Knappa Pizza is the best pizza in Clatsop County!!!! There is no other pizza in this area that even comes close to this pizza. I have tried all of the local pizzerias and it is like they have given up on even trying to make a decent pizza. Thin, burned tasteless crust is the norm in Seaside. We had driven by this place a number of times and we stopped on a Sunday afternoon. It was a pleasure to see see a "salad bar" and actually eat from one. The pizza and breadsticks were yummy. Worth the stop if traveling down highway 30. read more

The pizza is always great! I would venture to say it rivals some of the wood fired pizzas I've had in Astoria. Fresh hand thrown crust!

Stopped in after a nice clam dig. Was about 8:00pm. Waited a few minutes before anyone showed up at the counter to take my order. Started by saying I'd like to order a half all meat and was quickly cut off, saying he wasn't going to do a half/half because he was busy. I ordered two small pizzas for hubby to pick up. I gave the name the order was under. He went to pick them up and he gave the name... no order.. just one marked "pick-up". He was asked what the order was and he wasn't sure. He said " two call pizzas". He asked the girl to call me since he didn't have a phone she replied "I can't" and was more interested in smoking with the boys. So he left extremely frustrated. I called and spoke to the person who took the order. He failed to put a name on the pizza. I was told they were ready for pick-up. By now it's been over 30 minutes and I said we weren't going to make another trip to pick them up. The guy was polite, the girl not so much. The crust is pleasantly soft with just enough crunch and crispness to it. If you like a very cheesy pizza this is the place to get it, they load up on the cheese which I really enjoy. The toppings tasted nice and fresh (I got a pepperoni and a combo pizza). In the 30 years we have been driving to Astoria from Longview, we have always frequented Logger Burger in Knappa, Oregon. We stopped there today and were totally shocked by the dramatic increase in their prices. I'm sorry, but I will not pay $17.00 for a burger!! Outrageous!! SO, we drove across the HWY to Knappa Pizza because there were a LOT of cars in the parking lot. When we got there, there was no one in the restaurant. All the patrons were in the bar. We're not drinkers, so we went into the restaurant and we were greeted by this very friendly young man. He was our waiter, cook and cashier for the moment. He got us to stay by mentioning the Happy Hour Burger. It was fabulous!! My husband got a PILE of tater tots and I got this BIG pile of onion rings, All of it was VERY good!! I got to talking with the manager and they may be taking on Karaoke. Can;t wait if they do!! I totally recommend this restaurant!!!! read more

Knappa Pizza and Bar has all the pieces to be great, but the execution is holding it back. First, the bad: The lighting in the bar is atrocious. People go to a bar to feel comfortable, not to feel like they're having a dental procedure. Light bulbs are cheap, get some decent ones. The pizza is solid, but know your market, very few people in Knappa get home from work and say, " You know what I want, some expensive gourmet food, let's go to Knappa Pizza." Not quite, what they say is, " I'm too busy/tired to make dinner, and I forgot to buy frozen pizzas, let's get something quick, easy, and hopefully, cheap." Or they say "I have to feed a bunch of kids and don't want to spend a car payment to do it." Now for the good: The bar is huuuge, lots of room for lots of good times! Lots of TV's for watching the game. Jeff is as good a bartender as you will find anywhere. Period. No offense to any other bartenders, but that guy should be working every night shift you can stick him on. The wait staff hustles and although they're young, they have a good attitude. All in all, it's great to have another option in Knappa, but what is it I heard someone say once? Oh, yeah: "Anything worth doing is worth doing right." We are locals and were looking forward to a pizza restaurant close by. The pizza was good. Our first visit to the restaurant side right after they opened was OK, but very disorganized. Our appetizer came after we finished our pizza and it was cold. No takeout menu and the cashier had trouble finding the phone number. Second visit we tried out the bar since we have no children and they serve food in the bar also. Disaster. We arrived at 7:30 pm last Friday night and there were 5 out of 9 at the bar who were drunk and nasty. Fighting with the bartender who wasn't totally there either. We tried to stay to ourselves at the far end of the bar, but the angry drunks eventually got in our faces and the bartender did nothing to stop it. They accused us of texting about them, which we were not. We are seniors, and even though we have seen and heard some of this kind of behavior, we will not go back to this business or refer anyone to it either. It is not safe for anyone. This bar is on the main highway into Astoria. We don't need our tourists attacked in a family restaurant and bar. We finally asked the bartender to escort us out and told him about our concerns.
