We had an eclipse last week. I wanted to celebrate it along with another celebration... my work anniversary with my team members. I went all out and bought 26 cinnamon twists on-line for pick-up at Klatch Coffee in San Dimas. I am not a coffee drinker so I'm not looking for the next best coffee shop. Kid you not, I did not know about Klatch Coffee until my dear friend mentioned it to me for their avocado toast recently which I still have yet to try... one fine day I will! You know I will LOL. Things we just don't know about until we know about them. You mean to tell me I've missed out on the cinnamon twists for 30 years. Well, I'll make sure it is in my life for the next 30+ years. LOL Upon entry at around 9:00 AMish on a Wednesday, they were already somewhat packed... must be morning coffee rush. The shop is quite bright and roomy with lounge chairs and tables. As I approached the counter, there were 4 big boxes on the counter... I assumed they were my cinnamon twists. Why 4 boxes you ask? Well, they are long and wide for a twist and that's how you want them because they are SO SO VERY YUMMY! You don't want them any shorter or thinner LOL. Each box had either 6 or 7 of them. They were smart to mark the boxes with the count. Good thinking! The lady behind the counter was nice, but not too smiley though. She was kind to give me some pastry bags upon my request. However, she said they usually don't give them out when they are already packaged in boxes unless it's for catering. But I just spent almost $100 on cinnamon twists (yes, they are $3.50 each + tax) LOL. Anyway, I am grateful she let me know and was okay to give them to me. Thank you miss! Celebrate with deliciousness is one of my life's motto! Been to this location a few times and have left there unhappy most of the time, more so because of the drink I ordered. My last visit was this past Monday 3/24 and I ordered a sugar free vanilla iced latte with almond milk. I didn't try my drink until I got into my car and drove off. It was very grainy at the bottom and tried mixing it to see if it would dissolve, which it didn't. I double checked their menu and the sugar free vanilla is labeled as a syrup so the grains shouldn't be that. I'm guessing it's the espresso grinds that somehow seeped through. I tried drinking it with the straw more in the middle of the cup so I would suck up all the grains but didn't make much of a difference. read more

I've seen this place around so decided to stop in after driving by in hopes of making up for another cup I got at another place. It happened on a Sunday morning. It was a desperate time. It was cloudy and cool, rain about to fall again and I really needed coffee. There was essentially no line (omg really desperate for coffee I tell ya). Ordered the pour over Rusty's Ka'u kona. Hubby got a red-eye. Before ringing the total, barista warns me the price was going to be $8. And before I could say anything husband hands barista his debit card. Almost all the tables were taken. There was a crowd forming at the pick-up area. Wait wasn't long and scored 2 seats. There was silence between hubby and I, I was like $8 is a bit steep for a cuppa Kona. Coffee didn't take long, and really wanted to be critical. Really critical. I found myself swooning at the deliciousness and smoothness....I was in coffee heaven! Definitely enjoyed that first cup and YES I wanted more but my phone alarm came up, my 30 min electric vehicle charge was done. Place was busy but ordering system was swift. Tried this place yesterday - A+ from my husband and I! While it's a few pennies more thank Starbucks, I liked the drinks a lot better than Starbucks. I find most of the Starbucks drinks a bit too sweet, which is coming from someone with a huge sweet tooth. The drinks here were the perf amount of sweetness without being too much. I had the hot vanilla bean latte and my husband had the hot crème brûlée. The latter is the closet thing they have to the Starbucks macchiato. If you ask for a macchiato here, note it's NOT what you get at Starbucks. If you want the sweet thing Starbucks serves, order the crime brûlée. The only difference is this place doesn't layer there's like Starbucks. We'd been up since 1:30am every hour on the hour with our baby before stopping in here at 11am. For having slept basically nothing overnight, know that the latte was strong enough to give me some energy for the next 2-3 hours lol. #1 in my SOCAL COFFEE SHOP SERIES Starting this series with a local, homegrown, coffee shop! Created in 1993ish is this family-run business with 8 locations all over Southern California now! They are a roastery that ships nationwide & have such cute weekly events at shops. I came on a Tuesday morning and it was super busy (even at 7am). All the workers were super sweet and cheerful, greeting everyone with a good morning. My first impression for aesthetics was that, it was not the vibe. There was minimal seating for people to do work, but some nice chairs for those wanting to chit-chat. I wouldn't come here for doing work, but it's a great grab and go type of place. For my drink, I decided to get a regular crème brûlée iced latte ($5.25). It was very delicious! A little too sweet, but if you love sweet drinks, this is the place to go. Their prices were very affordable and they have all the classic coffee shop drinks. Their espresso and coffee roasts are definitely fresh because you can taste the slight bitter and nuttiness of the beans. Overall, a solid coffee shop to grab a bite and drink to eat at! read more

First time at this location (I usually go to the one in Arcadia)! I swung by for a quick coffee since I had a work training meeting out here. I ordered the vanilla bean latte, iced and with regular whole milk. My drink came out pretty quick and it was delicious from start to finish. The guy at the register was friendly and provided great service. The baristas that worked could be a little friendlier. They just make the drink, call it out, and leave it there. No thanks, no talking, just straight business. But not a big deal cause most people who get coffee in the mornings are on the go and not into chit chat. The store was clean and they have a small condiment area of sugars and napkins. I didn't see any straws, nor was I offered one with me drink, so I'm not sure if they just don't give straws out here. read more

I've always been interested in trying Klatch, and I finally had the opportunity to while running some errands in San Dimas. I wasn't quite sure what to order, since I enjoy new flavors over traditional coffee. The staff there were friendly upon entering and greeted every customer. I mentioned that I am a fan more of savory than sweet, and I discovered that a common favorite here is the creme brulee latte. I ordered that at half sweet, and I have to admit I didn't think I'd like it. I'm generally not a fan of rich, creamy textures. I can tolerate creme brulee, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it. The drink was quite tasty, and I tasted something that reminded me of toasted marshmallows, though sweeter and softer, with a hint of toasted coffee. It's quite the combination that's hard to put into words, but it was tasty! I ended up enjoying my drink throughout the day, and it started to taste "meh" after a few hours. I'm not sure if that is my fault for not finishing a large drink in 1-2 hours, though. I'm definitely looking to return and try it again so I can better comment on this or offer more insight. I got hooked on Klatch after my first visit to the Pasadena store a couple weeks ago. I stopped by the San Dimas location with my kids to try more drinks. I got the iced Honey Bee latte with oat milk (recommended by the cashier), and my kids got the cookies and cream Javalanche, and Mexican Eskimocha (both w/ no espresso). I also saw that they had a Cappuccino Muffin, so I had to try that too. Everything was so good! My kids and I inhaled the muffin - it was basically a coffee flavored chocolate chip muffin and it was warm and yummy yummy for our tummies. We all really enjoyed our afternoon drinks as well. The Mexican Eskimocha was like a Mexican hot chocolate (cinnamon and chocolate flavor) blended with milk & ice. If you're in the San Dimas/Glendora area, Klatch would be one of the two coffee places I would recommend. You'll pretty much find your favorite coffee drinks here from cold brew to cappuccino to lattes. I'm a fan of the beans they use because I can taste the coffee notes and their cold brew/nitro cold brew is pretty strong. I've tried other drinks on the menu they're all pretty good. If you need milk alternatives, they got them. My go to is the almond cashew. I get my beans here once a month to make lattes at home. I'm also a huge fan of their seasonal drinks and my favorite one is the pumpkin spice latte. They make their pumpkin puree in house I believe. A lot of pastries and food options to choose from. I highly recommend the cinnamon twist warmed up. It's not too sweet and it has a nice crunch for every bite and goes well with a hot cup of coffee. It can get messy because it's super flaky. The avocado toast and the wrap rounds out my top 3, including the cinnamon twist. Lots of parking as it's located in a huge plaza. Customer service is excellent and the baristas are always checking in to see how your day is going. I would say good amount of tables and a couple of couches to lounge on inside, but it can fill up quick on a busy day like the weekend. There are about 3 tables for outdoor seating. read more

This cup usually tastes a tint of sweetness with a smooth finish. Klatch also collaborates with many local shops to roast some direct trade beans.
