu. The jerk chicken taquitos, oxtail sliders, and Nashville hot tenders. The food was warm and had some good flavor. I enjoyed the tenders the most. The cocktails were fun, classy, and so tasty. The best thing I ate the whole evening was this butter cake. OMG! Talk about warm, luscious, and the right amount of sweetness. I'd go back just to order this cake. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd love to continue supporting my black owned businesses! WOAH. my mind was blown here. First of all the vibes at Klassics were amazing. It's a lot less casual than I expected but I went for lunch with co workers so it was perfect. I had the cashville salmon: tomato, cucumber salad, avocado mashed potatoes, with a brown sugar Nashville hot glaze over the salmon. Omg I found klassic kitchen on TikTok doing research before going to MN and then found out it was black owned so we had to go. Walking up you could tell the decor and ambience were well thought out it was perfect including the large back space for big groups and the extra room for private parties. We had sweet potato curry soup IT WAS TO DIE FOR and I'm not a soup person. The appetizers stood out so much that we got 4 or 5 instead of getting meals and each one did what they were supposed to do; in order of my most favorite to good favorite: Soup, Chicken crab boil, the Fries, Garlic bread, then a toss up between the sliders and the crab cake. I really appreciate this black-owned restaurant in downtown serving highly flavorful food and drinks. The margaritas were perfectly made and not diluted. I had the Argentinian Surf and Turf. The steak was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. My wife had the grilled shrimp. They probably could have used one more server during lunch but we weren't in a hurry. I'm not doubting the chef, but I still can't wrap my mind around that. And several items feature Cajun or Jerk chicken, yet there's no option to order Jerk Chicken alone. Once I realized it was an ethnic place, featuring Cajun and Jamaican, I was all in, but where's my Jerk Chicken?? So instead, I had sliders, which weren't bad at all. That meal was so good I came back the next day and had breakfast which was a sausage biscuit with waffle sticks that were maple infused! Two for two on great meals in the twin cities! Klassics is a hidden gem! I wanted a restaurant that had outdoor seating and had seen the restaurant from the street so decided to give it a try. I am from San Francisco and was visiting my mom who lives a few blocks away. Parking was easy. Whatever expectations I had were overly exceeded. The waitstaff was attentive and really kind (my mom walks very slowwwwwwwww!). My mom got the Sweet Potato Curry Bisque which was flavorful without being too heavy and the French Fries with the different dips. The dips were kind of spicy so we asked for plain old catchup also. The French Fries are 'scoop fries' which are a perfect combination of the potato skin and potato. I ordered the Grilled Garden Caesar. The mesquite grilled salmon was cooked perfectly, tender not dry. My only regret is that I didn't try one of their interesting cocktails and that I was too full to order dessert. I can't wait to eat at Klassics again on my next visit! read more

15/10!!! THIS IS THE SPOT!! I was in Minneapolis for a wedding this weekend and I just happened to come across this restaurant serendipitously and I am so grateful I did. First, we came 30 minutes earlier than our reservation and the hostess was still gracious to get us seated within 15 minutes of arrival. I HIGHLY suggest a buffet option for both food and drinks. WELL WORTH the price. The music was so good. I was literally doing the happy dance as I ate my food. The buffet had a great selection of items you do not typically see. My favorite was the LAMB CHOPS. Whew wee were they seasoned well and I enjoyed to my hearts content within reason...I am still a lady at the end of the day lol. There was peach french toast with powdered sugar and an assortment of jellies and syrup available to accommodate. They also had very tasty salmon filets, sweet and tangy chicken wings, red rice and beans, typical brunch items like hash browns, eggs, assorted fruit, bacon, sausage and chicken biscuits with gravy. I am a picky eater and I still had plenty of options. Did I mention LAMB CHOPS. Come on NOW. Stop playing and stop by. I also got the mimosa flight and the drinks were strong and the plating was beautiful and creative.
