I hadn't been to Kneaders in years so I forgot what I used to get, but Matt helped me figure something out by asking me what i used to get and then telling me popular items. I told him I wanted the "chunky mustard" and we all started laughing because clearly "chunky mustard" sounds gross and isn't the right word. When I pulled up to the window, Neil greeted me so kindly and just began to talk to me. These 2 men would've never known that this was my first meal in 2 days, I had been sitting in a hospital room waiting for any sort of news, and my brother got deployed. My friend and I have been here a few times. I haven't tried the soup but the sandwiches and breads to take home are delicious. I had a Turkey and cranberry sauce croissant today very skimpy on the turkey so I tasted more bread than sandwich. I may have had one slice of turkey, didn't fill croissant at all. Eh. Stopped in on a walk for a drink and a slice of cheesecake. Took almost 15 minutes to get a single slice AFTER ordering bc very untrained person at register would ask a question- like how to ring up extra dressing- and everyone else working would stop and stand there to show her. Doesn't take three people to push a button, or even explain where a button is. The tiny slice and small drink set me back 8 bucks. Really bad experience here tonight 2/26/2022. Entered for dinner at 5:45pm and placed order for dine in. When food came to table it was packaged to go, we explained we wanted to have it for dine in. I want so much to love this place to death but they make it so hard!!! They're healthy fast food you don't have to feel guilty over but they are just a hot mess! I have stopped here probably 6 times in drive through on Saturday mornings when I'm late taking kids to extra curricular and need to grab food because I will be stuck at their event for 5 hours. 5 out of 6 of those times - though I explained I have dairy allergy and just want sandwhich plain with NOTHING on it but mayo, not lettuce no onion no nada they STILL PUT DAIRY. 1st time I just threw it away because I didn't feel like using my epipen and chancing it. 2nd time I let my kid eat it. And 3rd time after telling them they have still put dairy DO NOT PUT IT, and still finding it with dairy I was livid! I called manager and was told to exchange it and she will give me a free loaf of bread too. (5 hours later when i can finally leave and starved my behind off). Told myself I would never come back but they're only place on way! 4th and 5th times I just ate the 1 side of bread that didn't have cheese and threw the other side out. ‍ oh and they didn't give my 5 year old her damn cookie in her kids meal so that totally was lame. And then on way home late with a sick kid at home I still stopped there for soup. I'm thinking they can't screw up soup right? So I go through drive thru- I ask if chicken noodle soup has dairy - cause then I could get some too! Me: hey does your chicken noodle have dairy? Well he helped about 5 other cars in drive thru, while we stood there and waited and waited and waited. 15 minutes goes by before an older lady who must've been on break eating at one of tables comes back and asks if I've been helped. I tell her I'm still waiting for guy at drive thru to give me allergy info. He pipes up and says oops he forgot. (Now 20 minutes from my first attempt to order at drive thru, 15 mins since i was waiting Inside) then another 5 for her to make him find the info before I can now order 5 soup bowls. (Took 30 mins to order food) Sat and waited about another 15 because it seemed no one knew how to package the soup "to go" so they had to keep asking other people and then someone else would chime in something different. So they don't take food allergies serious/or really care. And it could take you 45 mins just to take 5 soup bread bowls to your car to leave and take it home. Husband ordered a pastrami on honey wheat. Kid ordered kid's ham and cheese. Three eclair, ALL to go. Everything was presented nicely. Service was great. Girl was pleasant and explained the menu to us. Food was just ok. My husbands sandwich looked liked something I would have made at home. My son's ham and cheese was just that, ham and cheese, no lettuce or tomato, I guess you have to ask for it. The star sugar cookie that comes with his meal was absolutely horrible. Void of any sweetness except for the red icing on top. My soup was good but I have had better. Asiago is a white cheese and this soup was orange. Please just call it cheese soup. There was absolutely nothing wrong with our meal I was just expecting more for $30+ dollars. Food was decent, although the person I was dining with had the skimpiest sandwich we had ever seen. A single layer of meat folded over in half, with a half slice of cheese in a full sized croissant. The soda ice machine was not working and two of the sodas I tried had no carbonation in them. The young lady at the counter took my card and ran it and returned it with my receipt (with her gloves on) and then walked over to the counter and got my pastry with the same gloves. She proceeded to walk back to the counter take the next order (with the same gloves) took the customers card and ran it, and went to the counter and got two eclairs out with the same gloves and put them a bag for her. Not a good way to keep down on germs. (I threw my pastry away at the door.) Staff was polite to me, however they were irritated by a customer asking for more pesto on her sandwich. As soon as she walked away from the counter, they began sharing their displeasure over her displeasure, while other customers were standing there waiting for orders. Kneaders is hella underrated! I came for the first time today. I got a club sandwich with pomegranate berry iced tea. You can never go wrong with a club - it totally met my expectations. The tea was the star of the show imo. It's fruity and super flavorful but not sugary. It's actually quite similar to Pita Jungle's tea, but even better. Hard to imagine, I know. Oh! And they have pastries! Like real fresh pastries like fruit tarts and mini bundts and something called orange rolls (looked BOMB but didn't get it). The staff was also really friendly! Girlfriend at the counter was literally a cashier out of a commercial. I swear she's either getting a raise, or just got one. The ONLY downside is that they don't have wifi. I had such an amazing experience at the hands of Ellie and Megan a month or so ago, it solidified how much I love this place. Being a mom to a toddler who is currently not sleeping through the night has been awful. I can never know what nights are going to be terrible and which ones will be great. Well this was a day after a TERRIBLE night, I had forgotten multiple major things throughout my day and was absolutely exhausted. I was running on empty emotionally and mentally, and found myself starving. I ended up at Kneaders, in the drive thru seeking food before I planned to nap at home for a bit. But when I pulled up to pay, I found that I had forgot my wallet at home. Cue immense anxiety and feeling the need to pull over and cry into my lap. I was flustered, exhausted, hot (end of July in AZ), and super hungry. Ellie seeing my desperation asked her manager Megan, and Megan allowed my husband to pay for my food over the phone for me. No joke, this was one of those moments that just the slightest bit of sensitivity made the world for me in that moment and these women were SO empathetic and understanding. This Knesset's specifically has earned my business for quite some time, and will continue to sign its praises as I truly appreciate Megan and Ellie's empathy and understanding. read more

A friend recommended this place after we were done exercising. He told me I just had to get the French Toast. Walking in it feels like you walked into someone's home where they are making you food. The decor was nice and it went well with the home theme. They have a large variety of bakery items and coffee. The menu was straightforward and easy to understand. I ended up getting the French Toast and it did not disappoint. They give you whip-cream and sliced strawberries with it. I couldn't believe how fast they got the food out to us. Must had just finished a fresh batch. The food was great! The bakery is in the shopping center and there is tons of parking. They have a drive threw as well. My favorite is the carrot cake and I am normally not a carrot cake fan at all. I love that they have seasonal trinkets and gift wrapping station. I'm not sure how I've let Kneaders fly under the radar so long. I guess I kind of assumed it would be a Panera, but I was so impressed. First off, it's super cute and gives off the local bakery vibe, even selling cute holiday decor next to the adorable fireplace. The bakery items look AMAZING! I didn't try any this trip, but definitely will. I eat primarily plant based so their Large Green Avocado Salad (sans cheese/ranch, sub balsamic) was a great option for me. It was delish and so was the sourdough bread slice that came with it. The staff was super friendly and not one thing on my special order was incorrect, which is rare. I'll be back for sure. My family and I love coming here! They have the best freshly baked breads (sourdough and country white are our favorites). Their dinner rolls are delicious as well. We picked some up for Thanksgiving. Every dessert item I've gotten has been nothing but delicious too. The fruit tart, almond croissant are two of our favorites. Used Kneaders for 1st time this morning, as hubby & I were heading across valley to Tempe...thus, we "kneaded" our fix of liquid for the ride. Weren't coming for food...just coffee. Was so excited to get a turkey sandwich from there today. I asked for two whole turkey sandwiches that's it a simple order. Then I was given two halves of a turkey sandwich. I then told the worker that I ordered two wholes. She then said she would make me one more and then tried to charge me even though the receipt clearly said two wholes. Then it didn't stop there.
