What a horrendous company. They were sent over by Geico for a simple tire change. They gave me an ETA of 1 hour, but Jason their "mechanic" arrived in 5 minutes, so I hadn't even gotten there yet. Without my consent, and without me even being there, he unlocked my car, put on the spare, didn't put air in it, and then took off. When I arrived he had already left, so here I am, stuck with a flat spare tire, in a parking lot. When I called the company and asked them why he did that, they said "oh... his air pump broke" Why didn't they send someone else? Why did he unlock my car and change the tire without me being there? How incompetent can you get? I will cancel my policy with Geico, as I have lost respect for them for using this ridiculous company. P:EASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! read more

By far the worst service I've ever experienced. My insurance called them for a tire change and they made it the most complicated process ever. Long story short I waited for over 3 hours at a gas station with 3 young kids and even prepared the spare. I called for an eta and the receptionist rudely informed me that they weren't coming out for a "tow." These folks came and jumpstarted my car not once but twice. The second time after I hadn't charged the battery enough the first time. Second time they even checked my charging system to make sure that if I let it run for an hour or more before swimming, indeed my battery would be charged. My insurance company called these guys to come out and help. Like other reviews the had an ETA of about 50 minutes. 80 minutes go by and I call my insurance. (I'm not completely unreasonable, I understand some things take longer than anticipated/traffic) They said I called and cancelled the job. I didn't have their phone number. I had a 3rd make this for me. Needless to say my insurance company called a different company out...but they didn't service my area. This company finally responded and was able to get to me 35 minutes after we set up a 3rd call. 2 hours and 17 minutes later. Knockout Lockouts saved my weekend. My car battery was dead, and I had shopping to do for tomorrow's party, not to mention needing to drive the supplies and myself to the party tomorrow. My car often stays parked because my employer provides transportation to the office. When my key remote wouldn't open my car, I called Honda Care roadside assistance. They scheduled a Knockout Lockout service person to arrive at my home in 45 minutes. The guy made it in 35 minutes, and put me at ease. We got my hood open, then he spoke to someone over the phone about the right procedure, hooked up a jumper battery, and had me start the car a couple minutes later. It was speedy, painless, friendly, and just what I needed. I can't comment on the service cost, since it was covered under Honda Care. I gave the guy a $10 tip, and he was grateful, explaining that gas prices have been eating into his tips lately. read more

I locked my keys in the trunk without any doors unlocked! I got on my phone and called my insurance and knockout lockout picked up the assignment 3 minutes later. I received a phone call from the company letting me know that they were on their way. Waiting for my car to come get a jump start. Called the answer service to see if the driver could give me a notice when he's 5 out. It's my work car so I introduced myself as so and so with so and so company. Because I don't know what's on her screen. The lady cuts me off and says "This is a business answering service so take us off your call list" I said no, you guys are coming to jump my car, the rest of the conversation she was rude and unprofessional. i've had the unfortunate circumstances that would lead one to need service from a company like Knockout Lockouts more times than i'd like to admit.. Once a few years ago I locked my keys in my car... Once my car battery died.. And again last night when i ran out of gas and subsequently needed a jump start when my hazards killed the battery.. the first company my insurance dispatched just didn't bother to show up, but Knockout Lockouts was quick, friendly and courteous.. they didn't laugh at me for running out of gas, and they got me back on the road again in less than estimated time... read more

Not a company with whom I would voluntarily do business. Had a service request for a jump start through Enterprise roadside. After they didn't call me back in an hour, Enterprise called them, and they said I should hear back from them within 15-20 minutes. 40 minutes later, they called. I had already made other arrangements by then. Waited for two hours, getting promises and excuses the whole time. A promise of 15 minutes stretched into 40, I had to call them to ask what was going on and supposedly the truck was working on a difficult problem with a previous customer. Again, the promise was 15 minutes, which stretched into an hour and a half (total), and finally I called my road service company and asked them to choose another company. Nobody from Knockout ever came, at least not while I was there. I had to call someone else who arrived within 15 minutes. While we waited in the car, we took to calling them 'knockdown drag-out'. read more

Sub par - after an hour I received a phone call by a guy who let me know that I was not on the off ramp where my car had stalled because that off ramp didn't exist - no joke - this is in walnu creek ca - they are about a mile from this off ramp ygnacio valley off 680 - we went back and forth concerning my location and I wad told to get out of my car and find a building number - so they could locate me - tried to explain that there are no buildings on the off ramp and and was told they would call me back in a few minutes and maybe then I could provide better directions - this is the company that my roadside ins referred when I called them I called back to get the office address so I can talk to them after i get picked up Still sitting in my car for now - read more

I wish I could leave zero stars, we ran out of gas on the road and were stuck on the turn lane, I called gieco and they set us up with knockout lockout , when I called to find out where they were the guy who answered the phone was extremely aggressive and unpleasant , he did not let me say anything and told us to just wait. We were stuck in a hot car with our two young children for more than an hour!!! They did not bother to get our exact location and so even the driver had a hard time locating us. these are not the people to call in case of an emergency . read more

They came to my rescue around the same time my insurance company told me they would and got me back on the road immediately.

My roadside assistance called knockout lockout company and they told us it would be an hour before they got there. Then after an hour we called them and they told us it would be another 45 minutes. Then, it was 5 minutes, then it was 5 more minutes and then 5 more minutes and then 2 more minutes and then 1 more minute. The dispatcher actually told my roadside assistance I should them now. 15 minutes later they finally showed up. Because my low profile tires had to changed back to a Mercedes donut, the screw posts needed to be changed back to the original Mercedes posts. The guy said we don't do that and got in his truck and left us stranded. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan was there and actually figured out that we didn't need to do that at all and he fixed our tire. The tire guy should have actually looked at our situation and been able to solve the problem but he didn't care he was just ready to leave because he wasn't smart enough to figure it out. My roadside assistance company filed a complaint against the dispatcher and the service man and the company. Looks like they won't use them anymore! And neither will I! read more

Locked my keys in my Enterprise rental so I had no choice of who to use. After reading the Yelp reviews, I called them twice to confirm their ETA. They generally promise an arrival within 55 minutes, but after two phone calls they promised the guy would be there only in 40 minutes. I waited a total of 100 minutes for the guy who DAMAGED THE CAR DOOR while prying it open. Never again. read more

They were sent to me by Toyota Roadside Assistance (which of course had expired before I ever had to use it, so I had to pay myself) when I had a flat tire yesterday and 2 small kids to chase around so that I couldn't switch out the tire myself. The guy was there within 5 minutes of the 45 minutes he said he'd be, was very professional, and changed it out in about 5 minutes flat (no pun intended). I was quoted $55 cash or $60 credit, which seemed fair given that someone has to drive himself all around town changing peoples tires or unlocking their cars.
