First of all, being from Southern California, Culver's was never really available to us. I had it before in its home state of Wisconsin, but it's been quite a while, so when I planned a trip to Phoenix, this was definitely on the list! I came here and got the classics. A mushroom and swiss butter burger, some fried cheese curds, and a chocolate shake. I mean, that sounds like meal as good as any, right? Right off the bat, the burger was great! It was a meaty, juicy double cheeseburger that really needed not much more than some mustard to give me some acidity. I enjoyed it promptly and continued munching. The cheese curds were NOT the same cheese curds that I had in Wisconsin, but there weren't bad! Still hot and delicious, just not as squeaky or gooey like the ones in my memory. If it's your first intro to them, you won't be disappointed! Lastly, the shake: It was a chocolate shake, not really much else to say there. I think there are other shakes that are better, but I was quite happy with this one too. I can't hate on this experience I had. Visiting Arizona decided to try Culver's we did drive thru and even though there was a line it went pretty fast. We tried some buttered burgers the deluxe, original cheese curds, onion rings, chicken strips, and vanilla custard. I selected boom boom sauce and Culver's original sauce. The sauces were both ok, I would rather just have ranch. The burger was delicious and onion rings perfectly battered. Chicken strips were meaty and juicy delicious. Cheese curds are different a bit salty but good. The frozen custard was rich and yummy, we went plain on the custard. Pretty good fast food. read more

Instead of apologizing the staff member didn't believe us then proceeded to yell - this guy "says" he didn't get his dessert in a way that showed he didn't believe us. Which was uncomfortable and made for an unpleasant experience. To make it worse the ice cream amount was pitiful. A little customer service would have been nice. Hello normally I would give this restaurant four stars. Tonight we had a large dinner orders four large dinners and an order a chicken stripe. The Coleslaws (four) were sour and the chicken strips were spicy when the order was for original recipe. Please Culvers do not drop the ball. The Deer Valley Location was just awful. I ordered the sourdough sandwich single Patty / cheese and Patty so small it was only on 1/2 the bread and nothing on the other 1/2.. the meat on all meals were not seasoned and was cold. They said has a new cook.. needs training. . They remade the sandwich and all the food was cold. I've eaten at Culver's once before ( in Goodyear) and was wonderful. The Manager didn't charge us for our lunch which was really nice. He also gave us free ice cream for the trouble. Most of the food wasn't eaten and The overall manager who did this was top shelf and took the new person off the line for further training. This place was clean and the people were all friendly. Eli provided excellent customer service. I'm saying, above and beyond what I expected. Checked my to go order before heading out the door. They forgot to put my fries in the bag (hey, it happens!), and when I approached the counter, Eli took immediate accountability and action. He apologized for the inconvenience, made sure to drop in some fresh fries, let me know it'd be about three minutes. While waiting near the counter, Christian, another employee asked me if I had already been helped. It's wonderful to experience this level of attention and customer service at any fast food chain. Aidan, the assistant manager is way too young to be an assistant manager. Tonight I waited 10 minutes for our order through the drive-through window and we were told to pull up and wait. After waiting 10 minutes, I decided to go inside to see what was taking so long. As I walked in, I noticed there was one person refilling the ice machine for sodas, one person cleaning down the computers where you take your order and five people standing around the front area behind the counter and near the ice cream area doing absolutely nothing. Aidan, the assistant manager, approached, wondering what was the matter and I told him we were waiting for 10 minutes for our ice cream. He asked me what kind it was, and I looked over and saw it sitting on the counter. How long was it sitting there while everybody was standing around? The assistant manager didn't care. He handed me my ice cream and I told him I would like to be compensated for how long we waited outside, like a REFUND or something I suggested. He said that would be no problem. He walked me over to the computer, swiped my card ,printed me a refund receipt and THROUGH OUT my ice cream. I HONESTLY COULDN'T EVEN BELIEVE MY ICE CREAM WAS THROWN OUT AFTER I WAITED 10 MINUTES FOR IT IN LINE AFTER HIS ENTIRE STAFF WAS STANDING AROUND. I should've left, but I was bringing my children home some ice cream and didn't wanna come home empty-handed. So the assistant manager made me re-buy the ice cream that I just waited 10 minutes for. Even worse, I had to wait in line behind all the other orders until my ice cream could get made. I must've been there 20 minutes waiting on two ice creams. This manager does not know how to run a store full of employees, who are his own age, treat guests with customer service, or how to be accommodating for what is right in this world. I came in last night and noticed the drive through, the parking lot and the lobby was packed. Once inside I noticed that everyone standing waiting and everyone sitting at tables all had numbers waiting for their food. I stayed thinking this was going to be a nightmare. Yes I had to wait 16 minutes for my food but I have to say every employee had a great attitude and they really did a great job getting orders out as fast as they could. (Scratching my head as to why!) The hubby and I thoroughly enjoy going to this Culver's... the value for our money, the taste of the food, the people that work there, the restaurant itself... All combine to make us highly satisfied customers! At this point, let me give a shout out to Mgr Greg, Hailey, Josh, and Betty, who are just 4 of the staff that we encountered. All were exceptionally nice, and a pleasure to deal with! And let me just mention it was a pleasure to see Betty using two separate cleaning cloths to wipe down the tables and chairs, one cloth for the table and another cloth for the chairs... Something you do not see in other restaurants! This is invaluable to me! Who needs McDonald's and Burger King when there is a Culver's! We need to get Culver's in California...well, maybe not...if they were, I'd be eating here too much and too much burgers and fries is not healthy, but an occasional trip here is a great experience. Besides the burgers and fries, the frozen custard is fabulous, too. At this location I was especially impressed with the fast speed of drive through and the very helpful and courteous service. In fact the cashier was very thorough in making sure our order was correct, and it was! The burgers, fries and cheese sauce were hot and tasted fresh. Culver's has a fairly consistent and high standard for "fast" food. This location definitely meets it. The restaurant was very clean and bathrooms were in great condition. The food came out promptly and the were patient as the kids ordered their own food. It's a little interesting to get into due, if you're traveling south on 83rd it's best to get in through Ludlow Dr, the light before Thunderbird. If your heading north on 83rd then turn into the Dutch Bro's. read more

Came out from Vegas and had to see what the hype was about!!! This was the best burger I have had in a long time. We ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers, 2 double butter burger, and deluxe burger with fries and cheese curds; for a family of 5!!! The food was so amazing it is definitely beating Freddie's burgers which was the closest I could get to. The food was fresh and hot, cheese was melt in your mouth, the custard was the best so fresh and soft However the real reason for this review was because the customer service Aiden man he blew my mind. He was friendly, sweet and offering *. He came to the table to make sure we were ok, took our ice cream order and offered water but he was probably the most friendly and welcoming person I have come across in a long time!!!!!! Sorry, but as a Regular Customer here in this Peoria Location, I'm very Disappointed with the Shrimp/Fish I had ordered and the Manager on duty was quite confused about things. I intended on ordering the Shrimp Dinner, but he told me that the shrimps were turning out very crispy, and he didn't want to give me any. My wife and I stopped at this Culver's last night after dinner for a treat. It's in the heart of Peoria with the nearest major intersection being 83rd Ave. x Thunderbird. It's fairly easy to get into, but not so easy to get out of unless you're taking a right onto 83rd Ave., in my opinion. But enough about the local traffic nuances... The drive-thru had two vehicles in it, but it moved very quickly. The speaker in the drive-thru is clear and doesn't sound like Charlie Brown's teacher like most of them do which is kinda nice for a change. Our orders were accurate and quick! The chocolate malts we obtained were fresh and tasty! Just the right amount of malt powder because I hate it when I order a chocolate malt and it doesn't taste any different than a regular chocolate milkshake. As a Wisconsin native Culver's was always one of the friendliest restaurants we have gone to here in Arizona and it was a bit of home away from home. This store was in particular one of our favorite being so close to the ice rink during hockey season. My sons (12yo, 4yo, and newborn) and I were going to dine in and were sitting in the central booth before ordering getting situated and figuring out orders before going to the counter. My 4yo could not comfortably reach the table so he was sitting on his knees to reach. An elderly team member cleaning tables came by and told me that my child could not sit on his knees as store policy in a very demeaning tone and he need to immediately sit on his bottom. I replied ok and I proceeded to get orders and get my children situated. The team member stayed in place and continued to repeat herself very rudely until my son was completely on his bottom. For one I have never had this issue, two I do not appreciate being spoken to so rudely infront of my children especially when they did absolutely nothing wrong and were patiently waiting for me to go and place their orders.I decided to no longer stay at the establishment or place an order. It is very sad that this is the kind of representation of customer service that was given. We will no longer be eating at this establishment nor recommending it, I was truly heartbroken and upset at the kind of treatment received. read more

I was in town to run a local half marathon and had a craving for a decent burger. I came here for dinner on the recommendation of my local friend. Culver's is a mid-west burger chain, but fortunately for me there was one only a few blocks from where I was staying. They're known for their ButterBurgers and frozen custard. You really can't go wrong by buttering the buns! I ordered the Culver's Double Deluxe and made it a value basket by adding fries and a short Concrete Mixer (frozen custard) with hot fudge and caramel. People tell me that I should get the cheese curds, but even though I do love cheese, I just don't really care for cheese curds. Maybe next time. Once my food was ready, an employee brought the food out to me. I took it back to my room to enjoy. With the current ongoing pandemic, all of the employees were wearing face masks and gloves. Maybe just this location on Deer Valley but it was horrible. Burger patty was basically nonexistent on the sourdough melt. One tiny piece of grilled onion snd bread not even grilled just barely toasted with 1 slice of cheese and no condiment. Sandwich was jyst thrown together, Looked like something a bachelor might serve up his 3 yr old nephew visiting. My husband got the double burger and it was nothing like the picture. Large bun but Again burger patties tiny. Very disappointing. Its hard to ruin fries they were ok but onion rings were burnt. They provably should just stick to custards. Lots of kids working/standing around. Culver's is by far the best fast food place here in the valley! Their food is always high quality and consistently tasty. Their employees are always pleasant, and the service is fast, considering everything is freshly cooked. The inside of Culvers is clean and comfortable and has a relaxing ambiance. Other popular fast food places should use Culver's as a model. Instead, other fast food places have raised their prices while decreasing quality. I'm so glad we have Culver's!!! read more
